I put it in the backseat and the seatbelt fits and keeps it in place. I put it in the rear passenger side and I can see him and he can see me. This is such a great product – I'm extremely happy we purchased this. We got it for an upcoming tent camping trip. Our dog typically sleeps in her crate at night but its too large and being metal we were afraid it would rip the tent. I found this item and couldn't be more pleased! Super convenient in its carrying case, very easy to put together, and even comes with stakes in case you do want to use it outside and make sure it doesn't blow away. For the cost too – this is such a great purchase! Notes: the color is more of a burnt orange color. The front/back zipper onto the middle section. We did opt to add another layer of cushion because the one provided is quite thin. We have a 50lb small-ish pit who likes to be super comfy all the time.
I purchased one of these right after I moved into our current home, which was over five years ago. It held up beautifully. I would take it out and hose it down now and again to keep it clean and dustless. I decided to replace it only because the dog loves it so much and it was starting to look a little shabby. He had chewed on the mesh door when he was younger and made a hole, and I was no longer able to zip him into it for the night because he would just force himself through that hole. I was very happy to see that they still make pretty much exactly the same product, although I probably shouldn't have been because it's such a good-quality item other people would surely re-buy it too. I can't praise it highly enough. This is a very lightweight product with plenty of room for my 7 month old pup. She loves it. Easy to keep by the bedside, take to the car, travel with cozy den. I have not left her alone in this for long periods of time as a crate when I go out (still use a metal crate for that) as I don't know if she would try to chew on it being a soft crate and she's a puppy. I had purchased two of these large crates in 1995 when I was showing my dogs I loved both of those crates. I still have one of the crates and needed another for my new dog that is 25lbs. I ordered the new crate and I was a little disappointed with the quality of materials now used in the production of the crates. The crate I have had for 20 years is better made. Ive had this crate for my dog for over a year. Its easy to set up and tear down and light enough for a woman to carry. These soft crates are for crate trained dogs. If you didnt use a crate when training your puppy it will not work for your dog. I have a 56 lb. Goldendoodle. She has plenty of room in the 42 crate and is very comfortable in it. After deciding our precious "baby" needed to sleep in her own bed, we started looking for an attractive soft-side kennel to put in the bedroom for her. We looked all over & couldn't find anything we liked that was the right size. Hayneedle to the rescue!! Found the perfect color & size, placed the order late one night & had it within 3 business days. And to think I wasted hours & hours driving from store to store!! The kennel allows the maximum visibility w/windows on all sides & the top so she doesn't feel confined and the extra pouches will be great for travel. There doesn't seem to be any "handles" for lifting for transport & I wouldn't recommend lifting the kennel w/the dog inside, but you could certainly put it in the car first & then pop your pup inside. The pad that comes with it is flimsy, so buy a "nice" one for assured comfort.alydais

I am so pleased with this pet crate! I got the Large for my 2 lil dogs to ride in our new car and not get hair all over or on our newborn while on trips to Phoenix! This is great! It fit perfectly in the backseat with the carseat! I love how it isnt super structured so that it forms to the seats! Also the flaps on the sides are extra hair control! My dogs fit perfectly! It will be great for our road trips! Though we will still use our metal kennels since my dogs are escape artists when they want to be.Elisabeth
If this were two inches wider, or even one inch wider, I would have given it a 5 star review (the medium size would have been too big…). My 10-lb dog likes to sleep on top of her crate and this one is *much* better constructed than any other soft-sided crate I've tried – the tubular construction is sturdy and seems well-suited for repeated jumping-on-top. The inside, while a little tight, even for a small dog, seems comfortable enough for her. She usually scratches the liner pads to pieces quickly, but isn't doing that with this one. Overall, a good value and a well-made crate.

bought this crate for travel and use at our vacation home. got a total of 12 days use before my 5 month old 22 pound puppy ripped a hole in the door and broke the zipper. Total waste of money. the company Precision Pets would not make good on in and all I was asking for was a new cover, the frame, pad and case were still good. They said it comes a s a whole unit from the manufacturer in CHINA. 12 days and now out to the trash.Pat L
I bought this kennel for both home use and travel. My smaller dog tries to hide behind our clothes in the closet during storms and now she has her own "cave" that is safe. We keep her kenneled in the car during travel and this is SO much better than a squeaky metal kennel. It is very versatile because of the openings on multiple sides.
