Purchased this product with not much confidence made a huge difference in my GSD allergies. Sprayed on the area he was chewing when he would begin chewing. I've tried the Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Antiseptic and Anti fungal Spray for Dogs and Cats on a few of our outside cats. They've been deflead but one still kept scratching and losing fur just above her tail. I'm not sure if it's an allergic reaction to the fleas or if it's the result of a thyroid problem. But we tried this spray and the itching stopped immediately. It's been almost 3 weeks and she still isn't scratching it. I also wanted to try this on some ringworm that a few of the outside cats have. I've been spraying this on for almost 3 weeks now but haven't really seen any improvement with the ringworm spots that I'm treating. Ringworm can respond slow to treatments anyway so I'm not sure if this is going to help with that or not. The spray is a pump and it has a light citrus smell, kind of like oranges. It will not harm your pet if they lick it. It didn't list a minimum age that you can use it on. It contains Chlorhexidine Gluconate, Keratin, and Aloe Vera. It's listed as an antifungal, antimicrobial, and antibacterial. To use this you just spray the area tell really wet, twice daily for a week, then once daily for another week. I read the reviews for this product but was still a bit skeptical for it to actually work. One of my cats (2 yr old orange tabby) literally scratched the size of a 50 cent bare spot (literally overnight) in center of his back below shoulder blade. By the end of the day the circle was warm red inflamed and gross. Being on a tight budget I did my research for home remedies. First I began applying a year old vet prescribed Dermalone antibiotic that was prescribed for one of my other cats for 3 days but area got worse. Then began applying Neosporin for 2 days lightly on and around scab now and ( luckily the spot was where he could not reach to lick off) and it did nothing as well. A week later purchased this product, followed the directions and a week later the area was completed healed. Scab dried and fell off and new skin looks perfect and normal. Unfortunately I dont know what this was for did not take him to a vet. Infected area did resemble pictures of ringworm online. My GSD Cora had been very slow getting up at night and would be stiff moving around when she would first wake up. I had recently switched her off a large breed food that had glucosamine in it because it was causing a skin allergy. We switched to Purina Pro Plan for sensitive skin and stomach and it cleared her skin but without the glucosamine she was struggling. After receiving this we got right to business trying it and just a few days later she is back to her old self. She now is back to sleeping on the floor and rolling on her back with her legs spread out. (Very unladylike) She is back to full throttle playing frisbee outside. I have 2 chihuahua mix dogs, Peaches and Sparky are both rescues and absolute blessings. Peaches will be 3 in may and has been with me 2 1/2 years. My avid little mouser cat caught herself a little prize just a few days before a month-prior planned trip my husband and i were unavoidably about to go to. Apparently that mouse had bitten her back in the process, right on her tender little lip cleft! Using this for hot spots on my canine, this stuff does work but it sometimes can take up to 2 8oz. Bottles to heal the area's treated. Not sure if it's the strength of medicine or just those stubborn spots. I am a vet assistant, and I see all kinds of animals coming in with different skin conditions or allergies and always felt so bad for them and their owners….. then I got a dog with allergies and then I found out what it's really like…. it is devastating watching your dog itch and scratch to the point of pulling their hair out, then when the hair is gone… then there goes their skin…. they will make themselves bleed and still won't stop. I tried benadryl I tried EVERYTHING, had to even do skin antibiotics and steroid Injections and still he was itching…. so… the dr tried him on this….. now… first thing I will say is this medication isn't cheap especially for bigger dogs (if you have a 10lbs dog it's not going to be too bad) but my poor dog had to start off taking 2 16mg 2 times a day and it was roughly 300 for the first month, however from there you taper down and after a few months I got him down to half a tablet once daily…. anyway…. this medication worked like a dream for him. Sorry not a review but a question. Sounds like this works well but I have a horrible time keeping my Shepard from licking his wounds. My Pomeranian suffers from BSD and has lost a lot of his fur. I have tried treatments from the vets but with no avail. The dog had a TPLO surgery and had half of his back and his leg fur shaved off. The leg fur was coming back in about a month, but his back was completely bare with almost no sign of new fur growth. This products works well. My older Cocker Spaniel started having health issue that has required me to place him on a low fat diet. Due to his health issues and I think changing his food, he started having skin problems. He now has very bad dry skin / dandruff. In addition to a medicated shampoo, the vet recommended coconut oil to help hydrate his skin. The coconut oil was really oily on his fur and I don't think he was fond of the smell. I got this spray at my local small business pet store (Carter's Pet Mart in Stockton, CA) because he's prone to itchy skin when the weather gets hot. It cost $6.99 and they had a multitude of other scents and sprays for various needs. I've always liked how tea tree oil smells so I knew it would also help his coat and skin smell better after he came in from being outdoors. After a week of giving her 2 chews per day as per the instructions I've noticed a big reduction in the amount of her itching. She likes to eat them so apparently they must taste pretty good. She is a finicky eater. I will definitely purchase more of these they work really well. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who has a fur baby.Redbird
Both of my finicky dogs, LOVE these Allergy Relief Skin & Coat Supplement Chews. (one of my dogs that refuses pumpkin, loves these chews!) My dogs both suffer with dry/itchy skin and are constantly scratching. I cannot believe that after 3 days they both are hardly scratching at all! Normally they wake me up in the night with their scratching but I haven't noticed them scratching barely at all. Ingredients include: Omega 3 Fatty Acid, Turmeric, Grape Seed Extract, Pumpkin, EPA & DHA. I am very happy with this product and will continue them on this supplement!jeniebeens
I revived this product , Allergy Relief Dog Treats – Omega 3 +Pumpkin +Enzymes – Itchy Skin Relief – Seasonal Allergies – Anti-Itch & Hot Spots – Immune Supplement – Made in USA – Chicken Flavor Soft Chews, and following the instructions I gave to my Yorkshire. Few hours later he starts vomiting. Because he has sensitive stomach I do not recommend this item to dogs with the same problem as mine . My review is based on my own experience with my dog . I have a large dog Rothwile and I gave to him as the same time , following the instructions based on his weight and so far no reaction. So if you dog doesn’t have any sensitive stomach the product works . I recommended.Cibele
