The colors were just as described. I got two of them for my dogs, and they work great. I used to use bowls and a rubber mat. The slop From the water always got icky on the rubber mats. Now I don’t have to use two separate products to feed my dogs. Most of the water gets caught in the bottom of the feeder. I say “most” because when my dogs are really excited, there will be little drops of water on the floor. (To be expected). But 99% of water/food is caught in the dish. I really like the height of them because the legs add the extra height for my tall dogs. It’s easier on their bodies to eat up rather than leaning all the way down I may even get one for my two cats… worth the bang for the buck! Excellent customer service. They have reached out multiple times via text since I ordered. The Deluxe Neater Feeder with Leg Extensions is exactly what we needed for our 65 pound Golden Retriever. Our initial reason in buying is because she needed an elevated food/water bowl. Looks and works as described. Comes with two different size bowls (regular for food, larger/deeper for water). No issues with bowls fitting lose/not properly or hard to remove stickers like some other reviewers have mentioned – maybe we got lucky or those problems have since been fixed. It is also very sturdy for being made out of plastic. We purchased a large with extension legs for our 65-70 lbs husky and it is the perfect size and height. It does trap water and prevent messes – haven’t had any issues in the first few weeks of use so far. The one thing we would change is the height of the back top panel that blocks the water. This is our second one now that we have 3 cats. We have one for the dry food and one for the water. They are definitely neat and oraganized, unlike my teenage boys who manage to get the dry food all over the top when they are refilling the bowls. Kinda defeats the purpose, right? You have to remember to clean the bottom part regularly for the water because stuff sits for days and gets all yucky. The only thing the cats don’t seem to like is if you let the stainless steel bowls sit (and don’t wash the bowls out every other day), it develops a film and apparently changes the taste of the water. I think the concept for this product was great… a product much needed. Upon receiving my unit I was surprised to not see the unit and bowls wrapped for protection and what I did find was a unit that was a bit scuffed u and two damaged bowls. Honestly, I felt the bowls were thin and cheaply made. The positive note is that once I contacted customer service, they responded promptly and then sent out two new bowls very quickly. They were both pleasant and efficient to deal with… not easy to find that kind of customer service these days, so I much appreciated this about this family owned business. Unfortunately I still had issues with the unit and mostly with the bowls. When the new bowls came, I immediately washed them and proceeded to dry them… I was surprised to see black on the cloth I was using to dry them. I washed them again, filled them up and put them down for the pets (I use both for water only). Shortly afterwards as I passed the bowls the water didn't look right to me… like there were little specks in the water. I immediately took them up and emptied them only to find there was some type of residue if I rubbed with my finger. I proceeded to use my own bowls, not a perfect fit but they work. As for the unit itself, I feel it too could be better made. The two separate pieces don't exactly sit well into each other and the unit then tends to wobble a wee bit, but once I put the filled water bowls in it and placed on a small area rug, it eliminates that wobble. All in all I think the concept behind this product is great… something truly needed. I just wish the unit was a bit more refined and that the bowls were of better quality. The quality of this product is ok. Not overly thrilled (I feel it could be made a little sturdier). I was very annoyed with the stickers that were on the bottom of both bowls when it arrived. They were extremely hard to get off, even with Goo Gone (which made me nervous to use on something my dog would be eating and drinking out of anyway). Scrubbing them with a kitchen washcloth after using the Goo Gone scratched them all up as well, which I was kind of bummed about. I wouldn't say this should deter you from purchasing the product, but if you are buying it for the same purpose I was (to replace the beat up, tacky looking dog bowls in my dining room with something that looked nice), it may be something to consider. We have two large dogs that are extremely messy eaters. We have used raised bowls in the past to help them with eating, but we ended up with water up the walls and all across the floors. We love love this feeding dish! When our German Shepherd would drink out of his high bowls water would go down the wall on the tray and under the tray. Was a total mess all the time. We got this feeder and it is wonderful. No more water running down the wall or all over the floor. Well made, nice color and easy to maintain. I was skeptical on buying this. I wasn't totally convinced that it was spill proof. But after reading many reviews I decided to try it. I am completely satisfied and impressed with the neater feeder. I wish I'd known about this bowl system years ago. Previously I just used a small bucket for my dog's water bowl.The plastic was hard to clean and my younger dog loved to tip it over. In my frustration I went looking for a better option and the Neater Feeder is wonderful. I put water in both bowls. The medium size holds plenty of water for several days. So easy to clean and so far no tipping over. I think the wall contruction discourages the youngster from "playing" in the water. I love the catch basin that collects drips and spills. Works great for my dogs. I highly recommend it. Well worth spending a little more for a great solution.3Dogs

These neater feeders are amazing!!! I have 4 dogs. 2 of my own of my daughter's when she's working. Two of them are mastiffs. Well they are very messy eaters drinkers. These thing keeps most of the water inside of it. I put a rug under mine. It's amazing to see what water it does catch when you have to empty it. Great buy when you have dogs.amy.b
TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY! I only put 1 star because there isn't an option for no stars. I bought this for my Adult German Shepherd dog, who weighs about 65 – 70 pounds, (which is in the weight limit) I bought the Large ( which says its for dogs weighing from 35-100+ lbs) The weight limit is NOT even close to what it should be. This Neater feeder holder didn't even come up close to her neck. she had to almost lay down to eat/ drink out of it which is wrong and she shouldn't need to do that. We love the Neater Feeder! My dog, Jax, is around 50 pounds and is classified as a cocker spaniel, so he is not extremely tall. The large version of the Express is perfect for him as far as height. I researched a similar solution for this purpose from different companies. I am glad I chose the Neater Feeder, as the system is of very good quality and is a fair price. I read in some of the reviews that the bowls were not very nice, but I am not sure what was meant, as they are also of good quality. I like the look of this product and I feel it completely gives me everything I was looking for in the way of a pet feeder. This is our second one now that we have 3 cats. We have one for the dry food and one for the water. They are definitely neat and oraganized, unlike my teenage boys who manage to get the dry food all over the top when they are refilling the bowls. Kinda defeats the purpose, right? You have to remember to clean the bottom part regularly for the water because stuff sits for days and gets all yucky. The only thing the cats don’t seem to like is if you let the stainless steel bowls sit (and don’t wash the bowls out every other day), it develops a film and apparently changes the taste of the water. The cats quit drinking much if it gets to that point. When you are super busy, things like this are easy to overlook.Sherrilee
I am very pleased with the fact that the Neater Feeder has been helpful in keeping water off my floor. It is a nice looking feeding station and easy to clean. I think the concept for this product was great… a product much needed. Upon receiving my unit I was surprised to not see the unit and bowls wrapped for protection and what I did find was a unit that was a bit scuffed u and two damaged bowls. Honestly, I felt the bowls were thin and cheaply made. The positive note is that once I contacted customer service, they responded promptly and then sent out two new bowls very quickly. They were both pleasant and efficient to deal with… not easy to find that kind of customer service these days, so I much appreciated this about this family owned business. Unfortunately I still had issues with the unit and mostly with the bowls. When the new bowls came, I immediately washed them and proceeded to dry them… I was surprised to see black on the cloth I was using to dry them. I washed them again, filled them up and put them down for the pets (I use both for water only). Shortly afterwards as I passed the bowls the water didn't look right to me… like there were little specks in the water. I immediately took them up and emptied them only to find there was some type of residue if I rubbed with my finger. I proceeded to use my own bowls, not a perfect fit but they work. As for the unit itself, I feel it too could be better made. The two separate pieces don't exactly sit well into each other and the unit then tends to wobble a wee bit, but once I put the filled water bowls in it and placed on a small area rug, it eliminates that wobble. All in all I think the concept behind this product is great… something truly needed. I just wish the unit was a bit more refined and that the bowls were of better quality. I would prefer to pay less for the unit and purchase better bowls on my own. As I mentioned, I am using my own bowls since I'm not sure these bowls may turn out to be a health concern.Linda P.

I am using this for a 75 lb doberman. It is a good height for her and it's nice to have her food and water together. She can be messy at times and this is easy to wipe clean. The bowls go in and out easily, but what I have done is place her old food bowl inside the stainless steel one. It is smaller in diameter and fits right inside the one that came with the feeder. It has the added advantage of catching additional spills. My only complaint would be that the feeder is light weight and can be easily scooted around on a tile floor. Her's is right up next to the side of the fridge which prevents it from moving around. This was a good value for the price.wtr8one
This is exactly the right height for my standard poodle. I did not realize that the bowls would fit into cut out holes with no bottom, so you have to have exactly the right sized bowl. Also, double check the measurements – this thing is HUGE. Happy that my 11 year old poodle does not have to bend over to eat any more.Donna M.

We absolutely love our needer feeder systems. We have the largest Deluxe for our large standard poodles, we have a medium for our small standard poodle, and the smallest systems for our puppies. These bowls are great, our only dilemma is the website absolutely in no way makes it easy to determine which bowls go with which systems! We need something that makes it crystal clear which bowl you would need to buy for each system when you want additional bowls… It is always hit-or-miss, and results in disappointment upon rcvg our packages. …Like the slow feeder, is it supposed to fit any of the systems? Because it does not fit ours. It is very nice that there are deeper bowls and more shallow bowls available depending on what your needs are for each dog. And whether it is for food or water. But again, if I have to spend 2 to 3 times the money every time I want to order additional bowls because I have to order all different sizes this is not very helpful to me. So I really hope this feedback will help you revamp the descriptions on your bowls so each bowl will tell you exactly which system's hole they will fit into. Great product, not so great customer service. I purchased the Neater Feeder with slow feed bowl and my dog wouldn’t/couldn’t eat from the slow feed bowl. While this set costs more than the standard bowl, I could not get them to exchange for a normal bowl. Their only solution was to send the whole set back and reorder leaving me with no bowls until they came back. Ended up having to pay additional to get the regular bowl and now have a slow feed bowl that will never be used. Not a very customer friendly solution!Michael C.

Like others have said it is kind of cheaply made. I had bend some of steel to keep pin in for lid. I think I got that fixed. The magnets don’t always latch on level ground so I raised the back about 1/2” and door does catch with the magnets every time. However, magnets are not very strong. I think it would keep mice out but I don’t think a big rat would have problem budging open the door. I may add a strip of magnets on each side to be a little more difficult to open for rats. Hoping this works good for my livestock guardian dogs.Sharonco
Great idea, poorly executed. Ordered this feeder in store, with the help of an associate and the item was delivered to the store the next day. Unfortunately, it took another 6 days (I had the tracking number) for the store to email me it was ready to pick up. The box was clearly damaged, yet no one thought to open it up and view that the feeder was also damaged. I opened the box while still in the store so the employees could witness. The feeders load door was bent at one corner so the lid wouldn't function as it should. The lower door would get stuck in the open position and there were three rivets that were pulled through the light gauge sheet metal. I made this purchase for the occasional out of town travel and was leaving town that same day I received this item. So, re-ordering and waiting another 6+ days was out of the question. Was I offered a discount for the damaged merchandise? No. They put me in a spot, so I took it and made the needed repairs to the lid, door, drilled out and installed new pop rivets. I cannot recommend this feeder in good faith.walla2k5
We bought this feeder for 5 dogs, different ages, breeds and sexes. We rescue and foster on a regular basis and needed something for automatic or self feeding on few occasions. It is very hard for them to use. Most of the dogs have to lay down to eat. We have been through several types of food trying to solve the issue of the food not being able to fall down enough for the dogs to get to it. It is extremely loud when they stick their heads in and out to feed. We were really disappointed with the product. We researched and bought from our local store. We were unable to take the product back, even for store credit. We are currently in the process of trying to build a stand in order to work around the dogs laying down to eat as well as being able to knock it over. and 4 dogs later, its still going strong! I have always had big/older dogs so elevated bowls are the standard in my house. Paid a lot for it back then, now it's a steal. I've never used the storage space for food though, since I buy the 50-55lb bags. It's not air-tight anyway so they should probably market it differently on that, I think. I store all my extra collars/leashes and toys in it instead. None of my dogs have ever gotten into it or flipped it. I love that I'm able to use the actual unit inside and leave the metal bowls outside in the summer. You basically have 4 bowls. No signs of rust on those at all. I'm very happy I found it on here today since I never see them in the stores anymore, which made me think they were discontinued. I'll be ordering another for our newest addition, a 1yo boxerX. We have had this exact feeder for years and absolutely love it! We have 50-70 lbs. Standard Poodles and it really helps with digestion. ADDITIONALLY, the storage area holds well over a week of kibble so we just load it up and take off for vacations. After 4 dogs (and 2 kids not being careful,) the nibs have finally broken off so it can only be set at the lower level. Perfectly ok but, vacations… I'm ordering a new one right now and over the moon at finding it again!!! Also, I think I paid only $2 less all those years ago! I got this dog bowl because my puppy was having issues and we noticed he was throwing up. Our vet recommended putting the food up higher so he wasn’t eating at such a strange angle. He’s a rescue so we’re not sure how big he’s going to get, the slightly raise level is great now. One of the most frustrating things buying stuff that they grow out of so quickly, so I love that this is adjustable and could come at an even higher height.Zemma
I bought this feeder for my Great Dane puppy. It works great when you don’t need the legs. Once I started using the legs, they continually fell off. The tallest setting would stay up with the slightest pressure. The middle setting is a little better, but as you can see in the picture, the leg falls off causing food and water to spill.
