Instructions were good but brief, missing some smaller details on placement of blocks, also short you about 6 pieces of wood that need to be cut making the process a little confusing. Also had to bend the tabs for the front door to fit on the wood frame since they were bent inward. Please be aware that this product will take weeks to get. Bass Pro advised an arrival date, and that date came and went. I contact them, and they advised if you scroll down it states that it is a drop ship item. So it was in the fine print, but should be shown during checkout/shipping. Bass pro advised that I would just have to wait, and nothing I could do to track it. The customer service lady was very nice, and stated this problem happens and nothing is done about it. I would recommend it. It is a nice piece of furniture and can blend into your home. The latch works very nicely. Haven't tried it as a gate yet. It went together very easily. I really wanted a size small, but settled for a medium because we were desperate and our dog likes to see everything, so the openness of it works out well for her. I was disappointed that it came with two small scratches on the wood. The small plastic tabs that cover the screws on the inside of the cage fall off. This item was delivered as promised. It was packed to protect the cherry finish, however, the were finish imperfections most likely due to poor handling of the product. When putting this item together (an easy process) we discovered that the wrong hardware had been installed at the bottom of one of the sides and the door opening. No excuse for this error and that's why the 1 star rating. We are returning this item which means we have to disassemble the item and box it to ship back to the supplier for a refund. Since this is a pain in the (you know where) the 1 star also reflects this process. One other item was sending pictures to the manufacturer to show the problem with the wrong hardware having been installed. They were very nice and helpful….but it took time to make the calls, send a picture…send emails and so on. In other words, another pain in the( you know where). We very much liked the looks of this item and the finish goes with our furnishings well. But……this is a classic example of ……" not doing it right the first time"…….therefore, I recommend the several companies we dealt with go to Quality Management School……James

The medium size I got was a lot bigger than I thought which is a wonderful surprise. I’ve split it into 2 and the double doors make it possible. I am currently training my little pup to use the other side as a bathroom as he weathers his first Chicago winter. Love it! And the great thing is the large window on the side is able to be tucked in the top to keep one side always open. The other smaller door doesn’t tuck on the top but that doesn’t bother me because that door is against the wall and not an issue at all. Quality seems great. Have had it for a few weeks and I love it. And so does my lil 10lb pup in his medium crate (but it’s large for him!). I love Petco. So sorry I can’t give this kennel a 5 star rating. Love the style. Purchased “large” size for 40 pound female lab/hound mix, 17 months young; fit perfectly (even 75 pound male “cousin” slept curled up a couple of times, for novelty). She’s not perfectly kennel/crate trained. Visiting our daughter & didn’t want dog to run around unsupervised. 1st time used kennel successfully for a few hours. 2nd time unfortunately used a lot longer. She was observed on camera chewing/pulling on rear end and pushing way out of bottom (latched) small front door. She got minor abrasions on cheek and paw; was a TIGHT SQUEEZE out. MOST UNFORTUNATE! Ughhhh; other purchasers had reported wire weaknesses, but I truly wanted to believe that my dog wouldn’t be strong enough. I will talk to customer service now. We have a growing 7 month-old newfypoo so needed to upgrade our crate to a larger size. I chose this crate for 2 specific reasons: #1, the height and #2, the top-folding door on the side of the crate. My newfypoo needed the additional height so he isn't hunched over if he's sitting up. The height on this size has given him an inch or two of extra clearance and should still work when he's done growing. For the 2nd point, I LOVE the top-folding side door. Because of where we keep the crate, we only use the side door and it has been awesome not having to walk around a door that opens to the side and is in the way of the main flow of traffic. Even though the crate is noticeably bigger than our old one, it feels like it takes up the same amount of space because of that door. I can't speak highly enough of it. For more practical items, the crate is very sturdy and well made. There were no problems with shipping and other than needing a little muscle, the crate went together very easily. My newfypoo isn't one that will try to escape from a crate, so I can't speak to that, but I have been very impressed with the quality of this crate and how easy it was to get my big-little puppy used to it. Initial impression is positive and the kennel has potential. However, the fail point of this kennel is the door. The welds between the door and the hinge are very poorly done. With light use (maybe a couple times a month) and a well behaved dog that does not fight his kennel or paw at the door, mine broke in less than 2 years. I expect a lot more from a product that costs this much. Furthermore, the company’s solution was a 10% discount on a replacement door, which they conveniently sell for over $130. The kennel is extremely well made. The shape of it maximizes floor space (compared to the Ruff Land), it is extremely well ventilated, and I love that it can be locked. Best value in an underbed box there is.
I am pleased with the overall construction of this tool box. I especially like the piano hinge instead of two cheap strap hinges like the cheaper boxes have. My only concern is that it might not take too much effort to break into. The lock doesn't appear very secure, but none of this style box seem better. I bought this box for the rear bumper of my travel trailer to keep my Honda eu2000 generator in. The generator fits fine and should be protected from the weather and be out of sight. Mounted to the four inch bumper with " Mount-N-Lock" brackets it provides easy and inexpensive storage with a lock.plumdummer

I recently purchased two of these crates for '13 Chevy Suburban. Got the largest crates available for Giant Schnauzer and a Rottweiler puppy. The Giant S can just barely turn around in it. Will see if the Rotty fits when full grown. The crates fit without having to take the third row seats out. There are about four inches to spare width wise with both crates in. Can load and unload from rear or side doors of suv ,if third row seats are removed. These crates are a bit heavy for me to carry in and out of shows and trials, but know they need to be heavier for sturdiness with large breeds. I'm going to try some sort of wheels for moving in and out of venues. Would like to have crate pads and/or cool mats that fit these crates.Kaija
The absolute perfect size to fit between the raised backseat and front seat of our truck. We looked all over for a crate big enough for our retriever yet narrow enough to fit in the backseat. I purchased two 42 inch dog crates to put in my Toyota Sienna Mini Van. They were a perfect fit. My dogs stand 24 inches at the withers and weigh 75lbs and 62lbs. Both have ample room to stretch out, stand up and turn around. The crates are heavy duty and I love the fact that they have 2 doors so I can load them from the inside as well. I have enough room on either side to store a soft crate or other dog related items. I am totally pleased with my purchase.AgilityMom

I am THRILLED with my end table/ crate! First, it came within 3 or 4 days of ordering! We ordered it for our boy Rambo because he likes to be to himself once in awhile, especially if he doesn't feel well or is scared. (He's a 15 lb. Pomeranian mix.) Well, we were delighted to find that this was so big and that it was made VERY sturdy with quality wood. It took us about half hour to put together and our boy has taken a liking to it. We didn't put the door on-just left it open. Our boy is a rescue and panics if enclosed in a cage. So with the sides and the back having the spindles and the door not on it, he really enjoys going in it. (He now takes his bones in there to chew on.) So we are very pleased with it overall. Very grateful to Hayneedle for having such quality products with such great prices and deals. You are the Best!! I would recommend to anyone who wants a "little place" for their furry baby. These solid wood pet crates are gorgeous and well built! High quality! Deep espresso with a sheen! My 20 year old daughter assembled both in an hour! Great price! My one Yorkie won't come out of this crate -he loves it! Ordered the small and my medium sized Yorkies have plenty of room even with cushions and blankets! Just be ready to make tiny predrilled holes bigger with drill bit little bigger than size of screws or you'll need the Hulk to get screws in! Just be careful not to drill through to other side! That's my only small complaint! Definitely recommend- you will not be disappointed! Gives room put together look! See pics. Came packed well with no damage and arrived quickly! I purchased this Newport Pet Crate End Table 2/19/2018. It arrived allot sooner than expected. Easy to put together and it looked just like the web pages pictures. However, the locking latch could've been more sturdy. The wooden bars across the windows were also not as solid as I would've preferred. The first time using it was the evening I received it. When I returned home after 4 hrs.he was at the door when I opened it. I bought this product as a means to contain my pet while I'm away. I use to let him run the house until I returned but in the last 4 weeks there have been too many events taken place while I'm gone. He's already chewed away at the bars til he's almost completely through. He's shihtzu mix.Charles
