This pet feeder has some good qualities: it looks very clean and modern, the bowls are ceramic and dish washer safe, and it keeps them up off the ground so our dog doesn't spill as much food/water. I will note that the bowls are probably more for a cat. We just happen to have a 9lb dog, so it's perfect for her. My main issue is with the quality of the "wood". The veneer is already (in a week) chipping or rubbing? away in spots. It came in the box with no protection around the base, just the bowls in were styrofoam. So maybe some of it even happened in delivery. Overall, for the cost, I'm afraid this won't hold up long enough to be worth it.sam_t

We have an Australian Shepard and a Chihuahua and both are seniors. With the winter coming here in Alaska, mice are trying to getting in as they do every winter. We usually let them eat and then foil cover their bowls (mice won't mess with foil or steel wool). With this, you can add water to the channel that is around their bowls and the mice will not cross it! It is a beautiful feeder but only 4 months later it is split all along the top of it, from one side to the other. This feeder is kept in my bedroom as back-up or 'night time' feeder for one dog, so there is not a lot of abuse, if any so I am really disappointed that it has not lasted even 6 months. I needed a second food stand so our Granddog, a terrier mutt, would not abscond with our Labrador retriever’s food bowls containing any uneaten food and scatter it in the living room. I bought this because it had some height, a 4 cup Pyrex bowls would fit in it, and the price was good. Unfortunately for us, the stand does not have a circular bowl holder, but is square. So, it does not hold the bowl completely still. Our labrador hasn’t read the lab manual – she doesn’t know she’s supposed to be confident. She’s happy but skittish and insecure. So, the metallic bowl moved and made a noise when she was eating her food. It scared her, and she jumped back. Now, she will not approach the bowl. Not even when using the Pyrex bowls. I would perhaps like to buy a set, a large set, in the dark gray as shown- in the extended details section it says there are 4 color options, but not what they are nor how to select/view them – And only because of the 4th picture, I'm able to determine there are 3 sizes available- that picture shows they come in small, medium, large with the equivalent amount of cups each size holds… swell, really, ****BUT**** how the heck are you supposed to know/select the size you want?!?! And same question goes for selecting a color- no means of deciphering between them except the price? I guess? Call me stupid, perhaps I'm missing something here, but it's hard to buy something that doesn't give you the proper details… Hmmm, oh well! °_°mike
I needed a second food stand so our Granddog, a terrier mutt, would not abscond with our Labrador retriever’s food bowls containing any uneaten food and scatter it in the living room. I bought this because it had some height, a 4 cup Pyrex bowls would fit in it, and the price was good. Unfortunately for us, the stand does not have a circular bowl holder, but is square. So, it does not hold the bowl completely still. Our labrador hasn’t read the lab manual – she doesn’t know she’s supposed to be confident. She’s happy but skittish and insecure. So, the metallic bowl moved and made a noise when she was eating her food. It scared her, and she jumped back. Now, she will not approach the bowl. Not even when using the Pyrex bowls. I suppose she needs some anti-anxiety treatments… At least our Granddog hasn’t dumped the bowl.BLUF

Purchased this set for my American Eskimo to free up some kitchen floor space. It definitely has done that–takes up much less space than the previous bowls I had. The red color goes great in my chef-themed kitchen. Beautiful elevated dog bowl set. I have to be honest, I measured and measured in hopes of needing the medium size verses the large due to the price, lol. After I initially ordered the large set, I realized that although I may have measured correctly, I was misunderstanding the size of the actual bowls (I guess). The Large came with two dishes that were each large than a family salad bowl seriously over 10" in diameter. The photo shows 3 but I think they may actually offer 4 sizes? I still don't know. I have a 65# Goldendoodle and the medium is more than big enough.OliveAnn

From an appearance and function perspective, this is terrific. The height is perfect for my 30-lb dog, and our smaller 9 lb dog can also reach up for a drink of water when he is too lazy to go to his own bowl. The stainless steel insert bowls are of high quality. The design is perfect with our home decor. My one complaint is that the leg screws are too short. I managed to twist 2 of them into place, but the other 2 just wouldn't go in far enough to even engage with the screw thread in the leg. I ended up using Super Glue because I didn't have time to get to a hardware store and compare hardware sizes for a replacement. Might have been an anomaly. Aside from that, we're very happy with the purchase.Amy
