I bought this toy for our dogs that like small toys. We have a yorkie mix and maltipoo, both less than 10lbs and not an aggressive chewer. This toy is very small and I knew it when I ordered 2pcs. I was pretty excited to give it to them but when it came… it looks nothing like the pictures on the website. Petco customer service kindly refunded me for this purchase but buyers please beware of what you will get when you buy this toy online. I will donate these to the shelter instead.julyskylie

I have a small Pomeranian who loves toys but we have a tough time finding ones small enough for her to comfortably carry around. This toy is perfect. It is small, the squeaker inside is removeable and it comes with a spare squeaker, just in case. The toy itself looks different from this picture, but my pup loves it so who cares! Purchased this bear for $12.49. It said the size was XS but there were NO exact measurements so when I received it I was beyond surprised when I saw its about the size of my palm! It would actually be a safety issue to give to a dog as it could be swallowed by even a puppy. Just like you wouldn't give a baby a marble, this toy is inappropriate to give to a puppy or dog as it could be swallowed. Horrible product! Very disappointed!Joy

Milo the 3 legged poodle usually destroys toys very quickly (or I spend a gazillion on imported dinosaurs from USA). He has had a medium teddy for almost a year. It took him 6 months to remove one arm and shred the rope inside and since then he has been working on the squeaker. If he accidentally makes it squeak he leaves Teddy alone for a couple of days so it's been a labour of love. Finally he got the squeaker out on Friday night (yes there was fluff). Since then he has ignored the teddy and walks around the house with the squeaker silently held in his mouth. He positions it somewhere, stares at it for a while and then moves it somewhere better. I have given two of these to new puppy owners and it's very popular. Good value!Milo

I have 3 pups who all like to play with toys at different times, some play rougher than others, but usually over a short time someone has decided to chew an edge off where stuffing begins to fall out, etc. I have tried many brands but they seem to love this style and brand. I don't worry about a little chewing and nuzzling because the fabric has shown to be tough and with the rope knots inside instead of a lot of stuffing, the toys hold up much better. The price is reasonable and I won't feel disappointed if and when the toys have met their match and need replacement. Bottom line: I want to provide toys that my pups love and that last over many times of play instead of something that looks nice but won't last even through one play episode. It’s super tiny by my 3 month old, 3 pound bichpoo puppy LOVES it! The one issue I have with it is that my puppy was able to get one of the patches off within a few uses. Thankfully by boyfriend saw it happen and was able to keep her from swallowing it. Definitely a toy for supervised playtime.Alex

My pup loves his bear! Unfortunately he ripped the squeaker out and all the stuffing. I wish I would have seen they put Velcro that would allow the squeaker to be removed. This is the first Kong toy we’ve gotten (and we have a lot of them) that has this option. I will be buying another one and taking the squeaker out. Super cute and great size!1234

Giving it 5 stars because the toy is as described and pictured. However, my dog does not want to touch it. It's probably because the toy looks realistic or like another stuffed animal for kids. She's such a good girl, she has never touched our child's toys because she knows they are not hers, so she's probably having a hard time reconciling that this one is intended for her. The toy is soft, a good size and the squeaker is removable. For obvious reasons, I can't speak to the toy's durability.PK

I bought the extra small duck as our Lhasa Apso is small. He has played with it quite a bit as that's what it's for. Now no more squeaker, I have a spare how ever not sure how long that will last, He has loads of toys that was a favourite. A better made toy even if more expensive would have been better. For a dog who's favourite toy is a soft toy I guessed this would be perfect for Zena. Being a blind person I rely on product descriptions and detailed reviews to make my decision on whether it'd be a good purchase. I went on a whim and bought the teddy bear. It came well packaged and with the extra squeaker as promised. After I'd cut off the labels and inserted the squeaker making sure the Velcro was stuck firmly together I gave it to Zena to play with. She immediately fell in love and it is one of the favourite toys chosen each play time. Despite its flimsy feel it seems quite durable and hasn't torn yet. Excellent toy for the right dog, unfortunately not mine. He's not usually distructive to his toys but this material frayed and came apart within minutes unlike his £3 turkey toy from Morrisons which is withstanding his chewing. I bought 2 of these snakes and have given the other one away. I've not heard how there dog who doesn't chew toys is getting on. I couldn't recommend this toy due to the nature of the material. I ordered these for my rescue pup for when we leave the house. They're great! She is very attached to me so giving her one of these kongs with peanut butter in her kennel right before we leave works perfectly! They material is very durable! Kong dog toys make great dog chews with added fun! Some dogs love to chew and will chew things just for something to do and having a kong toy on hand to occupy them is a good idea. You can add peanut butter inside the Kong and it will keep them busy trying to get the treat out of it. It provides hours of fun and the dogs don't ever get sick of playing with it and chewing on it. They are made of super durable rubber. They are pretty close to indestructible. They withstand hours and hours of rough play without falling apart and puppies sharp teeth are no match for Kong. I used to buy nylabones but my dogs seem to use the Kong a lot more. I know with my dogs they love anything new they get for a little while and then they kind of get sick of it and stop playing with it. The Kong has really kept My dogs intrest and I think it's because of the added treat inside. My border collie thinks that she was put on this earth to destroy any and everything in get path. She has destroyed many a door and window from her incessant chewing and most toys hold no interest with her but even she loves Kong toys. I don't know about the breath freshening but I can say that the kongs must clean there teeth because of the rubber dragging across the teeth so much as they chew and lick. Its a long lasting toy that will definitely provide lots of fun. They are available at most pet care supply stores. They are a bit expensive, but it's worth it for how long lasting they are. They are a much safer alternative to rawhides or bones. No worry about them choking or swallowing none splinters. Check the Kong for damages before use and it's pretty safe. I think most dogs will love it and it should clean the teeth if they chew on it. I would recommend it to dogs who are energetic or dogs who love to chew. It works great for my dog who looses interest very quickly in toys so if and when she wears hers out I will definitely go out and purchase another for her.lindsey4488

The elephant is very cute. I got a rescue dog and she came with an elephant sort of like this. I wanted to replace it as she's chewed the ears and a foot off already! The first one I ordered was smaller than the one she has and the second one is much bigger. This is my third one! I measured the middle size one that I wanted and it matched the measurements of this one but once again, I got an extra large elephant. It's cute, it's ears are adorable. It's just not the size I really wanted. I'm not going to return it because postage would be almost as much as it costs. It's a great stuffed animal and I would recommend it for a child. I bought this a day ago. Loaded it with treats and watched my little pup walk it through the living room. Watched little trails of red plastic litter the floor within the first five minutes. My little pup is not a chewer. I have never seen a Kong toy disintegrate ever, never mind crumble like this. You can watch like a hawk… this gyro dog toy will not last 15 minutes.jackinbox

My dogs LOVE this more than any kong toy. They just need to update it to be a sturdy material like the other kong items. It lasted 2-3 months but eventually the dogs tore it to shreds. Literally shreds. I would still re buy it though due to how many hours use we got out of it. But I would rather spend a little more for a better version of this that is just not as prone to being torn up (as other reviewers mentioned and posted pics of, this is eventually what happened to ours, too). I filled with some dog food mixed with some soft training sized treats to really get their attention. Wouldn’t put peanut butter or anything like that in this. Would use it more as a feeder toy with dry or soft treats or food. Not wet though as the hole would be too small for the dogs to be able to get anything like that out. The weighted feeder ball is a great, indestructible similar option to this if you’re needing something to keep them busy for a longer period, it doesn’t break or get torn up, and can be used to feed a full meal as capacity is much bigger. With almost every king toy I always buy up 2 sizes. There’s a lot of reasons but especially due to the smaller ones being easily torn apart. My dogs just prefer the bigger ones anyway. PLEASE NOTE: it’s important to always remove any toys, feeders, bones, or bowls of food if the pup isn’t currently eating, or playing with the item. They’ll learn bad behavior like grazing, guarding, etc. and it can make it very hard for owners to notice when pets are unwell. (Google for more info). Water is the only thing they should have 24/7 access to without restriction. Hope this helps!Momzymo

This arrived on Friday and by Friday night after my 7 month old Jack Russell Puppy had used it one with kibble in it, it was unsafe. She started to chew little pieces off it and we have had to take it off her. I thought that being a Kong product it would be durable but it wasn't. She did not have it as a toy. it was just used for her kibble to keep her busy while we were eating.JUDY

So my French Bulldog really loves his large Kong pacifier treat dispenser. And you don't even have to put treats in it for him to carry it around. It's very durable considering that usually he is able to tear up any kind of toys with in about a minute or less. Got got it from PetSmart for about seven or eight $10 somewhere in between that. Usually he'll carry all his toys outside or try to but this one he purposefully leaves in side so that way he doesn't lose it. And he looks so adorable whenever he actually has it in the correct way. I bought this for my dog for Christmas and it's the best toy he's ever had. He goes through toys like crazy, they always break and rip and are a danger to him because of small pieces. This toy is super strong and safe for him. I have a pure breed German Shepard fully grown. I take it with us everywhere we go. He never leaves without it. To say my dog is an "extreme chewer" is a understatement. Fortunately for us he has been focused on his toys/chew toys. He has SUPER STRONG jaws for a lab. I can literally spin him in circles in the air with his jaws locked on a toy. I havent been able to find a toy he doesnt destroy in 5min-1day. He goes through a 8 point buck antler in a month. The toy is durable to handle our Bichon Frise puppy’s constant chewing and is the right size for him to carry it around with him. I use this to serve my puppy his Kong Ziggy treats. It helps him grip the treat with his paws. I have not tried stuffing it with gooey things that the manufacturer suggests because I don't want that mess being dragged around the house. However it works fine with the Ziggy treats. By far this has become my pups 2nd favorite toy (her first, as she seems to be taking after her sister who passed away before Paisley even came home, is her Lamb Chop). Within seconds of me opening this from the packaging, she was playing with it WITHOUT anything in it … it is a perfect softness (yet strong enough) to soothe her teething. Then I rubbed some all natural peanut butter in it and LOOK OUT … the minute I grab the toy, she's whimpering with excitement and then spends a good hour concentrating on getting the peanut butter out, loving every minute of it. This would really be beneficial for dogs with separation anxiety or rowdy puppies that you need to calm down if you're in the middle of something. And even greater for teething pups who will latch onto anything (even what they're not supposed to) because it keeps their focus for a long, long time! You needed a bigger size. Generally, I would recommend sizing up once or twice anyway. The smaller ones are too small and not as thick of material therefore easier for any size dog to tear up. Additionally, if the toy isn’t full of snacks, take it away. Don’t let them chew on the toy itself just as a chew toy. That is another reason why the toy may get damaged. If the dog is focused on getting the snack out, they’ll be much less focused on destructive behaviors and tearing things apart. If you have a puppy, remember they teethe and it HURTS. They self sooth by chewing. Give them things it’s okay to chew on/destroy like Nyla bones (which seriously last forever even in strong determined breeds). Last thing to mention, is that if you really want to go with indestructible, prefer something that’ll keep them busy for a lot longer periods of time, then get the weighted feeder kong balls. I put some dog food into ours along with some soft small very strong smelling treats and my dogs work on this for HOURS. It’s how they get their meals or at least part of their meal each day. You can fed the whole meal this way if you want. They come in different sizes but the biggest size has worked perfectly for all of my dogs (weights range from 35 to 150lbs). They knock it over and the snack or treat falls out of a little hole. Then they keep working on it little by little, it’s really a great option for keeping them distracted! Just be sure to take it away when they’re not using it anymore so they don’t learn to guard it. This is true with any toy, treat, bone, or food. Offer a few times a day then take away when they’re no longer interested. Free feeding is one of the worst habits to start and makes it difficult for owners to tell quickly when something is off with their pet. I learned this the hard way! (Google this if you don’t believe me) I would still consider these Kong balls to be indestructible IF you use them properly. I have huge, strong dogs, a sharp toothed and very busy heeler and both have had theirs for 4 years without incident and not even a puncture mark into either one. I filled with “mini” milk bones and broken in half “small” milk bones but just read another reviewer said they freeze theirs with pnut butter and treats inside. Sounds messy but sounds like a great idea! Cant wait to try! Hope this helps!Momzymo

Amazing! Amazing at entertainment for my dog. Love how we can stick big treats in there and keep him busy whenever we have to leave the house. I think it's a must for training your dog. Be sure to replace it whenever there is damage. As I know a friend's dog had a piece of Kong stuck in his intestine and had to get surgery to remove it. So best to keep the toy until you notice any wear or tear. I like how it has multiple sizes and has really good durability.. this is a really good investment for your dog! We have found many creative ways to entertain our husky/German shep/malamute mutt who has high energy and high affinity to treats. 10/10 would recommend. There's also some Kong specific treats you can find meant to fit into the toy to make it very difficult for the dog to remove it. We like that there is a lot of creative ways to use it. We had two on rotation for when our puppy was teething and needed a lot of attention. Frozen treats allowed for the pup to work on the kong. We use it at home mainly but we do bring it over to our friends house when our dog is staying the night because we are out of town. It's just another tool they can use if they find he needs to calm down and focus instead of rambunctious and playing.terri.n

This is the old classic rubber Kong dog toy. I have the regular size and the small size for my boxer and for my Boston terrier. Its shape causes it to bounce in random directions. My dog absolutely loves this toy. I've put everything in that thing. I have broken up some single ingredient treats and stuffed them in Kong. We refer to my dogs as having ADHD, or a very SHORT attention span, but not with this toy they absolutely love it!! . I put treats as well as peanut butter bananas or yogurt then put them in the freezer. The freezing slows down their ability to clean out the inside quickly so the game lasts a little longer. The rubber is hard enough so they cannot chew through it yet soft on their teeth and gums. The hole is large enough to easily fill the inside as well as wash out the inside after use. Definitely buy multiples so that there are some in the freezer ready to go on those hot days or on those days that you just need a little time to get something done while your dog is occupied. All in all I completely recommend these toys for all dogs of any shape and size.Ysabel

When our golden retriever was a puppy, we bought him so many of the Kong brand toys. This particular one is completely round with a hole in the middle. We would often fill it with dog safe peanut butter and then freeze it. We also would fill it with treats and let him have a blast trying to get them out. Kong has been my go to brand primarily because I went through many 'toys' before I found the ONE that lasts even with big chewing. As a puppy both my papillon and english bulldogs could destroy a toy in a record window of time. This brand may cost a bit more but the quality and durability has made me a believer.
