I was super excited to try this, as we have SEVEN animals in our home. That excitement quickly faded while unboxing this. It's poorly made. The battery compartment was hard to take out and put back in, after installing the batteries. The piece on the handle that should slide out to hang it, didn't want to come out and broke off when I used tweezers to pull it out. I followed the instructions exactly as written with a quick back and forth motion and all it did was pick up a few dust particles. Not a single strand of fur was lifted off any of the five different surfaces I tried it on. When I pushed the button to release the compartment to empty the contents, it didn't want to close back properly. The light is okay but not a huge loss if It doesn't work or the batteries die. It only makes a difference if you need to use it in a dark room, but it's not even that bright. I found zero benefits to using this. It was a total waste of time.AMOmomOF3
With a lot of fur-babies, I was really excited to get this. It's very cheap plastic. Like other reviewers, I couldn't understand the necessity of the batteries or the light and I still don't. I thought perhaps the roller rolls but it doesn't or at least mine doesn't. I had to scrape off the fur from the lint brush or it fell on the floor. It certainly didn't go inside the collector area as it shows on the instructions. One portion of the brush kept falling out of the roller and this was on the first attempt at using it on a simple side chair. In addition to that, I found my thumb kept naturally going to where the on/off button in a grip and it would turn it off. This is something you should be able to purchase at a dollar store. This Evercare Pet hair roller is the best ever! I've used many pet rollers, but usually have to use many sheets. This mega sized roller is very strong. I mean —-VERY strong! It took a lot to remove the cover sheet. But, once off, I used it on my bed and oh man did it remove the cat hair. I have to massively large Maine Coon cats and they're long haired. They shed ridiculously. There's hair everywhere. Well, this works so well. Two sheets took up so much hair. I was so happy. Now I understand why the sheet grip was so strong. I have 3 indoor cats so I use a lint roller every day, usually two sheets. I wanted to try the Evercare lint roller because it picks up more lint and cat hair and it really does. Man these suck. I bought a few because my cat was shedding his winter coat. I used them on him and our clothes. It did nothing. Barely picked up any fur or fuzzies. I thought this was going to be another “sometimes it works” pet hair removal product. I was SO WRONG!!! This is the most amazing pet hair remover that has ever been devised. If you have a golden retriever or Australian Shepherd, you are buried under a blanket of hair, everywhere. But o e swipe with this sponge picks it all up. I have a very hairy chi who shoots hair out like a porcupine shoots quills. I’m never even aware of how much hair he leaves around until I start going over the bed or couch with the sponge. My two Aussies shed hair in mighty abundance which gathers daily into clumps like tumbleweed. My Dyson DC25 cant cope and hair loops tightly around the roller bar which then has to be cut and teased off during and after use.
