I've tried numerous harnesses and never loved any until this one. I have a miniature rat terrier who is 13.5 lbs. He tends to be too big for mediums and way too small for large sizes. Finally, this harness fits perfectly in Medium! There's even a little room to spare in case he gets larger. We wanted to take off pressure from his neck and the v neck design and light weight, soft mesh is great! It's by far the softest one I've ever felt, and I've tried every one at multiple stores. It's so comfortable that it could be left on all the time even in summer since it's so breathable. My dog lives it too! He seems to feel safe and calmer in it like a thunder shirt makes him feel. The first time I took him on a walk he seemed to feel "free". He was so happy to pounce around without worrying about a jerk in his neck. We give this one 5 stars!!!! I got this in black, size medium from Amazon. She has a 12" neck and a 19" chest. This harness is adjustable around both neck and chest. My pup has a high chase drive and will sometimes pull suddenly. I like that the x-shape doesn't put as much pressure on her throat when she pulls, and the double d-rings and buckle closure feel very secure for her leash. My last harness had Velcro straps and as time went on the Velcro began to wear out so in less than a year I couldn’t use the harness any more. So when I started looking for a replacement I specifically tried to find one that was high quality with no Velcro so it would last a long time. I got this harness for my golden retriever, who is about 80 pounds. He’s big but he’s lean, and I got an XXL for him. However, this harness DID NOT fit! An XXL didn’t fit my GOLDEN RETRIEVER, an averagely large dog. I expanded all the straps as long as they would adjust and it still was too small. I’m pretty disappointed, as there aren’t any sizes larger than this. What kind of dogs are they making this harness for if an XXL won’t fit a Goldie? The reason I gave it 1 star was because it felt well made and it looked really nice, but other than the look I wouldn’t give it any stars. The straps were rough nylon and seemed like they would chafe if worn for an extended period of time. I have a 6 lb puppy, 3 months old. I have been trying various harnesses. This seem to be the best as far as a step in harness. It seems my pup has a short neck so the over the head harness comes to close to his chin and he is able to get his mouth around the top. This harness is a step in harness easier to get on. However, since it is an XS it could have been a little narrower around the paw holes. It seems to come right up to the shoulder joint. Also the "D" hooks for the leash do not lay flat if you are at the tightest fit. Because of that, I remove the harness while indoors, especially when playing with other pups. Will be returning. Our Yorkie mix weighs 10 lbs and measured 14 inches around her chest. Based on the size chart, we ordered her a size Small. We paid extra for shipping. When it got here, it looked tiny. I adjusted the straps and tried putting it on our pup but it’s too small! It barely went over her head and wouldn’t close even at the largest adjusted strap point. Either your size chart is wrong or your product is mislabeled. I will be returning this harness. Which is too bad because I love the harness she has from your company but it is stinky now and the smell won’t wash away. I won’t be ordering another harness from you because I won’t be paying shipping again and it may not fit and I’ll have to return.LoveBlueDiamonds
I like this harness! I have a mini aussie and he is a chewer. Sometimes with these he will somehow find his way to nibble around the edges of the harness and tear through it. (We’ve been through 3 harnesses) Anyways, I wish it were a little easier to out on with the clip that has to go through the strap but I guess thats why he is so secure. Still would recommend this product though as its better than collars for dogs throats!sarah.a

We have a very active chocolate lab and this harness fits well and works like a dream. Front-attach harnesses work to destabilize the dog so you are not in a tug of war. Everyone we have suggested this harness to is a believer because it makes walking the dog less of a battle. Eventually the clips loosen with wear and when our dog jumps they sometimes now release so we needed to buy a new the harness. My dog was btwn sizes, so I took him on a little road trip to the store to get the right fit. Gilbert is horribly nervous in cars, pet stores, vets, with his own shadow, etc. but the amazing Wooftown employee (L) sat down on the floor with the harnesses and kindly waited as he calmed down.
