We have a Yorkie that loves this stuff! We started with the rolls and he was really eating it up but after a while it took us having to coax him into eating. We came across these and from the first time we gave it to him, he licks the bowl clean each and every time. It is now the only food that I will feed him. I know that all the ingredients are fresh and good for him. He has more energy (if that's possible) and his coat is shinier than it has ever been. An all around great and healthy choice for your loved one and it's at a great price, even with everything going up these days! Would highly recommend.Tammy

After my 7 month old puppy was healing from a spaying surgery (just got back from) her appetite was gone, but the only thing she would eat was Freshpet chicken treats. We tried giving her normal kibble and some beef wet food but she wouldn't touch it, she's never had beef before though so that might've played a part. My mom decided to try FreshPet and my dog went crazy for it, ate the whole thing in one sitting and even picked up the paper plate and flung it around. She's never ever done that in the 4+ months we've had her, we've tried multiple kibble/wet food brands as well. We've switched to the Vital line rolls and she still likes them, we mix with her normal kibble and she eats around the kibble (she usually comes back to finish it after). This food is definitely worth the price although the feeding guidelines seem a little too much. The kibble we fed promises shiny coats (which it did provide) but with freshpet her coat is even more shiny and she's so much more happier to eat. My little chihuahua, Judah, is six years old. Like a lot of older chihuahuas, she’s lost most of her teeth, so she can’t eat regular hard kibble. I initially had her try some Blue Buffalo individual wet food, but she always seemed tired and run down. Within three days of switching to this food, she was more energetic and played with her toys for the first time in over a year. It's hard to find a dry dog food that seems to satisfy our five year old Great Pyrenees/Border Collie mix and fill him up, so we have tried numerous different brands of kibble. I stumbled upon this one after purchasing the puppy formula of the same brand for our new chihuahua puppy. We have now been Iams food for both of them for nearly a year now. Our big dog loves this food, and we like it because it gives him all the vitamins and minerals he needs to keep him healthy. It is more expensive than other brands, but we don't mind paying a little more to feed our fur-babies because they are not just animals, but family. We get the 15-20 pound bag to feed our big dog. We feed him twice a day, seven days a week, and the bag usually lasts approximately a week and a half.Amanda

I used to feed grain free and such but after attending a canine health seminar at my breed nationals, it was talked about that dogs need a more balanced diet and that it does include grains. I had also been avoiding chicken as I had a dog who was allergic but was convinced to try this. They source quality ingredients and they are processed in a way that keeps them quality. Since then, a lot has also come out about grain free high protein causing heart problems in dogs! I switched to Royal Canin in October and my pugs have never looked better! Pugs are not a very active breed and yet the grain free diets kept them too lean for my taste. I also had issues with urinary tract infections and yeast. This food provides a good balance of carbs/protein and I see it reflected in my dogs. Healthy weight, good quality of coat and lots of energy. I feed the large breed blend to my Rottweiler too and get nothing but compliments on her coat. As far as cost, I can get this locally now at Petco as cheap or cheaper than with the online big store! I feed this to my picky Yorkie who eats it well and her coat is the shiniest I've ever seen it after a couple months on this food. We were recently traveling and my large dog went on a hunger strike and refused to eat. I offered her this food to stimulate her appetite and she ate it right up! I've tried her on the Royal Canin large breed formula but she didn't care for it, plus it took forever to get through the 35lb bag. My dog has a sensitive stomach, very acidic and would vomit clear foam in the AM. The vet said it could be his diet. We have tried so many dog food brands from more natural food brands, vet brands & homemade dog food selected by animal dietician over the years. First let me say, many moons ago we started our Schnauzers on the Wellness Core Grain Free Diet after our vet suggested we consider it because of ongoing skin issues/allergies. They did beautifully on it and LOVED it. As we adopted a few more pups, we just couldn't afford to keep all of them on this brand. Recently our last dog passed at 17 and we decided to go back to Schnauzers as they were our first love and personally, I am less reactive (allergy-wise) to them. We were blessed to be able to find a pair of Schnauzers (boy & girl) who had been surrendered by a breeder (really it was a puppy mill operation with a professional looking website) because I assume she no longer had use for them. We named them Dapper & Fancy. They were with a local rescue for a short period of time before coming our way – we wanted to get them into a quieter home-like setting ASAP. These pups are mini miniatures (at 9 & 10 lbs) and are 6 & 7 yrs old. Unfortunately their physical/psychological needs are great and their general state of health is terrible – far surpassing their ages. They have had so many untreated ear infections over the years (and general lack of care) that 3 of their 4 ears are permanently & grossly disfigured to the point of near ear canal occlusion. They are missing 90% of their front & side teeth due to poor nutrition, stress from chewing on their cages, and complete lack of dental care. At their 1st vet appt 2 wks ago we were told that the majority of the rest of their teeth need to come out as they are so badly decayed. They are only 6 & 7!! Add to that multiple worm infections requiring treatment. We literally left with 7 different medications for their various ailments. Psychologically they are making some progress, but as these fur babies have little experience with humans/human interaction, it could take them a very long time to realize we are trustworthy. Fancy won't make eye contact and both look away/are rigid as can be if held. They have each had several nightmares in which they howl, cry out, and are hard to awaken; they are so sorrowful that I am left in tears. Outside they are getting used to grass, swaying tree branches scare them, and they are 1000% curious as puppies. Some toys are interesting (mainly those that make a sound or have a soft texture) but they don't have any idea about what to DO with the toys. Both have a ways to go but considering where they were, I am proud of them for the small steps each have taken. So why do I share their stories? Maybe someone will give a shelter or rescue dog the 2nd/3rd/even 4th chance he/she deserves vs. buying a puppy online, picking one out at the flea market, or selecting one from a breeder. Those puppies have moms, and I am caring for one who NEVER got the care she needed even though people spent hundreds, even thousands of dollars for one of her "toy" puppies. And why am I sharing their story here? I would love to feed these babies Wellness again – but they need a small breed kibble (esp once they have even fewer teeth) and the vet recommended a senior diet as their guts have been trashed and they can use the add'l benefits a senior diet provides. I know Wellness would be wonderful for addressing their nutritional deficiencies. HOWEVER you only offer this food in a 4lb bag!!! This really makes no sense! Especially when you have review after review from your customers requesting larger bags – going back years!!! Not only is a small bag problematic since I have 2 dogs, but the cost associated with it is prohibitive when you compare it to other brands. We have already had significant financial expenses for their care and know more are coming – including approx $2,000 in dental care. Until you are able to offer this dog food formula in a larger bag, I will go with what the vet recommended. Although I will con't to top off their food with a spoonful from your Mini Meal packets, I want to be able to feed them the Wellness Complete Health Small Breed Senior dry dog food! I give this food to my miniature dachshund and he loves it! It seems to agree with him and he has never had any negative reactions to it like upset stomach, vomiting, or anything of that nature. He has a nice shiny coat and has normal bowel movements on the regular. Additionally, it’s a more healthy almost holistic type of food so that makes it even better. I used to feed my dog a different brand that was only available in a different state. Therefore I had to switch to a different product and I came across Wellness, which had many good reviews. I have a toy Australian shepherd mix, and she usually vomits if the food is not compatible with her, especially treats. I’m not able to compare more food brands since this would only be her second type of food brand, but so far, she really seems to enjoy this product. She finishes her bowl of food on a daily basis. I recently purchased the 4Health small breed dog food for my 3 tiny girls. As soon as I put it in their bowl, 2 of them started to eat and it didn't take long at all for the 3rd one to join in! This has NEVER happened before. They have always resisted any new food for at least a minimum of a week or more. It has VERY small kibble, which is perfect for them! I decided to give it a try because I like the ingredient list and it's less expensive than all the other premium foods I have fed them in the past. I purchased this dog food because my breeder recommended it, but after reading the ingredients label, I returned it. The first ingredient is rice which is a dog filler and considered bad. The second ingredient is chicken by-product meal which is a nice name for slaughterhouse waste which is all the organs that a human won't eat because they are disgusting. I love my dog and could not even think of feeding them this food. This dog food is horrible and expensive! I love Royal Canin. They are a great company with lots of research behind their food. I wanted my small puppy to be in on this brand but she was a picky eater. She love this and the sizes of the kibble were small enough for her 2 lb body. Would recommend.lisa.c

My little Havanese is getting older and has unfortunately started losing some of her teeth. Eating dry food has become more challenging for her. I’ve had to mix dry food with wet food for her to be able to eat it. This product is great for her because it has tender bites in it which are easy to chew for my small dog. I usually buy the Yorkie breed specific food, but my retailer was out of it. I saw this on the shelf and decided I would try it instead of ordering online or running to different stores. Both dogs love this as much as they do the breed specific! There were no digestion issues with changing the food and the littlest of the 2 (5 pounds) I think enjoys it more since the pieces are even smaller. Since switching to Royal Canin their picky eating stopped and they went from under weight from when I got them to normal weight. They are sturdy dogs with a lot of energy and gorgeous coat's. There is no dog who is a picker eater than my Pixie. She is the most amazing looking Pappillion, (her grandfather, Kirby, won best in Show at Westminster in 1999) weighs 6 1/2 pounds, and spits food out if she dosn't like it. Have you ever seen a dog spit out steak. People do not believe me until they see it. Steak, chicken, eggs, cheese, anything all dogs love is subject to Pixies taste at the moment. I received a little bag of this and normally feed my dog high quality expensive food but thought I would give them a little. They love it more than any other food they've had before (Purina pro plan, Costco, tractor supply, zignature). When I grab the little bag, both dogs run to the kitchen to eat and my Dane shoves his head in the bag to eat it. Neither dog is overly food motivated and will leave their food all day every day. My dog ate this willingly only twice. I've even dipped it meat juice & he will not eat it. If I crush it in his food he rejects the whole bowl. He is not picky at all. so these must taste pretty bad. They are very dry. no idea if they work or not, can't see results if he won't eat them. I can assume the ingredients are medicinal. We’ve been feeding Taste of the Wild Appalachian for small dogs for about a year now after switching to about 10 different brands. He loves it. The kibble is small, and the food is palatable and healthy. I wish the small kibble was available in fish and sweet potato too, but this has some fish in it. It’s a great choice in food for a very picky little dog. Now if he would only stop chewing his feet. This is new and been going on for about a year or so. My vet questioned why I was feeding my beagle a lower quality food. My dog had digestive issues and was on the rounder side. I fed this to my older dog (now almost 11) for 4 years before he developed a sensitivity to poultry. I have another dog, Mia, now whom I fed the puppy version of this food until she was a year old and she loved it, so naturally we moved up to this food once she hit a year old. With all the worry about grain free foods potentially causing heart issues, we’d tried to switch Mia to a grain-inclusive food but she had diarrhea and vomiting when we tried gradually switching her food that progressively got worse. So we switched back to this food and we won’t try to switch off of it again knowing she cannot process grains! The ingredients are high quality for grain-free and there are no by-products. Mia maintains a healthy weight, soft shiny fur, and hasn’t gotten sick her whole life thus far (15 months old). My older dog also did very well on it until we had to switch him because of poultry, and his fur hasn’t been the same on his new food, very lackluster, but that could be due to his age as well. I’m not sure. All in all I highly recommend this food for small breed adult dogs who have to have grain-free food! I have three little dogs–a Terrier mix, a Poodle, and a Shih Zhu. Feeding the first two is easy. They'll eat just about anything and stay healthy and active.Our little Shih Zhu, however, is another story. Most everything makes her vomit…and when she does, it's not pretty, especially during COVID lockdowns where grooming is often deferred (or happens in my ham-fisted way). She looked and acted pathetic.However, with this food, overnight her vomiting stopped. She seems to have more energy and is less grumpy than before, too. She'll never be a little ball of energy like our Poodle and Terrier–she's really more of a cat than a dog in many ways. Like the small kibble. Easier for my older chihuahua to chew. I like the ingredients. My chihuahua gets upset stomach problems a lot, but so far no problems with this food. He sits at the dish till its gone. Before he would walk each piece of food away from the dish with all the other foods. Its been a week now, but so good so far. My Lurcher Heidi had to have a mammary tumour removed. She was terrified wearing an Elizabethan collar. So I got her a Buster collar but being long nosed Sighthound and with a flexable neck she could reach her stitches. The "Suitical" vest I got her from D forDog was absoulutley amazing. Comfy, stretchy and easy to wash and dry. It covered the area allowing healing . For toileting I just un-did the press studs and took her back legs out of the garment and rolled the Suitical back to her shoulders. Then when she had been to the toileting area I simply rolled it back and put her back legs through and did the garment up. It was similiar to a childs body suit. I can't praise this garment enough. Overnight was no problem as she slept in it as so comfy.Sue

I had been buying the 4Health small bites for my dogs for over a year. Around October 2020 they both started vomiting their food within 24 hours of each other. Within another 24 hours they were vomiting the food within an hour of eating and the vomit started to include blood. I took them to the vet – vet gave them some medicine to heal their throats and I stopped the food entirely. Dogs were fine as soon as I stopped the food. Contacted Tractor Supply about the issue – they asked for receipts for the food, pictures of the batch number, and receipts from the vet. I gave them everything and then they never followed up with me. This is 4 months later so I feel like they've had plenty of time to respond.jkimbrel

I never thought in a million years that TSC would carry such a superior dog food that was its company brand. our dogs became sick upon eating this bag. we purchased little bites real chicken and my doggies became instantly ill. sneezing, coughing, dry heaving, runny nose, loose stools, fluids draining from nasal cavaities and all around malaise. waiting on vet now. listing this review in hopes that it would educate anyone who may experience the same from this product or protect anyone while company determine what the issue might be.Stacie

I purchased this food three months ago when switching my puppy to a quality adult dog food. I was looking for something for small breeds, something of good quality, and something that wasn't totally grain free. This fit the bill for everything I was looking to find for my little Cairn Terrier. She took immediately to the food and the kibble size is just right. She is happy, energetic, and her coat shines. It is easy on her stomach and her wast is firm and does not have a bad odor. This food really seems to be working well to keep her happy and healthy. The only mistake I made was to decide to purchase some of the Rachel Ray wet dog food to use as a small flavor enhancer and provide a little moisture to the food. Now, she won't eat the food unless a tad of one of the wet food flavors (which look good enough for a human to eat!) is added. I think she likes the variety. That's why I wish the Little Bites would come in a variety of flavors instead of just chicken. Thought for the future????LenaMarie57

While on holiday, my friends 2 dogs were eating this food and mine got into it. And they loved it so much they refused to eat their own! So I had to buy it. This food fills up my dogs better than any other food. They don’t eat as much and feel good. They have energy. They are 14 and 3 years old. And they really enjoy this food.Kyda
