I actually bought these as litter-catching trays to go under the cat boxes. I have an old cat who sometimes misses and even when he doesn't, he has a habit of tracking litter everywhere. I've been looking for a large, flat shallow tray to go under the box and these are perfect. I bought the medium-sized tray. I was expecting cheap-ish plastic but these are more rubberized and much better quality than I expected. Very happy with them. I'm sure they'd work great in crates as well.Elissa
I bought this as a replacement due to my original one cracking. It seems to be holding up really well. The only downside to this product is the fact that I bought the wrong size. I ordered the 30 inch pan. It came in a box that says 27 inch pan. The problem is that the width is only 18 1/2 inches leaving at least 2 inches where it is too short for the crate. I am not sure how to make sure I get one to fit. My Midwest Kennels are in great shape but older. I am trying to find the right size to order. Have to have one at least 20 inches wide. I have used kennels in the past without the grid flooring and I will not do that again. We bought this due to the fact that our little guy will have times when we have to be away and can't be there to take him out frequently. I could not stand the thought of him sitting in where he had relieved himself and then having to clean him and the cage before we could even play after being away all day. I bought him a little bed to go in one side and the other side is open so he can relieve himself. Being 7 weeks old I was not sure he would figure this out so soon, but Boston's are smart. I work the night shift on weekends and this is a MUST. We bought the bowls that attach to the side so he has water and some hard food and he gets out of his bed, goes and relieves himself and then climbs back in the bed to play and nap. I have Midwest pens and Precision pens. I apparently did not read all that was included and ordered two pans to go under the 48 x 48 pen. I was surprised when there were two pans in with the initial puppy pen order. I also did not realize when ordering a pan, I got two and not just one. So my order of pans came separately which included two pans each. I did not need the additional 4 pans and got a Return Authorization to return them. However shipping was $66.00 and I paid about $70 for the two sets of pans so did not return them and have no idea what to do with them now. Very frustrating.LJDTB
I have been using Puppy Playpens for approx. 12 yrs.They are ideal for puppies once they are weaned. Keeps puppies clean and safe and gets them use to a crate before leaving, making crate training allot easier for new puppy parents. If you are needing to purchase a new dog crate, this is the brand and model I highly recommend. Midwest had several levels of crates but I have found that you cannot go wrong purchasing the Lifestage's model. They are solidly made and last forever. I always purchase the double door crates. They have cheaper models & more expensive ones too. I would not recommend their icrate as they are cheaper but they are also not had solidly made as the Lifestage's. Spend the extra $10-$15 and purchase the Life Stages model. It is well worth the money. I have had great success purchasing there crates at Petco.com. I always receive my items within a couple of days. It is also nice when you have a Petco store nearby where you live. If you have any issues with the merchandise you received, they have always been very accommodating and made sure they did whatever was necessary to correct the problem, return the merchandise at a full refund and/or replaced the item. I just received this crate a couple of days ago for my Saint Bernard mix pup. The size is perfect and he has tons of room to grow in it. The doors latch nicely and the crate is very sturdy. We received this very fast! The only downfall I had with this purchase was that when we removed it from the box and set it up, there was a decent sized crack (all the way through) on the tray. I won't be replacing the tray as I've spent enough on this crate. And fortunately for me, my 5 month old pup doesn't have accidents in his crate, but I'm sure if others received this, they would not be happy.tsjackie
I had been looking at the end table style crates thinking that would look nicer and less bulky then the 4' x 4' X-pen I have in my living room. But, comfort is the main criteria and I wanted my Whippets to feel they could stand and dig through a deep pile of bedding, so I went with this crate. I like to rearrange the furniture so I bought the double door style to keep my options open. For my two Whippets I bought the 42" x 28" size which has been more then enough room for them to lay side by side or end to end. It arrives flat, but you just fold out the sides and it is ready to go. It came with a handle so it could be 'portable', but at this size it is heavy and I don't plan to take it anywhere, so I didn't attach that. I left the X-Pen up for them while they made the transition, but they hopped into the new crate the minute I put it up and haven't been back in the X-Pen (even though it still has more bedding in it). The black wire instantly looked better then the metal of the X-Pen and I'm staining a piece of wood I put trim molding around for the top (I had it cut to size at Home Depot) so I'll have an end table style look, but the height and comfort the pups want for their 'cave.' Very happy and buying a second one to have at the office for the days they come to work with me. Both crates and the wood top are costing less then the end table style crate, so all three of us are happy!psh1

We have a Great Dane that weighs 185lbs and he is quite lanky and tall, so finding something that accomodates him was not easy. This crate fits the bill. If I had to find a negative, it would be that he has to lay corner to corner in order to stretch out; but if he curls up, he is fine.This crate is going to take up ALOT OF ROOM! We knew when we ordered it that it was huge, but after it was set up, it was still a little shocking to see how much space it took up. If space is at a premium in your house, I would actually measure out how much room this crate will use before you order it, because I think you will be surprised!That being said, we are very pleased with it. It is exactly what we expected and is perfect for our Great Dane. It shipped to us within a week. Don't forget to purchase the crate tray, as they are sold separately and do not come with the crate. This kennel is HUGE! and totally worth the money (which is the best price out there) It is perfect for our Mastiff it gives him plenty of space to lay down and stretch out. and he still has room to grow. Delivery was super fast. It did take two of us to put it together but it wasn't hard It only took about 15 minutes. The only issue we had was that the front panel with the door the top clips are backwards so it doesn't hold the top like it should (you can't set anything on the top or it sags a little bit) so we just put a zip tie on it and it works great. I'm positive they would send us a new one if we requested it but it doesn't impair the structural integrity of the kennel so we didn't bother to ask. Other than that it is great and very sturdy Which we needed it to be cause our boy is a rough and tumble gentle giant with tons of puppy energy.morningstar2000
Be warned that these are a nightmare, the sizes quoted are wrong and they do not match the crate sizes stated. Why they sell them by the length of the crate when they need to fit across the width is beyond me but we had to get the 76 cm to get the right width for the 91 cm crate and it still didn't fit. Also they are too tight top to bottom so you can't remove a mattress for washing without taking it out. Poor design all round.Janet

So thankful for this crate set. It came just in time for us to take a last minute 8-10 hour round trip. I was glad to be able to leave our pup at home with food and water! Purchased the 48” and the bowls are giant! Great for lots of water but silly looking for only 1-1.5 cups of dry food. My pup does try to chew it a bit but so far no damage. I did have to remove the bed because he was clawing it and eating the fibers that he pulled off. I did wash the bed and lay in sun to dry. Washed well. Divider easy to use. This is my first ever wire crate. The least likeable part is how easy it is for my kids to open anytime they want. Wish there was a child lock! Haha. Our dog is 55# Lab/Retriver/Spaniel She loves this toy and we use it inside and outside. At first we went through 1 a week and it was terribly expensive from pet stores. I've owned dogs for the last 40 years. I've used MidWest wire crates for my last 4 dogs. This iCrate didn't disappoint. It's sturdy and and easy to put up and take down. I use them when I travel with my dogs too. My dogs only use their crates for sleeping in at night or napping in during the day. During the day, their crate doors are left open. I close the dogs in at night. I don't have an issue with my dogs trying to escape from their crates, so I can't speak to whether or not this would be sturdy enough for a dog that's determined to get out of their crate. These crates are more than sturdy enough for my miniature Schnauzer, Havanese, and Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. All three of my dogs love their MidWest iCrates, as did my previous dog! They go in them voluntarily and when told to "crate up". My only concern with the current crate I ordered is that that one of the latches isn't lined up quite right so it's a bit tight when closing the crate door. I bent it slightly and it works much better. I haven't had that issue with any of the previous MidWest crates I've used. I'm a MidWest crate fan.Eddie09

He was a Parvo pup and barely survived, so rest and his own quiet space was highly recommended for recovery. We first used the divider which was great. However, as he grew, so did his strength. It definitely is not strong enough for large dogs. Even for short amounts of time. At the moment he is 6 months and 60 pounds. Thankfully he did not get out nor hurt himself! I wish I could share photos of how bent up this crate is and the cracked floor liner. IWifeMomLove

I bought a larger cage purposely for him to grow into it. They have a divider which makes the crate smaller if needed. This is definitely worth the price! The ones at the pet store were soooo expensive compared to this one. I almost did not purchase this crate due to the multiple bad reviews. Glqd I purchased it qnyway. Other than the people who recieved damaged or warped crates, I'm not sure why there are so many reviews claiming it is difficult to assemble. I'm 4'11", 90 lbs, had 3 kids under 5 in the same room, and I assembled it alone without any real difficulties. The aforementioned children are in one of the review photos to show the enormity of the crate. The 9 month old Great Dane is in the other photo. Luckily for me, besides a slightly warped top piece, none of my pieces were bent, warped, or broken. Took about 30-40 minutes to assemble. Certainly would have been faster if I'd had someone helping, like the manual recommends.Brooke

It is made better than the original crate pan, however, getting the proper width was a problem. I set the pan inside the old pan or else there would be too much of a gap that my dog could get hurt. Fits perfectly and is of really good quality. It's not a cheap and flimsy replacement; it's pretty thick and rigid. We knew when we ordered it that it was huge, but after it was set up, it was still a little shocking to see how much space it took up. If space is at a premium in your house, I would actually measure out how much room this crate will use before you order it, because I think you will be surprised!That being said, we are very pleased with it. It is exactly what we expected and is perfect for our Great Dane. It shipped to us within a week. Don't forget to purchase the crate tray, as they are sold separately and do not come with the crate. This kennel is HUGE! and totally worth the money (which is the best price out there) It is perfect for our Mastiff it gives him plenty of space to lay down and stretch out. and he still has room to grow. Delivery was super fast. It did take two of us to put it together but it wasn't hard It only took about 15 minutes. The only issue we had was that the front panel with the door the top clips are backwards so it doesn't hold the top like it should (you can't set anything on the top or it sags a little bit) so we just put a zip tie on it and it works great. I'm positive they would send us a new one if we requested it but it doesn't impair the structural integrity of the kennel so we didn't bother to ask. Other than that it is great and very sturdy Which we needed it to be cause our boy is a rough and tumble gentle giant with tons of puppy energy.morningstar2000

I actually bought these as litter-catching trays to go under the cat boxes. I have an old cat who sometimes misses and even when he doesn't, he has a habit of tracking litter everywhere. I've been looking for a large, flat shallow tray to go under the box and these are perfect. I bought the medium-sized tray. I was expecting cheap-ish plastic but these are more rubberized and much better quality than I expected. Very happy with them. I'm sure they'd work great in crates as well.Elissa
I bought this as a replacement due to my original one cracking. It seems to be holding up really well. The only downside to this product is the fact that I bought the wrong size. I ordered the 30 inch pan. It came in a box that says 27 inch pan. The problem is that the width is only 18 1/2 inches leaving at least 2 inches where it is too short for the crate. I am not sure how to make sure I get one to fit. My Midwest Kennels are in great shape but older. I am trying to find the right size to order. Have to have one at least 20 inches wide. The 27 1/2 would work from back to front of crate.Christine3239

This thing is huge! And I love the fact that it comes with a divider so it can be adjusted for our puppy. We ha e a great pyrenees and she is growing like a weed! Being able to change the size is a life saver rather than having to buy a different one every few months for her! Super sturdy as well! As soon as we set it up, she got right on in and played down!
Love this crate It is sturdy, well constructed and easy to fold up and unfold to use. The divider panel is especially convenient. I ordered the 42 inch, and it is big enough for my dog,(half Great Pyrenees and half Golden Retriever), when she gets grown, and now I use the divider and expand it as she grows.
