I have an 11 pound puppy that was just spayed. So I purchased this to keep her from licking her incision site as she was able to get out of her ecollar and chew it up. What I liked about this pro collar is that her view wasn't obstructed and that she wasn't running in to my walls, furniture etc. she also seemed to be more comfortable in it. What is unfortunate is that she was still able to reach her incision site to lick if she really tried. I can really see this product working on a larger dog that has longer distance between their mouth and site of incision as not only would I need a larger pro collar and the dog would have to really bend farther to reach the incision. This is why I gave it three stars and not a 1 star. I don't see it working in situations where incisions are on limbs and such. So for instance, if my long 80 pound lab needed to have surgery on his belly or torso area I would purchase this again because he will have a longer distance to reach than my tiny flexible puppy. I have this collar. I used it last year when one of my girls had a lump removed from her chest. It was so much more comfortable for her to sleep in that a cone. She was able to see, eat, drink and do pretty much anything while wearing it. I just pulled it out again because my other girl had a cancer lump removed from her armpit area. I have Dachshunds so no cone stops them from licking if they have an injury lower than their midsection. But this worked wonders for both when the injury was on the chest and waist area. Some tips.. 1. It does require a collar to be attached to the inside loops to keep it securely on your dog. You can't just Velcro it on their neck or your dog will probably find a way to take it off pretty quickly. Also, make sure the ends of the tube are touching when you Velcro it or your dog can get around it to chew. 2. Make sure it id inflated enough. If it is not, your dog will get it off. 3. If your dog has an injury that is lower than waist area, it may not be enough to keep them from reaching that area.lilys mama

I've now purchased this twice for my cat when she had minor surgery and it has been a complete godsend. My cat was so stressed out with the cone because it significantly impaired visibility and didn't allow use of her whiskers. She was constantly stressed and trying to hide in the darkest, tiniest, craziest spaces, and would get stuck with the cone and unable to get out or move. Poor kitty. 🙁 She has a history of being bullied by other animals she lived with before we rescued her, and while she is usually very comfortable in our home, she was so scared and stressed from being unable to assess her surroundings and move around freely. Before we knew about the collar we tried a soft cone (didn't help) and two kinds of bandages (didn't stop her from picking at the wound anyway). Then we found ProCollar (the 2nd one we bought is called ZenCollar but it looks/functions the same) and it was such a lifesaver! Once we put this on her, she became almost instantly more relaxed and back to the sweet and loving cat we knew. I am so thankful somebody thought of this idea and made it!!! The idea of my poor cat being stressed out for two weeks (while probably in pain and not feeling good during recovery) made me so sad. I have not had any issues with leaks as others had, but if I did, I would just go buy more, it is that great of a product. My cat had sutures in two places (from two different procedures a year apart) – on her front leg and near her butt – and she wasn't able to reach either place with the ProCollar. I had high hopes for this collar as my older dog has a chronic condition and we are all very tired of his cone bumping into all of us and the whole house, and so is he. But, despite measuring and it appearing to fit exactly as described in the instructions, he had NO TROUBLE getting to the growth on his underside. Complete waste of time and money. He may as well be wearing a sock. We tightened everything to the point of it being uncomfortable for the dog and still he just reaches around like its nothing. I don't understand what this collar is supposed to do for a regular 60 pound mixed breed dog, about the size and shape of a medium lab.mg77

I love these collars as they do not freak my dogs out and they still can drink or eat while wearing it. Definitely better than a traditional E- collar. This was used on a front leg with a cut on a Rhodesian Ridgeback. I've also used it for spays and neuters.Tami P.

The Bite Not collar slowed my pup down from licking his neutering surgery, but didn’t entirely stop it. He is very flexible, so could wrap himself around to lick. The collars are very well made. I had to use one size larger to control his movements better than the right sized one. We bought two, one for our larger dog. Use the cone of shame in his cage for the night. I have a 11 Year Old Shih Tzu and a 2 Year Old Doberman Pinscher both males. My Shih Tzu can stay outside all day long and a fly won't even bother him but when my Dobie goes out , the flies for whatever reason are immediately attracted to him. It was so bad that even when I would walk him they were on him like they were glued to him. For the last two Summers of having him I would only let him stay out for short periods of time, which was heartbreaking because he's very nosy and spending time out in the yard. This item is just awesome. I put on my gloves, smeared some on the areas they affect him most (his ears and his back) and there was not one that comes near him. Its the best , And you get more. I have five dogs. And two are outside. Flys was on them. As soon as I open the jar and place it on their ears. The flys took off flying. And my dogs looked relief. I bought this spary at my local TS store because it had a coupon for money off. The TS store did not have my usual brand of fly spray in stock yet. Where I live, my horses have access to wooded areas in my pasture. We have a very severe tick problem. I was finding ticks on my horses in January! After buying this spray, I have found very few ticks on the horses and the ones that are there are dead! Bringing horses into the barn is no cooler lately than leaving them out, and doing what's possible to mitigate the flies is a must if they are to stay happy outside. And inside flies are a bigger problem than normal because Country Vet Misters have been unavailable this year. Finding a fly spray that works and is economical is tough. This one is pretty good. I usually use Nature's Defense concentrate for the value. As far as a ready to spray items – this is my first choice. I always chuckle when fly sprays say that they last for 14 days….we all know that's NONSENSE, You have to spray them everyday and after workouts, especially if the spray is water-based. I hate flies and our area seems to have a lot! I always dread having BBQs and dealing with the fly problem. Usually that means putting the food inside and having people get their food from there and going outside to eat. I like the fact that this product doesn't involve any pesticides as we have a lot of wildlife in our backyard. At first, I had it hanging near the sliding glass door in the covered patio. It didn't seem to help much. I moved it to a different area that had more light and that did the trick. Flies are attracted to light so keep that in mind. Love the color!Mellow Yellow

I was not all to happy with having to assemble such a product, when comparing multiple other brands on the market that are application ready; as too the advertisement of it being all natural, which simply should state “fly paper”. The product works well, used during a all day picnic, the downside to that was hearing the constant buzzing of wings waiting to hear the flies extinguish. Some reason flies hang out in my garage by my entrance door to the house. I can’t figure out why it’s been this way for years. Everything is clean nothing dead anywhere etc. Nothing smells no garbage nothing that’s why I can’t figure out why. Why right there. The only thing that is there is a step up basically a 4ftx4ft platform into the house and it’s moveable so I have checked under it for anything that would attract them. People say could be they want in the cool air inside house idk I just don’t get it. So I purchase 2 of these. I’ve tried everything. I’ve done the bags before but they smelled so bad and disgusting. I guess no fly trap is glamorous tho. When I first got them I hung them right by my problem area one up high and one low (with the guards on it my dogs could still sniff it and didn’t have to worry about it sticking to anybody or anything) and then nothing for like month so I’m thinking what a waste of money. But then one day BAM it just started filling up. So I started moving it away from my door towards the big garage door entrance (so in the middle of my garage) hoping that they would follow it and get them before they get to the door and it has worked so far. Still afew get by but nothing like before at all. I’m not yelling hurry close the door before the flies get in anymore. Yes it looks so gross but I’ve hung it high enough about at 6.5 ft. So that you only see it if you look up I have one on each side and it’s still collecting them. Apparently as I have Noticed once one fly lands and is stuck the other flies hear it and go to investigate it then they get stuck. So you can still hear them which is gross but better than fighting them off to get in my house. There is no smell either. I have asked people that don’t live here if they can smell anything and the answer is always no.Would I purchase again? Absolutely and now I know to give it time it will work. I wanted to try using natural sprays this year. Since I LOVE the Pyranha blue-bottle spray, I decided to try their brand. I really like it. It needs a good sturdy spray bottle with a nozzle that can handle it (it clogged two of mine when I initially tried it) because it's a tad "thicker" and comes out sudsy and leaves a million bubbles on your horse at first, but I think that's great because you can see how much coverage you get from it. It also seems to leave all three of my horses coats nice and soft and shiny. It doesn't attract dust, dirt or get grimy either. I will say it's not quite as effective or last as long as the chemical spray, but I like the scent and that it's natural. I definitely recommend trying this if you're thinking about switching to natural spray.LoveMy3Horses

My horse gets fly spray applied daily. That gets very expensive very quickly. I saw this while I was ordering a few other things. I also ordered another natural fly spray. This was so reasonable and I like the natural part. The other spray worked "okay", but not enough to buy again. This stuff though, worked great! It smells wonderful too! My grey guy is prone to biting flies on his legs. At the end of the day, his legs are covered in bloody specs from all of the bites. It had been a big problem for years. This stuff seems to have eliminated the biting flies altogether. I have since bought a few more bottles. I definitely recommend it!Bodiesmom

This is a great product & works wonders for lots of horses but not my own horse. I’ve used this on lesson horses & other riders have borrowed it to use as well. I love the natural ingredients in it. My German Shepherd has had an ongoing problem with dryness of her nostrils and raw spots on her elbows from lying down. The elbows have bled on occassion. This ointment seems to soften the skin and it appears that she has less irritation. However, the problem still exists. Is there anything you could recommend that might be more helpful. I was on frontline for years but when I thought I saw a couple fleas on my dogs in September 2020, I decided to make a switch to Advantage II for my cats and Advantix II for my dogs— BIGGEST mistake of my life (seriously, like over any horrible exes). I have $515.97 in receipts I submitted to the company (which was as horrible as the experience, which I will get to) and spent an additional $70 in store (in which I cannot find the receipt) since September 2020 to December. I followed every tip on the website and insert and my animals were still covered. I applied perfectly. I applied initially weekly, vacuum daily, steam cleaned, wash bedding constantly, etc. I don’t even have carpet but on the stairs and have treated the stairs and couches with Predcor. I even bought those flea traps with the sticky bottoms. I am not including any of this in that total I spent– that was all on the flea medications themselves for the 6 animals. I have saved some, not all, of the vials so on 11/13 I called Elanco. They denied my request for any type of refund. They questioned my exact dosage dates and frequency more than a doctor wants to know about your menstrual cycles but I took my best guesses, for all 6 animals although I did know what schedule they were on but didn't have it in front of me. Then they said that the product was probably not working because I bathed my dogs initially at the beginning 48 hours before application?? Their website TELLS you to bathe them before application (see 2nd screenshot posted)! I stopped bathing them after the 2nd application as it wasn't working and the dogs were miserable and only tried 2 cats (and really only 1 successfully because we all know how that goes). They then told me that I didn't give the product long enough?? Their website states (see 3rd screenshot) and is the same for Advantage II "K9 Advantix® II kills fleas within 12 hours. New fleas that jump on the dog from the surroundings, such as grass, carpet and pet bedding, are killed within 2 hours with protection against further infestation for at least 4 weeks." I tried their products, $600 worth on 6 animals, as scheduled, no missed doses for 4 months. I can’t blame it on just one animal or one batch—it didn’t work on 6, or one batch! I am very upset. Not only have I wasted money on these but I have bought corresponding products, sprays for the beddings, flea traps, etc. I FINALLY called Terminex and had to spend 12 hours clearing out under my beds, closets, getting everything off my floors, moving furniture etc. (time I will never get back) and getting my children and pets out of the house and went back to the brand that works: FRONTLINE! NO MORE FLEAS– what I should have done in the first place. I am so upset not by the fact that the product didn't work but by the way the company handled it, dodging any responsibility from blaming it on the baths they recommend to the length of time I gave it when they could have just refunded me and had someone that isn't going to not only post this review every place I bought it (not just here) but every other place that allows a review to include social media.Intelhottie

We bought Advantix liquid application anti-flea and tick treatment because it is effective, was less expensive and did not require a prescription. We had easily and successfully used liquid Advantix for years with our Plott hound mix. We now have a beagle. Beagle hair is different; it's thick, coarse, oily, kind of water proof and difficult to part in order to properly apply the liquid to the skin. Advantix is a very good product, but pet owners may want to assess their pet's coat to determine how the liquid application could be applied.Gary

My dog was getting ticks so I purchased this. I have used it in the past with great success when it had the Bayer logo on it . The one I received has the Elanco brand logo on it. I used 1 bottle and It was like I used nothing at all. Mind you I walk my dog and when he comes in the house I would find 2 or 3 live ticks walking on him. So I figured ok maybe it didnt work or I didnt wait long enough. After about 10 days of this I applied another bottle and again nothing. He still kept coming in the house with ticks every time. So I'm not sure exactly what's going on but the package I received appeared to be authentic. All serial numbers matched and packages were sealed well. We used this product on our grand dog. He was a scaly, crusty mess and had lost most of his hair. We took him to the vet and put him a regimen of medicated shampoo, oral antibiotics and an immunomodulator. We used the Skin Soother immediately after his daily bath. We also have him the salmon treats daily. I believe this product helped him regain his health. His color came back and all the scales and itching were gone. So I bought another. Even though the regimen is over, we are still bathing him regularly and applying the Skin Soother. That was over a month ago and he continues to look better than ever! My pug had a dark bald spot on his neck from scratching and I was looking for something that would hopefully heal the area and let his hair grow back. I discovered the skin soother and decided to give it a try and this worked like magic! I ordered the 2 oz stick version and loved it. The application was great. It was very easy and clean to apply overall. I applied it to the area twice a day for two weeks before I was able to start seeing results. The hair started growing back and the dark skin was lightening up and becoming less dry and flaky. At the same time, my dog was scratching at it less so that was a plus. Only thing is this stick was practically gone by my second week. It would not have come close to lasting the month. That being said, I had to order another to see continued results but I ordered the larger tin instead. My only issue with this product is the tin is a lot harder to apply. The texture itself is not as soft and smooth as the stick. I also had to use my own hands to spread it on which I did not like at all. It also gets messy in the tin as my pug sheds so there is now hair stuck in the product. My recommendation to the company would be to have the stick in a larger option and I would gladly purchase that. However, currently I greatly regret purchasing two of the tins instead of the smaller sticks. All in all, this product works and I would buy it again! My 22 month old extremely active male yellow Lab, Gus, developed redness and a rash on his belly area while running him 5 miles every day in and around rice fields in Glenn County, located in the Sacramento Valley in Northern California. My long time outstanding veterinarian recommended using Dawn soap followed by alcohol swabbing and Benadryl. He also administered a steroid injection to relieve the itching. My daughter, Kati, recommended that I try Skin Soother, as she used the product on her small Terrier mix who suffers from allergies. She ordered the 2 oz. roll on for me as a surprise. Summer and fall always brings annoying little buzzers that just love to bite me dotting my neck, arms, and legs with little bites. Repellent stinks something awful and that too can irritate skin as much as bugs! I've used this a few times so far for bug bites and other minor skin irritation. Using it is super easy, turn the power switch on, put the heating plate to the bite, and push the button once or twice. The ring around the button will light up but the heat plate also heats up quick. Either a 3 or a 6 second blast. The heat is a little unnerving the first couple times using it, but I never felt as if I were in danger, and I haver had any red marks like a burn (on un-bitten skin). I don't have a way of measuring the actual temperature, but its similar to touching a hot coffee mug for 3 seconds. Not enough to cause damage but hot enough to worry you. As for stopping itchiness, it does reasonably well considering there are no chemicals, odor, or further skin irritation. Its not a magic wand so multiple applications may be needed depending on your skin but its so easy to do so I don't' see this as a negative. The unit itself is so compact and lightweight you can put it just about anywhere in your car, bag, cooler, wherever you may be going outdoor. Just 2 AAA batteries that last hundreds of times. Overall it works, its tiny, and doesn't hurt too much; I'd rather have a little bit of heat over itching for days.Jay

We live in South Louisiana. Here they make jokes about mosquitos 🦟 carrying off small animals and if you get real close to the swamp how sometimes they're so plentiful that they block out the sun 🌞 on a hot day. But mosquitos really are no joke. They carry some serious diseases and some of us swell up a bit after their bites. On top of that, we have fire ants. I check my yard every week or so because their ant pile move across the neighborhood. The pile down the street will be in your yard before the month is up. I hste putting repellant on. Heck, it stinks. And you know it can't bd healthy putting an insecticide on your skin. So, I guess the only thing to do is treat it. Finally, something was invented and is sold at a reasonable price. I ordered mine from Wal-Mart. Had to wait a few days, but the price was probably the best I could find. I really got thus for my wife. She swells up a bit just like me and got a wasp sting that bothered her for almost a week. She took Benedryl and used a topical Clear Caladryl liquid on the sting, but that only helps so much. Well, I haven't used it yet, but I am hopeful that this thing will work. I'll post an update when I do.BigPete

So this little gadget is quite interesting. First of all, I love the packaging, it comes nicely packaged with everything you need, instructions, the bug healer and even batteries to start using right away. The instructions are available in 3 languages which is good to know. Anyways I got a mosquito bite on my inner elbow part and it was a red itchy bump. My husband put the insect bite healer on it as I read the instructions. Once it was turned on it felt very hot. It felt like a sting! The instructions say there are 2 levels 3sec and 6sec mode for sensitive skin and regular. I took off 1 star because I feel like it hurt a bit for the 3 sec I had it on my arm. After my redness went down and the itch was better as well but I’m not so sure a kid will let you use this on them. I do think it works and it’s basically a hot compress on a way that goes straight to the sting/bite but it kind of hurts a bit. I will try to use it again and even on my kids but will definitely warn them that is might be hot feeling to treat the bite. I think I didn’t expect it so it felt a bit weird to me.JJ4ever

I'm completely blown away by this product. I stopped giving apoquel to my dog, not only because of the expense (costing more than $200 a month), but also because of all the reviews I have read about the danger to a dog's immune system with prolonged use. But my large German shepherd continued to scratch and scratch and scratch. After the first application of Skin Tonic Spray for Pets & People, his itching subsided greatly. After the second application a few days later, he stopped scratching completely. I don't know how you managed it, but this stuff is gold! We took our Newfie/Lab to the vet to get vaccinated for a training class. Shortly after his shots, he developed a skin allergy with two hot spots on each hip. The vets thought it was a staph infection and put him on antibiotics & steroids. The issue reappeared after he finished the meds. The other vet thought he had skin allergies & put him on a 2nd round of steroids & antibiotics. That's when we searched online and found Wondercide. The Skin Tonic worked! This is my third order of Buggzo from Country Supply. At times I have a few flies on my horse during the summer, but nothing like my horse has experienced in the past despite other products sold to keep the flies off horses. Someone with several horses, however, would go broke feeding this produce to all of them. In fact, this product, and the cost, has kept me from adding another horse to the property. On some occasions I apply another wipe-on fly product to a rag and rub it on him before we go for a ride. That also helps, I check him regularly to make sure he is as fly-free as possible and this product works best. However, someone who can't make sure the horse is getting his daily dose, without fail, would have a fly problem if the horse misses a couple of doses. Overall it is excellent. Ed DodrillEddy

My husband and I have had our horses on this product for about 3 weeks now. We have 3 horses in the pasture and 2 are ours so only our two are on this product. I can say that they eat it right up, but I'm not positive about the effectiveness as of yet. It does seem that we have had less flies in general. The other horse that is not on this product seems to swish her tail and stomp more than the others, but she's also a more excitable horse in general. Also, we have had a ton of heavy rain and wind lately, which knocks the fly population down. I do think I would buy this again next summer. Doesn't seem to work for gnats at all, as the horses are still covered in them, but the flies (stable flies, house flies, and horse flies) seem to be less extreme. I chose this product over others due to the fact that it has garlic AND apple cider vinegar. A lot of competing products I found did not have the ACV. Palatability: 5KTMAE

Very impressive product. We seek natural whenever possible. The horses (2) are grumpy without it:) It's a treat for our mare (can't get enough) and the gelding eats it because it works, but doesn't care for the taste:) Without this product our horses come in from the pasture with loads of ticks and fly bites, our gelding swells up with fly bites, but when they are on Buggzo they don't have any of these issues. I bought this along with several other types of anti itch products. I previously had tried at least a half dozen other products and none of them worked. This product works. Our dog stops rubbing his head against everything to scratch the itch. It lasts for several hours. I put it on him a couple times a day and it works.Marjie

My dog was beginning to scratch a lot. I bought some MicrocynAH and applied it to the affected area. It worked very well as she had minimal itch. The directions are very vague for product usage given the inclusion of tea tree oil. Can it be used 2-3 times a day when your dog is scratching or should it be used once a day? Also should it be used on open wounds? And what about licking? Should my dog where the cons of shame once I have sprayed him with the product? I see it cannot be used around eyes and should not be ingested so after buying the product I now fear using it.Lori

I highly recommend this product for all dog owners! It is truly a lifesaver for my dog when his paws get itchy- when I see him gnawing on them and getting uncomfortable, l spray a little on him and he instantly looks relieved. He stops chewing his paws and seems comforted. I think it lasts awhile too because I don’t ever have to spray him twice. Also, the bottle lasts a LONG time. I’ve had my dog two years and am still on the same bottle I bought when I first got him. Definitely a great product and great value.blair.n
