I have owned a lot of equipment over the years for my 4 legged friends, all from various manufacturers. I can honestly say the Ruffwear brand are probably the best I have used. Strong and well made with quality hardware. I particularly like the seperate dog tag mounting point and rubber disc to cushion the tag. This means no more rattling of metal against metal as my dog walks and plays. It has to be more pleasurable for the dog too, considering their highly tuned hearing. The item itself is mediocre at best. . It’s an overpriced collar with a plastic clip. There was a time when I really enjoyed your products. Now I have to sacrifice quality for the esthetic color that I want. . I would have much preferred and would even pay the up charge to have the color I chose with the metal buckle. I do a lot of hiking and backpacking with my pup and when he’s excited (which is often) I now have a concern for the durability of his collar AND his harness. I doubt I’ll be purchasing ruffwear again anytime soon and to get a quality product you will have to pay a lot more and also sacrifice in the esthetic department.Zach H.

This is such a beautiful paisley dog collar! the print is scrolled in shades of brown and tan on a luxurious red.. it is timeless, elegant, and classic. the vibrant red background makes this a great choice for a christmas dog collar, or for any time of year. you can never go wrong with a fancy dog collar. the fabric used here is a high end decorator fabric by ralph lauren. this collar is a handmade craft, and not an official ralph lauren item. all my rescue me dog collars are handmade. each one is individually measured and then hand cut. i've used cotton quilting fabric over webbing. the fabric has a varying print pattern and because of natural pattern variations your collar may appear different than the one pictured. the collar pictured here uses 1 inch wide webbing. the fabric is pinned onto polypropylene (poloypro) webbing. the this is a great webbing for dog collars because, of all the choices, it is the least likely to cause an allergic reaction in your dog. it is also the fastest drying and unlikely to harbor molds or bacteria. then each item is sewn by me using my sewing machine, and all hardware securely placed. i use welded steel for strength and durability. each collar has doubly reinforced box stitching to secure the hardware and ensure lasting use. complimentary or contrasting stitching completes each look. i use very high quality plastic side release buckles and slides for your convenience and your dog's comfort. if you would like another buckle color just ask at check out. we have black, white, light blue, dark blue, red, pastel pink, hot pink, hunter green, olive green, tan, brown, cream, purple, & orange! please measure your dog carefully before ordering since i am unable to accept returns on most orders. see our shop policies for further information.

Honestly one of the prettiest collar patterns ive seen!! I love this i got two! One for me and one for my moms dogg, these collars are made very well and are thick which totally allays my slight anxiety about my dog breaking away from the collar breaking.. that wont happen! I love this pattern but also this sellers other choices for pattern are quite beautiful as well and no offense i feel a lot of times collar patterns aren't attractive and usually alittle tacky looking.. sorry.. It's not large, it's only about 19" if you include the buckle, my dog has a 19" neck, so it didn't go around his neck much less fit him. It's more like a medium, quality is excellent, nice padded collar, looked like good leather, if it was bigger or my dog was smaller I would have kept it!dous409

Buckle that holds the collar closed is cheaply made. Used it to take my dog for a walk and after a couple of pulls the collar came right apart. Put it back on and soon after the same thing happened. With the collar off the dog you can simply pull the two ends apart in your hands. This product is just for show, not for use.Jenn
While I love the look of this collar, the clasp design is very unreliable. While the outer receptacle of the claps is metal, the inside is plastic. It's very week, and the collar flies off with the slightest pull. Sometimes it flies off of my Doberman when she barks with some spirit. If the clasp was made with metal on both pieces, I suspect it would work better.Gabrielle
