I stopped giving apoquel to my dog, not only because of the expense (costing more than $200 a month), but also because of all the reviews I have read about the danger to a dog's immune system with prolonged use. I have intentionally waited to write a review because I wanted to give enough time to see if the Fidoplex was going to make a difference. I bought this supplement a year ago because my cavalier king charles spaniel had recently experienced two bad episodes with ivdd and she’s only 4 years old. We took our Newfie/Lab to the vet to get vaccinated for a training class. Shortly after his shots, he developed a skin allergy with two hot spots on each hip. I have two small dogs, one of them is a senior and is missing quite a few of his teeth, so giving him treats, food, vitamins, etc can be difficult. These chews are so soft, easy to chew, and evidently delicious! At his age it is important for me to keep his immune system healthy to keep him healthy. The soft chew smells like beef jerky to me, it’s a nice smell, not over powering. My dog is blind, so having a supplement that smells appetizing is important, otherwise he won’t eat it. My daughter helps to rescues greyhounds and Spanish galgos. She has adopted two greyhounds of her own. One is an older greyhound that lost a toe racing and has back problems. The other was a puppy fail with too strong of a prey response and a very short attention span. She does everything she can to keep them healthy. These Greenies Supplements Immune Health with vitamin E and C were a big hit with her and the dogs. Her dogs can be finicky about what goes in their mouths and the older one has a tender mouth and teeth. They both loved the greenies. There was the usual initial sniffing to see what I was offering to them followed by a lick before they decided this new food was something they would eat. After that they happily ate the Greenies. It is a win win. They get a treat and I know that I am supporting their immune system. The chicken flavor drew them in and the soft chews made it easy for them to eat. My dog loves these! He's never been a huge fan of traditional Greenies, I think because of the texture because he always tries to eat it but doesn't get far before he loses interest. These treats, however, he begs for! The texture is SO chewy, almost like a gummy candy. They don't have that strong vitamin smell that a lot of pet supplements have, and that's great for me because I hate that smell! He loves these and he gets super excited for his morning Greenie! I love how versatile this is! I have 3 dogs. My largest being 80lbs and two 10lb dogs. I love that unlike some calming treats that have to be broken up due to size or more for my larger dog this I can measure out and each dog gets just what they need. My GSD has bad separation issues (we adopting him and he was kenneled all the time so he gets really nervous) This calming infusion has taken the edge off. He seems to be much calmer in the past week when we give him it before bed or before we leave. My little dogs like it also. They loved the flavor and are excited for it.
My small Feist breed has developed severe separation anxiety and aggression which has become unsafe and unhealthy for her. I decided to try this calming solution because of its healthy ingredients and it's working wonderfully. I have to mix small treats with it so she will eat it but giving half of the recommended dose in the morning keeps her calm but still playful throughout the day. We give her the full recommended dose when we're gonna be gone for long periods of time. We have seen a drastic change in her behavior. She still wants to be close to us but is not longer whining and chewing household items. Her aggression has seemed to slow down as well. I highly recommend you try this for your dog if they are experiencing anxiety issues.
To put it simply, I have a nervous wreck of a pitty. I love that this is liquid and super easy to add to her bowl of food. My girl definitely noticed a change and we had to do a super slow introduction with it. We're still not up to the dose she should be at for her weight. She seems to be managing me being gone a little better. Less mess when I arrive home. Thunderstorms are another story. I notice absolutely no difference. I love the chamomile and Tryptophan and think she's getting benefits from each of these supplements. We'll continue to get up to her correct dose and see if she'll be receiving benefits with thunderstorms once we are. Great flavor with proven results…it doesn't get much better than this.

My 7 month old yellow lab was excessively itchy and dropping fur like crazy. All dogs scratch and shred…this is my second Labrador so I know what "normal" shedding and scratching look like…this puppy was miserable. Then she broke out into hives. A treatment plan of Benadryl combined with a skin supplement was recommended by someone I trust. While waiting for the skin supplement to arrive, I began adding ground flaxseed to her food. The results were immediate. The shedding nearly stopped altogether. When these supplements arrived, I stopped adding the ground flaxseed to her food and fed these instead. The shedding and itching continued to improve. I stopped the Benadryl completely and her skin and coat looked amazing and she was obviously more comfortable. When I ran out of the soft chews, the shedding and scratching started all over again within 2-3 days. Proof for me that the soft chews were doing the job. When reordering, I decided to shop for a supplement that also had flaxseed but was cheaper per dose. I ended up ordering "The Missing Link" powder. The powder requires refrigeration and a measuring spoon and it leaves a fishy odor behind. In addition she sheds a little more on the powder than when on the soft chews. Regarding the breath aid…my lab never has bad breath anyway, so I cannot comment on that. And for those interested…in the meantime I have switched her food from Science Diet Large Breed Puppy which was full of corn to Blue Buffalo Large Breed Puppy. I do wonder if perhaps I could stop the supplement altogether now and plan to experiment. However, if she does need the supplement, this is the one I will buy.JazminesMom
