Our dog twice got foxtail seeds in his paws which lead to serious infections. He missed a hunting trip and the second time his paw was huge with the infection and had to be lanced. Poor fella. Google brought me to the natural dog company because my dogs paws were the stuff off nightmares. Paw pads that look like hair which I learned was hyperkeratosis. Supposedly there is no cure for this. But I thought at the very least this would give him some relief as he must have been in some pain. Well he looks so much better already. The paws got soft enough that I was able to "trim" the filaments off sightly. Yes it was as gross as it sounds lol. He is not fully cured yet but his paws are so much closer to normal already. I thought this was way too good to be true. My dog- Victoria, a catahoula- has severe allergies and has to be on a special diet, take medications, etc. even then, she has still had really bad allergies and chews her paws and legs. I run and walk my border collie 7-9 miles everyday and his paws were always rough so I decided to try this…within 1 week his cracks were almost all gone and his pads were really bad…deep skin cuts are almost fully gone!!! I purchased this spray in the hopes that it will help my puppy stop chewing on the furniture. After reading the reviews, I felt confident enough to place an order. As it came, the outside was a little sticky from the product (which wasn't a problem), so I got to work spraying the areas where she'd been chewing. After about an hour, I was eating and accidentally licked my finger (I had washed my hands many times since then) and holy cow, this stuff tastes awful! I wanted to tear my tongue out of my mouth until it was fully flushed! While it did not work for my dog, it did for me! ALSO, the company's owner contacted me and asked if I was pleased. I told her it didn't work, and she gave me a FULL REFUND as well as the option to retain the product and give it to a friend or family member who has a pet who could benefit from it. Very bitter! Keep your mouth shut and avoid talking while spraying this, and wash your hands thoroughly afterward. It's really bitter, and you'll taste it for yourself if you don't! We learned from the internet that you should first give your puppy a taste on a cotton ball or something, then hold his water up for 30 minutes to an hour so he doesn't think he should just drink water to get rid of the taste. We sprayed the furniture he can't stop chewing after that, and it worked pretty good. To keep things bitter, you'll probably have to reapply every day or several days, but it's worked well for our Australian shepherd puppy.Emily

I used this product previously because my male dog is a poop eater. It's the first thing that has ever worked to stop the behavior. It went out of stock in Aug and so was so disappointed. When it came back in stock I ordered 2 jars, not thinking that anything would have changed. I could tell by the smell it was not the same product anymore. Within a week of giving it to both my dogs, I knew it wasn't the same because my male was still eating poop. I emailed the company and was told it had changed including going from peanut butter flavor to chicken which my dog is allergic to. My money was refunded which I appreciate, but I just wish the ingredients would be changed back.
We have a Pyr Mix puppy that has been indulging in our other dogs feces, gross, to say the least. Outside of picking up poop asap on a two acre lot and hot sauce or cayenne, we wanted to try a potential additive in feeding that would help deter. We have been using for almost a month and after two weeks we noticed a difference that he isn't going to fresh stool, but instead walking away. I've noticed that if I miss picking up, he will still look for it after it dries out a bit. I expect maybe it loses potency in deterrent after it sits out a while, but we are committed to see this through to make up our minds. Five stars as of now, commit first before deciding – even a little help goes a long way!
I have two Great Danes who this winter started eating their own and each other's poop. No change in food. I tried the product For Bid with no results. I found it to be worthless. I have been using the Chew No Poo Bites for about two and a half weeks. It seems to be working. I have not seen any instances of the former behavior, but the jury is still out as to whether this will continue. That is the only reason I did not give it five stars. I got two months worth for them. The other question is when I stop giving it will they go back to their old habits?

I adopted two very rambunctious puppies and bought many bottles of Grannick's Bitter Apple to deter them from chewing on things like furniture, shoes, etc. I tried other deterrents as well as puppy chew toys. In my opinion, Grannick's works the best. I gave this product four stars because the pump strayer was defective on a several bottles and did not spray. The liquid just dribbled out. I had to buy a spray bottle to properly apply it. Note: The product may stain. I used it anyway because I did not want the puppies to destroy my sofa. Also, I had to reapply it until my puppies learned that my sofa tastes bad and puppy chew toys taste good. Prior to the puppies, I used Grannick's Bitter Apple on my older dog. You have to do more than just ONE spraying I have two 9 month old Staffordshire Bull Terriers that will eat chew thru anything! Of Couse love my slippers. My avid little mouser cat caught herself a little prize just a few days before a month-prior planned trip my husband and i were unavoidably about to go to. Apparently that mouse had bitten her back in the process, right on her tender little lip cleft! Before we knew it, that bite had gotten infected so bad she became lethargic, her face swollen an angry shade of red, she could not eat or even drink on her own and she could not even close her mouth and was drooling on herself. Because of the covid situation and proximity of timing to our trip to see family, there was no way to get her to a vet in time before we had to leave in 3-4 days. We did cut our weekend trip short by a day out of concern for her, but when we came back she was doing significantly better in that the swelling was down, but was reddened again. Using this for hot spots on my canine, this stuff does work but it sometimes can take up to 2 8oz. Bottles to heal the area's treated. Not sure if it's the strength of medicine or just those stubborn spots. I caught the spots early on and started treating them immediately and have been treating them for a month now and they are getting better but slowly, these things are stubborn. I can say that absolutely nothing else I tried worked. Believe it or not, I read online the other day that rubbing Pepto Bismol on hot spots actually works, you heard right, Pepto Bismol. I haven't had the nerve to try it as I thought it could just be some nut trying to infect your pet even worse. So I have a beabull, mostly English bulldog. Heās a 7/8 mix. Out of nowhere his cute little black nose started getting crusty and cracked. I waited a while and it didnāt let up. I bought this for my dogās (14 year old Shar Pei) keratin buildup on his nose and paws. It dissolved the stuff great and I was able to wipe off the stuff on his paws after one application. That was really impressive. My dog has fairly mild Hyperkeratosis but his nose gets a fairly thick layer of buildup, and this product allows you to remove it fairly easily after a few applications over a couple days and a cooperative pooch. I was really impressed with how well it worked. I use it now preventatively which prevents bad buildup on his nose and paws, so all in all Iām certainly a big fan. I recommend at least the 2oz can if you think youāll use it on the paws. The 2 oz can generally lasts me a couple months even with multiple applications per day. Zesty Paws Probitoic Bites are cute: Heart-shaped treat, in a can't-miss sturdy orange container. Each heart-shaped treat is soft but sturdy; its form is well retained which makes for easy splitting. I started my dog on the half treat dose for a week or so. My dog loves pumpkin flavor and food in general, so there were no issues with consumption. This particular formulation is labeled Gut Health which is great, but unfortunately, my dog's gut is extremely sensitive and every morning he vomited. I can't say for certain if Zesty Paws Probiotic Bites was the cause, but I took him off of the probiotic after a week and the vomiting ceased. Although I cannot continue using this probiotic, I would still recommend to friends and family with pets who have less sensitive stomachs. I purchased these for my Kimi and Kenny in training. they have sensitive stomach and eats grain free high-quality food. they having some issues with having soft stools which made it difficult to clean up behind her.
