My Labrador had stitches in her front leg right on the ankle joint so it was at high risk of infection as very close to the bone. I was hoping this would negate the need for the huge buster collar however, she would still lick at it through the sleeve and make it wet therefore increasing the risk of infection to the wound. She therefore still had to wear the buster collar as well as the sleeve to stop her licking it. Within a couple of days, there was a hole in the material of the sleeve and since then, a further tear has developed, so the quality of the material is not that good. She has also worked out how to get her leg out of it so all in all, it hasn’t been that great! That said, I would still recommend using one as it was better than not having the wound covered at all but for me, it didn’t negate the need for a buster collar unfortunately.Julieann

1 Very happy owner and one calm snoring Dog. He`s been at the top of his leg the last few days and licked it raw . No socks long enough and a long sleeved T shirt was not a success . Ordered this sleeve out of desperation . Money well spent ….. came in a flash and as soon as I put it on he seemed really excited and happy, running round barking the way he does before we go a walk. Now he`s sleeping and not looked at his leg once. Its made of a sweatshirt type fabric , the leg size is more important than body girth as there is lots of Velcro and poppers so easy to adjust so it fits comfortably , I`m glad I did not go for the XL as his chest measurement was borderline the L fits perfectly. Tip to anyone whose dog is prone to chewing….. Deep Heat spray a little on the outside of the fabric& let it dry before you put it on them. Dogs don't like the smell and wont lick /Chew.Mary

This item was recommended by a vet as my dog wouldn’t stop licking an open sore. We tried the common collar but she’s just too old for that and it was distressing for us both. My Sheltie, who has severe arthritis in his front pws, is starting to experience hind end weakness. He is toeing in and wobbly. The hock brace provides light support that he can tolerate all the time. It's a tad hard to get the velcro to not tangle in the fur, but otherwise it is easy to put on. Hopefully it will help Cordell stay mobile and comfortable. It certainly helps him get up after lying on the hard floor!Cathy

It cost as much or more as adult person leg brace , and not at all as much material. Should be cheaper. It did not have on it ,which is left or right leg. It didn't come up as far as i thought it would on the leg. Very uncomfortable my fur baby didn't like it . Its just collecting dust . I am going to have to modify it myself, to make it work.evannit21

Our dog tore his ACL a little while back. The doctor is trying to treat it to see if we can get by without surgery. He recommended knee braces but all the ones we found didn't have the support in them like these do.Erica

I can't really review Hip & Joint as well as I thought I was going to be able to. It doesn't really compare well to other supplements like this that I've tried, and I wouldn't consider purchasing it either. I wasn't aware of Hip & Joint before trying them, and I'm not sure I would recommend them to cat owners, but I would probably recommend them to dog owners. I have four cats and only one out of the four of them would even eat them. The other three cats just walked away, and then I had to pick up the other three before my fourth cat ate all of them. The one and only cat that actually did eat them started spraying in my house, which he has never done before taking Hip & Joint. I immediately stopped giving them to him, and he immediately quit spraying. I gave the Hip & Joint to a friend who has 2 adult dogs, and she is excited about trying them in place of her regular supplements. I wish I could have given a better review, but this is my opinion. We adopted a 13 year old dog at the start of the year. His joints were clearly very stiff when we got him and he had trouble with a lot of normal movement and dog behaviour. I bought these and after giving them to him for only a week we saw clear improvement. Now he stretches every day with front and back legs out, scratches himself behind the ears, and is able to reack his back legs to clean them. He will even run a little sometimes. He manages to go down the stairs where before he would stumble and fall. He seems overall happier and more spry. He likes the chews a lot, so it's no problem getting him to eat them even though he is a very picky dog. They are also very easy to break in two for very small dogs. My dogs love them! I have 2 large dogs (155 lbs & 130 lbs) so I wish the sticks were bigger, but they just love them as a tasty, little snack. If I give them more than one treat, they always choose the calming dog chews first. I think it's even helped with their doggie breath too. I'm sure it helps with calming, but since I just give them one and because of their size, I'm sure they would need more for it to be really effective. So it's hard to say definitely if it's helped my pups with that, but I feel based on the ingredients that it should/does.Kristine P

This product is a lifesaver! Tried soo many different things for a skin tag on my pup's back leg. Its just on the other side of his hock, so bandages limited his mobility and he ended up pulling most of them off. He’s 11 and has never had a cone in his life. This is comfortable for him and actually gives him some stability. He has not tried to pull it off once and his skin tag is finally healing. Our 4 year old lab tore his acl and vet recommended 3 weeks of basic crating with pain medications. Tried it for 2 weeks and saw no improvement. I am an orthopedic nurse so I asked about brace and was told not too successful. Easily measured my dog per website / ordered and received in 3 days. Brace has made a huge improvement in our dog. I got these chews for my little guy with chronic back and knee pain. He takes a daily dose of Carprofen (doggie ibuprofen) that I would like to get him off of since it is hard on his liver and kidneys. I'm hoping that these joint and hip chews will help make that happen. I like that these chews are made in the USA as at least the ingredients used in pet food products are regulated by the FDA. When you buy pet food products from other countries, it is a crapshoot if what you are buying is even safe for your pet. I also like that this formula is veterinary approved. As for flavor, my dogs will eat them, with caution. I have some aggressive snackers that usually gulp down treats the moment it enters their lips. This chew they actually take time to eat which lends me to believe that they are "on the fence" about the flavor. They are squishy so they are easy to break apart by hand which is convenient. Overall, I would recommend these chews. I am looking forward to using them a while longer to see if my dogs' movement will improve.MamaBear34

I have an elder rescue who's been having issues with joint pain and discomfort. Since she has started taking these chews. She is able to go on walks without limping as much after. Her limp is not gone but improved. She enjoys the extra treats and finds them super tasty. The chews are soft and easy for older pets who may have issues with their teeth. The packaging is nice. I like that it's resealable and has an air vent for freshness. It gives me the reassurance that I'm giving my dog a healthy fresh and tasty treat that helps her feel better. I've like that ingredients come from the United States and Canada. My 85 lb. Plot Hound (Buddy) likes the taste of theses chews. I like that all the ingredients aide in hip and joint health. Plot Hounds can suffer from hip dysplasia. Hopefully these will help in the offset of this. He's a active 4 year old and I want him to stay that way. He has no stomach upset or loose bowels. This is my third order of the Wholistic Pet – Joint Mobility All In One Supplement..After being told that my 70lb Pitbull mix would require surgery for a cruciate knee tear, I looked into some alternatives, hoping to be able to help him a bit before the procedure. My 1.5 year old pup is not an ideal candidate for surgery becasue he is extremely skittish and after this particular surgery, would require several weeks of seclusion from the other two dogs as to heal properly. He is quite bonded to them and does not like to be alone. I found this product and figured I would give it a try. Within two weeks, he began gently putting his foot down here and there and within the first month of giving this product twice a day in his food, (I buy the 2 lb tub) he began putting all of his weight on his leg. My 70 lb mix breed has had joint issues from a young age – hip dysplasia and lingering effects from being hit by a motorcycle. I had him on a regular glucosamine supplement thru my vet for a couple years, but it's effectiveness diminished over time. By age 8, he was VERY uncomfortable and limited in his activity. I have 2 dogs: a 16-year-old with arthritis in his hips, and a 4 year old with a partially torn ACL. Our lab was taking shots at the vet monthly for joint pain that started around 13 years old, eventually they also prescribed pain pills to take as needed. She no longer needs the shots. Our vet suggested this product after her shots were not as effective, she was slow getting around. She no longer needs the shots, lab will be 15 in three months and she has been jogging when outside playing in the last several months and we cannot remember the last time she was able to do that. While this product is a bit expensive, as everything else is that my vet wants me to put my dog on, the product does help a lot. I can tell a difference between now and before my 11year old dachshund started this product. He is also taking Phycox with it for his joints. He was taking Phycox first, but it didn't help enough…maybe because of his age and problems worsening with age. He is walking better and sometimes runs around playing. He had a hard time going up and down steps outside to go potty. My vet wanted me to keep him from going up and down steps or jumping up or down on furniture. Dachshunds shouldn't be doing this anyways because of their predisposition to back and joint issues. I still try to keep him from going up or down steps, even though he is doing better. But, since taking this product, he doesn't always wait for me at bottom of steps to pick him up, as he used to do when in more pain. I just ensure I keep watch to try and catch him before he gets to the steps. So, I know it is helping. He doesn't limp nearly as much now. He only limps a little here and there. He was limping almost all the time before the Movoflex. I'd also like to mention that prices on eBay have already started going up since my dog started taking this product about 6 months ago. So, when I found this pack of two that is just a little cheaper, I made the purchase. Every dollar counts when your pets are taking meds that cost more than my copays/meds. I should also add that, per my vet's recommendation, when purchasing things like this on eBay, you should always call the company that makes the product to confirm the lot# and expiration date on container, so you will know for sure it is real product, and can have eBay make them return your money if it isn't. Many people will sell products to us and they are not the real thing. Pets could be taking something that isn't even what you thought you bought. I have tried other products that contain glucosamine chondroitin and MSM but I found that nothing was as helpful to my dogs CCL treatment as this product. Whatever they use in this product, I find, is more effective than other products I have used.Maureen

My 10 year old cat was literally dying because she could not eat and was getting too weak to drink. She was getting palliative, hospice type care but I didn't want her to starve to death. I searched for high calorie nutritionally sound feline supplemental food that required the smallest amount to compensate for her lack of eating. I came across this and decided to give it a try. My cat was so sick I had to use a feeding syringe to get it into her but she tolerated it and sure enough it was enough to get her to gain weight and strength and start eating again best she can. Turns out she has Horner's Syndrome and half her face is paralyzed. Without this she would have died. I'm so thankful I found this product. I take care of feral cats and I Trap, Neuter, and Release (TNR) them in order to decrease the cat population in my neighborhood. When spaying a female cat, you have to keep them for at least 4 days for them to appropriately heal and have the affects of the anesthesia to wear off completely. One of the ferals that I trapped was a skin-and-bones female that was really too young to be having the kitten she was towing around with her. So I trapped her and her only surviving female kitten, had them both fixed and proceeded to "Fatten them up" and have them heal completely. "Under the Weather" Ready-Cal was the perfect supplement to give to both mamma and baby while they healed. I kept mamma in my care for one month because she was so pathetically thin. In that month, Mamma's coat changed from a rusty brown to a glossy black. She gained weight to where you could no longer feel her ribs poking through her fur. She did not like indoor life AT ALL and could not be socialized or handled, so she was released back to her outdoor home. I continue to feed Mamma every day, even built her an outdoor heated shelter in my fenced in yard. She is very content now. She now loves people, but cannot be picked up off the ground or lifted, but allows petting and head scratches. As for her kitten, she socialized very well, is awesome at vet visits and handling, and doubled in size very quickly because of the added Ready-Cal supplement and gained weight at a rate of 1lb/month. Her blood work came back from the vet as perfect. She was de-wormed, de-fleaed, and now is added to our family as a "foster-fail" which means that she is just too stinking cute to adopt out, so I kept her as part of our family. Under the Weather "Ready-Cal" is now expected on their food during all feedings. If I put their wet food down without the Ready-CAL supplement they sniff it as something is not quite right with the food. Once I apply it to the food, they lick the brown calorie-dense "goop" (as my husband calls it) off the top of the food first, then they dig into and eat the rest. I do not feel that the kitten and Mamma cat would have recovered so fully and have such good health now if it was not for the Ready-Cal supplement. I continue to give Mamma cat the supplement every day because she is an outdoor cat, and they burn more calories being outside. It's quite expensive, but seeing how healthy she is, makes it all worth it.Kaleigh

I first bought this product thinking it was a glucosamine supplement, but it turned out to be better than expected. It is good for the daily aches and has glucosamine. I am not giving it 5 stars becuase it is misleading about how much needs to be used per lb of dog and so it used up much more quickly.Beckah

Our dog Buddy is over 100 pounds and his rear legs have betrayed him. We were using a towel to help him up but its not as easy as it sounds. The handle on the carelift allows for an easier lift and allows me to stabilize his wobbling while walking. Buddy likes it as wellfmcnulty

I love this thing, i bought it hoping it will stop my 10 year old border collie from chewing up his legs. I have had a long drawn out battle, spending a fortune trying to get him to stop, i have tried wrapping it but he has ripped it off multiple times. As a last resort i tried this. He didn't seemed bothered by it at all. As soon as i put it on he totally ignored it. He went on playing like it wasn't even there. He had it on all day. His legs are already looking so much better. We are very happy with this purchase. Our Brittany, Scout, has a lick wound on her front leg. Her vet said she's too old to deal with the cone of shame, and bandaging it didn't work well, so this is the perfect solution, plus it looks quite sporty! Love the Velcro!! Makes for a perfect fit. Mostly this is a well-made product except there is a snap (like a garter belt) on the leg straps that keeps coming off making the entire harness useless. This had the potential to be a good product except for leg straps coming off.emf100

Just got this rear end harness for me 13 year old Golden.. He has an abdominal mass so other lifters that lift primarily in that area will not work. as long as the hip straps on this are not loose, it lifts from the hips.. He has been wearing it around the house and to go outside in case he falls in the back as his hind end is failing..FosterBeanDog

Certainly did the trick for my little dog. Usually whines , throws up etc. even a short distance ride in car. Took him on a 2 hour drive and yea no throwing up, no winning and slept on the way home 4 hours later. . I also used pheromone spray when we left and that also contributed to his being calm. He is 14 lbs. and I just gave him ½ of pill. I am so glad I tried this and certainly will again. Rescue dogs often feel abandoned & this helped my little guy. .2rediculous
