Cocker has “dry eyes and prescribed steroids and cyclosporine twice daily each eye. Suspect his extremely elevated liver enzymes may be due to long term steroid use or could just be his age. Haven’t tested for Cushing’s but sonograms reveal no tumors on liver or pituitary glands. He was lethargic and never feeling well until his doctor advised trying the Denamarin. His Opthalmologist concurred it was a great idea. Haven’t yet tested his liver enzymes again to see if the numbers have improved (hasn’t been on them quite a full month) but I’ve reordered and will receive the pills monthly. Bottom line: he’s a lot more energetic, playing with his toys again, not sleeping all the time, just overall feeling so much better. He’s acting normal again—normal for an 11-plus year-old Cocker. Did a lot of research before giving him the Denamarin and felt they were safe, and most people had positive results using it. Only drawback would be that the pills for large dogs are really big. You’re supposed to administer 1 hr before or 2 hrs after a meal, which I do with a little piece of boiled chicken breast to hide it and help it go down, and it goes down without a problem. Can’t imagine any dog of any size being able to swallow a pill that size without an owner hiding it in a little chunk of something, cheese, pill pocket, treat. Anything to help it go down easier. And helps if they drink a little water. Can’t wait to have his liver enzymes tested again. I’m confident they will have improved. Side note: when one’s liver is not working properly, urine can have an odd and strong odor, which his did. Standing several feet away, I knew something wasn’t right. I have a 12 year old female Husky. Recently she started favoring one of her front paws. So much so that she eventually was holding it up and now using it to walk. I can't really say much about this because I can't take it myself and my dog can't tell me what they think about it but what I could tell you is that These are the perfect size for large sized dogs. They do have a stinky dog food/smell to it and you definitely gotta wash your hands after handling it. My dog normally does not take anything other than treats however he thinks this is a treat and has no problem taking it. He doesn't fight me about it and he doesn't spit it out or any of that. I am hoping overtime that we see a difference and that this works effectively as effectively as it's intended to. Over all I would recommend it to any dog owners. These seem to be great. Both of my dogs LOVE them. We have a 2 year old French Bulldog as well as a 8 year old Boxer, and both dogs seem to absolutely love them, as well as they both do great with them. No runs throw up etc.. I'm not gunna lie and say I know they work as far as Hip and Joints go, because unfortunately I cant talk to my dogs so they cant relay how they feel to me and neither one of them have problems as of right now, but what I do know is both of my dogs breeds are known for joints and hip problems, especially Ozzie our little Frenchie, so I feel like anything like this with a good ingredients list cant hurt as long as the dogs body is accepting them without obvious problems. Also, French bulldogs are more prone to having reactions and allergy problems etc, but Ozzie does great with these and has had no obvious problems, reactions, side effects etc.. So overall I am VERY happy with these, as well as my 2 pups, they both go crazy when I dig these out. They are SUPER stinky to us humans lol so they must taste amazing for them. I do think the high price is kind of crazy, but hey, everything in this world is crazy so not surprised. You do get quit a bit in this tub and they will last awhile for us as i don't religiously give these to our dogs everyday. They have many other snacks so I just mix these in and they only get these every few days. Overall great to treat your 4 legged friends with. My dogs really like these Ark Naturals Joint Rescue squares. They have a beefy flavor and are soft chewy squares. I have 2 dogs and my littlest dog is really picky. However she Really liked these and I’m so glad. She has just started having some signs of arthritis in her knees and these have a lot of good ingredients to help her with that. They have glucosamine, MSM, chondroitin and sea cucumber. And they are also gluten free. They also say they never use wheat, corn, soy, or artificial ingredients. The Ark Naturals Joint Rescue chicken flavored treats offer a great healthy supplement for doing pain omg with the reward of a tasty treat. Of course our 15 year old lab has some trouble getting around with those old bones so the glucosamine is a must. He loves the treats I might add! The packaging is very nice and thick with a zip seal for freshness. The information regarding your dogs health and explaining what is in the treats and what benefit these treats have to offer is excellent for the customer shopping. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that for our lab they recommend for 40+ pounds to give 4-5 square treats a day. That is a lot each day and our lab would go through a package very quickly which can get expensive. I would definitely recommend this product, however. I know dental care is important for my dogs (two bad Corgis). Once they grew in all their adult teeth I went on a quest to find the perfect dental chew to supplement the occasional brushing. I started where most of us would start – the cheapest chews I could find. Over the next year I tried them all. Some my dogs liked, but I would notice their teeth weren't being cleaned or their breath stunk more than normal. Others they wouldn't touch. Finally, after working my way up the ladder of dog dental chews I got to Greeneis and have not gone back since. They have been using Greenies now for close to two years (Dogs are now 3 and 4). Sure, they still have dog breath but it's not foul like it was with those other dental chews. I also notice very minimal plaque on their teeth, which I keep tabs on regularly. What sealed the deal was when I took them to the vet for a check up the first year they had been getting their Greenies and the vet remarked how excellent their teeth looked. I told her I seldom brushed their teeth anymore but gave them a Greenie each morning, which she nodded in approval. The cons? It's expensive compared to other dental chews, but I can't put a price on my dogs. These are the only ones that seemed to work that they like. I've also noticed some supply issues lately where it can be a pain to find them in the regular size. But most importantly, my dogs love their Greenies. I've had a variety of dogs throughout the years, and I've always fed them Greenies. They're simple to digest AS LONG AS THE DOG DOESN'T SWALLOW THEM WHOLE AND CHEWS THEM! These treats are designed to be eaten, and they can help a dog's teeth and oral health. They're completely natural and come in a variety of sizes, including little ones for my Chihuahua. I feed the large one to my pit bull/boxer mix. They are not suitable for dogs with dental problems such as poor teeth or gum diseases since the dog must be able to chew them apart and consume them. Honestly I was very leary about purchasing these. I have read about some brands in the past that were horrible for dogs but after reading the reviews I decided to purchase a small bag and try it out. Both my pointer pups like the dog treats. I don't give them the treats every day but instead about every three or four days. There is already a difference in the amount of plaque on their teeth.
