My dog was able to slip this off herself and then she chewed it in half the very day I received it. She wears a thicker harness now and she gets hot in it and it's a little big for her. When I put this one on her it looked amazing but she managed to tear it up. Which happens to toys but never before a harness. I think I might not have put it on her tight enough but her other harness she was never able to just slip out of and it's loose on her. So I wouldn't recommend this for aggressive chewers.lolagirlb_8

I have the Large/XL harness. My dog is 60 lbs so I had to tighten the harness a lot. But as he grows I will have plenty of room to loosen it up. It's hard to adjust while on my dog but that could be more about the fact that my chihuahua is a dramatic love muffin that always collapses into my touch because he wants constant attention than an issue with the product lol I'm still trying to fit it on him properly though because when he walks, the padding makes it so bulky that it shifts around and comes away from his body and the straps rub against the back of his legs where they bend closest to his chest which sometimes makes him walk funny even after I adjust the straps. Nous l'avons acheté pour aller chercher notre chiot basenji chez l'éleveur mais nous n'avions pas ses mensurations; du coup nous nous etions basé sur les indications du site mais le harnais est trop grand pour lui l'instant; on verra quand il grandira. I have struggled to find a harness for my slightly over weight cocker spaniel. If I found one that fitted the girth it was too big across the chest and they would slip off. I bought this as a lighter weight / easier fit harness than my Ruffwear as I wanted something easier to put on. This harness is very well made and comes in a great range of colours. It has a chest attachment as well as one on the back. The harness secures over the head with a clip either side of the backpiece. No need to lift a leg to fit. The fittings seem very good quality. The adjustment buckles for size are very stiff and it can take a while to get the fit just right. The upside of this is that the harness is secure and I can be confident that the adjusters will not slip. The reflective stitching is also very effective. Size M fits my 23" whippet very well. I bought this harness about a month or so ago for my Plotthound Lab Mix! This harness is a very great quality harness and my dog is comfortable and happy in it! He is a working dog so this harness is great for when we are on the move or running! The neck area has a bit of stretch to it so if we need to make a sudden stop and it pulls on him he wont be choked! It has a pretty good wide open space for working dog patches or stickers! Our pittie is about 30 pounds and he is not even done growing. I have been using the EasySport Medium Harness for about a month now. I live by the Dunes on Lake Michigan and take our puppy there several times a week. She is about forty five pounds and has quite a bit of energy. When first trying this on her I noticed I was able to loosen the straps. It was very easy and took seconds to loosen. The fit was perfect and she seemed very comfortable. I noticed the straps were thicker and when she pulled, I wasn’t worried the straps would break. While walking through the dunes, some of the pathways can be very narrow. I am training her to stay at my side while other hikers walk by. Having that strap at the top has made it even easier to train her to stay. Now all I have to do is tap the top and she knows to sit. The convenience of the strap and the padding added for comfort are two huge added bonuses for us. Our puppy is very active and while walking her in public I need to trust that I have the best products. I need to be able to rely on our leashes and harnesses so we can enjoy our walks with no worries. This harness has been fantastic. When she pulls too much or gets excited and runs, I know that the harness won’t break. I do believe I will need to size up soon. I ordered a medium and I think it fits very well. I am sure after a few more months of growing though that I will need the large. I will be purchasing the next size up when she’s ready. This harness states will fit up to 60 lb dogs and that is not the case. My dog is a lab retriever mix who weighs 53 pounds and when I opened the box the size of the harness looked like it may have fit a 30 lb dog at best. It's fine if you own a smaller breed but the sizing recommendations are way off. My dog has a small chest size and she is within weight requirements for this harness but it is still way too small. I have a Mini Australian Shepherd puppy, and this harness is so good!! The way the leash attachment “floats” along the dorsal strap makes it work really well no matter where he is in relation to me (front/back/side), and it had really helped him learn not to pull, because unlike a collar it’s not actually unsafe for him to test his limits (so I dont have to try and keep him from doing it, just address when it happens). Good product, comfortable for dog, easy to adjust for size differences, holds up well for changing weather conditions and stress from use. I have purchased three harnesses in the last two years, all for the same dog as he grows. Only problem is where the harness crosses the dog's back and where it adjusts under the belly. When the harness is attached to a leash on the back clip, it slips and shifts until the back clip and leash attachment is hanging on the dog's side. And where the harness has two fixed adjustments near the dog's belly where the harness is held in place by snaps, the snaps aren't strong enough to stay closed when the dog moves, so the straps going through those loops shift and slip until the harness is out of adjustment. Together with the problem of the loose strap on the dog's back, for a large dog like I have, the harness is always twisted or loose unless I make some reinforcing stitches at those two key junctions. The first harness I purchased when the dog was smaller already had those two key junctions stitched and held in place. The next two harnesses needed to be stitched heavily by me in order to stay in place, which was difficult because the material is very tough and thick and isn't easily sewn by hand with a standard needle and thread. I don't know why the company stopped reinforcing those key junctions for the harnesses needed for large, strong dogs. Once the harness junctions are reinforced, the harness is good for a large dog being tethered or walked, and is easily put on and removed even if the dog doesn't hold still. I especially like the fact that the harness can be custom fit around both the neck and the chest, and from neck to back. That allows for long term use while the dog grows.
Purchased and selected size last year based on Kurgo size chart recommendation. Harness was way to large, at the smallest setting on our 56# Aussie. Also hooks/ slides on back of harness twist and turn, don't stay in place.. The adjustment slides don't stay in place in the front and the harness , after one pull is huge again. Quality materials but poor execution of design. Very expensive for what you get. And CS rep hanging up when I called spoke volumes. mes.Janesdog

I just got a couple Airdale Terrier puppies that are about 4 1/2 months now. They're in training now so I wanted to find something that would be comfortable for them while learning to walk on leash. My daughter told me about these harnesses and how they're like a hug for puppies/dogs. I decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did. They fit perfectly. The dog in the nautical harness is 35lbs, and the dog in the purple harness is 31lbs. They're both wearing an XL and there's some room for them to grow as well. Thank you, EcoBark!Bill

I have the same issue as many others do. The harness constantly slips off to one side and no amount of adjusting the straps stops it. One person said the weight of the buckles causes this and now I'm considering how to add some kind of counterweight to offset them. For the amount of money paid, I should not be having this much misery. Cannot recommend the harness due to the endless task of pulling it back up on the dog's back, where it belongs. This is a sturdy, quality harness. However, it's a bit of a pain to adjust and didn't seem to sit quite right. You have to be careful not to get pinched when you buckle it. But once you have it on right it's really nice. I love the handle on it. I still need to test it more to see if it reduces pulling. My dog is a 75 lb Pyrenees mix and it seems a little short on him but I'm pretty sure it's the right size. Overall I'm happy with it despite the issues I mentioned.NutMeg
This harness is very heavy duty. We have a Treeing Walker Coonhound who is a serious puller. The XL\XXL fits him great, though we struggled a bit getting the neck strap fully tightened. He walks well with it on. We love that there are two options for leash hooks. The best part is the handle on the back to hold onto him while we get ready to go. My dog was able to slip this off herself and then she chewed it in half the very day I received it. She wears a thicker harness now and she gets hot in it and it's a little big for her. When I put this one on her it looked amazing but she managed to tear it up. Which happens to toys but never before a harness. I think I might not have put it on her tight enough but her other harness she was never able to just slip out of and it's loose on her. So I wouldn't recommend this for aggressive chewers.lolagirlb_8
