Zignature is my all time favorite dog food. You can give it to puppies and to senior dogs. It’s a one size fits all kind of brand. When I first moved my pom from the UK to the USA, he developed terrible allergies, to the point he was making himself bleed from scratching and chewing himself. I tried all the top brands and all recommend by my vet none of them worked then finally I found zignature and I haven’t looked back since. My dogs love all the flavors and I switch it up all the time, doing so doesn’t make them sick or anything. It’s literally the best brand.kirsty.h

My daughter's 1.5 yrs old pitbull was chronically sick with horrible skin infections, swollen paws, ear infections. Many visits to the vet and hundreds of dollars only helped temporarily and then all the symptoms would return. She had ballooned to 75 lbs from the rounds of prednisone, her face was swollen and she was in terrible shape. After trying many premium foods and feeling helpless to help Gypsi, we found Zignature and tried the turkey formula. We fed her nothing else. This was about 4 months ago. After about only 1 month, the swelling was gone, her skin started to heal, and she started losing weight. Today, 3 months later, she is a normal, healthy weight of 62 lbs, her coat is beautiful, and most of her symptoms are completely gone. I got this food as I have a Maltese cross with a very delicate digestive system and allergies. I did have her on the Hills prescription diet which helped her, but after reading the list of ingredients it's just a long list of chemicals. I have been concerned for a long time, and it was mentioned to me that single protein turkey is so good for dogs like mine. So I thought I would try this for the bikkies as I already found a wet food made here in Australia and was only struggling with finding dry. So far my dogs like it. In fact I think these must be better tasting or simply crunchier as my chihuahua bites and chews each bikkie and this has helped slow her gutsy behaviour down. So that's good, at least they like it and my Maltese so far is tolerating it. I am mixing them with her original bikkies so far, so let's see how it all goes once they just eat these. ThanksCarol

My dog liked it ok but actually likes the beef better. My problem is the packaging. If we buy the small packages it’s more expense and it doesn’t last long( maybe 3 days for my 12 lb dog.( plus kibble). When I buy the large packages -because they are frozen) my husband has to break it apart with a hammer and divide it up to 4 parts and take 1 part out of the freezer at a time. It’s very expensive but because we have a very picky eater ( who almost died about 8 months ago-and she’s not quite 2yrs old now) we are willing to buy your food but would like better packaging. Might I suggest a large package that divides into 4 break apart sections-so you are able to take 1 part out of the freezer at a time without a hammer?!? Metabolic Support saved my 15lb superstar Maltese. Oscar is 5 years old and was recently diagnosed with diabetes and now blind. My dog has had right side heart failure for 2 years and has become a very picky eater over the last 6-8 months. She was having a lot of tummy troubles with commercial foods available, even the prescription diets specifically for gut health. She has been eating this for almost 2 months now and loves it. It sits well with her tummy, she has a lot less gas and she enjoys the lamb flavor so much!! Love the limited ingredients and the fact that the lamb is pea & potato free as she can’t eat those with her heart disease. I was upset that the food delivered to me was due to expire in less than 3 months. A 50 pound bag of food at the end of it's life is not something I would have purchased. I will not use their delivery method again. I am concerned now of the quality of this food being close to or over a year old before I feed it to my dogs. I have used Canadae for a long time and stand behind the food, just not the "send the oldest bag out to get rid of it" method.I am SMH

I have a 10 year old English Mastiff with various food sensitivities and this dog food was highly recommended to me so we decided to give it a try. I do think that my dog was able to eat the food without any sensitivities however there are 2 unrelated issues with this particular dog food that doesn’t work well at least for my dog. One: the kibble is so tiny that I don’t even think she chews it. She just inhales it and then afterwards will cough and clear it out of her throat and spray a mouthful of unchewed soggy kibble wherever she happens to be! I don’t understand why a kibble made specifically for large breeds is so tiny! Two: this kibble actually gets moldy (and very quickly) when damp. If you’re familiar with a mastiff you understand there is slobber and lots of it! So the area around the food bowl and water bowl is always damp even with a mat underneath. Now I get to pick fuzzy mold covered pieces of kibble off of the food mat which doesn’t seem like a healthy eating environment to me. So for those reasons I can’t recommend this dog food. This dog food is fantastic. WHolesome ingredients, no rubbish fillers, lots of quality supplements including probiotics and good healthy main ingredients. I never notice any problems with the dogs when they are fed this stuff like I with many others (eg skin, ears allergies) and it's already a reasonable price when bought in bulk but I always manage to be able to get it on special of some kind to make it even more affordable. I willingly pay extra for my dogs health anyway. I highly recommend it. The main reason it doesnt get 5 stars is that it does have a few too many carbs and its not Aussie made. But it has no wheat & peas are not a main ingredient so those are more important to me.jacki E.

I received a sample bag of Zignature Multi-Protein Small Bite Dog Food and my furry girl went CRAZY over it. Made from Turkey, salmon, lamb, and duck proteins, it's also chicken free, and potato and grain free. Great for pups with allergies. I got my first dog last year, a mastiff st bernard mix, and as a puppy we started him on the chicken soup for the soul brand large breed puppy food. We recently moved him up to adult food. I did a TON of research on the internet and this brand was pretty highly recommended across the board, I could get my hands on it relatively easily, and it was a good balance of quality vs cost (I mean I'd feed my dog a raw diet if I could afford it). Used Prey Turkey for several years until I opened a new bag and my dog started throwing up her food from the new bag. At the time didn't know it was the dog food took her to a vet and $800 of tests later showed nothing wrong with our dog. Had her on a lamb and rice mix and she was doing fine. While I have already sent a thank you email to the company, I wanted to make sure everyone knew how happy I am with this formula. My 14 1/2 year old shih-poo has always been a very picky eater. A few months ago, she suffered pyometra and spend the better part of 2 weeks in the vet's. They could not get her to eat and I spent everyday there trying to get her to eat. All she wanted was turkey baby food and baked turkey breast. She didn't want any kibble. I requested a sample of the Prey Turkey (our other girls eat the Southwest Canyon), and she could not stop eating it from the moment I offered it to her. I've been using Blue Basics Limited Grain Free Senior dry with great success for my 16-year-old allergic dog for a couple years. When you changed the packaging, you also changed the formulation which caused massive diarrhea. Took several days for me to get it stopped, my carpet is ruined, and even though you make it appear it's the same thing in the picture above it's not when I compared labels. Very unhappy! Luckily, Pet Smart who I purchased it through gave me a refund. But that doesn't replace my carpet or help me with my dog. My senior dog can't eat grains including oatmeal and brown rice.Mad customer

We have 3 dogs and this food has been great! We have a Beagle mix , Old English Bulldog and a French Bulldog. They love the salmon flavor and gobble the food up every day. This food has Good Grains which dogs need. This food takes care of our dogs sensitive skin and stomach issues. We are very happy with this Blue Buffalo dog food. I have switched foods time after time, from Purina Pro Plan to Taste of the Wild when they added grain back to their food to Wellness (purple bag). My dog has a history of heartworm so I became concerned about the potential correlation between grain-free food and DCM. My sweet baby is an 80 pound pit/bulldog mix who has been through his fair share of health issues, stemming from being abused in his young life. That being said, I will do whatever it takes to keep him happy and healthy with a good poop! For some reason, everyone of those foods eventually gave him soft stool and diarrhea frequently, to where we had to wipe after each time. I tried bland diet, then slow intro, slow switches, adding pure pumpkin, probiotics, you name it. The one thing I did notice was that oatmeal made it slightly better. I am extremely thrilled to type that we have been 2 months diarrhea free with “perfect” stools and a hyper/active boy! He goes wild when the Open Farm box is delivered because it smells so yummy. I was looking for a more quality kibble brand when I found Open Farm, after looking into the brand I knew it was too good not to try! I ordered the Turkey and Ancient Grains recipe. I have two dogs, both loved the products immediately. After their transition from the old food to Open Farm I bought some of the other products Open Farm offers. My shepherd mix is crazy for the cod skin treats! I like the fact that Open Farm paired with TerraCycle to recycle their packaging products, it was one of the reasons I chose this brand. Finally a dog food that fits all my criteria! Grain inclusive, no legumes or potatoes, and quality meat ingredients. Actually felt good about giving my dogs this food. Not having to spend hours and hours researching where the ingredients might have come from. I'm extremely picky about the food I give and I tried the fresh food route but it was too expensive for two dogs and did not agree with my girl with a sensitive stomach. I have a couple of really picky eaters and they eat this food just fine. The small kibble size is also ideal I have a 12lb Pomeranian mix and a 36 lbs pit bull mix and I like not having to buy them separate food. My Cats, who have NEVER had anything but live prey or quality wet food, LOVE IT and beg for it as a supplement to their new brand of wet limited ingredient diet. On of my GSDs has allergies that grew to be so bad, she was chewing and licking her paw pads until the bled, scratching her mouth area until it bled, rubbing her nose on the rugs inside or pavement outside until her snout became swollen, and grunting miserably all day and night. My vet only prescribed medicated wipes and antibiotics to prevent infection of areas, plus Benadryl. That only addressed symptoms, which gave her a small amount of relief (mostly by keeping her drowsy I think.) I did more research to get to the root of the cause, and the most common suggestion of holistic vets, by far, was switching to a single protein diet. To be clear, my dogs have always been on strict, grain free, super premium diets, including Instinct. But I switched to the Limited Ingredient Lamb (I’d read that lamb is the best protein for skin irritations.) in addition, I added raw to her diet – the instinct raw lamb – among with high quality pro/prebiotics and enzymes. Going on 3 weeks now, and she has steadily improved… I’m so happy to report that she is completely OFF of the Benadryl, antibiotics, and the wipes are no longer necessary. The holistic veterinary research suggested that it was my dog’s body's poor nutrient absorption that was the main issue. That spun off other issues which led to toxins being attacked the way they are in dogs: via their skin. I’m so glad to have my girl back: happy, healthy, and HEALED.MCWDLS

We have been feeding our two 60+ lbs dogs this for over 3 years now. You can’t beat the price for this quality food!! We have a Dalmatian whose breeder had him on this brand and we have continued it and even switched our other dog to this as well. Our Dalmatian needs to be on good quality food to avoid any bladder stones and this has worked for us. The dogs enjoy the flavor and always eat every bite. My Pitbull Otis had many digestive problems when I adopted him. I tried every food I could think of, including vet recommended food, in small amounts with time to adjust. Nothing worked. I then spent 3 years cooking for my dog. During a camping trip this summer it was clear we needed a simpler option, so I started with a small tube of Bison suggested by a pet store employee. The dog loved it! The even better news is that his digestive issues went away almost over night! My only issue with that specific protein is how expensive it is for my dog (Otis is about 75 lbs). We've been able to switch to VITAL® GRAIN FREE TURKEY RECIPE WITH SPINACH, CRANBERRIES & BLUEBERRIES. However, it's only available in the smaller 2lb package (1 tube lasts 2 days). He's unable to eat the other formula of Turkey with peas and carrots, so I hope at some point a larger size will be an option.Heather

For years I made my dogs food, which took hours. I use to make sure it had all the vitamins and nutrition needed. I started doing this because there were too many recalls, plus I didn't like canned food and wanted a fresh meal for my babies. My vet started carrying Fresh Pet and I noticed it in the refrigerator. I asked about it and was told how amazing the food was. My vet thought it was one of the best-inspired products on the market. I decided to try it. Now remember my 3 angels where spoiled and use to home cooking. They immediately loved this new food and treats. So at first I thought they would tire of it after awhile, but it has been 6 years. The beauty of this product is they have different meat and fish proteins. The vegetables and fruit along with the protein are perfect together. I believe in variety, so I have tried them all. Plus going back and forth among their products you don’t have to worry about changing, my dogs have never had issues. My guys like the vital turkey with spinach, cranberries and blueberries the best. Second favorite is Vital chicken. Anyone who has a Bichon or Maltese knows they can be a little picky, not in our house as plates are clean. We recently adopted another rescue who is a Westipoo. Poor little guy was under weight and his hair looked awful. 6 weeks of fresh pet he is full of energy, eating great and his hair looks healthy already. As they say you are what you eat and I totally believe better food leads to healthy and happy pups. My dog, a 16 year old mini schnauzer has always been a good eater. She was never a picky dog. She is almost blind, has no teeth, and we think she has doggie dementia. We had been feeding her a mixture of soaked dry food with the matching canned food, and she at this well up until about months ago. We switched her to just the canned food and this worked well for a bit. Then she just stopped eating all her food. She would eat 1/4 to 1/2 of what she normally would eat. I began to get worried. I am sure you folks here this a lot. But, I decided to buy some of this food. She weighs about 10lbs, so I started giving her just this food, about 3 oz in the morning and another 3 oz at night. She hasn't left a bite in her bowl!! She has eaten every meal now, we went through two of the smaller rolls, and decided to get the giant roll and cut it in about 4 pieces, freezing most, leaving out what we need for the week. I am so happy that she likes it. I've never had a dog this long. We got her when she was 6 weeks old, she grew up with my kids who all have left home now. We have four dogs. They get this as a small topping treat on their kibble. But my Sassy girl gets what she wants, and Fresh Pet dog food is what she wants, that's what she gets. Sofie Max and Suzy Q are very finicky eaters. I cooked more often for them than for myself. I was afraid they weren't getting all the nutrician they needed from the chicken, turkey, meat and salmon they ate. They occasionally ate the veggies I gave them. No matter the brand or flavor they refused to eat kibble. They absolutely love fresh pet. They have more energy and are wrestling more with each other again. I switch between this brand and nutri source for my Pomeranians and French bulldogs. They all love these meals. One one has had any stomach upset or nasty stools when on this brand. Stools are actually fewer which I assume is because they are absorbing more nutrients and I also notice their coats are so much shinier and all together healthier. Love this brand!! My dog hates dog food we've tried everything under the son from Orijen to Kirkland signature dry and wet for the last 4 years. I was having to put bacon grease, eggs an other goodies on his food everyday. He's an Italian Greyhound so keeping weight on him is tough. The Salmon Recipe wet dog food is the winner for our situation. We give him dental chews to help keep his teeth in good order on the wet food. Highly recommend for any dog that needs wet food and can handle a higher fat content food and still stay in a good healthy weight range.Olive and Storm

I tried to spend less when this increased by $10. I bought two other brands but nothing else was as good & in fact ingredients were truly inadequate. The last one my dog refused to eat after enthusiastically eating it twice then drinking so much water I think she was incredibly uncomfortable from being bloated. This is the best option in this price range and my girl thrives on it! High protein, fiber and all the vitamins come from foods not synthetic ones. There are no questionable ingredients like canola oil, tomato pomace or legumes. Order it if you care what your dog eats but feeding raw is not an option!Beth and Gracie

I've been using Nature's Logic for some time. It is the best for his coat and muscle. I know many complain about the "white waste" or hard poops, from my experience the smaller the waste means the more the dog is utilizing. We have rescue dogs that just inhale and they both have food allergies. This dog food has exceptional ingredients and is tolerated by sensitive stomachs. It's all in the poop …really. Our dogs never processed their food- poop was loose, smelly and almost too much coming out. This food made a difference in 24 hrs. Smaller, tighter poop that didn't smell. I've been buying Nylabones for every single one of my dogs for over a decade now, because they are the only toys that last longer than a week! I have an AmStaff, a Pittie, a Chihuahua, and a Chi-Pin and all 4 of them have the same veracious chewing habits. My small dogs strangely prefer all of the larger Nylabone models meant for bigger dogs over the teeny tiny ones meant for them, lol..don't ask me why, but they do! With daily usage from all 4 of my dogs, they tend to last anywhere from 9-12 months, until the big dogs whittle them down to what I call "shanks" (they tend to get a bit pointy/jagged on whatever end has been chewed on more)..and then once they become too small & unsafe for the big dogs, I just remove them and give them to the little dogs in another part of the house [away from the big dogs], and they continue enjoying these "nubs" for another 9-24 months. That being said, these "nubs" don't get chewed on daily by the small dogs since they prefer the largest/most intact Nylabones in the house lol. I've tried soooo many other brands of toys from multiple pet stores/other big box retail chains over the years, but these are the only consistent and affordable chew toys I've been able to find over the years..not to mention, all of my dogs LOVE them! The only other toy my dogs have not managed to destroy is their original Kongs, but literally, everything else typically gets destroyed within just a few short minutes-just a few days. For those worried about the dogs chewing off little pieces, that's kind of the point of these bones….why do you think most of them are flavored, lol..?? It's made of nontoxic ingredients that are safe and easily digestible, so I wouldn't worry about that. In my 14+ year tenure of owning dogs (esp. ones that are hardcore chewers w/ super strong jaws), NEVER have any of my dogs, no matter their size/breed, ever had any issues w/ digesting these bones..so fear not, fellow canine lovers! 🙂 Highly recommend ANY of the DuraChew Nylabones, esp. for dogs who are super orally fixated/hardcore chewers!!tboytrey

My boy loves this chew toy! I love this chew toy! They last a really long time, (at least for him) and they hold up really well to all of his shenanigans with it. In the 13 years I've had my dog I've only had to buy 3 of these, and one was bought only because he dropped it into a river while on a boat. It goes everywhere with him. I have tried all sorts of Kongs, smaller nylabones, soccer and rubber balls that my two dogs can't even get their mouths around, and they still find a way to destroy their toys. Anyone who has a power chewer knows that some dogs will chew with the front teeth to find a spot to tear open. Though this particular nylabone is large and expensive, it has held up to both my dogs' chewing for three months now. So far, they haven't chewed either end down, though it can get rough on the edges. No toy is permanent, but if you are looking for a toy that will last, this is one. I've seen reviews where people could not get their dogs to bother with this toy and thus rated them low because they spent the money on them. All I can say is that is not the manufacturer's fault. Some dogs just do not like certain chew toys. These nylabones are blocky and heavy and probably not meant for a small dog or one who doesn't like the weight to carry around. The product description states that it has a chicken flavor. One thing I will point out is that if it does, it does not have an odor that I can smell, unlike many other toys that have flavors infused in them. I'm sure that's a tactic to appeal to the dog more but for mine it doesn't make a difference. I'm just glad I can't smell it.' My golden doodles always suffered with loose stools no matter what kibble we switched to. My girl, Lola, was an adult dog when I rescued her from a kill shelter in 2007. At a minimum I would estimate her age to be 11. She has always been very active and feisty, but over the past year she had developed some pain issues and was starting to act like she was ready to go. I took her to my vet who said her liver enzymes were elevated and suggested I spend $300 on an ultrasound. I decided to instead change her diet. She has been eating Vital Turkey and chicken for the past 6 months and she is a new dog! The dogs really do enjoy this food, but the cost per bag in insane. Especially when there are no larger bags on offer at a more budget friendly price. I purchased this bag because my fur baby loves this brand of food and as far as the food in the bag she enjoys this one. She loves eggs, carrots and green beans. Rice is not a big thing for her but a little here and there she will tolerate and Fresh Pet doesn't use big portions of rice which makes their food perfect for her. I like that it's a complete balanced meal and easy to serve in portions. Its easy for her to digest and she's been eating this brand for 15 months with no problems and doing well on her vet exams. My beagle puppy loves, loves, loves her flamingo! She carries it everywhere and loves to bite on different parts of it. The squeaker isn't super loud but just enough to make her happy (and not annoy us).Anonymous

We bought this toy and my dog carried it out of the store in her mouth. Since then she hasn’t set it down. She loves it and it’s a great toy because there is a quiet squeaker and there’s a long neck that’s perfect for tug of war.Derika
