We had to put a few holes on the bottom and zip tied it tighter to the front bike rack. I also added padding to the bottom for doggie bottom comfort. The double leach clips are handy. Lots if room for my 8lb Shihtzu. Daisy loves riding in it. Great way to include your small lap dog. Any larger I would recommend a trailer.Lara W.

Finally, took my cat out for a ride and she did not jump out. She loves the basket. The basket is very well made – high-quality construction. and looks cool too. I I'm extremely happy with my k&h travel bike basket that I use for my dog. It was extremely easy to install and has the easy option for removal after the bracket is installed. That is extremely important so you can clean it out. It's also quite helpful to keep it dry if you live in an area that likes to rain which I do. The soft insert slips out easily and can be thrown in the washing machine the inner area is made of a waterproof wipe down material. The installation was not real hard I was able to do it on my own with minimal frustration. I love the little side pockets I stick treats and a water bottle along with pet waste clean up bags. The double clip makes me feel safe and secure that he is not going to be able to jump out. My dog loves to ride with me I would recommend it for anyone who would like to venture out with their dog.Kimber032

It's really nice but it didn't fit on my bike, it's too big. Plus my dog is way to small. It's for a dog at the very least 10lbs. Also It would be good for the car. If it was a little smaller I would have kept it for the car.joang888

Zur Stabilität hat mein Mann noch zusätzliche Schellen angebaut. Jetzt läßt sich der Korb ganz einfach an und ab machen. Der Hund sitzt mit dem Gitter sehr sicher und fährt gerne mit. Mit einer 2. Platte kann man den Korb, ganz einfach zwischen Fahrrad und Roller wechseln. Zwei Minuspunkt: 1. Die Gummibefestigungen des Gitters sind sofort an den festen Enden abgebrochen. Wir haben diese dann durch eine dickere Gummischnur ersetzt. 2. Das Kissen ist nicht fest genug.Merle

I was surprised to find the basket so well made, it is a heavy duty bike basket that is made to last. It has multiple pockets as pictured, the front has 2 pockets and although it is not depicted in the product picture, the rain cover is stored in the lower and larger of the 2 pockets, and it is attached to a strap that is sewed into the interior of the top smaller pocket. This way, you won't misplaced it, and in situation where the rain cover is in used, it will remain attached to the bike basket if it was to come loose. It also has a cardboard insert that helps make the base of the basket hard providing support for the puppy, and helping to keep the shape of the basket. At the top of the basket, the 2 straps sits across the top taking up a couple of inches of the opening of the basket on each side. Inside the basket, there is an adjustable strap that is used to secure the dog into the basket.There is a metal bar that is inserted into the bottom of the basket that serves several purposes: 1- it keeps the basket in its form when expanded, 2- it provides some support when the dog is in the basket, and 3- it leans against the bike to stabilize the basket. One of the safety flaws is that this metal bar doesn't really support the dog's weight (#2) because it is leaned against the bike rather than installed onto the bike frame to provide permanent stability. It can slightly swing to the right and left when weights are added to the basket and the bike is moving. This could be fixed by adding a couple of bungee cords. I also used the bungee cords for another important safety reason (mentioned below).The basket is held onto the bike by 2 straps with plastic clips. With my puppy being only 11 lbs, the straps and clips SHOULD hold the basket in place with my dog is in it. Unfortunately, when the straps are not wrapped around the handle in a certain angle, even when adjusted, it could slip from the clip which loosen up the strap from the bike handle with just a light push do…Tilly

I bought this along with the Solvit Tagalong bicycle basket and the Snoozer basket is much worse. The Snoozer basket is not made very sturdy, which I noticed when I hold it in my hand (compare to the other one). The rectangular basket would deform readily. It is very apparent when it is attached to the bicycle with the dog inside, it wobbles a lot and is making my dog very anxious. I tried to tighten the straps as much as possible and it is still wobbly. The water bottle holder design is also poor. It angles diagonally towards the rider, which for us it right into the handle bar brakes. there's no way to put any taller bottles in it, and it is very difficult to even put or remove a shorter bottom because the brake is always in the way. The only plus is that this basket requires no permanent mounts on the bicycle so it can be moved between multiple bicycles easily. However it also means it is not very firmly affixed onto the bicycle which cause it to slightly slide back and forth on the handle bar even with the straps tightened as much as possible. I'll be returning this and get a second Solvit Tagalong basket instead.abj135

I ordered this bike basket a few weeks ago and finally got a chance to take my Maltese for a ride this morning. I was a little worried because it does wabble somewhat on the bike and I was afraid once I put Bella in it she would be afraid and try to get out. I was wrong!! She absolutely loved it. She sat right up with her little paws on the front of the basket and just looked around and took in the sights. I love that there is a safety clip I can secure to her harness. The fact that it folds up so small is a plus. Its easy to attach to my bike and when I want to go on longer rides without Bella I can take the basket off in seconds. I put my 10 lb. dog in it and the bike tipped. I was holding it and dog so no injuries. I then put my 7 lb. dog in it and she fits ok. But now I need to try it out with her before I comment on it. The buckles are the only security keeping the basket secure and am a bit uneasy about that. Also, for the high price of it, I am indeed disappointed in the overall structure. We shall see how it works out after I've had a chance to ride with the 7 lb. dog in the basket. If it isn't secure enough, I will return and expect a full refund.Janet

My 8lbs Maltese loves this basket. I have a Huffy Cruiser bike and it works great. Assembling it to my bike was super easy. My baby girl (dog) loved it; there were times when she tried to stand up (she's very nosey), & i thank God above for that protective hook that comes with! The bag itself looks sturdy and has a large lid to accommodate the dog sitting upright. However, the mounting hardware was missing and we need to return it. The construction of the carrier is well done, with the fabric being well tightly woven for durability and safety for tiny pets is awesome. My pup Luca LOVES going on bike rides, thanks to my Snoozer bike seat. Pros: It's very sturdy when installed, easy to take on and off, comfortable, comes with straps to secure your pup, plus I get compliments on it all the time! Cons: Bike gets very heavy towards the back so it can be hard to catch your balance when you lose balance (for example, when at a stop light), instructions for installing were not very clear (kind of had to figure it out myself), and one more security strap would have been nice. I kind of rigged it to where I can install one more make-shift strap to secure my pup. She was able to jump out on our second bike ride. The real reason why I gave 4 stars is because the time to ship took over a week, and when I did get my shipping confirmation, no tracking number was provided. I called the customer service line and left a message, no response. I then did a live online chat with customer service and finally obtained a tracking number. When I asked why it was not included in my shipping confirmation email, she simply said "I don't know," and didn't make any effort to find out why. Our dog seems to love his new snoozer bike basket. He’s about 15 pounds and has plenty of room in it. It feels very stable and secure which is nice for our longer bike rides to know he is safe. I was a little disappointed in the appearance of the basket, you can see the stark white foam inside through the holes the attachment straps come out of and it makes the outer fabric seems slouchy and not well fitted. I literally bought this to attach to my Motorcycle Scooter for my 28 lb small frame Schnauzer. I modified by adding a non slip pad, using a bungie cord under my seat and strapping it tightly to the body of the scooter. I also used his leash to secure him from jumping off. We had been searching for a carrier that had a cage cover so we could take our doggo on the ferry. This is just what we needed. It is easy to remove and re-attach and the handle folds down so it’s out of the way. I have this basket in my closet in my room, l use to put it on my New X-Treme Sedona 48 Volt Blue Ele4ctric Bicycle The clips worked out fine, but after awhile when l was going to work this basket fell right of the back l didn`t discover it until l was at work for three hours, after that l went back to go and look for it, then l found it. The only thing they ought to do is make this a galvanized steel basket with my stronger clamps on it so the basket can stay on the bicycle, and not have them rust after awhile, that`s about the only two things about it otherwise it`s a pretty good basket.Customer

If I could, I'd give no stars. Not only was the pocket on the side sewn on upside down, I put the basket together as instructed and when I used it as a shoulder holder, the strap broke and the basket went swinging. Thank goodness we were not outside, using it and that happened. My dog could have gotten really hurt. Then on top of that, I asked for a return and instead they credited me partial of what I paid and that's it. This damage was not caused by me….that's how it arrived! So why am I paying for it!!!?!!!! I bought this for my daughter so she could take her dog bike riding. The basket is poorly made and the straps are hard to attach to the handle bars because all the cables and brake handles get in the way. When my daughter was riding the bike the basket slipped and hit the front tire of the bike and the puppy and her crashed and fell into traffic lucky the car behind her was able to stop before they got ran over. They both had scratches and scrapes but they were both ok. DO NOT buy this product it is dangerous and should not be sold.Jccc

This trailer is easy to open & get ready for the road (I wouldn't describe it as "assembly"– you're just opening it up and popping on wheels). The ride is smooth, and we haven't had any tipping issues (my dog weighs 32lb). It's not especially heavy compared to other dog trailers. It's simple to detach & reattach to your bike for use. My critiques are that the nylon material isn't super rugged or thick, so zip with care. I do wish the back door also had a mesh layer so that if you're riding with someone behind you, they could see the dog.name Nicole

I've been searching for a large pet trailer for a nearly 70Lb dog. Decided to go for the Schwinn Rascal Plus as the price point was decent, though I could not find a single review for this particular trailer. Almost all the reviews are for the regular Schwinn Rascal for up to 50Lb dogs. I didn't want to spend over $200 for a large trailer, especially one my dog may not use at all. SET UP: It didn't come with a manual so I needed to contact the manufacturer for one. I based my purchase on the reviews of the smaller Schwinn Rascal (for dogs up to 50Lbs) and assumed assembly and function would be similar in regards to how easy it is to put together. This isn't the case for the Rascal Plus. There are a lot of parts. When I got a hold of the manual, it isn't very user friendly and needs a lot more detail. It was a two person job to put everything together, and you do require a number of tools (no tools are included). The cross bar is what allows the trailer to fold for storage. For the Rascal Plus, the crossbar is VERY difficult to put in place. I needed assistance from someone who is physically strong and even for them it wasn't easy to secure into place. I'm now hesitant to collapse the trailer for storage because I'll need help to get it set up again. Wheels: The wheels make me anxious, quite honestly. It's a pin that holds it in place , not secured in any other way. I took the trailer out for a test drive and I can feel the trailer shaking a lot. I'm not sure how safe I would feel having a living being in this trailer on the road knowing that a simple metal pin/clip is holding the wheels in place. Just about most parts are held together by pins, that are released by pushing a metal clip out of the way. The trailer does tilt back quite a bit, maybe I need to adjust the tow bar coupler position on my bike but right now it isn't level. The Cabin: Large cabin however this isn't for tall/long dogs. For reference, my dog is 45" long from nose to the base of tail (sacrum area) and 30" tall. The inside diameter of the cabin is 31" in length, 22" width. I like that the weight capacity is high enough at least to hold the weight of the my dog, but also hold a significant amount of weight when I need to haul items. Fabric: I can't speak on durability of the fabric but it is very thin and the entire unit is covered in pressure marks. It could use reflective material for night time visibility, right now there is only 1 small red reflector attached to the back. The weight of this trailer is quite heavy. I have no idea if it's made out of aluminum or steel because the product details are different (for the regular Rascal trailer) on just about all sites I've visited. I can feel it when I cycle up a slight incline. I do also think the attachment interferes with the wheel in someway, like my wheels weren't moving as smoothly after installing this trailer. There's a fabric strap that gets caught near the chain plate, which I moved further away but then it doesn't clip back to the original loop and I had to clip it to the tow bar pin near the coupler.Holistic Pets

This is a great product for your pet. Our 53 lb. lab loves it. It has easy access from the back and she gets right in. There is plenty of room in the 2 pockets inside the trailer and a smaller pocket on top. I only gave it 4 stars because I had a hard time removing the piece off the latch while I was assembling it. It comes with a mat for the bottom of the carrier but we added a dog pad to make the ride more comfortable for our dog. The material seems sturdy and we leave the front open for her to enjoy the ride. It has a small lead leash to secure your pet for the ride. It pulled very well behind my bike. We have electric bikes and the trailer hitch fit just fine on the wheel hub.Staci J

Great design and so awesome have on my bike! I did not know my dog was claustrophobic. There is a way to connect an internal leash to the cart to keep the dog in, but my dog panicked jumped out the top and rolled the cart as we took off. Good news! The cart is built with a safety feature that does not pull your bike over if the cart were to tip. Again, great design. Working with my dog to slowly to help her become familiar with the product. A PLUS: if the dog does not come with us, we can put a cooler and picnic lunch in the back. Wonderful to haul things in.Debra W.

The trailer is wonderful. Very roomy for my two toy poodles and easy (10 minute) assembly. The instructions state that the kit comes with a hex wrench, but it did not so you will need your own. It did come with all other needed attachments though – you do NOT need to buy the bike coupler attachment separately as it comes with that. It also came with a safety flag. My biggest disappointment is that it took 17 days from the day I ordered the trailer for it to arrive. I reached out to customer service three times after receiving no updates regarding its shipping status (the link I was provided was broken). The staff were very responsive and kind, but often did not have any definitive answers they could provide on an ETA. If you are looking for a pet trailer in general, I'll say this one is a great pick. But I would go a different route if you are on a time crunch to get one.Bl

Trailer came very quickly but the box was damaged. Luckily nothing inside was affected. Upon assembly I found lots of issues… most of the locking pins do not attach or detach without a lot of force and readjustment. This is particularly frustrating with the pins inside the trailer as there is no easy way to access them without laying on the ground and sticking half my body inside the trailer. The holes for the tow bar connector are not aligned so the only way to attach the trailer to my bike is by winding and holding the spring as i put in the locking pin, something that would be difficult even if they were aligned because as i said the locking pins do not go in easily. The way that the spokes of the trailer tires are set up using the locking lever of a bike pump is not possible and there was nothing in the instructions about inflating the tires. It looks very cute though. I got the blue one and its a nice color. I like that the mat at the bottom is removable, I do wish it attached in someway because every time I bring it out to use it the mat falls off and has to be repositioned. If you're planning on leaving it on your bike all the time none of the issues will really come up but thats not the situation for me and its a real irritating process to go for a ride with my dog.Kacy

One critique I have is that some of the zippers are a bit resistant to closing unless the fabric is pulled out the correct way so nothing gets stuck, notably the largest top opening, but this doesn’t bother me much. The bigger, but still minor, issue is that the sun cover on top rolls away and snaps up quite nicely, but the mesh top has no where to do something similar – my kitty likes to stand and stick her head up while we walk. I end up just having to tuck the mesh between my back and the pack while its already on. Other than those, a really great fit for us!Jaclyn B.

Awesome pet carrier backpack! Super comfortable and supportive. Only issue for me, is it's a little narrow as a backpack carrier for a cat (just because seems like cats tend to prefer to lay or flop). Nice thing though, it also functions as a duffle carrier too. It's a little compact, even with my cat being on the smaller side, however…Mr. Peanut's Original, is impressively well made at an affordable and competitive price. My cat likes it too! I researched loads of carriers before choosing this one for my girl @tigertheadventurecat and she is so happy in this carrier! I choose Mr. Peanut’s because of the 3-sided mesh windows, the optional sun shade on top, and the easy to use strap that keeps Tiger safe while allowing her to explore. I love that she can sit down and easily see out the front! I also love that Mr Peanuts is a family business that gives back and prioritizes carbon zero shipping! I find the carrier is most comfortable for me to wear forward facing and allows me to see her while hiking. The carrier is spacious enough for her to move around and I love that there are a variety of ways for her to sit. Sometimes she likes to pop her head out the top or even sit on top of the carrier. Bought Pet Palace a couple of months ago and my little fella is very comfortable,protected from the elements ( cooler weather) and definitely happier than in his milk crate. Lots of storage for leads,food and water plus baggies. This product is a little larger than the original one so is extra roomy and water bottle carrier at least you can put at a bottle in it and not wasted space. Lots of venting for warmer weather. The Pet Palace is a little on pricey side but I feel my co-pilot is safe and secure. He weighs 11 lbs.Pleasure

Very happy with the carrier so far except for the zippers. This is my second Pet Palace and I have had several zipper failures on each of them. I've been able to re-sew the zippers in a few cases but eventually they need replacement. Higher quality zippers would be nice; granted I use the bag every day so it gets a lot of use. Also, on this model the metal rod on one side eventually poked through the fabric and rubbed a hole in the fabric by the zipper. I repaired it and eventually shortened the metal rod a bit and repaired the hole it made so that it wouldn't poke through any more. If the metal support rod was bent at each end so that it followed the curve at the corner of the bag this might not happen and it might provide additional structure. Also I liked that the last model had two tether points on the inside of the bag (we travel with two tiny dogs). I riveted my own d-ring tether points on each corner of this one (like the old model) to give myself more flexibility. Other than that, it's a great bag.Jess

They tout a "rigid internal frame", but calling it "rigid" is being generous. It's about as rigid as a plastic soda bottle so it will hold its shape, but it will also deform when strapped down, when your 20lb beagle mix leans out of it, etc. It is not a roll cage, so don't expect it to offer any sort of safety should you get into a bad accident, but really none of these things will so that's something you just understand when opting to take your dog with you on a bike. Also keep in mind that it's an echo chamber inside. A heavy blanket really dampens the sound, and seemed to satisfy my sensitive girl. All that being said, it's probably the best option on the market, especially for anything larger than a toy breed. The vents and pockets are nice. The attachment points are helpful and the included straps should be adequate, but I replaced them with something stronger. The size is about as big as I could fit on a DR650 between a tail box and myself. Not perfect, but no regrets.Matthew

We got this tote which is airline standard to allow us to bring our pup on a flight with us. It’s very sturdy and it’s great it has 2 zipper options. We bought the medium sized, not the large but for some reason it wouldn’t show up for reviewing. My dog loves this, because he knows whenever it makes an appearance it means he’s going with us somewhere. A little pricey but we have owned it for years now and it’s held up great.lauren.f

I love this bag although I don't think my dog feels the same way. I just wish I had gotten a smaller size. My dog is only 8 pounds and I got the medium thinking it would give him more room and be more comfortable for him but it is too big. I still use it anyway though. This trailer is very spacious for my corgis. Despite their short height, they can see out the windows. They didn't seem to get any motion sickness and the zippers seem durable. Some of the seams of the fabric had threads coming out fresh out of the box. I'm hoping it lasts. I wish it came with a rain cover being that it was very pricey. I went with the XL due to the slightly larger dimensions, even though the combined weight of my dogs would've been under 75 lbs. The trailer goes on bumpy terrain, on grass and over hills just fine.Jessica

Went on a hike with a group of friends and let me tell you… carried 80+ lb husky (Bandit) in this bad boy and it was light weight! Bandit was a little nervous at first, but by the end of the hike he was taking a nap and would not get out!!! Highly recommend!Joana R.

This dog trailer is amazing! My dog loves riding in it. We thought she would be nervous b/c she is a pretty timid dog but she got right in. Now that she knows it means she can go with us everywhere, she loves it even more. It is super easy to set up too! The one thing is I wish it came with a soft padded bed. I know you can buy one but for $400 it seems like it should come with the bed. Our dog is a border collie mix ~ 32lbs and she fits in the regular size perfectly.Jessd
