Navy Blue Dog Harness For Sale (2024 Update)

I've tried numerous harnesses and never loved any until this one. I have a miniature rat terrier who is 13.5 lbs. He tends to be too big for mediums and way too small for large sizes. Finally, this harness fits perfectly in Medium! There's even a little room to spare in case he gets larger. We wanted to take off pressure from his neck and the v neck design and light weight, soft mesh is great! It's by far the softest one I've ever felt, and I've tried every one at multiple stores. It's so comfortable that it could be left on all the time even in summer since it's so breathable. My dog lives it too! He seems to feel safe and calmer in it like a thunder shirt makes him feel. The first time I took him on a walk he seemed to feel "free". He was so happy to pounce around without worrying about a jerk in his neck. We give this one 5 stars!!!! I got this in black, size medium from Amazon. She has a 12" neck and a 19" chest. This harness is adjustable around both neck and chest. My pup has a high chase drive and will sometimes pull suddenly. I like that the x-shape doesn't put as much pressure on her throat when she pulls, and the double d-rings and buckle closure feel very secure for her leash. My dog learned to step into the harness on her own if we hold it up for her, too. Very good quality materials that will last a long time.lianna.b

at the suggestion of my neighbor I bought this harness.Online store availability says it was available at the store. Went to this store they did not have the medium size (strike 1). I got small because the last harness I got at Petco last week in a medium was WAY TOOOO big. (which I am unable to return $35 gone). (strike 2 ) Even tho this one is advertised online for $14.99 at the store it was $21.99 and the team member did not know anything about it being lower online. (strike 3) same SKU number on receipt as listed in the online description. ( and unable to return this item as well.Store policy )My fault I should have taken my little buddy with to measure before buying.Now I've $57 un unusable harnesses. This is an excellent harness vest. We have a very small Rat Terrier and while it is light weight enough for him to carry, it is very, very sturdy. The materials used in this harness vest appear to be of top quality. The velcro strap has a rounded border sewn on which makes it stay nice and flat and it doesn't pick up much debris. The snap buckle opens easily and is attached to the vest with heavy duty straps. All-in-all this is the nicest harness vest I have seen on the market. It was very reasonably priced for the quality and it is really going to hold up for a long time.djpsait

Our maltipoo Watson always seemed to be in between sizes when we would buy him harnesses at the local pet stores, nothing ever seemed to fit him right and he would always manage to slip out of them making walks very stressful. I found this harness and liked the fact that it had 2 fasteners; 1 clip and 1 velcro and seemed to be more adjustable than our previous harnesses so I purchased it. We were not at all disappointed. The harness fits our little guy perfect and seems to be more comfortable for him to wear. If we ever need a new harness in the future this is definitely the one we will be purchasing again.Jen L.

My Pug has several Puppia harnesses and a cute coat which a size L always fit her, even with nonstrectchable material. However, this harness was so small it would not even meet halfway under her chest. Pugs do have larger necks and chests than similar size dogs, which is why she normally fits into a size L from Puppia. Regarless of your dog's breed/build, you will still need at least one size larger for this harness (in this case I would hope that two sizes larger might fit, if they carry an XXL) Unfortunately, dog.com does not provide a return shipping label, and I was not able to print a label at home, because I am in the process of moving and will not have my printer until after their 30-day return policy. I am also disabled and cannot drive to a post office, As a last resort, I called and explained the situation and they were very accomodating and fair by extending the return period for a refund, as long as the vest is in new condition.Donadela

As I previously stated I bought two of these harnesses in two different sizes. A small and a medium as I was not sure which would work. The small is a great fit for my 13 lb Shih Tzu. But this is summer and she is shaved down. I am going to use the medium size for winter to go over her sweaters and coats. She is also is not shaved down for colder weather so I tend to buy larger sizes for the colder seasons. Besides the price was great.Marlene D

This is the best harness I have ever had for my lil shih tzu/yorkie mix. The only thing is he does not like me having to put his legs thru it and does not like anything being put over his head other than that its awesome! Absolutely love it! Bought this harness when I (and family) adopted our new retriever mix and were required to get a martingale harness as part of the adoption agreement. We've had him for just over two weeks now and I’m disappointed to discover that the straps of the harness we bought then have frayed dramatically at several points in such a short time; including one point at which a key strap is holding on by just a few threads! It seemed to fit relatively well during the time we have been using it. I’ve seen discussion that this kind of thing starts with a nick in the side of the strap, that must somehow have been caused by the dog chewing and/or scratching. As part of our work to train our dog, we’ve been very aware of his overall behavior, especially when going for walks. He’s not a puppy and never actively scratched or bit at the harness to our knowledge but, of course, it’s not impossible that this might have happened once or twice. I do question, however, the value of a dog harness that is unable to stand up to that kind of treatment.RalphtheDog

My Luna is a 2yr old black lab-pitbull mix. She's husky, friendly, and a puller when she's on a lead. Having a harness that helps with the pulling is a blessing. She loves going on walks but will drag you down the sidewalk. Since using the easy walk harness regularly, she has much better behaved. The easy walk harness goes around her chest and back and has a leash attachment on the front. This design takes the pressure off of her neck and shoulders, making it more comfortable for her to walk without pulling. This no pull harness is great for any dog that you have pulling problems with. It allows you to walk your dog without worrying about pulling on a collar or harness with a top buckle. The harness is very easy to adjust and put on your dog. It has two snap buckles for easy release. The leash attachment is on the chest area where you walk your dog from. My dog is 65 pounds and sometimes will pull when she sees other animals or people. This really does control the pulling and makes it easy for me to lead her. This is a great harness if you are looking for a solution for your dog that pulls. It is also great for those dogs that don't. It is good for both you and your pet.peewee09

I bought this as a lighter weight / easier fit harness than my Ruffwear as I wanted something easier to put on. This harness is very well made and comes in a great range of colours. It has a chest attachment as well as one on the back. The harness secures over the head with a clip either side of the backpiece. No need to lift a leg to fit. The fittings seem very good quality. The adjustment buckles for size are very stiff and it can take a while to get the fit just right. The upside of this is that the harness is secure and I can be confident that the adjusters will not slip. The reflective stitching is also very effective. Size M fits my 23" whippet very well. Delivered on time, the harness looks good quality material. I did have to sew some material around the straps as it was rubbing underneath. Edited.! Unfortunately my dog can no longer wear this harness. Due to causing red inflamed sores under his armpits. I have gotten the correct fitting and adjusted the straps. I have purchased several harnesses for my Mal-Shih in her 2 1/2 years. My all time favorite is the Puppia brand and this specific mesh version. The neon pink is SO pretty and Charlee definitely stands out as we take our walks. I have this harness in the neon pink and in bright yellow (not neon). Knowing that I love this particular Puppia harness, I also ordered the sky blue color for her. This brand and the mesh version is second to none! Charlee is 11 lbs and wears size Medium.Jannice P

First the Pros: this harness is durable and I have no doubt it is strong and durable enough to hold my 70lb pittie when needed. It also does a great job of keeping her from pulling when using the chest loop. We love the Ruffwear brand and I (and my dogs) love the sweaters/clothing as they are always cold in temps below 70°. Cons: I watched the video on fitting the harness and every single walk results in raw skin/bleeding/scabs under her armpits (she has very thin fur on her underside) due to the material of the harness rubbing in this area. I also find the buckles a bit difficult to unclip as they are partially hidden inside the attachment area which means you have to squeeze the buckle through the thick harness material to release the clasp. Because of my love of their other products and the front clip feature, I may try to put some padding or softer material in the underarm area to see if that helps.Melissa S.

For the most part I really like this harness. The construction seems sturdy and the color is nice, and it’s very easy to get on and off. That said, I think it could be improved by lengthening the body (the neck to back, if you will). I have two mixed breed dogs who are very similar in shape, size, and weight. I purchased two of these harnesses, one in extra small and one in small. The small is overall a bit too large around, and the small (although ok for girth) is way too short. I am always trying to keep an eye on their underarms and backs of their elbows to make sure they aren’t getting raw spots. I’ve seen the same issue in other reviews, so I don’t think it’s just my dogs. I would also love it if you could purchase extenders in different sizes, because I think often a smaller size is better all around, but doesn’t extend in girth quite enough, while the next size up is too big. The good still outweighs the not perfect though, and I keep coming back to Ruffwear to buy different styles of harnesses!Samantha N.

I saw this harness at my local REI and without knowing anything about the brand or how it would impact my life, I knew it was “cute”. I bought it for my mischievous lab puppy who weighed around 50 lbs at the time, solely for that reason. The cute factor. I then came here and ordered the Ruffwear Knot-a-leash rope dog leash to match. We used the harness and leash combo for about a week, when my fearless puppy decided to show me how well it works. I was driving on the freeway, and while waiting in traffic to exit on the off ramp, I opened my back windows for her to get some fresh air. She was clipped to a cheap “doggie seatbelt clip” so she was secure, or so I thought. I hadn’t noticed that she had un-clipped herself from the seatbelt until the moment I saw her jump right out the car window, and disappear from my view. She wasn’t trained at the time and would make a run for it anytime possible. I panicked picturing my dog running into freeway traffic and being hit, but to my disbelief I found her hanging off the car window, being securely help in place by this harness and the rope leash that was still inside the car. The impact of her weight combined with the momentum of the jump, did nothing but dent the locking system of the carabiner shut, and held her weight without letting her escape or even touch the ground for that matter, and not a single rip happened to either the harness or the leash otherwise. This “expensive, but cute” dog accessory prevented my dog from a terrifying death that would have surely happened had she not been wearing both of these incredible, life-saving items. I have three of these harnesses for my medium poodle, and I bought this one for my friends miniature poodle. It really doesnt stop pulling, but its very easy to take on and off and is very comfortable for the dog.itsrainingshoes

I have a 6 lb puppy, 3 months old. I have been trying various harnesses. This seem to be the best as far as a step in harness. It seems my pup has a short neck so the over the head harness comes to close to his chin and he is able to get his mouth around the top. This harness is a step in harness easier to get on. However, since it is an XS it could have been a little narrower around the paw holes. It seems to come right up to the shoulder joint. Also the "D" hooks for the leash do not lay flat if you are at the tightest fit. Because of that, I remove the harness while indoors, especially when playing with other pups. It could get caught on furniture or hurt the other pup.lashepa5

This harnass lasted exactly three minutes. I put it on my dog, adjusted it, and she chewed it for a second and it completely tore. The company acknowledges that it can not withstand even a quick nip from your dog. Ridiculously poor quality. Their answer is for you to spend another 12.99 for a warranty to get another harnass which will do the same thing. Awful product that is expensive. Dismissive and unethical customer service. There are many other good options for harnesses out there. Save your money and aggravation .Kerri R

I really like the product. The two connection points give me more control over my reactive dog. A few months after purchase I noticed some of the nylon was unraveling near one of the box stitches. I contacted the company and provided pictures and they replaced it right away. Great product and great service.

Just know that this isn’t a miracle product that will completely stop your dog from pulling. It’s not a replacement for training. YOU as the owner have to teach your dog proper leash manners. But if you want more control, or you have a reactive dog, I definitely recommend this.Rachel Cormier

Great fitting harness and the adjustable neck section is great . I've had other harnesses in the past and whilst they fit my English Staffordshire around the body I found they got to a point where they were difficult to get on and off over his big lump of a head . Overall a great product and I'll definitely look at getting the bigger one once he outgrows this one .Scott M

I have a 70lb Xoloitzcuintli (Mexican Hairless). I purchased both the Hurtta Cooling Coat and the Swamp Cooler Dog Vest by Ruffwear. Both are made from similar material and work the same way. The Hurtta coat has much more coverage, has extended hind end flaps and front chest flaps, resembles a horse jacket. Whereas the Ruffwear is more of a fitted vest. I would have given the Hurtta Cooling Coat 5 stars however, the stitching that secured the chest strap isn't reinforced and tore out of the material the first time used. I then outfitted the dog in the Ruffwear Swamp Vest, which worked beautifully. Since my dog is hairless it was easy to feel how well the vest worked. Placing my hand on exposed skin, then touching skin under the vest, there was a noticeable difference in temperature however his skin was dry – just cooler. I have stitched the Hurtta strap back on and feel it will be equally as good if not better than the Ruffwear due to it's increased surface area.Laura

I got one of these for each of my dogs, along with matching leashes. I was really excited for them but not in love once they finally arrived. Partially my fault – when I saw reviews mentioning the new neck clip, I thought that meant they had added it to every color, not just the new bright yellow. Unfortunately I don't like that color, and the lack of a neck clip on the ones I got is REALLY annoying. It's just too much effort to loosen and tighten the neck multiple times a day when I want to walk my dogs. For now I'm only using it on the dog that pulls more on walks, or when they both need to ride in the car, and I'm looking for a replacement for the meantime. If they add neck clips to the other colors I'd definitely repurchase though. The other small but annoying issue is that the fabric "wings" of the harness aren't attached to the straps if that makes sense – it's only sewn together in the center. That means that despite how soft and comfy the material it is, it tends to slip out from underneath the straps while my dog walks. I can easily fix this with a few stitches but I feel like it shouldn't be necessary. The good parts: the fabric is really soft and smooth and lightly padded so it seems very comfy, and the colors are great.Molly C.

I realllllly wanted to love the Wild Ones walk kit I got. I like my leash, albeit a little heavy and I love the poop bags – they're luxurious to the touch but feel substantial when picking up messes. also the bag holder is luxe too and very sturdy. The harness is so cute on my little 10 lb maltese mutt puppy but unfortunately, he absolutely hates the neck part sliding over his face. he has a meltdown and is aggravated every time. some of the newer Wild One colors have the feature where the neck buckles similarly to the chest part (this came out after I ordered mine) but honestly, it should just be standard across all the colors. Maybe that's the plan after they sell out of inventory, but until that is the case, I won't be replacing the harness when my pup grows out of the XS. I bought a step-in harness of Amazon that has done the trick and both me and my pup have much chiller walk times because of it. Still love the leash and poo bags/holder!Clareen

I was so excited to receive the harness – it seemed like a huge upgrade from the old one I bought from Tractor Supply that my dog was using. Well. It took twice as long as expected to arrive which is ridiculous when I paid for shipping. The shipping fees were refunded, but I had purchased the item with the intent to use it by a specific date which didn’t happen since it didn’t arrive until MUCH later. When it finally did show up the package was ripped almost completely open and the packaging of the product was all messed up which is also ridiculous. Alright it’s here, looks like **** but it’s here. It’s a much brighter blue than I expected which I like. It took a little while to figure out how to adjust as the ends were so firmly tucked into the harness I thought I was going to break it. Finally got it on and adjusted and “Meh”. It’s not deep enough (front to back) in my opinion, and my dog is not an odd or unusual shape. I do like that it covers less surface area, she appears to stay cooler (but a double coated black dog in the humid Midwest is always hot). It does sag when wet (which is almost always as she swims regularly) BUT it dries and goes back to the original fit which is a pro I guess. I say I guess because I didn’t expect a harness I paid over $80 to sag at all when wet but ‍♀ It doesn’t show any wear yet which it shouldn’t for only having it 2 weeks. It does shift like crazy. Not as bad as the cheap tractor supply one, but again I expected ZERO shifting from the $80+ harness. Honestly I probably won’t buy again. I was super excited to find a harness with everything I wanted: reflectors (which the ones on this harness ****, seriously for $80 y’all couldn’t put reflective piping on all edges?!), a handle on the back, bright blue, goes over the head/ NOT a step through and had a back leash clip. But honestly I’m pretty disappointed. There is a lot of room for improvement in what I consider an expensive harness (more reflective piping, padding under the middle set of buckles, better fit, better choice of shipping carriers). I’m not going to get rid of it and it does fit better than the Tractor Supply but I don’t absolutely love it like I hoped.Seva P.

My girl discovered early on that she can back out of her harness in a heartbeat. She can't back out of the Flagline harness (yay!) and – more importantly – if needed, I can pull on the leash / harness without fear of hurting her. (There have been a couple times when we've encountered dogs who are too friendly — having the Flagline harness on my girl made it much easier to pull her back to a safe distance without fear of hurting her or having the harness pop off at a bad time.) The harness is easy to put on / take off. It's strong. The reflective trim helps make her more visible. The adjustable straps make it easy to size up during the winter time when she's got winter coat(s) to accommodate. Having clips for closure is so much nicer than harnesses with velcro closures. (Velcro closure doesn't last long – and trying to wash anything with velcro – oy veh!) The price was a little more than I thought I'd spend for a harness – but having a harness I can trust and that will last is worth every penny. 100% recommend!Karen G.

The harness is super adjustable and fits my pups barrel chest so well! We wanted the waist clip as the single rib clip always slipped off or got loose and it wasn’t enough security for us. We also really love the handles! The front loop works super well to mitigate some pulling (pups only 8 months old) and my favorite feature is the inner material that rests on his body, it’s not mesh or fabric that his short coat sticks into so his hair isn’t being rubbed off or sticking in the harness getting stuck in cracks and making it itchy or difficult to clean. This harness is also super easy to wash and I really love the hardy materials on this harness. Wish it came in orange but the grey works just as well on our pup! This harness just fits Róka so well and I’m so pleased with it!!!! It fits and contours to his whole body and moves with him when he’s moving around! I bought this harness about a month or so ago for my Plotthound Lab Mix! This harness is a very great quality harness and my dog is comfortable and happy in it! He is a working dog so this harness is great for when we are on the move or running! The neck area has a bit of stretch to it so if we need to make a sudden stop and it pulls on him he wont be choked! It has a pretty good wide open space for working dog patches or stickers! I have 2 other dogs and this harness is still standing! Overall I rate this harness a 5 stars! Totally Recommend!Alexis1234

Our pittie is about 30 pounds and he is not even done growing. He is full of energy and excitement when we go for walks, so it’s extremely imperative for me to have a harness that I can rely on for sturdiness to hold him steady. What I love about this harness is, just that! I had an incident before with a dog jacket that had a built-in harness – forget about it! He saw another pittie who was as playful, slipped right through it and started running. Imagine my fear. Now that I have this great harness by EasySport, I am very confident that it will never happen again. The relief is immense. Despite my dog tugging his leash at times, this harness is so comfortable for him. Not a trace of skin redness caused from it even after all that craziness he does. Trust me, my pittie is strong and yet, it’s a piece of cake for this harness! Not a slight sign of wear and tear. This thing is built to last. I love that he will grow into this in time as well, because the upper limit on ours is 50 pounds. Perfect! Also, there is a nice handle on the back of the harness – so well sewn. Keep your dog stable by holding onto it, when needed. Even someone in a small build like myself can have great control due to the well-thought out design. I have been using the EasySport Medium Harness for about a month now. I live by the Dunes on Lake Michigan and take our puppy there several times a week. She is about forty five pounds and has quite a bit of energy. When first trying this on her I noticed I was able to loosen the straps. It was very easy and took seconds to loosen. The fit was perfect and she seemed very comfortable. I noticed the straps were thicker and when she pulled, I wasn’t worried the straps would break. While walking through the dunes, some of the pathways can be very narrow. I am training her to stay at my side while other hikers walk by. Having that strap at the top has made it even easier to train her to stay. Now all I have to do is tap the top and she knows to sit. The convenience of the strap and the padding added for comfort are two huge added bonuses for us. Our puppy is very active and while walking her in public I need to trust that I have the best products. I need to be able to rely on our leashes and harnesses so we can enjoy our walks with no worries. This harness has been fantastic. When she pulls too much or gets excited and runs, I know that the harness won’t break. I do believe I will need to size up soon. I ordered a medium and I think it fits very well. I am sure after a few more months of growing though that I will need the large. I will be purchasing the next size up when she’s ready. If this harness can withstand my puppies energy, it is tough enough for any dog!JoeFav

This Voyager dog harness is great for my pup! I am training him to walk on a leash and this is so helpful so that I don’t pull on his neck. I got the size XXS for him as he was 4 lbs. He is now almost 8 lbs and it still fits him but I am going to buy another one in a bigger size so I can keep it until he is fully grown. They are adjustable so I will probably get size Small. I abdolutely feel in love with this harness (by far the easiest to get onto my puppy). I love is so much that I jought 6 of them in the past 4 months. Why did I need to buy so many one may ask…becauae that is how many the puppy chewed through in that period of time. I ended up switching brands after the 6th one. The ease of the new one does not compare but the duribilty was just not there for us on this particular harness. If you dont have a chewer it is highly recommendedMooncat84

My Dodo and I love this harness! He seems to be comfortable all day long no matter what we do? Only downside is we live in Las Vegas so on the very hot days I prefer him in a more breathable type of harness. Other than that I definitely recommend this harness. The medium Kurgo harness fits my 23 pound dog well. The harness itself is incredibly sturdy – I was actually surprised by how “heavy” it is. The blue color is nice and the reflective material is an added bonus. The harness slips on over the dog’s head then buckles closed on each side. So far, it has been very easy and fast to put it on and take it off my dog. The leash clips are positioned in such a way (middle of back) that makes it easy to walk the dog without her choking herself (a problem we have with our old harness) from pulling. The harness is a bit stiff, however, so it’s not good for car rides where dog needs to lie down for long periods. The only concern we have is the loops to clip the leash to don’t seem as sturdy as the rest of the harness. The are a thinner aluminum that bends easily. Overall, I am impressed with this harness and recommend it.Ndanip

I love Kurgo products and think they are great quality, but was disappointed in this harness. If you have a barrel chested dog and want to attach a leash to the front D ring (my pup is a puller, so that was the whole reason we bought this), I wouldn't recommend this harness. I have a 14 month old standard poodle (45 lbs) and we bought a medium as she fit smack dab in the middle of those measurements. Unfortunately, the harness just doesn't fit deep-chested dogs. The neck opening is weirdly large and can't be tightened very much so after adjusting the harness to fit her, the front D ring ended up right between her front legs. We couldn't attach a leash to the front ring because she would stumble over it while we walked. Seems like Kurgo could fix this pretty easily by just moving the front D ring higher to be closer to the neck opening, but unfortunately not easy to fix/solve the issue at home. We'll be donating this as it unfortunately doesn't work for us.torvinn

My boyfriend has the Nylon Reflective Journey Air Dog harness (M), which looks like this harness mixed with the Tru-fit harness kind of. I have this Journey Air Dog harness (M) for my GSD/husky mix. We have a couple of issues with this specific model of the Journey harness. She has an athletic build with a pretty deep chest that is also narrow as heck, and due to the longer padding on the top of the chest piece, I'm unable to adjust it enough so that it fits her well. It renders the front D-ring useless, as the harness will pull to the side of her body loosely. Unfortunately, sizing down would mean that it would not be able to fit around the deepest part of her ribcage. The other issue I have with this harness is that I'm nervous it chaffs the back of her armpit area. It's pretty snug up against the backs of her legs–maybe even too snug. I would size up, but then that would exacerbate the issue with the front. I'm almost certain it's an unpleasant experience for her as she runs away when I so much as pick up the harness. I brought up the fact that my boyfriend has this type of harness (but a different/earlier model) because I am able to adjust that one well to my dog. None of the issues present in my harness are present in the other one, likely because of the smaller chest padding. I would go to the Tru-Fit harness for my pup, but we go hiking a bunch, and the handle on the back is a must-have. What is probably the most upsetting is that I cannot find this other model of harness in stock and in the size we need anywhere as of today. I simply cannot recommend this harness if your pup has a narrow chest.2dogs1cat
