I love this shampoo! I use it for all of my dogs of different ages. I love the scent. Smells strongish if you sniff the bottle, but after the bath, the dogs have a light floral scent without it being too strong. I have liked some of the other Wahl shampoos also, but some leave the dogs smelling like "wet dog". This one does not. It does leave the dogs soft and fluffy. I have had no issues with the dogs being itchy. The shampoo creates a good lather and seems to rinse very clear. On another note, I'm cheap when it comes to dog shampoo! I found that there was an improvement in her coat though it did not completely soothe my baby's itchy back. I've got a rescue toy poodle with extremely curly fur, she gets knotted/matted very easily but hates being brushed. She also has very sensitive skin and a lot of products make her itchy. These products don't irritate her skin and leave her fur extremely soft and manageable. There's good "slip" so it's much easier to brush out her curls and detangle. If you're familiar with poodles, brushing out their curls usually leaves them with the poofy poodle look, with these products her fur ends up being a soft wave that lasts quite a while. This is a very good company and they have good products for humans and pets. My dog, unfortunately, happens to have very dry sensitive itchy skin. Especially during flea season. Just one flea bite and it's off to the races. She has severe "flea bites venom" allergy. So flea season I have to be hyper vigilant with everything from yard, home, pet flea and tick treatment, and grooming. I purchased this one day because I know that oatmeal is very soothing to itchy dry skin. I have used regular oatmeal as a paste and as a bath/rinse with very good results. This shampoo smells good, it was a little higher priced but I was OK as long as the results were equal to the price point. Sadly, I was not impressed. In this case it was the name brand reputation was bigger than the results. while it did clean her fur thoroughly and nicely , she was scratching a lot within the first few hours after her bath. And she was properly rinsed. I spend triple the time rinsing.  I put her back in the shower and rinsed her with the homemade oatmeal bath that I use. Regular old-school oatmeal, mixed with water, and just use it as a soak/rinse. I also put in a few drops of high-quality Teatree oil, the mother of apple cider vinegar, and a cup of chamomile tea. that's my homemade treatment for itchy sensitive skin this shampoo, for the price, did not meet my expectations. I have gotten similar if not better results from shampoos that were 1 to 5 dollars a bottle. Keep in mind this is just my opinion and my results on my dog. This is a great natural dog shampoo that i use on my dog regularly. I used to use a lot of product, like a quarter of the bottle every time I bathed my fur baby. I was told from my groomers to create a foam with some water and soap in a bottle and it makes the product lather better and uses so much less! I'm not a fan of most doggie shampoos out there because they aren't always transparent about ingredients, and often there's a ton of neon colouring. This was quite a splurge for a shampoo, as my last shampoo purchase was a gallon of Buddy Wash for $60. However, it's my pup's birthday so I always get a few presents for her. My primary concern was that the fragrance would be too overpowering (dog's noses are super sensitive), but it's no more noticeable than other shampoos. I find Ouai products are very perfumey, but this is definitely not as fragranced as my human products. My goldendoodle has very high-maintenance, SUPER fine hair so I always follow up a shampoo with a bunch of conditioner. However, once this shampoo was rinsed out her hair didn't feel stripped of all moisture so I forewent the conditioner, and so far so good. The product itself is excellent, my grandfurbaby is silky smooth after her bath. Unfortunately, we were under a time limit when bathing her so she was unable to get the full grooming experience. This has been the only dog shampoo I will ever use! I have a one year old "Beagador" : Chocolate Labrador and Beagle mix dog. So needless to say he is very hyper and won't stand for taking a bath longer than a few minute's! Really loved this product and so does my pups. One weekend both my doggies got sprayed by a skunk, naturally I went for tomato juice and another mixture of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda to bath them in. It worked wonders but after that I wanted to give them a nice soothing bath so I used this. I loved the scent and how calming it was for my pups. It smoothed my pitbulls skin really good and made both my other long haired babygirl and my potty smell good and have a smooth coat. It relaxed them a lot too after having been bathed at least 3 times each. I also added only 2 drops of lavender oil, so not too overpowering to there bath which also helped. Ever since I started using this brand I have never used another. It has become my favorite brand on my Miniature schnauzer. It leaves his fur shiney and soft! Used it on my German Shepherd Dog who is going through the shedding stage now. My dog suffers from hot spots on his feet and it makes him just miserable as one heals and another pops up in a different spot. My vet recommended I try a shampoo formulated specifically for hot spots and I found this at a major online retailer. A sixteen ounce bottle ran me about $7 as an add on item which I thought was quite economical since my dog is so small and that one bottle should last me through many, many washes. The formula uses Tea Tree Oil, Aloe Vera, Chamomile to calm dry, itchy skin and despite being a bit strong smelling during the bathing process the smell does not linger after drying. After the first bath with this I noticed a definite improvement in my dog's spots and he seemed more relaxed and less prone to lick the sore areas. After a month of weekly baths his spots were gone and they have not reappeared since. He also had a bit of a dandruff problem during the summer as he likes to sit outside and sunbathe which dries out his skin. It came highly recommended but I will certainly never buy it again. This is a very good company and they have good products for humans and pets. My dog, unfortunately, happens to have very dry sensitive itchy skin. Especially during flea season. Just one flea bite and it's off to the races. She has severe "flea bites venom" allergy. So flea season I have to be hyper vigilant with everything from yard, home, pet flea and tick treatment, and grooming. I purchased this one day because I know that oatmeal is very soothing to itchy dry skin. I have used regular oatmeal as a paste and as a bath/rinse with very good results. This shampoo smells good, it was a little higher priced but I was OK as long as the results were equal to the price point. Sadly, I was not impressed. In this case it was the name brand reputation was bigger than the results. while it did clean her fur thoroughly and nicely , she was scratching a lot within the first few hours after her bath. And she was properly rinsed. I spend triple the time rinsing.  I put her back in the shower and rinsed her with the homemade oatmeal bath that I use. Regular old-school oatmeal, mixed with water, and just use it as a soak/rinse. I also put in a few drops of high-quality Teatree oil, the mother of apple cider vinegar, and a cup of chamomile tea. that's my homemade treatment for itchy sensitive skin this shampoo, for the price, did not meet my expectations. I have gotten similar if not better results from shampoos that were 1 to 5 dollars a bottle. Keep in mind this is just my opinion and my results on my dog. This is a great natural dog shampoo that i use on my dog regularly. I used to use a lot of product, like a quarter of the bottle every time I bathed my fur baby. I was told from my groomers to create a foam with some water and soap in a bottle and it makes the product lather better and uses so much less! I also originally bought this product with the intention of using it for one of my dog’s dry skin. With that being said I have a miniature poodle with severe allergies that caused him to scratch at himself until he was bleeding and scratched off the skin in multiple location on his body. He is now medicated and is a lot better with the correct products. This product did help with his allergies minimally but did help his over all coat a lot. His coat was soft and shiny after using the product and after a few weeks his dry skin that was caused by a previous product was much better. The woman who sold it to me said that they use it in the actual grooming salon on the dogs too and its just as good as she made it out to be. I will definitely be buying this shampoo from now on. A delightful gal who works with "Just Food for Dogs" (MARY!) helped me find this great shampoo for our new puppy! She couldn't have been more kind!…and this isn't even the area in which she works!…but she took me right TO it! … What a honey! … We love the shampoo! It smells HEAVENLY! … and, once "Hope" gets accustomed to baths, I'm sure she'll love it, too!! … (When the water reached her from the faucet, she immediately started "swimming" with her little front feet!) … I'll buy this again! As a first time buyer of this product I would say it was just average maybe a little below. I walked in and asked For a puppy shampoo that all smell great the employee pointed us thre for a puppy shampoo that’ll smell great the employee pointed out epree. Trusting his word I bought the product when I used it at home I didn’t really get the smell I was expecting . Will probably only buy again for desperate needs but never as a first choice .Rockydoopz0
