Puppia Soft Dog Harness For Sale (2024 Update)

Great fitting harness and the adjustable neck section is great . I've had other harnesses in the past and whilst they fit my English Staffordshire around the body I found they got to a point where they were difficult to get on and off over his big lump of a head . Overall a great product and I'll definitely look at getting the bigger one once he outgrows this one .Scott M

I have a 70lb Xoloitzcuintli (Mexican Hairless). I purchased both the Hurtta Cooling Coat and the Swamp Cooler Dog Vest by Ruffwear. Both are made from similar material and work the same way. The Hurtta coat has much more coverage, has extended hind end flaps and front chest flaps, resembles a horse jacket. Whereas the Ruffwear is more of a fitted vest. I would have given the Hurtta Cooling Coat 5 stars however, the stitching that secured the chest strap isn't reinforced and tore out of the material the first time used. I then outfitted the dog in the Ruffwear Swamp Vest, which worked beautifully. Since my dog is hairless it was easy to feel how well the vest worked. Placing my hand on exposed skin, then touching skin under the vest, there was a noticeable difference in temperature however his skin was dry – just cooler. I have stitched the Hurtta strap back on and feel it will be equally as good if not better than the Ruffwear due to it's increased surface area.Laura

We love this vest harness! The material is nice and soft and it's so easy to put on, no fussing with extra straps and what not. My puppy was measuring between and small and medium (small in the neck and medium in the girth). Medium ended up being the perfect size for him.AJays Mum

This is a great harness and very easy to use, comfy and secure. However, the X Large is now too small for my 2 year old mini groodle who is approx. 13 kgs. I wish they made a bigger size as he still needs to wear a harness.Verity

I love puppies' products, but they tend to run small. This one almost didn't fix my 30lbs. goldendoodle. I had to extend to the largest setting possible and it was snug. I got lots of compliments on his walk. I added a christmas charm on the front to complete the look! Love how it feels so soft and of good quality. This coat is really remarkable. I had to get a bigger size to go around my Yorkie/Silkie's tummy so it is a little too long down her back but I have no worries she is going to get out of the harness part of the coat. I just wish it had some material to go down her front paws a bit, but it is warm.Diane G

Four of my dogs are huge beasts that have special harnesses that they wear when I take them for a walk; it allows me to feel confident that they are under control (especially if they see a cat roaming around) and I know that even if they start pulling on the leash they aren't going to get the air choked out of them. For my small dog I needed something that he wouldn't be able to wiggle out of; he is a true escape artist and this harness is the only one that he has never been able to get out of when we've been on walks. It is soft and comfortable on his body and he still has a full range of motion when it is on him; getting it on and off of him takes about a minute if he isn't jumping around and excited when he sees me pull it out of the hall closet. One of the best things about this harness is that I don't have to take his neck collar off when I put this on him; he still has his registration and vet tags on him so if he should happen to pull a disappearing act at least I know that if someone finds him they will know that he is indeed a pet and not a stray. I originally got this in gray but opted to get a second one in orange so that he is easier to spot if we go for a walk in the evening. If I am walking to the store in the evening I usually put the orange one on him so I can see exactly where he is in relation to my feet so I don't accidentally step on him. The harnesses are machine washable and have help up perfectly since I got them. I know that when he is wearing one there's almost no chance that he will be able to wiggle his way out of it and that when he starts pulling on the leash when he gets excited he isn't putting undue pressure on his neck or throat.AlexFortune

We have five small dogs and all of them love this harness. When I found these online I was so excited to find a harness that is designed with both comfort and function in mind. These harness are so much nicer for the dogs to wear. The soft fabric and the shape of the harness is much more comfortable for our dogs to wear then the thin harnesses you find in the store. The thinner harnesses would cut into our dogs armpits and cause discomfort. These harnesses provide nothing but comfort. Another plus for the Puppia harness is how easy it is to put on and take off. Our dogs basically step right into them on their own. With regular harnesses they are tight and we have to battle with them. The fabric is breathable and light allowing airflow but they are also sturdy and keep the dogs secure. The only problem that we face with them is the non adjustable neck. Although the chest can be tightened the neck cannot so if you have a dog that is in between sizes you have to go up a size and the neck is a bit big. This is the case for two of our dogs. Where is it not a problem for one of them the other one tends to get her leg through her neck and eventually make her way out of it. That is the only down side I have for these harnesses. If you plan on getting one measure your dog carefully and enjoy choosing one out from all of the amazing colors and patterns! There are so many great choices it is hard for me to resist buying several for each of our dogs 🙂trinnym

I have purchased several harnesses for my Mal-Shih in her 2 1/2 years. My all time favorite is the Puppia brand and this specific mesh version. The neon pink is SO pretty and Charlee definitely stands out as we take our walks. I have this harness in the neon pink and in bright yellow (not neon). Knowing that I love this particular Puppia harness, I also ordered the sky blue color for her. This brand and the mesh version is second to none! Charlee is 11 lbs and wears size Medium.Jannice P

Love this Puppia dog harness vest.. So soft yet sturdy enough to keep our little Chi girl from wiggling out of . Have many harnesses but she can pull back and come out of while walking. This vest does the trick..better coverage. Also washes well too. Woul love to see in more colors.Marilyn B

I have tried a bunch of collars and harnesses. This one is perfect for my small dog. I mostly use it for my long walks when I want to protect her neck. She delights in trying to go after squirrels and bunnies. I tried the pug harness, but it was too heavy and too much stuff around her body. The pug harnesses are excellent, but not for my dog. Our maltipoo Watson always seemed to be in between sizes when we would buy him harnesses at the local pet stores, nothing ever seemed to fit him right and he would always manage to slip out of them making walks very stressful. I found this harness and liked the fact that it had 2 fasteners; 1 clip and 1 velcro and seemed to be more adjustable than our previous harnesses so I purchased it. We were not at all disappointed. The harness fits our little guy perfect and seems to be more comfortable for him to wear. If we ever need a new harness in the future this is definitely the one we will be purchasing again.Jen L.

As it states in the notes…the sizes do not measure to other brands. My dog is 4 pounds and ordered an XS and it is way too tight for her. Going to order a small to see if that works.Anna

This is an excellent harness vest. We have a very small Rat Terrier and while it is light weight enough for him to carry, it is very, very sturdy. The materials used in this harness vest appear to be of top quality. The velcro strap has a rounded border sewn on which makes it stay nice and flat and it doesn't pick up much debris. The snap buckle opens easily and is attached to the vest with heavy duty straps. All-in-all this is the nicest harness vest I have seen on the market. It was very reasonably priced for the quality and it is really going to hold up for a long time.djpsait

My Pug has several Puppia harnesses and a cute coat which a size L always fit her, even with nonstrectchable material. However, this harness was so small it would not even meet halfway under her chest. Pugs do have larger necks and chests than similar size dogs, which is why she normally fits into a size L from Puppia. Regarless of your dog's breed/build, you will still need at least one size larger for this harness (in this case I would hope that two sizes larger might fit, if they carry an XXL) Unfortunately, dog.com does not provide a return shipping label, and I was not able to print a label at home, because I am in the process of moving and will not have my printer until after their 30-day return policy. I am also disabled and cannot drive to a post office, As a last resort, I called and explained the situation and they were very accomodating and fair by extending the return period for a refund, as long as the vest is in new condition.Donadela

I purchased this harness after I saw a chihuahua on a You Tube video (thanks Jenna Marbles channel & Marbles who wore the vest in the balloon video.) who happened to be wearing this brand of vest, the dog looked comfy in it so I freeze framed the video and I hunted down the brand. It has very soft lining fur which my own chihuahua loves..it's like a snuggling blanket inside the vest. Durable, safe, my dog loves it and likes wearing it due to being super soft inside vest (they come in different linings) and even has a tracking app device tag/charm so you could locate your dog by phone app provided for free, which can also be removed. Worth the price for quality and your dogs comfort/safety-highly recommend! Will purchase more from this brand..oh, and p.s.-my Winston Churchill is at 10.5 pounds and the medium size fits great 😉Deborah P
