The 3 dog boxes are great! Well made and so easy to transport the dogs in the crates now. You do need to cover the bottom of the boxes, either with mats or garage flooring.Connie R.

Please be aware that this product will take weeks to get. Bass Pro advised an arrival date, and that date came and went. I contact them, and they advised if you scroll down it states that it is a drop ship item. So it was in the fine print, but should be shown during checkout/shipping. Bass pro advised that I would just have to wait, and nothing I could do to track it. The customer service lady was very nice, and stated this problem happens and nothing is done about it. I then contacted Owens direct, and they were able to locate it via the Bass Pro order number. Just a headache I wish I was aware of, and hope you are now too.BeAware

We love this box!! Our red bone blue tic whom weight 95 lbs fits perfect in it and out two gsp fit together in the other side!! Instructions were good but brief, missing some smaller details on placement of blocks, also short you about 6 pieces of wood that need to be cut making the process a little confusing. Also had to bend the tabs for the front door to fit on the wood frame since they were bent inward. The Owens 55017 dog box is great for suv vehicles. I have a 01 Toyota 4Runner and this box fits perfectly in the back between the finder wells. This is a great dog box. The big windows/vents are great for warmer weather and living in Central TX this box is perfect to help keep my dog cooler in warm weather. It's very well built and I would recommend it to anyone.Wes M.

This crate is very light weight and great for travel. It pops up quickly and though a little tricky to compress again, is easy to put away. Larger dogs may be able to roll this crate around. I like that it has a metal door since my pup chewed through the zipper on my last crate during a competition.Sammi

It is utilized in our camper for our 90 pound chocolate lab. She fits well enough to lay down and it was not wrecked the first few uses, but she is crate trained. I do however believe the bottom material could've used some more reinforcement as a dog that size wont take much to make an accidental rip. Folds down very compact and is not complicated to get it that way! Overall, very pleased.Brittany

This crate tucks in nicely by the bed. I had to twist the crate to get it to fit, but since it is soft sided, it was easy to do. I have 2 long haired miniature dachshunds, and they both have plenty of room and are really happy to have their blankets and sleeping space. The crate is well made and is perfect for my needs. I looked at a number of options and could not find another crate as narrow as this one. The metal door is easy to close and I was able to flip it so the door opened the direction I needed. The only negative is with the limited space, the opening radius of the door is fairly limited. Both my dogs can easily fit, but depending on the space in your unit, a larger dog might have troubles fitting through the door. (Again, this limitation is based on the narrow width I have available in my unit.) So happy with the purchase-perfect for the trailer. The dogs give it 4 paws up.Dog L.

I moved all the way from Northern California to DC in the car with my two cats (one 9 lb. domestic shorthair and one 18 lb. ragdoll), and this crate was perfect! They had enough room to move around while also being comfortable, it helped a lot with my anxiety that I could buckle the crate to the seats, and it was super easy to set up. I would recommend putting puppy pads under it so that your back seats don't get gross, and you need some other plan to get kitties in and out of the car because it's not a solid base (you certainly can't carry a kitty in the crate outside the car), but it worked great and was the perfect solution.ZorraTheo

I bought two of these kennel/soft crates, one for each of my cats, in the event I ever need to evacuate my home (for my bug-out kit). They are roomy enough to hold a small litter box, food and water dishes, plus let the cat stretch its legs. I can also put both my cats together in one for traveling in the backseat of my car. The kennels fold up to the size of a large briefcase. It is a little tricky to fold them up but not a dealbreaker. These kennels are not ideal for long term situations, but they gave me great peace of mind knowing I have a safe way of transporting and housing my cats in the event of an emergency.Karen BH

We have a chubby chihuahua that is petrified of the wind and storms we have here during the monsoon season… I'ved tried a calming coat and letting her sleep with us but she shakes so badly, no one could get any sleep! I had a feeling this little pink crate might do the trick! At first, she was hesitant to even get in it, but I left her little bed in it and after only 2 days she was laying in there and feeling very secure! We had lots of wind and dust storms the last two nights and son of a gun, there was Baby, tucked in her crate, not bothered by the storm. My 3 year old grandson was over today playing with his toys in it and it's pretty sturdy too! Setting it up took only two minutes right out of the box with no loose parts to worry about. All one piece and it folds flat for transporting and/or storage. All in all, it worked wonders for a problem we've had for 2 years now! Can't believe I didn't think of it before!! Thx!DEEAZ

Wow, a crate that is pretty. I don't know if that matters to the pets, but I sure like looking at a blue crate. A baby blue to be exact. This crate is small. The one piece package is easy to open, setup and breakdown for storing and transporting. It weighs 11 lbs. It measures 24 1/2" long x 18" wide and just under 21" high. When closed up the 21" high becomes approximately 3 1/2 inches and latches closed. It doesn't have a carry handle which is disappointing. No divider is included, but really not necessary for a small one door crate. The tray is solid with no imprint as others that I have and that's a plus. The even surface is much easier to clean. The sliding latch is easy and stays in place. I noticed that the paint makes it a tiny bit "thicker" and requires just a little more effort to setup and breakdown than my others. A few spots of paint have chipped off due to this. And because it doesn't have any sharp edges even under these chips; it's nothing of concern, just an observation. Very smooth bars and connections. The crate has a single door which is fine for my pet room, but if you need to move it around or transport in small spaces, you might want one with a double door. I have set this up in my pet rescue room along with my larger crates. I really like this size and plan to put several more of these small crates in the pet room. I see there are pink ones also. And I want one for my own cats because it seems to be a fantastic method for timeouts! Half a star off for not having a carry handle. Purely my hang up, since it's lightweight I can just as easily pick it up by sticking fingers through bars on top, but not too easy when a pet is inside. That being said I still highly recommend this strong, smooth and well made adorable crate!Jford35

This was probably the easiest cage I've ever had to put together. It literally folds in on itself and I didn't even have to attach the door. Once I figured out which side had to go up first, it was a breeze. The pink color makes it really cute. Not just a wire dog cage. It is just a cage however. It doesn't have a carrying handle on top, and I'm not sure if it would hold together really well with a dog or two in it and carrying it around. But it is perfect for bed time or when you are training a new puppy or when you are gone. I have 2 yorkie girls and they both fit in it fine and had plenty of room. And the ease of folding it up flat to travel makes it perfect for a portable cage.krmills

I bought a larger cage purposely for him to grow into it. They have a divider which makes the crate smaller if needed. This is definitely worth the price! The ones at the pet store were soooo expensive compared to this one. I felt like the locks on this crate we more secure than the other ones I've seen and not only that it was extremely fast shipping I got mine about 3 days later. This crate is amazing . It is sturdy and durable , not to mention so easy to set up. I timed myself: 51 seconds to fold it up and latch it. I was a little hesitant to pull the trigger due to the price and questioned the size. It turned out to be a great purchase. Couldn't be happier with my Jeep Cargo Kennel. It fits "perfectly" in the trunk area of my Ford Fiesta. It sits low enough to not block my view out the rear mirror. I have my back seats down for other show gear and to be able to get cats out front door of kennel. I love so many doors. It's very easy to get cats out the top door also while standing at rear of vehicle. Very roomy for long drives. I also plan to use as the benching kennel at my next show as it's stylish and just the right size. I'mpressed with the quality of craftsmanship and durability. I love all the ventilation on this crate and the two door option. It has a handle on top and its not too heavy although a little unwieldy. However its pretty compact and my 5 month old toy Aussie Shepherd weighs 14 lbs sleeps in it overnight.Consumer

I recently purchased two of these crates for '13 Chevy Suburban. Got the largest crates available for Giant Schnauzer and a Rottweiler puppy. The Giant S can just barely turn around in it. Will see if the Rotty fits when full grown. The crates fit without having to take the third row seats out. There are about four inches to spare width wise with both crates in. Can load and unload from rear or side doors of suv ,if third row seats are removed. These crates are a bit heavy for me to carry in and out of shows and trials, but know they need to be heavier for sturdiness with large breeds. I'm going to try some sort of wheels for moving in and out of venues. Would like to have crate pads and/or cool mats that fit these crates.Kaija

The absolute perfect size to fit between the raised backseat and front seat of our truck. We looked all over for a crate big enough for our retriever yet narrow enough to fit in the backseat. I purchased two 42 inch dog crates to put in my Toyota Sienna Mini Van. They were a perfect fit. My dogs stand 24 inches at the withers and weigh 75lbs and 62lbs. Both have ample room to stretch out, stand up and turn around. The crates are heavy duty and I love the fact that they have 2 doors so I can load them from the inside as well. I have enough room on either side to store a soft crate or other dog related items. I am totally pleased with my purchase.AgilityMom

This was a fairy decent small pet kennel. I use it for transporting a car. Seems sturdy but I might not trust to lift small dogs that are on the heavy side. The door hinge occasionally comes out of its post when you open or close it but it's easy enough to put back in.prankmunky13

I have one of these in the beige color that works great but had to order a second one when I got a second cat amd the screws did not tighten correctly with assembly of the new carrier. The screws are loose and just spin in the hole. As an expirement I disassemled the one i already had that worked properly and tried to reassembke that one with the screws and plastic toppers provided on my new one and figured out it was the plastic toppers that were faulty. The plastic toppers in my newest one did not screw down all the way properly and did not fit the screw properly. Major quality control issues with this company it seems. Very disappointingNathanC

I needed a carrier and saw this online. There were 2 left. I went in to get one. None of the carriers of any size were boxed. I only saw one and looked it over with the size of carrier I wanted in mind. It seemed to be the right size, so I took it to the cashier. On the way home, I saw a black plastic patch on the hood hanging open. I tried to close it, heard a crack and discovered one of the tabs on the patch had completely broken off. On closer inspection at home, I discovered that there were supposed to be 2 plastic patches on the hood with 3 tabs each. Under these, the hood is indented as though these are places for storage or something. So, now I have a broken patch in one spot and no patch at all in the other spot on the hood. The kennel itself was easy to assemble, seems sturdy enough, and is the size I wanted, so I think I will keep the kennel, but I wish manufacturers wouldn't add bells and whistles to their products if the bells and whistles are only going to break and fall off. This item was not on sale or on clearance, so I am disappointed in the quality.Valuhunter

Purchased 2 of these kennels after using a pet mate sky kennel for years. Received one of two broken during shipping. The kennels are made of a cheap plastic that cracked assumingely upon an impact during shipping. Pet mate is replacing unit, however the quality is not that of the unit I’ve had for 10+ years. I guess in retrospect, I should have spent more to get the sky kennels in hopes price would dictate better quality.Cavalier owners

I needed a carrier for my grandsons' kitten. I also needed a place for her to sleep. I had looked (on-line) at several "pet," stores that had the same product. But they were 30 miles away, and you had to purchase in store! I purchased this one on-line with next day delivery. Even with tax, shipping, and handling it was CHEAPER than the same one, which was at a store 30 miles away. ONE WORD OF CAUTION. The back of the carrier snaps together. It has 2 tiny matching holes on the top and bottom. It would be great if they supplied a fastener. BUT IT CAN EASILY BE MADE STURDY AND SECURE FOR PET SAFETY – WITHOUT FEAR OF COMING APART. (Especially if the pet is rambunctious!) I used small zip ties – very inexpensive, that I already had. I trimmed the ends after putting them on the back sides. The door in the front is secured at top – 2 and bottom – 2. Plus you can open it from either right side or left. It has plenty of openings at the top of the carrier for air to circulate. I definitely would recommend this product. "Alice," the kitten loves it. I leave the door open, and she goes in there during the day and sleeps on her towel. It's light weight, attractive, easy to carry, easy to assemble, and definitely easy to clean. Even with the lack of the 2 back fasteners, I still give it 5 stars. Great sturdy carrier,bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside. Sturdily made plastic. I use it to carry for my 9 lbs cat and it can support his weight very well ,even though it could have had a luggage style handle for more comfort holding it than the recessed one it has but no biggie. Also even thought it is sturdy and pieces fit well together I would recommend you tie up some zipper cable ties on key areas where the two halves meet and close to where the gray little pieces go, to avoid the unions popping open and falling apart,just in case it stresses from the weight of the pet, that should give more reinforcement to the structure and peace of mind, not that it will happen but it could as other customers have stated. The carrier is not really that tall and long so my cat cannot stand full height or stretch full length, it is comfortable enough for him to be in on short trips or for a shorter cat (mine is very long and tall,almost 19 inches long head to base of tail).. The door is a little tricky to use since it doesn't have a hinge but you will get the hang of it, and if you just open it from one of the top knobs and leave the other closed it can even be used as a swinging door. It doesn't include any accessories but it is standard fit for most accessories.. Very goodvalue for the money.ladyleiaknight

I’m very happy I bought this plastic pet carrier. I didn’t buy it for traveling, it is for our new family member, a 3 month teacup chihuahua. She is very tiny, only 2.5 pounds and she didn’t want to sleep in her cage. We were afraid to bring her bring to sleep with us and I decided to buy this product.
