I've tried the Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Antiseptic and Anti fungal Spray for Dogs and Cats on a few of our outside cats. They've been deflead but one still kept scratching and losing fur just above her tail. I'm not sure if it's an allergic reaction to the fleas or if it's the result of a thyroid problem. But we tried this spray and the itching stopped immediately. It's been almost 3 weeks and she still isn't scratching it. I also wanted to try this on some ringworm that a few of the outside cats have. I've been spraying this on for almost 3 weeks now but haven't really seen any improvement with the ringworm spots that I'm treating. Ringworm can respond slow to treatments anyway so I'm not sure if this is going to help with that or not. The spray is a pump and it has a light citrus smell, kind of like oranges. It will not harm your pet if they lick it. It didn't list a minimum age that you can use it on. It contains Chlorhexidine Gluconate, Keratin, and Aloe Vera. It's listed as an antifungal, antimicrobial, and antibacterial. To use this you just spray the area tell really wet, twice daily for a week, then once daily for another week. I read the reviews for this product but was still a bit skeptical for it to actually work. One of my cats (2 yr old orange tabby) literally scratched the size of a 50 cent bare spot (literally overnight) in center of his back below shoulder blade. By the end of the day the circle was warm red inflamed and gross. Being on a tight budget I did my research for home remedies. First I began applying a year old vet prescribed Dermalone antibiotic that was prescribed for one of my other cats for 3 days but area got worse. Then began applying Neosporin for 2 days lightly on and around scab now and ( luckily the spot was where he could not reach to lick off) and it did nothing as well. A week later purchased this product, followed the directions and a week later the area was completed healed. Scab dried and fell off and new skin looks perfect and normal. Unfortunately I dont know what this was for did not take him to a vet. Infected area did resemble pictures of ringworm online. I ordered this when my cat was running a fever at the Vet so I could have something at home. The directions were quite confusing it says you can only give it for two days before returning to the vet. I would not buy something just for two days. I suppose that would be good for a weekend or so, which is why I gave it three paws. Sorry not a review but a question. Sounds like this works well but I have a horrible time keeping my Shepard from licking his wounds. My avid little mouser cat caught herself a little prize just a few days before a month-prior planned trip my husband and i were unavoidably about to go to. Using this for hot spots on my canine, this stuff does work but it sometimes can take up to 2 8oz. Bottles to heal the area's treated. This medication has been prescribed to my pet until the end of his life. He has some urinary issues alone with some other problems. I turned to this product for my cat after everything else failed. She has a chronic sinus infection that did not respond to multiple rounds of two different antibiotics. About 6 months ago, my cat, who has feline leukemia, stopped eating, was constantly vomiting, sleeping, and cringed whenever I touched her. She would still come in and sleep on me, but had no energy and whimpered a lot. When I found out that she had leukemia, the vet led me to believe I could make her as comfortable as best I could, or look into euthanizing her. My 12 year old Yorkie suddenly starting losing the contents of her bladder during the night. The vet suggested checking for a UTI. I did some research and found that not only would that be expensive and require a course of antibiotics, many people found that the dog's UTI would come right back after they were done. My BT recently passed away and my Chihuahua has been grieving as she is lonely. Got her a snuggle buddy and these warming packs to go in it. She loves it and snuggles up to it when she is in her crate, which is usually for about 3-4 hours max. I reuse the packs several times. If you put the one you are using in a baggie and push all the air out, you can use it several times if not for extended times.

My standard poodle suffers from outdoor allergies. After battling them all summer the vet just said to double up on benadryl. I felt like I was drugging my dog. Wow is right, because I am floored at how well this works! I have 2 pups with horrible allergies – one that nothing else works for. I've tried all different meds, including shots, and she still suffered horribly during allergy season. my dog is picky, but she seems to like the water whenever this stuff is put in. i kind of eye it as far as pouring the additive in. i haven't really smelled her breath to check a significant difference, but now that i am doing this, i should, so i know if i am even putting enough! the only draw back is the cap. it drips everywhere even though it's on tight. and it's not like you have to twist the cap off every time you need to use it. so, that's about the only drawback. great sale price, and petco has fast delivery and great rewards perks!carmensandiego
We've used an entire bottle consistently, and I haven't noticed fresh breath, but my dog's breath no longer smells like she ate something rotten. Also, the cap is a terrible design. It says to add a cap full to 16oz. of water, but the cap is made to be popped open and squeeze out of it. It's definitely not designed for pouring liquid into it to measure. My dog hasn't had any issues drinking it and seems not to notice it's there. It does foam a LOT when I add water, and I'm using it exactly as directed. I would like to start by saying this product really did work for my miniature poodle and pomeranian. Both dogs had bad breath, but after using this product daily I can smell a huge difference. I normally will pour a capful in their water fountain just before I leave for work and when I return home the bad breath smell is gone. I will say that if you pour too much of this product(my mistake) in a doggie water fountain it will produce bubbles in the water, but this did not deter my dogs from drinking the water. Now even though this product may work well for dogs with bad breath it can be discouraging and frustrating to the pets owner because of the poorly design and function of the bottle's top. I had a bad experience with my delivery, the contain seeped out of the bottle, the bag the bottle came in, and the Petco box(pictures attached). Also, the instructions on the bottle ask that you shake it before using which I want to warn anyone who is considering purchasing this item that…THE LIQUID WILL SHAKE OUT EVERYWHERE…..I replaced the top with a functioning top and again the product works great.
