My 12 year old Shiba Inu had 850 liver enzymes. That's so bad and I was so stressed. She has been on this stuff for over 1 year and now her enzymes are about 420. Cocker has “dry eyes and prescribed steroids and cyclosporine twice daily each eye. Suspect his extremely elevated liver enzymes may be due to long term steroid use or could just be his age. Haven’t tested for Cushing’s but sonograms reveal no tumors on liver or pituitary glands. He was lethargic and never feeling well until his doctor advised trying the Denamarin. His Opthalmologist concurred it was a great idea. Haven’t yet tested his liver enzymes again to see if the numbers have improved (hasn’t been on them quite a full month) but I’ve reordered and will receive the pills monthly. Bottom line: he’s a lot more energetic, playing with his toys again, not sleeping all the time, just overall feeling so much better. He’s acting normal again—normal for an 11-plus year-old Cocker. Did a lot of research before giving him the Denamarin and felt they were safe, and most people had positive results using it. Only drawback would be that the pills for large dogs are really big. You’re supposed to administer 1 hr before or 2 hrs after a meal, which I do with a little piece of boiled chicken breast to hide it and help it go down, and it goes down without a problem. Can’t imagine any dog of any size being able to swallow a pill that size without an owner hiding it in a little chunk of something, cheese, pill pocket, treat. Anything to help it go down easier. And helps if they drink a little water. Can’t wait to have his liver enzymes tested again. I’m confident they will have improved. Side note: when one’s liver is not working properly, urine can have an odd and strong odor, which his did. Standing several feet away, I knew something wasn’t right. That too has resolved which makes me believe his liver is on the mend.Yvonne

Yes, this product for me is the BEST !! My dog has all his shots and all of a sudden he is coughing and after a couple of days I am panicking. Kennel cough is common in dogs and cats…if you board your animals or go regularly to the groomer kennel cough can come from these places…it's great to have these drops on hand to ease the cough and throat…Libby

My standard poodle suffers from outdoor allergies. After battling them all summer the vet just said to double up on benadryl. I felt like I was drugging my dog. I saw an ad for these chews and thought it would be a better option to at least give it a try. My boy wasn't sure about the taste the first day and I had to wrap it in cheese. The second day, and every day since, he's gobbled it right down just like a treat! To test the results I totally stopped the benadryl and only gave him these chews. Wow is right, because I am floored at how well this works! I have 2 pups with horrible allergies – one that nothing else works for. I've tried all different meds, including shots, and she still suffered horribly during allergy season. I reluctantly decided to try this, but we were in the middle of allergy season, and watching her suffer is just too much. Fast forward to July 2019, and my order came in the mail. I gave two of the chewables to my pup the next morning, not expecting much, but just hoping that there would at least be a little relief. Much to my surprise, she didn't scratch AT ALL that day!! Pet Parents Allergy Supplement is wonderful! My dogs have less skin and eye irritation and can enjoy outdoor excursions during summer (allergy) season. It's great that it comes in Salmon flavor since one of my Shih Tzus has a chicken allergy. This really makes a difference for their ears, eyes, and skin. Purchased this product with not much confidence made a huge difference in my GSD allergies. Sprayed on the area he was chewing when he would begin chewing. It gave him instant relief, he now comes to get the area sprayed when he chews. I am going to use the same product which is an ointment to see how well it does. Rosebud was biting at her nether parts due to itching. This applied liberally relieved her jitters. I got this because we had two other dogs several years ago who were both affected by itching in different doggy-parts (stomach, behind, etc) and I used a similar product for them which also worked well. My little chihuahua will not eat her Pet Fresh food with this ground up in the food. I cut the tiny pink pill in half and crushed it into her bowl. She will smell her food and walk away, so this has not worked for her itchy problem. The pills might work for other breeds, but not for me. This spray helps relieve itch and irritation. It can be used on cats or dogs !!!! Apoquel has done wonders for my German Shepherd who recently developed seasonal allergies at six years old. He was scratching and biting at himself 24/7 and he caused an infection on his foot from the constant licking. He was so miserable until our vet put him on apoquel along w an antibiotic for his infection. The apoquel worked very quickly with relief felt later the same day he started. I am a vet assistant, and I see all kinds of animals coming in with different skin conditions or allergies and always felt so bad for them and their owners….. then I got a dog with allergies and then I found out what it's really like…. it is devastating watching your dog itch and scratch to the point of pulling their hair out, then when the hair is gone… then there goes their skin…. they will make themselves bleed and still won't stop. I tried benadryl I tried EVERYTHING, had to even do skin antibiotics and steroid Injections and still he was itching…. so… the dr tried him on this….. now… first thing I will say is this medication isn't cheap especially for bigger dogs (if you have a 10lbs dog it's not going to be too bad) but my poor dog had to start off taking 2 16mg 2 times a day and it was roughly 300 for the first month, however from there you taper down and after a few months I got him down to half a tablet once daily…. anyway…. this medication worked like a dream for him. He hasn't had any issues for over a year now and although sometimes he scratches its more of a normal itch. This medication literally saved him and my sanity. I was a little concerned with just how many products they carry all looking the same but yet with a different label. So I contacted the company asking them if they did a third-party independent lab analysis on all of their products and I was happy to hear that they said they did. But then when I asked if those results were available to the public they told me no. Why would you do a third-party independent lab on your products and then not allow the public to request a copy or post them. As with human supplements, animal supplements are not regulated like human products. These companies can get away with putting just about anything they want in a jar and slapping a label on it telling you whatever they want is in the product. I ordered 3 jars of the Allergy Immunity chews and 1 jar of the Allergy Skin Health. dog would not eat the chews. They smell awful and they must have tasted exactly like they smelled because he spit them out every time I gave him a chew. I even tried masking the taste with peanut butter, but he licked the peanut butter off and left the chew. The only way I could get him to eat the chew is if I wrapped it in chicken, and sometimes he would eat the chicken and still spit out the chew. It was so frustrating. I emailed the company and told them the situation. They told me to send back the 2 unopened jars and to donate the open jars or throw them away. After sending back the unopened jars they said that they are only replacing 2 jars even though I purchased 4.
This ordeal has been frustrating.

I was on frontline for years but when I thought I saw a couple fleas on my dogs in September 2020, I decided to make a switch to Advantage II for my cats and Advantix II for my dogs— BIGGEST mistake of my life (seriously, like over any horrible exes). I have $515.97 in receipts I submitted to the company (which was as horrible as the experience, which I will get to) and spent an additional $70 in store (in which I cannot find the receipt) since September 2020 to December. I followed every tip on the website and insert and my animals were still covered. I applied perfectly. I applied initially weekly, vacuum daily, steam cleaned, wash bedding constantly, etc. I don’t even have carpet but on the stairs and have treated the stairs and couches with Predcor. I even bought those flea traps with the sticky bottoms. I am not including any of this in that total I spent– that was all on the flea medications themselves for the 6 animals. I have saved some, not all, of the vials so on 11/13 I called Elanco. They denied my request for any type of refund. They questioned my exact dosage dates and frequency more than a doctor wants to know about your menstrual cycles but I took my best guesses, for all 6 animals although I did know what schedule they were on but didn't have it in front of me. Then they said that the product was probably not working because I bathed my dogs initially at the beginning 48 hours before application?? Their website TELLS you to bathe them before application (see 2nd screenshot posted)! I stopped bathing them after the 2nd application as it wasn't working and the dogs were miserable and only tried 2 cats (and really only 1 successfully because we all know how that goes). They then told me that I didn't give the product long enough?? Their website states (see 3rd screenshot) and is the same for Advantage II "K9 Advantix® II kills fleas within 12 hours. New fleas that jump on the dog from the surroundings, such as grass, carpet and pet bedding, are killed within 2 hours with protection against further infestation for at least 4 weeks." I tried their products, $600 worth on 6 animals, as scheduled, no missed doses for 4 months. I can’t blame it on just one animal or one batch—it didn’t work on 6, or one batch! I am very upset. Not only have I wasted money on these but I have bought corresponding products, sprays for the beddings, flea traps, etc. I FINALLY called Terminex and had to spend 12 hours clearing out under my beds, closets, getting everything off my floors, moving furniture etc. (time I will never get back) and getting my children and pets out of the house and went back to the brand that works: FRONTLINE! NO MORE FLEAS– what I should have done in the first place. I am so upset not by the fact that the product didn't work but by the way the company handled it, dodging any responsibility from blaming it on the baths they recommend to the length of time I gave it when they could have just refunded me and had someone that isn't going to not only post this review every place I bought it (not just here) but every other place that allows a review to include social media.Intelhottie

We bought Advantix liquid application anti-flea and tick treatment because it is effective, was less expensive and did not require a prescription. We had easily and successfully used liquid Advantix for years with our Plott hound mix. We now have a beagle. Beagle hair is different; it's thick, coarse, oily, kind of water proof and difficult to part in order to properly apply the liquid to the skin. Advantix is a very good product, but pet owners may want to assess their pet's coat to determine how the liquid application could be applied.Gary

My dog was getting ticks so I purchased this. I have used it in the past with great success when it had the Bayer logo on it . The one I received has the Elanco brand logo on it. I used 1 bottle and It was like I used nothing at all. Mind you I walk my dog and when he comes in the house I would find 2 or 3 live ticks walking on him. So I figured ok maybe it didnt work or I didnt wait long enough. After about 10 days of this I applied another bottle and again nothing. He still kept coming in the house with ticks every time. These are very soft chews that can be crumbled in your hand. I like that they are all natural and have ocean kelp among other excellent ingredients. These are safe to be given to dogs of any age, and are safe for any size or breed. I feel better about giving my dog a natural supplement. My poor dog suffers from allergies enough that his eyes turn red, he sneezes, and his skin gets itchy. I've had him on these for about 3 weeks, and I've definitely seen improvement. When he gets out to roll in the grass he isn't coming in suffering like he did before he started taking these. My dog wasn't sure of the flavor right off, but since these crumble easily I was able to mix it with something else and have him take it with no problem. If you mix them into a ball of cream cheese they go down easy! I appreciate that there is no corn in these as that is a frequent problem I've had with many other treats and foods. My poor boy's digestive system is not corn tolerant. I'm very happy with this product and very pleased to find something natural to give my dog for his allergies. I have a very lovable and friendly male golden retriever that loves to stop, drop, and roll no matter where he is. Doesn’t matter if he’s running around our backyard, at the park, inside his favorite pet store, or just walking through a parking lot. The minute he smells something he likes, he’ll immediately flop down and try to roll in it. This, of course, has lead to numerous baths and an unfortunate hotspot of red, raw, flaky skin developing on his tummy that has been difficult to heal. Our vet said the hotspot could be allergy related, triggered by all the rolling around, and suggested we try an antihistamine. I saw these seasonal allergy soft chews and thought I’d give them a try instead. So far, so good! The chews are a nice size, but too big or hard to swallow. Our boy loves the taste and gulps them down without even chewing. It’s only been a week, but I’ve already seen small improvements in his skin, especially where the hotspot is. This stuff actually works. Both my dogs have allergies and have to get the Cytopoint injections from the vet, for relief. If you have a dog w/ allergies you know these injections are pricey. These treats help stretch out the length of time between needing another injection. I dont think they are a cure on their own, but they certainly do help. My lab had hot spots recently. I bought this product and applied it to the affected area in addition to the antibiotic cream given by the vet. I've used these before in a cup style packaging. These larger quantity cone in a bag. The products work great and help my lab stop scratching. But the 4 bags I ordered were smashed into a small shipping bag with very little protection. When the product arrived I noticed the was A LOT of broken pieces and the bottom of the bag is full of granules from other broken bits too. Very disappointed my so looks forward to the treat each night so this stinks I need a spoon to scoop out the granules and put it on her food instead! I have a beagle mix who is allergic to almost everything! He's allergic to trees, pollen, grass, cats, dust, seriously the list goes on. During the spring and summer his allergies get so bad on his feet. They itch him so bad that he chews on them and it leaves them raw and then that leads to a yeast infection (which he is also allergic to). We have had him on prescription allergy medicine and even have gotten him steroids and allergy shots. Based on the reviews, I purchased this for my big pitty that has pretty rough environmental allergies. I'm not completely disappointed in them, they help a little with the inflammation on his feet but its still pretty bad. One customer said that it cleared her dogs feet up so I had the same hope. Got this to try as an alternative to another brand that my dog has been using for quite some time. I like it that this one has Turmeric Root, Grape Seed Extract, Pumpkin Powder, and Bromelain. However, the Quercetin dose is just one fifth, and Fish oil just one quarter of my dog's usual supplement. I guess this one would work for those just starting out on allergy and antioxidant supplements. My male cockapoo had started scratching and biting at his skin about a few months ago , it got so bad to the point where he wouldn’t stop until his skin was completely raw and bleeding and we had to keep a cone on him at all times. I bought these and after looking at the reviews, I was excited to see how it works but still not expecting much incase it didn’t work for us. About two weeks in, the itching, scratching and biting completely stopped. I took his cone off and usually within a few minutes a new raw spot would appear but this time that didn’t happen at all. He was completely back to his normal self. He didn’t like the taste at first and spit it out but now he loves them and eats them everyday after a meal. I didn’t purchase them for this reason, but I did notice that since taking these treats, they’ve improved his stool so much. They are now more firm and can hold a shape and it looks so much healthier overall so that’s a big bonus! He seems so much happier now that the itching is gone and I’m so thankful I found these!Chanelle R.

My dog has been chewing all his fur on his whole back half…everywhere he can reach. We, and the vet, tried everything, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, fish oil, and special shampoos; but nothing worked. We don’t use it a lot only, and less than recommended dose. It helps when the dog has her really itchy and runny eyes with seasonal allergies. She usually stops pawing her eyes and face.J

Pro Sense really helps my dog with scratching. It relieves the itchiness he feels. I like that it is easily available. He takes the pills easy with a little cheese.brigarn2010

My little chihuahua will not eat her Pet Fresh food with this ground up in the food. I cut the tiny pink pill in half and crushed it into her bowl. She will smell her food and walk away, so this has not worked for her itchy problem. The pills might work for other breeds, but not for me. You will just have to order it and see, but maybe order one bottle instead of the pack of three.karen

I bought this oil for a new addition, a senior dog who is blind, deaf & itchy, with some loss of coat. It helps with her itching, BUT the product turned to a very thick, gloppy mess that resisted being pumped in very short order after opening. That the product has to be shaken well before every use needs to be more prominent, & shaking it causes the oil to escape the pump & fly everywhere. Not happy I bought 3 bottles & won't buy again.Mary B.
