First of all it's sturdy and seems well made. It does slow down their eating however don't use this bowl if you want your dogs chin to have hair and pigmentation on their lower lip. Our dog started loosing hair and pigmentation to his lower chin/lip to the point it's now the size of 10cent coin. We recently changed our dogs to a raw diet and as expected they love it and gulp the food in one go. So I thought I would try these bowls. If you have a lurched size I would get them a medium as the large gaps are easy for them to get their snout in open mouth wide to take big gulps. And a small for collie type. Our Pit/Lab mix had to have knee surgery earlier this year. To keep her from messing with the incision site, the vet gave us a onesie for her to wear instead of the plastic cone (which both of us hate). This product worked perfectly for what we needed. We did discover that our dog is Houdini when she was able to escape from the onesie without unsnapping it or ripping it haha. We bought a second – and third – one to keep on hand for any other times we might need it. And we did recently need it when a cyst on her back ruptured the night before Thanksgiving. I bought this in a large in the blue color for my 65 pound Pit and it fit him perfectly! It was really easy to put on him and he seems very comfortable in it, I also love the zipper on the bottom because it makes it so much easier for him when he goes to the bathroom. I typically use when we go for hikes to prevent ticks since he has dark gray fur and they are difficult to see. I'm quite surprised with the reviews that say this product doesn't work. For my dog, it truly was a LIFE SAVER! I've been battling with my dogs hotspots (and dry, flaky skin) off and on ever since we moved back to the Midwest, at least a year of her issues. I've tried shampoos, conditioners, a handful of trips to the vet to trial different foods, and hundereds of dollars later I honestly just gave up. I started putting alternative topical agents on her that simply gave a temporary resolution. While traveling out of town, she (Mini Schnauzer) had a really bad case, to the point where she was starting to bleed. Tea oil, hot spot spray and the above HomeoPet drops were what I returned with, after another visit to the pet store. After the first day her redness had diminshed greatly and she wasn't itching nearly as much. By two, she wasn't itching AT ALL. I decided to remove the Tea oil and spray since I'd used them in the past without long-term results. It's been a week and my schnauzer has had 3-5 drops a day, oral dose of this product and she is doing exceptional! Seriously! No redness, no scratching. Today I hadn't given her any since yesterday afternoon and she started scratching again. I gave her 3 drops and about a couple hours later, again, her scratching is gone. This product worked exceptionally on my dog. On the other hand, I don't think her issues were due to food allergies, vs environmental surroundings, my guess. I have a cat that has a tendency to lick patches of fur off her front legs when the weather turns either warm or cold in the summer and winter. The vet told me it's likely due to seasonal allergies. My Lurcher Heidi had to have a mammary tumour removed. She was terrified wearing an Elizabethan collar. So I got her a Buster collar but being long nosed Sighthound and with a flexable neck she could reach her stitches. The "Suitical" vest I got her from D forDog was absoulutley amazing. Comfy, stretchy and easy to wash and dry. It covered the area allowing healing . For toileting I just un-did the press studs and took her back legs out of the garment and rolled the Suitical back to her shoulders. Then when she had been to the toileting area I simply rolled it back and put her back legs through and did the garment up. It was similiar to a childs body suit. I can't praise this garment enough. There was only ONE tab, not two. I had to tape my diaper in order for it to stay on my dog. These diapers are the WORST diapers I’ve ever seen. The instructions and all the pictures say there’s two tabs. I had to get long pieces of clear tape and tape the side that didn’t have the tab and the side with the existing tab to make sure it wouldn’t come off. I tried to put the first one back on my dog and there were holes in it when I took it off once because I had to tape it. I’ve never seen such poor quality things. I could’ve made a diaper and it would still be better than these diapers and I’m not the crafty type. If there was a zero star option I would put that. These are absolutely horrible.Human

This runs very small. I bought the signs that recommended for a 10-lb dog, and also the next bigger size just in case. The recommended size was entirely too small. The next size up fits my dog well, although it seems to have something pokey that bothers her tummy when she wears it. I'm going to have to look and see if there is a piece of stitching poking her. Other than that it is a very good quality, well made, and will definitely keep her from drowning if she falls off my kayak. Walmart had the best price anywhere! This life vest appears to be really well-made. The materials used and construction are excellent. There are numerous safety features, e.g., Velco closings PLUS clips PLUS stops on the clip straps to ensure they don't over-loosen. I've never seen such attention to detail in an animal product. The front neck & head support is so thoughtful and just too cute for words. Also, I love the top handle so much I'm tempted to have my puppy wear his every day. I really really wanted to like this harness. My lab/pit doesn’t so much “pull” as she is just a speed walker. I’ve tried just about everything to curb this insistent need to be ahead of me. I’ve tried various collars, harnesses, head leads, and even took her to training classes. That and because my dog had an odd barrel shaped chest trying to get a good measurement for her often doesn’t go too well, and as much as I wanted in like this harness all it ended up doing was leaving bad sores under her armpits, which isn’t so much the fault of the product as much as it’s the fault of my dog who insists on being ahead of me no matter how fast I walk (and I tend to walk at the pace of a light jog!) Alas I’ve just put her back in her old harness, but perhaps when she’s older and has hopefully calmed down, I can then put her in something like this. Our five-month-old golden retriever puppy was starting to get really strong, and her oppositional pulling (or dragging) when using just a collar or typical chest harness was making walks less than fun for everyone. The dog trainer recommended a shoulder harness like this, and when paired with a runner's leash (and positive reinforcement), it makes for a much more relaxed and enjoyable walk. It's super-easy to slip on and off–i.e., less time for our puppy to grab it in her mouth and wrestle with it–and the bright-orange color adds a pop of safety for trail hikes. The quality seems very high, too. Our puppy is five months and about 35 lbs.; we ordered a medium and it fits her (a little loosely) at its smallest. We have two of these, one small and one extra small because neither will fit a French Bulldog properly (Purchased the first one based on her measurements and the chart). We use the extra small since it is the best fit. We have noticed chafing under our dog's front legs where the halter rubs her, she now has no hair there on either side. The purpose of the front leash ring is to discourage pulling but what we have found is that the harness pulls to one side, twists around the dog, and pulls up under the leg opposite of the leash side. The harness loosens as the dog pulls, so you must keep adjusting it or it will be too loose. Our dog is white. On her back where the ring is she now has a black mark because the ring is constantly rubbing there.Debbie D.

We have a chubby chihuahua that is petrified of the wind and storms we have here during the monsoon season… I'ved tried a calming coat and letting her sleep with us but she shakes so badly, no one could get any sleep! I had a feeling this little pink crate might do the trick! At first, she was hesitant to even get in it, but I left her little bed in it and after only 2 days she was laying in there and feeling very secure! We had lots of wind and dust storms the last two nights and son of a gun, there was Baby, tucked in her crate, not bothered by the storm. My 3 year old grandson was over today playing with his toys in it and it's pretty sturdy too! Setting it up took only two minutes right out of the box with no loose parts to worry about. Wow, a crate that is pretty. I don't know if that matters to the pets, but I sure like looking at a blue crate. A baby blue to be exact. This crate is small. The one piece package is easy to open, setup and breakdown for storing and transporting. It weighs 11 lbs. It measures 24 1/2" long x 18" wide and just under 21" high. When closed up the 21" high becomes approximately 3 1/2 inches and latches closed. It doesn't have a carry handle which is disappointing. No divider is included, but really not necessary for a small one door crate. The tray is solid with no imprint as others that I have and that's a plus. The even surface is much easier to clean. The sliding latch is easy and stays in place. I noticed that the paint makes it a tiny bit "thicker" and requires just a little more effort to setup and breakdown than my others. A few spots of paint have chipped off due to this. And because it doesn't have any sharp edges even under these chips; it's nothing of concern, just an observation. Very smooth bars and connections. The crate has a single door which is fine for my pet room, but if you need to move it around or transport in small spaces, you might want one with a double door. I have set this up in my pet rescue room along with my larger crates. I really like this size and plan to put several more of these small crates in the pet room. I see there are pink ones also. And I want one for my own cats because it seems to be a fantastic method for timeouts! Half a star off for not having a carry handle. Purely my hang up, since it's lightweight I can just as easily pick it up by sticking fingers through bars on top, but not too easy when a pet is inside. This was probably the easiest cage I've ever had to put together. It literally folds in on itself and I didn't even have to attach the door. Once I figured out which side had to go up first, it was a breeze. The pink color makes it really cute. Not just a wire dog cage. It is just a cage however. It doesn't have a carrying handle on top, and I'm not sure if it would hold together really well with a dog or two in it and carrying it around. But it is perfect for bed time or when you are training a new puppy or when you are gone. I have 2 yorkie girls and they both fit in it fine and had plenty of room. And the ease of folding it up flat to travel makes it perfect for a portable cage.krmills

First the Pros: this harness is durable and I have no doubt it is strong and durable enough to hold my 70lb pittie when needed. It also does a great job of keeping her from pulling when using the chest loop. We love the Ruffwear brand and I (and my dogs) love the sweaters/clothing as they are always cold in temps below 70°. Cons: I watched the video on fitting the harness and every single walk results in raw skin/bleeding/scabs under her armpits (she has very thin fur on her underside) due to the material of the harness rubbing in this area. I also find the buckles a bit difficult to unclip as they are partially hidden inside the attachment area which means you have to squeeze the buckle through the thick harness material to release the clasp. Because of my love of their other products and the front clip feature, I may try to put some padding or softer material in the underarm area to see if that helps.Melissa S.
For the most part I really like this harness. The construction seems sturdy and the color is nice, and it’s very easy to get on and off. That said, I think it could be improved by lengthening the body (the neck to back, if you will). I have two mixed breed dogs who are very similar in shape, size, and weight. I purchased two of these harnesses, one in extra small and one in small. The small is overall a bit too large around, and the small (although ok for girth) is way too short. I am always trying to keep an eye on their underarms and backs of their elbows to make sure they aren’t getting raw spots. I’ve seen the same issue in other reviews, so I don’t think it’s just my dogs. I would also love it if you could purchase extenders in different sizes, because I think often a smaller size is better all around, but doesn’t extend in girth quite enough, while the next size up is too big. The good still outweighs the not perfect though, and I keep coming back to Ruffwear to buy different styles of harnesses!Samantha N.
So, I had been waiting until our pup was close to full grown to invest in this harness, as it's a bit pricier. I really wanted to love this harness SO much and give it the best review, as the quality is fantastic and it's really just an all around durable and beautiful harness!! BUT…… it did not work well for our English Cocker Spaniel Pup. I bought her an XS at our local pet store and we tried it on there to make sure it seemed to fit right, as she is pretty much full grown now. I don't think the XXS would fit her girth properly, so we got the XS, which fits nicely around the chest, but after grooming her puppy fur around the neck, the harness is too loose at its tightest now, and when I use the front hook (which is ideal for training her on the leash), the harness shifts terribly and has caused really awful matting of her fur under her armpits, to the point where I had to stop using the harness. And now I have to cut off all that matted fur under her armpits. We comb and brush her regularly, but she's also active and we hike and swim and have done lots of activity in this harness. It's such a shame, as the front clip was my favorite way to leash train her and I just love the overall look/style of the harness, but I don't think the XXS is going to fit, as I can barely get the XS over her head at it's tightest and then it's too loose at the neck. All that to say, if you have a floofy spaniel pup who likes to pull, you may want to make sure you can get sizing exact and be sure to check the fur constantly. I'm giving this 3 stars because it is a really well made harness, just did not work out well for our ECS. None of my other harnesses have caused matting like this, even when her puppy floof was at it's longest, so I know it's this harness and using the front loop hook and just the fit not working right for her. Looks great, doesn't fit great. I'm so bummed about it. I really wanted to love this harness. I would recommend it to a pup that does not have long fur.Lindsay
