This is such a great product – I'm extremely happy we purchased this. We got it for an upcoming tent camping trip. Our dog typically sleeps in her crate at night but its too large and being metal we were afraid it would rip the tent. I found this item and couldn't be more pleased! Super convenient in its carrying case, very easy to put together, and even comes with stakes in case you do want to use it outside and make sure it doesn't blow away. For the cost too – this is such a great purchase! Notes: the color is more of a burnt orange color. The front/back zipper onto the middle section. We did opt to add another layer of cushion because the one provided is quite thin. We have a 50lb small-ish pit who likes to be super comfy all the time.
I purchased one of these right after I moved into our current home, which was over five years ago. It held up beautifully. I would take it out and hose it down now and again to keep it clean and dustless. I decided to replace it only because the dog loves it so much and it was starting to look a little shabby. He had chewed on the mesh door when he was younger and made a hole, and I was no longer able to zip him into it for the night because he would just force himself through that hole. I was very happy to see that they still make pretty much exactly the same product, although I probably shouldn't have been because it's such a good-quality item other people would surely re-buy it too. It is utilized in our camper for our 90 pound chocolate lab. She fits well enough to lay down and it was not wrecked the first few uses, but she is crate trained. I do however believe the bottom material could've used some more reinforcement as a dog that size wont take much to make an accidental rip. This crate tucks in nicely by the bed. I had to twist the crate to get it to fit, but since it is soft sided, it was easy to do. I have 2 long haired miniature dachshunds, and they both have plenty of room and are really happy to have their blankets and sleeping space. The crate is well made and is perfect for my needs. I looked at a number of options and could not find another crate as narrow as this one. The metal door is easy to close and I was able to flip it so the door opened the direction I needed. The only negative is with the limited space, the opening radius of the door is fairly limited. Both my dogs can easily fit, but depending on the space in your unit, a larger dog might have troubles fitting through the door. This is not really a kennel, more like a pop up shelter as it will not really confine a dog or cat that wants to get out of it. I use it to create a den-like atmosphere for my dog, a go to place when we are travelling. The fold out sides do not have adequate support so unlike the photos, the zipper section of each side hangs down minimizing the interior space. This is exactly the size I needed for small dog for transporting in car on long trips. Plenty roomy and lots of side “ windows” for looking out. Fits perfectly in the car seat and and put the seat belt on to hold it. The mesh opening makes it easy in and out. Fairly sturdy zipper closure. It folds flat and comes with a carry/ storage bag. The bottom is not super sturdy even with the included pad, but am able to carry our dog in it in and out of a hotel as she is a lightweight . A red folding carrier was available on this site for only 9.99. I paid much more for this carrier because every photo conveyed it as a soft, grayish green and white that perfectly matched my decor. We received a saturated, dark green carrier with cream accents. We're using it to conceal our cat's litter box, so the color matters. Love the convenience of this kennel – zips apart into three pieces and folds down completely flat into a carrying case that's included. Can be used indoor/outdoor. Zippers work well, and minimal mesh is nice. Still very breathable. This one came with a mat unlike many others available. It is a pretty thin mat but that's okay, my puppy prefers it. Now, she is a 4-month old puppy and I never would have used this to crate train her. She would have shredded it to bits trying to get out. This should only be used for crate-trained dogs, and not doing so is where all of the bad reviews for this type of crate come from, I think. The first night we had this, we opened the door to let her out and she refused to come out! Just rolled over and went back to sleep. My main complaint is that there is no handle or anything to assist in carrying / transporting the crate when folded; you have to hold it by the small spacing inbetween the wiring. I wanted a soft crate with a top opening for my puppy that will be arriving in mid July. As a pet sitter, I've seen my clients crates and as good as they were, this one is that much better. It's good looking, has openings on three sides and the top plus has foldable shades on all openings. It comes with a sherpa inside mat that's not plush by any means but does the job. I called customer service when I ordered and they helped me pick the right size and told me that if I wasn't happy when I received it to let them know and they'd pick up the original and ship me the new size. Well, it arrived quickly and and i was informed every step of the way. I think the size will be perfect but I'm confident that when my girl arrives, if needed, this company will honor their commitment and switch sizes. I'm really happy with my purchase. Fabulous overall experience. Product was received in a timely manner, well packed, and the product itself is the best! There are too many junky soft-sided crates on the market. This one is sturdy, putting it together is a snap, and the pad inside can be replaced with all kinds of options when needed. We generally replace a pad on the inside about once a year just to keep them fresh. Our dogs actually like the blue ‘cooling’pads more than big fluffy pads anyway, but they are Shelties with a lot of hair. The crate itself is just superior and I have just ordered a second one for another pup arriving soon. Really, I can’t say enough good things about this crate. If your pup is a chewer you might consider a hard crate temporarily till they move out of the chewing phase but there isn’t much to chew on in these crates anyway as the canvas outer shell is very tight doesn’t give much leeway to chew. It simply sat in a carpeted bedroom. I was fortunate my dog was not in the crate at the time so that he wasn't injured. I reached out to support and sat here since April. Yes since APRIL (so 6 months), trying to get 2 replacement pieces of plastic, which I have been told are backordered and that I'll hear when they arrive. Today they reached out to me and are telling me I need to pay nearly $100 for the s2 piece of plastic, so half the cost of the entire crate. If I had known that I would have simply contested the charges for this piece of junk and bought another crate from somebody else who won't keep me sitting here. I've had this for 2 years and been able to use it less than half the time. Get a better made crate from literally anybody else.Aiden

This is my first review on Bloomies, so that should say something. I just needed to obsess over this crate really quick. If you're on the fence, you've come to the right review. I can't tell you how many crates we went through to land at this one. It was super challenging to find crates that were beautiful, durable, and the right size. The bonus of the ability to break down and build at ease for travel was the icing on the cake for us! We needed something to match our decor but was also good for a small dog on the taller side (a lot of the small crates we tried were super short as well, which isn't super comfy for our babies). We were nervous about spending for a premium crate but we knew we had to try when all the other 4+ star reviewed crates we tried were just awful. (In this case, you get what you pay for!) We are so so glad we did. We are beyond relieved to have found a crate that looks good in any room in the house, and that the babies feel safe and comfortable in (I would recommend the Pawd Dog Pad that is sold separately here on Bloomies as it is super comfy and washes so well on delicate and air dry / hang dry). The first few weeks we accidentally had the lid reversed (the Kindtail logo should be facing forward) so just make sure you read the instructions when building it for the first time (sometimes I gotta slow down my eager husband, haha). The instructions are clear and concise, and the packaging is so classy. Once you've built it and deconstructed it a few times its a piece of cake, just gotta get the hang of how it all comes together and where the folds lay! The door latch gets more comfortable the more you use it and it becomes a breeze. I cannot recommend this crate enough and we are so happy to be done searching. These pics really don't do the Pawds justice with the pink lighting but we are in LOVE!

I will say that I only bought the Pawd after my dog became full crate trained, and is no longer trying to chew through and escape her area. I don't actually use it to contain her with the door (which very nicely folds completely out of the way), but only as a nice den for my dog to chill in, so I can't speak to its ability to actually keep a dog inside. We bought this cage just to give our little guy a slightly bigger bed, now that he is full grown. This is actually just a bed with a door, because he loves being in it, and goes in on his own, just to nap, with the door open. We have the black crate cover also, which I highly recommend buying. As far as durability goes, or security for that matter, I've seen better. If you have a large or rambunctious dog, I would think twice. Also consider the fact that there is only one door latch on each door. But that's what you get for the price.Sherry
This product has room enough to grow as your puppy grows. The divider provided with the crate is easy to use. The crate is great to set up and is easily folded down to move it take with you. The tray in the bottom is very durable and cleaning is a breeze. This product is everything it says it is and I recommend it to anyone. The crate prices on Dog.com totally rock! We decided we needed an extra crate for up at the cabin….since it was "last minute" I ran to my local national chain pet store and they had one brand of folding crates like this one…..their pricing was ridiculous…..the size I needed was 3X what Dog.com was charging, even with shipping. No brainer, we ordered this one & it came standard shipping super fast & over Memorial weekend (like 2-3 days-we were still at the cabin!) and it's exactly like our other crate we bought from this site 4 years ago. A miracle! When we rescued our 5-month old pup, we were told she was crate trained, but when we brought her home to a generic metal wire crate she refused to go in it let alone rest or sleep in it. She was particularly sensitive to the sound and it was a constant struggle that felt like punishment for her. We hoped the Pawd we purchased would be more appealing to her, but we never expected what actually happened. Only minutes after unpacking the Pawd and Lounger, she walked into the crate on her own and laid down (see photo). It's a miracle. Our pup now has a cozy place of her own and we couldn't be happier. I suggest you review this item after you have used it at least 3-5 times. The front zipper no longer works and came off the track. No way to reattach. Same with the side zipper – but I literally opened the side zipper today for the first time and then saw it was open (ater thinking I closed it) – it's really very cheaply made, and should be priced accordingly. I use this for travel, so I literally have taken it on two trips – set it up at my boyfriend's house. But I bought it 4 months ago so I'm sure petco won't exchange or return. Good travel crate, lightweight and packs into nice slim bag. Our dog is crate trained so does not try to get out of the crate at night. However, if he did I might be a little less excited about this crate as it's fairly thin material and only zippers for the doors. There is mesh on 3 sides of the crate and top for good breathability and airflow and i was a little worried it wouldn't feel dark/secure enough for our pup but he did fine. For the price it's a good travel option if you don't have room in the vehicle for a crate while driving, just don't expect it to hold your dog in vs provide comfort for him as a den.M425
I purchased this crate after our previous soft sided crate was accidentally damaged in the garage. This crate is extremely well made but incredibly lightweight – perfect for your crate trained adult dog. I noticed several of the lower scoring reviews mentioned they had puppies. This crate is not for puppies or non-crate trained adult dogs. ( No soft sided crate is designed to contain puppies/untrained adults ). You need a metal crate or a hard sided plastic air travel crate for a puppy/untrained adult. However if you have a crate trained dog – this one is very nice and also attractively finished. Renforced corners, durable zippers, and plenty of thicker coated mesh for ventilation and visibility. 3 access panels ( front/side/top) and it includes a crate pad. I got this more to take our cats back and forth to the vet that dogs. It is larger than I expected, with plenty of room for them to move around. I love that is folds down for easy storage. I also like the zippered openings at the top and the side. It is easier to get the cat in from the top. The crate is very sturdy and I like the larger handles. I got this product for a cat carrier to go to vet appointments. First impression, definitely worth the price tag and super sturdy! We opened it and let both our cats explore and get comfortable in it. They fell in love and currently it’s still in my living room with two flaps up secured with the velcro. They have been fighting over whose “house” it is so I didn’t have the heart it to take it down since one compromised using the top net opening as a hammock! The colors are nice and so far it’s held up great! For size reference my cats are 11 and 16 lbs and both fit comfortably in it for a car ride to their appts or traveling. We have a chubby chihuahua that is petrified of the wind and storms we have here during the monsoon season… I'ved tried a calming coat and letting her sleep with us but she shakes so badly, no one could get any sleep! I had a feeling this little pink crate might do the trick! At first, she was hesitant to even get in it, but I left her little bed in it and after only 2 days she was laying in there and feeling very secure! We had lots of wind and dust storms the last two nights and son of a gun, there was Baby, tucked in her crate, not bothered by the storm. My 3 year old grandson was over today playing with his toys in it and it's pretty sturdy too! Setting it up took only two minutes right out of the box with no loose parts to worry about. Wow, a crate that is pretty. I don't know if that matters to the pets, but I sure like looking at a blue crate. A baby blue to be exact. This crate is small. The one piece package is easy to open, setup and breakdown for storing and transporting. It weighs 11 lbs. It measures 24 1/2" long x 18" wide and just under 21" high. When closed up the 21" high becomes approximately 3 1/2 inches and latches closed. It doesn't have a carry handle which is disappointing. No divider is included, but really not necessary for a small one door crate. The tray is solid with no imprint as others that I have and that's a plus. The even surface is much easier to clean. The sliding latch is easy and stays in place. I noticed that the paint makes it a tiny bit "thicker" and requires just a little more effort to setup and breakdown than my others. A few spots of paint have chipped off due to this. And because it doesn't have any sharp edges even under these chips; it's nothing of concern, just an observation. Very smooth bars and connections. The crate has a single door which is fine for my pet room, but if you need to move it around or transport in small spaces, you might want one with a double door. I have set this up in my pet rescue room along with my larger crates. I really like this size and plan to put several more of these small crates in the pet room. I see there are pink ones also. And I want one for my own cats because it seems to be a fantastic method for timeouts! Half a star off for not having a carry handle. Purely my hang up, since it's lightweight I can just as easily pick it up by sticking fingers through bars on top, but not too easy when a pet is inside. This was probably the easiest cage I've ever had to put together. It literally folds in on itself and I didn't even have to attach the door. Once I figured out which side had to go up first, it was a breeze. The pink color makes it really cute. Not just a wire dog cage. It is just a cage however. It doesn't have a carrying handle on top, and I'm not sure if it would hold together really well with a dog or two in it and carrying it around. But it is perfect for bed time or when you are training a new puppy or when you are gone. I have 2 yorkie girls and they both fit in it fine and had plenty of room. The crate had obviously been used and returned. The metal was rusted in places and the plastic bottom tray was dirty. When I decided to return it, It was a challenge to get it back in the box. When I took it back to the store, I asked about a discount and received 15% off (the tax). I had previously bought one that was marked down by 50% because the box was damaged. I was quite disappointed in the whole experience. Apparently the merchandise was supposed to be checked if the box was damaged and that wasn’t done in this case.Janice
I've owned dogs for the last 40 years. I've used MidWest wire crates for my last 4 dogs. This iCrate didn't disappoint. It's sturdy and and easy to put up and take down. I use them when I travel with my dogs too. My dogs only use their crates for sleeping in at night or napping in during the day. During the day, their crate doors are left open. I close the dogs in at night. I don't have an issue with my dogs trying to escape from their crates, so I can't speak to whether or not this would be sturdy enough for a dog that's determined to get out of their crate. These crates are more than sturdy enough for my miniature Schnauzer, Havanese, and Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. All three of my dogs love their MidWest iCrates, as did my previous dog! They go in them voluntarily and when told to "crate up". My only concern with the current crate I ordered is that that one of the latches isn't lined up quite right so it's a bit tight when closing the crate door. I bent it slightly and it works much better. I haven't had that issue with any of the previous MidWest crates I've used. I'm a MidWest crate fan.Eddie09
We bought this in April 2022 for our Rhodesian Ridgeback mix puppy. He was weeks old when we rescued him. He was a Parvo pup and barely survived, so rest and his own quiet space was highly recommended for recovery. We first used the divider which was great. However, as he grew, so did his strength. It definitely is not strong enough for large dogs. Even for short amounts of time. At the moment he is 6 months and 60 pounds. Thankfully he did not get out nor hurt himself!
