Nutter loves it! She picks it first out of all her toys. Of course she takes the squeaker out, then removes the ears, etc. It takes her about 2 to 3 weeks to destroy it completely so it's a great toy for the money!Patricia

When I got my little mixed Terrier at the shelter, they sent her home with this toy. It has been her favorite by far ever since. I replace it when it gets too dirty. She rips other stuffed toys to shreds but mainly just carries this one around and thrashes about. Can't recommend strongly enough how much she loves it!SCRR

My dog is a shredder. He can have the stuffing out of any toy in under 5 minutes. Fun for him, not so fun for me when the house is covered in puffs of cotton. I made a no soft toy rule, but then my mom found the fox at a store and bought it for him. He loves it! It doesn't so much resemble a fox any more, and the squeakers have stopped working (which is fine by me- why does every toy need an obnoxious squeaker???), but he still loves playing with it over a month later. Seriously, that's a record. I'll definitely be buying more of these and I think eventually he'll have the whole set!Amanda

I have a 15lb Chihuahua-cross who I got the fox for about a year ago. Out of all of his stuffies, who I've had to sew back up after he managed to make a mess of those, this is his absolute favorite. Even after a year, it's still in great condition and both squeakers still work. Amazing! I also love the fact that I can throw it in the washer and dryer (I use delicate setting) and it comes out looking like new. I wanted to really love this toy. It's actually the second time I bought it…but only out of desperation because it lasted longer than all the other toys my dog has destroyed. I don't have a big dog but he's a determined chewer and can destroy ANYTHING but a Kong. He's a 1 yr old lab/maybe husky/maybe retriever/viszla mix (we think). He LOVED LOVED LOVED this toy but chewed the rope off straight out of the gate. He used that weakness to find a spot to tear in the fabric and reveal the rubber and it was over from there. To be fair if you're using this the right way (for fetch instead of it ending up as a chew toy) it will likely last much, much longer. It's nice and light and throws well and was well-liked by my pup.G.i.t.P.

A friend of ours got out dog just the bumper part of this combo and it has been huge it. It received serious work every day at the beach, and as you can see from my photos even had some group play with several other big dogs. Seemed reasonably durable. It was the favored water toy this trip and we will be getting another if and when this on expires.TN Doodle Dad

I have a German shepherd who loves the pool. We live in a desert, so it's a great way to keep him active in the summer. Previously, I would use the orange Chuckit! balls for pool play because they are very durable and they're his absolute favorite, but he would have to bob a lot to grasp them which left him snorting up a lot of chlorine water. I found this product and felt it would be much easier for him to snag from the water. After two hours of play it held up pretty well. But I am worried it won't last long. He loved it, and had a blast fetching it over and over but he clamps down pretty hard when grabbing it. With his large teeth and strong bite, it made a lot of popping sounds as he would swim it back to the steps and readjust his hold on it. He punctured it quite a bit, but it hasn't fallen apart yet. Some of the stitching is coming undone on the blue ends and they are very weak. It may last longer if you can sew. When he gets it out of the water he does squeeze it as if trying to squeak it, but he's good at stopping when I tell him to. It probably wouldn't last an hour if I let him chew it and he's not even one to destroy toys. There's only been a few toys that have broken from him playing and it's almost always because his teeth puncture it and the stuffing starts falling out. Once this happens our golden retriever will take it and rip it to pieces. This one he is not allowed to have without supervision and only in the pool because it definitely won't last. Our golden actually hates the water, so we don't have to worry about her tearing it up. If you have a dog with a strong bite, or one that loves to chew, I'm not confident this will hold up very well. But I still really like it and it makes a great water toy. It's bright, and floats well. It was easy for my shepherd to grab onto without losing it. He loved it and wasn't very happy I took it from him when we headed back inside. If this one falls apart too soon, I may have to find a more durable pool toy. My camera was dead, but I managed to get some pictures from my phone. I included some photos after coming back inside showing the punctures and the broken stitching on one end after 2 hours of play and limited chewing. The damage was mostly from him just grabbing it from the water as I did not let him chew it outside the water for very long. Update 5/22 – added some photos after about 6 more hours of use. It fell apart around the tag and the inside ended up slipping right out. My shepherd ended up still fetching just the inside. I'm sad that it fell apart so quickly and will have to find something that won't unravel with such a short time of play.F.N.

Thank you for making such an awesome toy that my eight month old pit mix weighing in at 65 lbs (last month!). She's only had it an hour, the squeeker quit working but who cares. I have spent a lot of money on keeping her mouth busy and the Flathead is by far the best dog toy. It has helped her release pent up energy like nothing I've purchased thus far. Please make more like this. Every other toy with material similar to this would have been damaged good by now. The crinkle sound is the kicker. I can tell this toy will last days or longer. To start theres no stuffing. Win! Then the tightly braided body is the perfect substitute for those nasty bones that leave pieces on the couch and arent good for the doggie anyways. It takes 2 months for my rat terrier to get thru the braid then I buy her a new one!Jennifer

Our Husky is a major fan of toys. Unfortunately, she's drawn to squeaker toys but destroys them almost immediately. I've been very impressed with this Hartz Squekerz, as it's been 5 days since we received it, and it has 3 of the 4 squeakers still intact – a record for our Husky!! She enjoys retreiving it from the toybox when I clean up the floor – of course, a game for her. Kudos to Hartz for developing a toy that Natasha can finally play with for more than a hot second!myfurrkids

When this toy arrived my littlest dog stole it. We have 2 dogs and watching one for my daughter and all grab it now. Anything with a squeaker is usually Peanuts {ShihTzu} but this toy has 4 squeakers. Usually my dogs will Remove the Squeakers real fast but this toy still survives.. I have a medium sized dog that can destroy a stuffie as well as any big time chewer! This toy lasted longer than most. She went for the squeakers first and was able to remove them one at a time, which was expected. But after the squeakers were gone, the toy and its stuffing lasted quite some time.missa4845

My 5 month old golden doodle adores this toy. The great thing is that it's difficult for him to completely crush it for a long time, so it's fun to play tug-and-fetch with it because as a kind of rigid balloon, it's decently easy to pull away (and then throw). I have to admit that it has become a bit flat from being chewed so much in his huge jaws, but he still loves it, and we still play tug and fetch with it. I have to squeeze it a bit to reinflate it so that it squeaks again, but really he doesn't care that much about whether it squeaks. Quite nice for the money.Jen

My puppy really likes this toy, but with in 30 mins she has a hole chewed into it. I really hoped it would last longer, but maybe the squeaker toys in it will last longer. It was a fairly decent price about $7 (including tax). Update: as my pup ripped into this toy more I noticed that there is a plastic wrap between the layers of fabric that the dogs can tear and choke on. Very dangerous. This toy all but came apart like sugar paper when my dog encountered it. I bought it fully expecting that Mischief would turn it into confetti, and given that that was my expectation, it didn't disappoint. It was $5 for what I knew would be brief entertainment for my destructopup. It's a fun pasttime of mine to find 'sturdy/tough/indestructible' toys and see how long it takes my boy to kill them. The review is to warn off anyone who takes the advertising of this toy seriously and genuinely thinks it will hold up to being chomped on. It won't. While it might still squeak if you stab a pin in it, it's not gonna hold up to being bitten. In under 30 seconds after receiving the toy, both squeakers were rendered functionless and misshapen. Shortly thereafter, the plastic of the barrels that make up the squeakers began to be pulled apart and shredded. If you want a rugged squeaker, get the ones made by Bark! in the superchewer variety. Those are the only squeaky toys that ever have a hope of a prayer versus my dog. However, if you want 30 seconds of amusement for your dog, fully understanding that this toy will quickly get rototilled unless your dog is very gentle with toys, then by all means get this one. The corpse of the toy will remain in Mischief's toy bin because even though it is sad, he will still enjoy playing with it for awhile.Emma
