I highly recommend this product. I’ve been using Zymox for years. My terrier mix has Ear Edge Dermatitis. It’s incurable and usually tears up the edges of the ear from constant cell overgrowth (auto immune) and dogs will be plagued with constant ear issues and itching. I've always liked Zymox products, but this one really impressed me! GSD/BC mix has had continual ear issues since having a hematoma drained in her right ear. The ear lays over and is full of thicker tissue which seems to hold in a ton of moisture. This last bout of pain and scratching was making her (and me!) absolutely crazy and, after a week of use, the regular Zymox I always have on hand just wasn't cutting it. I did a bit of searching and found the Zymox plus advanced formula and figured I'd give that a try before resorting to a vet visit, antibiotics, steroid drops, etc. After the second day of use, she stopped shaking her head, scratching and whining. It says it will get rid of bacteria, viruses and is antifungal, which sounds like it ought to cover everything. My kitten has that typical dark brown stuff in her ears. It didn't work better than the standard cat ear cleaners. I used it almost daily for two weeks or so. It loosens the gunk so you can wipe it out but doesn't get rid of it at it's source, which is the whole point. There's new dark brown gunk still being made down in her ears daily. I rescued a dog. He had bad ear mites, took care of those with mineral oil. Took him to a vet and for the same old make money bit, he had an ear infection. So, he got antibiotics orally. Then he kept showing signs of pain, itching etc..,but the smell let me know from his ears he had a bad yeast infection. Being a nurse I tried several home remedies to no avail. I looked around online for something non prescription and not expensive that would have something to kill yeast. Dr. Gold's has ketoconazale. I've used almost one bottle now, his ears are clean of the brown / black discharge. He's feeling better 100% now and I am thankful for this stuff! Saves me a lot, no return to the vet. It has killed the yeast infection, the stank yeast smell is about gone. I use it once a day. So you pay an office visit and then you pay for the antibiotic and a test to see what the problem is very expensive! I put it into both ear canals, and then rub the top of the ears for 30 seconds, making sure I get that wet, squishy sound. I do it three times a week, and she has not had an ear infection for 2 years! The only negative is that it has a little bit of a chemical/perfume smell while it is still wet. As soon as it dries, there is no smell. When the house is cold, I put the container in the microwave for about 5 seconds. It's much more pleasant for her to have warm solution going into her ears.Joan

I just ordered this tonight. So havent tried it yet. Will update soon as I do and try it. All the other vet formula products Ive tried have done exactly what they say. So ordered 2 more today. My fur baby has I think a very bad yeast infection n her ear and itching n prob an earache. I read all positive reviews on this product. Helps for pain, itching,swelling and kills mites plus the infection rather its yeast or bacterial. And its super cheap! If this works like all their other products, I want to personally thank the founders! For being the only products that have helped my baby when Ive spent prob $2000 or more at the vet and they havent helped her AT ALL!!! But these products have! Using a cotton ball to remove the residue (and icky stuff), and she clearly hears better. My poor dog has floppy ears and has been shaking his head for weeks. He seemed to have some sort of infection and i tried my best to help him to no avail. I have a AKC Brussels Griffon female who has had ear infections since a very young age. The vet has wanted to do surgery on her for a long time. I had her ears cropped because, when born, they were huge! and I could forsee infections coming in her future. She is now 11 years old and that prediction has come true. I'm sure she's had the headaches that go with them. I've tried several ways to keep her ears clean but NEVER stick anything into the ear, used only approved methods of putting drops in, myself, waiting for the VET to do manual digging if needed. This is a serious issue with her, but my other Griffons have not had this issue, only her. After trying several solutions, I have found this product to be most effective in helping relieve her pain and control the ear wax buildup even as good or better than Hydrogen Peroxide without the danger of getting it in her eyes. She tolerates this well as there is no bubbling sound for her to cope with and it helps numb pain. Not a smell to avoid. This product is worth the money if your animal has ear issues as mine has had. My labradoodle has recurrent ear "issues" – sometimes infections, sometimes just irritations. I think she developed some resistance to antibiotics, and I think its a bit ridiculous to treat her ears with antibiotics so frequently, so we were looking for an alternative cleanser and treatment. I used the treatment for 10days when we first got it, and that seems to have cleared her ears up. We use the cleanser at least weekly to keep up with keeping her ears clean and happy. She has big floppy ears, and she plays in the woods/streams daily – she's a dirty pup; keeping her ears clean and infection free is a full time job, but this product seems to help. I'll continue to use it frequently. It's easy to use. Not messy or smelly. The dog tolerates it well. It should come as little surprise that any cat is going to hate having a liquid put in their ears. My cat hated her very expensive prescription medication that never did fully eradicate her ear mites, so I didn't expect her to feel differently about this product. It's too early to say with 100% confidence that this is going to knock out the now only slight, but persistent ear mite problem she seems to have, but so far, so good (3 days of applications). The only tricky thing is remembering which ear I got on each application because there is no way on earth that I can get her to let me do both ears at once. If this knocks it out, then the price point, as well as the ingredient list, totally have me sold. Much better than what I was spending at the vet! I use this in my dog’s ears whenever I give her a bath (she’s a just chihuahua so every 1-4 weeks depending) and it doesn’t bother her ears or anything, and she’s never had an ear infection when I’ve taken her to the vet. I’ll also occasionally use it on my cat every couple months or so to make sure to give his ears a good cleaning and help keep them free from gunk and wax buildup. The fact that it's the same consistency as water is great, because it makes pouring it into their ears with the attached tube thing quick and easy. our 5 month old collie had a lot of ear wax, so we gave him a bath and used this ear cleaner during his bath and his ears are clean and fresh. It has a very faint odor, is dye and paraben free. He didn't seem to mind us squirting it in his ear, but he did shake after (he was in the middle of a bath). It is in a light small tube with a nozzle you trim off and squeeze the bottle to squirt. It has been about 2 weeks since using the products and his ears are still clean and smell fine. I think if you are concerned with ear odor for your pet, you should first see a vet because sometimes they get yeast in their ear and it may need to be medicated with an antifungal ointment.
