Got this to try as an alternative to another brand that my dog has been using for quite some time. I like it that this one has Turmeric Root, Grape Seed Extract, Pumpkin Powder, and Bromelain. However, the Quercetin dose is just one fifth, and Fish oil just one quarter of my dog's usual supplement. I guess this one would work for those just starting out on allergy and antioxidant supplements. Worked in veterinary for 23 years. Could go on with stories about this product forever. One example, elderly man called me crying saying his allergy doctor told him he had to get rid of his cats. His cats were middle aged and in that area likely not to be adopted. His cats were his family and all he really had in life after his wife died. I suggested he try Allerpet first before going to that extreme. I told him he should have the cats bathed with an unscented, soap-free shampoo and then combed out thoroughly by someone else. When that was done, I told him to bring them in and I would show him how to apply Allerpet-C against the lay of the coat, all over the body, with a washcloth. This he could do himself once a week thereafter. He followed my instructions exactly and was able to enjoy and love his cats for many more years. I have seen this story play out hundreds of times. I have never understood why allergists don't recommend it to all their patients to at least try. I have a beagle mix who is allergic to almost everything! He's allergic to trees, pollen, grass, cats, dust, seriously the list goes on. During the spring and summer his allergies get so bad on his feet. They itch him so bad that he chews on them and it leaves them raw and then that leads to a yeast infection (which he is also allergic to). We have had him on prescription allergy medicine and even have gotten him steroids and allergy shots. This summer has been so crazy with traveling that we have only had a chance to get one allergy shot so when i saw these, which are SO less expensive than his visits to the vet I had to try. I have been giving him 1.5 pills twice a day, as the bottle recommends, for about a week and I am honestly surprised that these actually seem to be helping. He has barely touched his paws, which mean they aren't bothering him being itchy. When he chews on his feet it leaves them super pink/red and in the past week they have been getting back to their usual white coloring. I figured trying these out would maybe help him a little but since his allergies are so severe I probably wouldn't see any results so I am so impressed that I have seen results in such a short time. I purchased some peanut butter aller-immune bites to try to help our French Bulldog from licking/biting her paws. She was not a fan of the peanut butter ones at all. I tried smearing peanut butter on it and everything, but she would not eat them. So, I emailed Zesty Paws and they emailed me back very quickly. They offered a refund or a different flavor. I was hesitant to try these for my dog Coco but she suffered from itchy skin and intermittent rashes due to seasonal changes. We normally have to do cytopoint injections at the vet but decided to give these a try. In short, they work great! You just need to be patient and give them the appropriate amount per day. It took a month to notice a difference in Cocos skin. It is possible that it won’t work for every dog but i would advise trying it a month or even two before passing judgement. The only thing is my dog does not “enjoy” eating them. I am not sure if there is a way to make them smell and taste better (I assume they don’t taste good because Coco will not eat one unless I appease her with a tasty treat afterward). So the “treat factor” should be improved if that’s a possibility. I have a dog that is allergic to everything. Snow is too wet, summer is too hot, and spring is too flowery. You get the idea. Since switching him onto aller-immune chews we no longer have to get SUPER expensive shots at the vet every month. I've had my 8-year old German Shepherd rescue for almost a year now, and he has definitely shown signs of being a senior dog. My standard poodle suffers from outdoor allergies. After battling them all summer the vet just said to double up on benadryl. I felt like I was drugging my dog. I saw an ad for these chews and thought it would be a better option to at least give it a try. My boy wasn't sure about the taste the first day and I had to wrap it in cheese. The second day, and every day since, he's gobbled it right down just like a treat! To test the results I totally stopped the benadryl and only gave him these chews. He only showed minor symptoms a couple of different occassions in which I went ahead and gave him a single dose of bendryl as needed. But the majority of days were symptom free (his biggest symptom is chewing his paws) and no benadryl needed. What's even better? Wow is right, because I am floored at how well this works! I have 2 pups with horrible allergies – one that nothing else works for. I've tried all different meds, including shots, and she still suffered horribly during allergy season. I reluctantly decided to try this, but we were in the middle of allergy season, and watching her suffer is just too much. Fast forward to July 2019, and my order came in the mail. I gave two of the chewables to my pup the next morning, not expecting much, but just hoping that there would at least be a little relief. Much to my surprise, she didn't scratch AT ALL that day!! I was still skeptical, but same results the next day, the day after that, etc. It has now been over a month, and she STILL doesn't even have any break through scratching, NO MORE scabs, NO MORE pulling out her hair in spots! It's great that it comes in Salmon flavor since one of my Shih Tzus has a chicken allergy. This really makes a difference for their ears, eyes, and skin. My male cockapoo had started scratching and biting at his skin about a few months ago , it got so bad to the point where he wouldn’t stop until his skin was completely raw and bleeding and we had to keep a cone on him at all times. We tried using anti itch shampoo, hot spot treatments and none of those had worked so we decided to give this one last thing a chance before taking him to the vet as those treatments can be very expensive and we wanted to see if it was something that we could have treated ourselves first. I bought these and after looking at the reviews, I was excited to see how it works but still not expecting much incase it didn’t work for us. My little chihuahua will not eat her Pet Fresh food with this ground up in the food. I cut the tiny pink pill in half and crushed it into her bowl. She will smell her food and walk away, so this has not worked for her itchy problem. The pills might work for other breeds, but not for me. I used it on my German Shepard who is itchy from allergies. It soothed her and cut out the scratching. I would definitely recommend. I did a little research on the product before I used it to see if anyone had any major issues when they tried it. I use it a couple times a week or more depending on how flaired up she gets. I do like that it's an all natural product. I also use the Burts Bees shampoo and conditioner as well. Remember if the dog has opened sores do not use the product you would need to see a vet or get the sores to clear up first before applying.michelle.j

Apoquel has done wonders for my German Shepherd who recently developed seasonal allergies at six years old. I am a vet assistant, and I see all kinds of animals coming in with different skin conditions or allergies and always felt so bad for them and their owners….. then I got a dog with allergies and then I found out what it's really like…. it is devastating watching your dog itch and scratch to the point of pulling their hair out, then when the hair is gone… then there goes their skin…. they will make themselves bleed and still won't stop. I tried benadryl I tried EVERYTHING, had to even do skin antibiotics and steroid Injections and still he was itching…. so… the dr tried him on this….. now… first thing I will say is this medication isn't cheap especially for bigger dogs (if you have a 10lbs dog it's not going to be too bad) but my poor dog had to start off taking 2 16mg 2 times a day and it was roughly 300 for the first month, however from there you taper down and after a few months I got him down to half a tablet once daily…. anyway…. this medication worked like a dream for him. He hasn't had any issues for over a year now and although sometimes he scratches its more of a normal itch. This medication literally saved him and my sanity. I received Strella Lab’s Allergy Relief Immune Chews with omega-3, pumpkin, and enzymes. They are skin and coat supplements for itchy skin relief. My dog suddenly got a horrible skin rash and I decided to try these natural chews. First of all, she didn’t like the taste, but she is VERY finicky. Secondly, when I did get her to take them, she wouldn’t take as many as she was supposed to, so they didn’t seem to help her much. I think it’d be worth a shot to try them out on a dog who is usually less of a pain taking treats, and with a less severe case of you are interested in using trying natural cures.Soloindyray

I've used these before in a cup style packaging. These larger quantity cone in a bag. The products work great and help my lab stop scratching. But the 4 bags I ordered were smashed into a small shipping bag with very little protection. When the product arrived I noticed the was A LOT of broken pieces and the bottom of the bag is full of granules from other broken bits too. Very disappointed my so looks forward to the treat each night so this stinks I need a spoon to scoop out the granules and put it on her food instead! I bought a jar of this last year because my dog was constantly scratching. Seems she has allergies in the spring/summer. The medication the Vet gave her I learned can cause kidney problems. My little dog at time was 14 yrs. old so I was uncomfortable using this med. Saw this Allergy Immune product and decided to give it a try. I have a 10 year old black lab with skin/allergy issues. I purchased some peanut butter aller-immune bites to try to help our French Bulldog from licking/biting her paws. She was not a fan of the peanut butter ones at all. I tried smearing peanut butter on it and everything, but she would not eat them. So, I emailed Zesty Paws and they emailed me back very quickly. They offered a refund or a different flavor. I opted for the lamb flavor because I really wanted to try to get her to stop excessively licking her paws. She LOVES the lamb flavor ones!! She takes them like any other treat! My 4 year old golden retriever has been suffering since she was a tiny puppy. She came inside one day after playing in the back yard and her left eye was huge. I was terrified thinking she hurt herself and cut her eye. I quickly brought her to her vet to have her eye checked out. Fortunately I found out that she was suffering from allergies. My husband heard of the Zesty Paws product and we gave it a try due to the fact that our puppy needed something reliant for her allergic reactions. My dog recently has started chewing on his paws. I took him to the vet and he completed two rounds of apoquel. This is a costly medication and it is not something that I felt like I wanted him to be on forever. After researching this product I gave it a try. It has been a game changer. I'm so happy that I found a product that is half the price , offers coupons often and is not a pharmaceutical medication. Very satisfied !
