I've tried the Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Antiseptic and Anti fungal Spray for Dogs and Cats on a few of our outside cats. They've been deflead but one still kept scratching and losing fur just above her tail. I'm not sure if it's an allergic reaction to the fleas or if it's the result of a thyroid problem. But we tried this spray and the itching stopped immediately. It's been almost 3 weeks and she still isn't scratching it. I also wanted to try this on some ringworm that a few of the outside cats have. I've been spraying this on for almost 3 weeks now but haven't really seen any improvement with the ringworm spots that I'm treating. Ringworm can respond slow to treatments anyway so I'm not sure if this is going to help with that or not. The spray is a pump and it has a light citrus smell, kind of like oranges. It will not harm your pet if they lick it. It didn't list a minimum age that you can use it on. It contains Chlorhexidine Gluconate, Keratin, and Aloe Vera. It's listed as an antifungal, antimicrobial, and antibacterial. To use this you just spray the area tell really wet, twice daily for a week, then once daily for another week. I read the reviews for this product but was still a bit skeptical for it to actually work. One of my cats (2 yr old orange tabby) literally scratched the size of a 50 cent bare spot (literally overnight) in center of his back below shoulder blade. By the end of the day the circle was warm red inflamed and gross. Being on a tight budget I did my research for home remedies. First I began applying a year old vet prescribed Dermalone antibiotic that was prescribed for one of my other cats for 3 days but area got worse. Then began applying Neosporin for 2 days lightly on and around scab now and ( luckily the spot was where he could not reach to lick off) and it did nothing as well. A week later purchased this product, followed the directions and a week later the area was completed healed. Scab dried and fell off and new skin looks perfect and normal. Unfortunately I dont know what this was for did not take him to a vet. Infected area did resemble pictures of ringworm online. Sorry not a review but a question. Sounds like this works well but I have a horrible time keeping my Shepard from licking his wounds. Even when I cover them he trys to get the bandage off to get at them. It says this provides some pain relief, so I'm hoping that will discourage the licking. Our dog twice got foxtail seeds in his paws which lead to serious infections. He missed a hunting trip and the second time his paw was huge with the infection and had to be lanced. Poor fella. My avid little mouser cat caught herself a little prize just a few days before a month-prior planned trip my husband and i were unavoidably about to go to. Apparently that mouse had bitten her back in the process, right on her tender little lip cleft! Using this for hot spots on my canine, this stuff does work but it sometimes can take up to 2 8oz. Bottles to heal the area's treated. Not sure if it's the strength of medicine or just those stubborn spots. Apoquel has done wonders for my German Shepherd who recently developed seasonal allergies at six years old. He was scratching and biting at himself 24/7 and he caused an infection on his foot from the constant licking. He was so miserable until our vet put him on apoquel along w an antibiotic for his infection. The apoquel worked very quickly with relief felt later the same day he started. I am a vet assistant, and I see all kinds of animals coming in with different skin conditions or allergies and always felt so bad for them and their owners….. then I got a dog with allergies and then I found out what it's really like…. it is devastating watching your dog itch and scratch to the point of pulling their hair out, then when the hair is gone… then there goes their skin…. they will make themselves bleed and still won't stop. I tried benadryl I tried EVERYTHING, had to even do skin antibiotics and steroid Injections and still he was itching…. so… the dr tried him on this….. now… first thing I will say is this medication isn't cheap especially for bigger dogs (if you have a 10lbs dog it's not going to be too bad) but my poor dog had to start off taking 2 16mg 2 times a day and it was roughly 300 for the first month, however from there you taper down and after a few months I got him down to half a tablet once daily…. anyway…. this medication worked like a dream for him. He hasn't had any issues for over a year now and although sometimes he scratches its more of a normal itch. This medication literally saved him and my sanity. I bought this for my dog Tilly – who stepped on a Thawn – and has constantly been licking her paws. It caused and infection in her foot so I immediately started searching for other creams or antibacterial sprays. I found this 5 star product as the first pop up I saw, and thought it looked a great amazing cream with almost all positive reviews and at first I saw no impact on the feet and considered changing creams to a spray instead but I gave it one more night and when I woke up the next morning the impact for her was huge! I was so pleased at purchased another just in case. It’s a great product and recommend it for sores and bumps but definitely not open wounds. Recieved a 3oz bottle of Vetericyn Plus Hotspot Antimicrobial Hydrogel for free in exchange for an honest review. I have to say, this stuff is amazing! My lab/beagle mix suffers from skin allergies, and the poor thing will scratch and chew herself until she bleeds, so I was very eager to try this product. The day I received it, I rubbed down her belly with it (this is where she itches the most) and it seemed like she felt instant relief. My poor pupper got irritated paws from horrible ginko berries smashed all over the fall ground and then made them worse by licking. They were so red and I felt so bad. This product is on the shelf next to a dozen others that claim to do the same thing, but I didn't get to it until three others didn't get the job done. This showed visible improvement within a day. Bonus that he didn't lick it off – before I tried this I would combo an antimicrobial with one of those "bitter taste dogs hate" sprays, but my dog is weird and loved those things and would lick them like crazy. I'm a big fan of medicinal mushrooms and know that they work well. However, they are also very powerful and not w/o danger or side effects. Considered how common feline hyperthyroidism is, people should be aware that some medicinal mushrooms contained in here, stimulate the endocrine system. My elderly cat stopped responding to his anti-thyroid meds, with thyroid hormone rising contstantly. I sent an email to Bixbi (the maker of these products) inquiring about the thyroid and Maitake's and Shiitake's endocrine stimulating qualities. Bixbi stated that they do NOT recommend the Superfood products for my cat with Hyperthyroidism. I'm still giving this product 5 stars, because it works and does what it's supposed to do … it's just not for everyone. Purchased this product along with BSST to help our 7-year-old Golden mix build up her immunity to hopefully fight off any more mast cell tumors. While reading other recommendations, I discovered that it is good for older pets, as well, who may need their immunity bolstered simply because of age. So, we began giving it to our nearly 12-year-old Malamute. I have noticed a definite difference in both dogs! They are much more alert, and they look and act like they feel better. Will have to wait to see about helping with the mast cell tumors, but hopefully we'll see good results. Well I gave a puppy a Sussex Spaniel.Very rare breed. They have big paws. So I have been on a mission to use products that start him on the right” paw” Ha ha. I purchased the paw perfection in tube & also the travel ones to tryout. As of now he loves it. I love it too. I believe it is like an Aphrodisiac. I got the small 1.5oz pawtector. I don't know what I was thinking by getting the small one (would be great for a small dog or on the go), but it has helped relieve and protect my golden retrievers paws from the blazing sidewalks in the summertime. His paws have always been rough this time of year and he always chews at them. Ever since I bought this stuff, they have been drastically softer and he has been chewing at his paws so much less. I have rescue pit mix that gets nervous when I put stuff on his paws, especially things that are scented. These are unscented and he's less nervous and actually let's me put this on his feet! He also has extremely sensitive skin so many things burn or cause a reaction. Since these are all natural he hasn't had any reaction which is helping with his anxiety as well!
