I have been using these large Permate dog houses to house my Nigerian Dwarf goats for many years. They have made "affordable housing" for my goats. I will say that my bucks (boys) are much harder on the houses than the does (girls). Both genders jump on top, but the bucks crack the rain shield by jumping on top of the houses. This happens after a while, not right away. I don't blame the company that makes these because they are intended for dogs, not goats that love to climb! I do wish the tops would be stronger to prevent this problem from happening. Another area to improve design would be for the top to somehow lock on to the base. When my Great Pyrenees (GP) dog goes inside to lay down, the lid can lift/tilt off. The large size is not big enough for a GP. The price keeps going up, and I'm not pleased with having to pay more. I wait until the neighbor club coupon comes out to buy any needed replacement houses. Over the years I've bought countless Permate Large dog houses, so I know these pretty well! Looks very nice and hardy but it floods when it rains, I don't know how but the water gets inside and it is too much water. I put a crate pad inside for my outdoor cat to stay warm and went to check on my cat a few hours later after it rained, and the pad was soaking wet not to mention the house was full of water more water than what was outside . The dog house comes in two parts – top and bottom. They do not snap together; the top merely sits on the bottom. No hardware is provided to attach the two and even if there was there are no holes through which one would thread screws or bolts (or whatever) to keep the dog house together. I use these for my goats because these houses are inexpensive but the goats knowingly and regularly have fun pushing up on the exit/entrance hole to "break" the house into two pieces. Yes, I laugh at their antics but I still plan to drill holes and use nuts/bolts to keep the top and bottom together.L McGaffey

I have used these type of doghouses for years to house my indoor cats' litter pans. Not only do they help to contain the litter that always seems to make it out of the pan, they also act as an odor barrier and preserve my flooring from "over reaches". I love how you get to write your doll's pet's name on the calk part, which makes it very realist compared to a real doghouse. The food and water bowl part is really cute and I love how it comes with a collar, in case you loose a collar for the pet. I love the balls and chew toys and most of all the dog bone, which is really cute and very realistic, once again.The rope toy is cute, too. I also like the bed a lot, though small, I love how colorful it is. I love the house itself, even though it's pretty small for all the things that the set comes with. From the time we opened this until bed time, my daughter didn’t stop playing with this. She even took it outside with her to play with. This dog house is much larger than I thought and for the price totally worth it! OG has added some great thoughtful accessories to this dog house; including the newspaper. I like that you can open the one flap for easier play. This is very helpful for children with younger siblings that want to join in on the play. They can easily access the puppies being placed inside and enjoy the fun. Be careful with younger children as many of the puppy items are small and could be a choking hazard for the hand to mouth little ones. Purchased a second XL house for our two Great Pyrenees because they no longer fit in one together. Our original is over 15 years old and is in great shape. I got this recently on a great sale price… it was half the cost of another dog house that I bought (and returned). The one I ended up returning was designed as an actual house, but cost $100 and the plastic was very flimsy… I felt it wasn't worth the price, and my dog never liked it. I looked online and saw this "dog house" (it's really a crate, IMO); and Petco had the least expensive price, at half the retail cost. I was also able to pick it up the same day at a local store, and received a further discount for picking it up at the store. There's only 2 pieces (a top and a bottom), and the top basically just sits on the bottom, with tabs that are supposed to hold it in place. It's not the most secure, but I don't see this being blown across the yard or anything. The plastic is heavy duty and sturdy… I mean sure, if you live in a tornado or hurricane area, then of course, yes, it'll get toss across the neighborhood; but otherwise, it should stay in place. Great for when you need to leave your pet outside for a while. It's very wide, but not very long though. My dog can curl up in here and he can fit, but he can not stretch out or lay out in this… which is fine, because dogs usually like sleeping curled up and they like snug fitting enclosures to sleep in. My standard size labradoodle fits into it. He uses it to sleep in. This is not something he can stand straight up in or something he can stretch out in… but for sleeping, he loves to curl up in it. I bought it for use outside during the winter or a rainy day, to get out of the cold or rain when I have to put him outside in the yard for a while. We put it inside the house first so that he would get use to it. The one I got said it was for dogs 50-90 lbs., which is the large size. He has no problem getting in and out of this, and he likes it a lot better than the Suncast house shaped doghouse I got him (which I ended up returning). This is plastic, but it's made of heavy duty plastic and it's sturdy; there's only a top and bottom part, and basically the top part sits on the bottom part, with tabs that are supposed to hold the two pieces together. Got these doghouses as an outdoor reprieve from the elements for our 2 Huskies. They are very sturdy and made of solid hard plastic. They've managed to remain dry inside even in a couple of downpours and driving rain. The only time that wasn't the case is when I had one on an uneven patch of grass. So you definitely want to place it on a platform if there's no flat surface. Unfortunately our pups, house dogs that LOVE to go out and play, still haven't embraced the concept of having a private pad "outside." Other than that, it's easy to set up and clean. It has plenty of room for our 70 pounder and is absolutely palatial for the 45 pounder. I got the large size for both since they were so affordable – $44 bucks each! Love the color. Had I known that you have to hold the handle down to create the steam I would have never bought it. I have had other steam machines and never had to do this. If you have any issues with your hands this machine is not for you, ie arthritis. The extra tank for the water does not come out easily, not sure if it is only my machine or others but it is always a struggle. I just purchased this machine back in April, and I have not be able to buy the replacement filter because every time I check on their website it is sold out. The filter is needed to operate the steam cleaner, which I was not aware of, since it really isn't in the description of the product but in the manual once you receive it.pizella

I bought this steamer believing it was going to be amazing for my wood floors. When I used the steamer, it really didn't pick up dirt, it just spread the dirt around more. I tried to contact customer service several times to inquire about a return. After finding the returns instructions it was going to cost me almost as much as the unit to ship back. I have had this Hoover Steam Complete for about a month now and I love everything about it. This steamer is very light weight so it's easy for me to carry around and and steam clean just about everything in my home. I like using this Hoover Steam Complete to Steam clean the the small edges around my sink it the kitchen, I also used it to get all the gunk off of my stove top, I have also use it to steam clean my windows and wow! I can't believe what a easy and wonderful job it did on my windows! They where so spotless when I was finished! There was also a few spots on my couch that I had tried to get out before with a little soap and water but I just made it look worse, so of course when I used this Hoover Steam Complete on the spots it made my couch look so nice again with no spots! This tent is easy to set up (didn't even need the directions) and super roomy. There is plenty of room to stand up, a benefit in buggy or rainy environments. In its first week of use, it survived a big wind storm, hail, and a lightning storm. It weathered all three spectacularly – as did the people inside! We stayed dry and protected with no problem. This tent is spacious, you can stand in it easily. We were 3 people plus a large dog and we slept in a U shape around the dog. Plenty of space. Great for playing cards at night. I had been rigging my dogs summer tent to shelter my stray cat..I fed her, so she’s mine lol…but it just wasn’t cutting it anymore and it is oddly cold this winter here in Alabama. I added a heavy layer of straw, some fleece blankets and she moved right on in! I feel better knowing she is safe, warm, well fed & happy! The kit provided the sturdy kennel hardware that you will need if you don’t have it to fly. I really bought it for the airline sticker that tells you where your dog is flying and who owns the dog as well as the live animal stickers. However, I found once I got to the airport Alaska Airlines has their own stickers so my need for this kit was a waste of money. These are nice dog houses. They are light weight & don't look like they are very warm, but they actually do a good job, my border collies like these a lot. The extra neck or tunnel entrance is nice to give them some extra protection and privacy. They stand up pretty well to puppies chewing on them to. I recommend this dog house.Iowafarmgal

I mistakenly bought the Large doghouse for dogs up to 90 lbs. But my 5 month old coonhound was too large for it. I returned it and ordered the X-large doghouse and it is the right size. Unfortunately, the doghouse was broken in two places, probably due to the way you ship. These doghouses are delivered without any protection and will crack or break when sliding into anything. I will have to repair it to hold it together since I don't trust you are able to send another one without the same issues.Daniel

This thing is so annoying. I purchased it for my daughter this morning (in store for $5 more, ugh) and have had to put that freaking door back on about 50 times already. You look at it funny and it falls off. The slide doesn't connect well, it's always falling off. You put your dog through the front door and it's wedged against the stairs. We where having a hard time getting our cat into our old kennel with just the front door, he does not like going into the kennel but we had to move and he had to go with us. This kennel with the top door worked perfect. This kennel is made very well and sturdy, my old kennel had clips holding it together that broke and fell off, this one has big screws that you hand tighten that look like they will last a while. I use these for my nigerian dwarf and lamancha goats…. In addition to our barn, as additional cover and housing. The little ones got breat but so do the full soze 3 year old lamanchas. We have purchased the Premium Fleece Dog Bed for many of our dogs and they are always enjoyed by our dogs. They seem to find them comfortable to snuggle into the fleece and the soft, cushy filling. They are easy to clean with the quick zip-off cover. They fit nicely in spaces in any room. Our dog also has the LLBean couch bed and has really liked that too. I cover the couch bed with an LLBean dog blanket that I can wash quickly because it is not as easy to remove/replace the couch bed cover for washing as how easily the Premium Fleece Dog Bed cover can be washed. I purchased the Premium Fleece Dog Bed Set, Medium, Rectangular as well as the Replacement Cover in Denim. I have a 12 lb. Chihuahua/Fox Terrier that is about the size of an average Jack Russell or Beagle and she loves, loves, loves her bed. The padding is well made and has a little bit of a groove all around with a little bit of a bump in the center. So it is not completely flat, which I have learned from observing our furry pet that it serves a purpose. She likes to rest within the groove for security. On other days she likes to rest her head and chest on the bump in the center which elevates her a little bit. Our dog used have a cheap bed that became too soft and did not hold up well once it got old. Especially when she laid against the side walls. It had a tendency to flatten out. Plus, it had a plush-life fabric that was too warm in the summertime, and she would hang partially off the bed onto the hardwood floor which is cooler. So, comfort, temperature, structure, and durability were factors taken into consideration in searching for a new bed. I had read reviews about the padding falling apart in the washer or tearing from digging. I have not had to wash the pad because I have covered the bed and denim cover with a crib-size bed pad and a fitted bedsheet for added protection; and because our pooch has always enjoyed the feel and texture of a bedsheet. She just got used to looking for cooling spots on her beds after we tried keeping her cool on other retailer beds that had either foam or cheap fill which caused her become too warm. But she does love her Sherpa adult throw. Not familiar with L.L. Bean pet products, I decided to purchase the bed set that came with the fleece cover and also ordered the replacement cover in denim which is a soft denim. It is not stiff or rough as in jean denim. I was concerned the fleece cover might be too warm, and I wanted to have the option to change from a warmer cover to a cooler one being that it was summertime when my order arrived, so that was the reason in my purchasing the denim replacement cover as well. When my order arrived, I placed the denim cover on the pad and it has held up really well. It doesn't show dirt and our pooch likes it. I was afraid it would rip when she sniffed the bed and began digging but that has not been the case. So it has stood pretty well to that. I have not replaced the denim cover with the fleece cover yet, but weather is starting to change and getting cooler. I will probably change from the denim liner to the Sherpa liner soon. I also want to add that I ordered a medium size bed which is a little bigger than what is recommended for a dog her weight/size because she likes to spread out. That was also one reason why I chose a bed that is not enclosed or has side walls. If it's any help to anyone reading this review, the medium bed is about four inches short the length of a baby crib mattress. It's the best bed I have bought. We use these in our hotel for our guests that bring their dogs and, oh boy, do we get a LOT of guests with adorable dogs of all ages and sizes. These beds are holding up amazingly well through multiple washings. I'm actually here on the LL Bean website to order more because we have had so many dogs staying with us, we have had nights where we did not have enough dog beds to accommodate all of our four-legged guests. I highly recommend these beds. We have the Platinum color and they look very classy and are still so durable and stain-resistant. I bought this 42” crate for an English Cream Golden Retriever puppy that we brought home at 8 weeks old. First night in our home, she went right in the crate and laid down. So for young puppies or small dogs, use the divider until the puppy is crate trained and/or needs more space. Ours is now almost 6 months old and still has never had an accident in her crate. I only used the divider for about two months because my puppy got big, very quickly. This crate is so easy to set up, collapse and take with you on a trip. It’s kind of heavy as all crates are but very manageable and so worth it. You can’t beat this price either! It is well made, affordable, has two doors to choose from depending on how you have it set up. I purchased a crate cover which creates a den like special place for my dog when we leave the house now while we sleep overnight. I also purchased basic crate beds, which are machine washable, light weight and durable. I would buy again and highly recommend this crate for crate training.AC

This dog crate is great! It’s sturdy but not too heavy. That’s important for me because of taking my Sassy girl around with me for traveling and vet appointments. If I put the empty cage in our truck, she’ll jump right in there. There is plenty of room for her to move around and get comfortable. It’s nice that it has the divider. She’s already house trained but it would have been handy for that purpose. My daughter has a mid sized Rottweiler that we can use the divider for too. They get along really well but it’ll give them their own areas if needed. I like the latch system. It makes it really hard to not latch it correctly which means less escaping. Then to open it you just have to lift and slide. I love the.two door feature. It gives you twice the options if you have to put it against a wall or walls.Onebusymama

This dog crate was a complete lifesaver at the holidays! My sister brought her two large dogs to my mom's for Christmas and they are about 50 pounds each and both fit comfortably in this at different times to calm them down. It literally sets up from the box to a working crate within minutes. It is sturdy and comes with a divider inside if you need to keep two animals separate or comes right out if you don't need it. It is super roomy inside and we added the orthopedic cushion in the bottom of the crate for maximum comfort for the dogs. This has been the easiest kennel I've ever set up right out of the box. I have twin boy toddlers and let me just say there is no possible way I can go without a carpet cleaner. Since my boys were born I went from cleaning my carpet a few times a year to a few times a week. I’ve literally had just about every carpet cleaner on the market. I know what I want in a carpet cleaner and either they didn’t meet my expectations or they couldn’t handle the abuse.
My Hoover smartwash pet is by far the best I’ve had. The suction this cleaner has is unbelievable. I’ve read some reviews about it losing suction before I bought it and the only thing I can think of is maybe they’re not putting the lid of the dirty tank on correctly. They’ve made it easy to clean the brushes. My carpet dries very quickly and the dirt that comes out of it is amazing!
It cleans better than the others I’ve had, but I still carry my little hand held scrubber brush to get the ground up stuck to the carpet messes my toddlers are notorious of leaving behind. However I cont think there’s a carpet cleaner out there that can handle that. What this does have is the neat pre treating wand that I can use on the mess before I scrub it, which is awesome! I’ve owned it for a few months now and I can honestly say I’m so happy I found this carpet cleaner. It’s well worth the money! I love it!Jamie Adkins

So far I've used this on two carpets. Our garage (very tight low profile and thin) carpet and our bedroom ( on a very dens plush pile carpet with 1/2" pile). Both carpets were extremely dirty (hadn't been cleaned in years). Both carpets came out looking almost brand new. I'm beside the fact that I didn't get pictures, but trust me, this thing works great! Oh, and even if you already had the Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe, you've got to upgrade! The Power Scrub Deluxe works great, but wait till you get your hands on this baby! There are some things that I don't like about this new cleaner and I will list them here, but this is just so hopefully someone in engineering is listening and can make changes to the next unit: – Carry handle: So unbalanced! Why did you move it from the front of the unit!? If I pick up the unit just from the carry handle, it tips over. Especially with water tank full. – If going really slow forward, sometimes the unit things I've stopped and goes into the dry mode and stops spraying solution. I was going pretty darn slow though so not sure if this can be fixed without a manual override. – Water splashes out of the side (mostly on the left side) past the reach of the vacuum. Enough to leave a long streak the length I've pushed forward. Since it's mostly on the left, I've decided to work my way from left to right to be sure and vacuum up that excess water. Maybe a shield is needed to prevent this. -As with my last unit. getting right against walls on wall to wall carpets is impossible. Luckily those are less traveled areas, but unfortunately since this thing cleans so well, there is a noticeable difference between what is scrubbed and what is not. But WOW! this thing cleans well! My last Hoover carpet cleaner lasted 10 years. So we wanted to buy another Hoover product. The machine we bought is very easy to use. Does a great job cleaning and is very easy to clean the machine when finished. All covers and tanks can be removed without the use of any tools, brilliant. Including the rotating brushes. My only concerned about this machine is the plastics are all very light weight. So durability is a concern. I'll have to be very careful when using this machine so as not to damage it. Other than that I'm very happy with its performance. A very well designed carpet cleaner.Will

Excellent opening size for our pet who is 18 lbs. I purchased the Medium opening. Our sliding door is a custom height of 12 FT, not a normal height, so using the extension included with the patio panel still doesn’t reach the top of the sliding door, which of course is not the problem of the manufacturer of this product. We remedied the problem by using and cutting to size a disposable hard foam cooler, fitted with a foam edge window and door sealer in order to eliminate cool and hot air from coming in and out. It’s not perfect, but works for our pet and for our use.Grace

I currently own 2 doggy door slider inserts from a competitor brand. I got this PetSafe insert to replace one of my inserts that is worn out, and I am so glad I did! At first glance you can see that the PetSafe is far superior to my competitor door. Upon quick exploration, I could feel that the PetSafe door was much better quality. The PetSafe door itself is more substantial and heavy duty just off the bat. I like that spring-loaded panel at the top of the door is taller (than my competitor brand) so that it can accommodate more sizes of sliders. I have multiple different heights of sliders at my house so that gives me more options of doors for me to place the insert in. This is beneficial to me when I have a party for example because I can give my dogs indoor/outdoor access to a secluded part of my house when young children are over. The second part I really like is the extra security with the locking panel to close the doggy door. Whereas my competitor version only has a plastic lock that could easily be broken into by potential intruders, the PetSafe has a very secure metal pin lock. Third, I appreciate that this insert has a slight tint to it. My competitor version does not. When I open the doggy door in the early morning in my bedroom I "hook" my curtains around my original slider handle for my dogs to access the door and I go back to sleep. The tinting on this insert is at least some attempt to block out the daylight. Finally, I like that they include some weather striping to help combat some unwanted drafts. Although I would recommend to combo the weather stripping provided with foam weather stripping to really complete the seal. Overall, I highly recommend this PetSafe doggy door insert, their attention to detail is prevalent making their door superior to competitors.MamaBear34

I'm giving it three stars because it is working but for the price, I expected a higher-quality item. In some ways this unit is too thin for my patio door track and is floppy, and in other ways – specifically the attachment brackets and the door "latch" – it is too wide. I had to come up with another way to fix the panel in place, then insert foam tape because it kept flapping when the door was used or the wind blew too hard, and then buy separate security bars for the patio door. Not ideal. And I also plan that I will need to remove it if I leave for an extended period of time, as this thing is a serious security vulnerability in the home's perimeter now…not that most adults don't already fit through an extra large pet door opening. I wish this had a full closure panel – aluminum, hinged. Maybe I should have just made something custom since I can't cut a hole in the wall of my rental house for an electronic security dog door.Julie D
