This pet bed and fabric refresher actually smells much better than I anticipated. I have never heard of this brand before so I was kind of hesitant to whether or not I should even bother trying it, not knowing what to expect but I am so glad that I did as I was pleasantly surprised by the results. Not only does it have a nice scent it also has a tendency to linger quite a while unlike some sprays that smell good when you first use it then disappears completely within minutes yet the scent is subtle at the same time so as not to trigger any headaches, sneezing etc. It actually smells the way it claims, a light fresh scent. Some will make that claim but won't smell anything like it. The spray bottle is easy to use. The trigger sprays effortlessly. So let me tell you a little about the biokleen BAC-OUT Fabric Refresher with the Lemon Thyme scent, This stuff is great ! Why is it so great? Because it actually works to get the stinky smells out of fabrics, it doesn't just cover them for a few minutes. This Freshener has Bio active technology that uses plants, minerals, and enzymes to actually break down the dirt and odors on the fabric that you spray it on. It comes in an easy spray bottle and the Lemon and Thyme scent is awesome (I wasn't sure I'd like it) all you need to do is spray on the fabric or surface that has the yucky smell and let it dry and within minutes the smell has disappeared and it doesn't come back unless you get it all stinky again. I received the Bac-Out Pet Bed & Fabric Refresher, 16 fl oz for review. The product arrived securely packaged and with no damage. The spray came in a convenient trigger spray bottle, easy to use and no problems with the bottle. The smell was okay, but i found it overpowering. To be fair, I do have a sensitive nose; as do animals. My dog loves car rides, so I used it in my car, but I wasn’t comfortable using it in his bedding because of the smell. However, in searching for small pet bedding, this eas the first product on the page which is bery concerning! Cedar bedding is very harmful and can even be deadly to small pets, like mice, hamsters, gerbils, etc. It is very aromatic and contains strong natural oils that cause respiratory illness and distress fir snall animals who are much closer to the source and breathe it in in very concentrated amounts. The same is true for pine bedding. If you are going to ise woodcshavinhs as bedding for small pets, aspen is the safest choice! There is nothing inherently wrong with cedar shavings, but it is very imoportant to know how to appropriately for the type of pet you have! And unfortunately, you cant trust that the employees even at pet stores will advise you correctly. I have personally experienced being reccomended pine and cedar shavings for gerbils abd hedgehogs by employees at multiple pet stores. I used this in my cats litter box now. It is better than kitty litter, smells good, when it starts to stink it isn't just oh its good for a couple more days like litter stinks and works it way up to the day it needs to be changed. This doesn't stink until it is absolutely soiled and its ready to be changed that day or so. I like that because you don't smell anything until it really is ready to be changed. You don't scoop anything, you just dump it out, i put my cats litter box in the shower and wash it with soap and water, dry it and then rub some light lotion on the inside of the bottom and top on the inside of both of them. Let’s talk cat urine. My elderly cat peed on my nice Karastan rug, why? I don’t know. The vet ruled out UTI and she has a nice clean litter box, two of ‘em to be exact. Anyway, it made my whole room smell like cat pee. I bought this as a last ditch effort and took my spot bot over the entire rug. First round so far it has eliminated 80% of the smell. We have tried a variety of products with our wet vac for dealing with occasional pet accidents and for annually deep cleaning our carpets and this product is by far the best we've used. It helps lift deep stains even if they've dried and doesn't leave behind a super strong scent. We've been using this exclusively for about 3 years now since we've found it more effective than other products at ensuring no pet scents are left behind after cleaning without adding a cloying smell like some other products that have heavier fragrances.
I wish I could provide an insight to this product, however once getting it home, opening the bottle and filling the machine, the tank cracked and the machine is now in the trash. This was the perfect product for me to review. I have two toddlers and a 120 lb Bernese Mountain Dog who can be messy and has marking his territory in the house lately! My kids both have little Lazy-Boy type chairs that are covered in a cloth material and my dog has peed on both of them. I've always wanted to use a carpet shampooing vacuum on them but that was impossible.. until I received this! It's very easy to use and so light and easy to carry around. I like that there's a scrub brush built right into the attachmentments. I love that there's a regular and an extra small attachment to get into small areas. The surface stains, like the area of the seat that looked dirty, only took one slow pass to show a really noticeable difference! Other areas, like pen marks or the arms that looked dirty didn't come out right away but I didn't expect them too. It's normal that some areas will need to be spot treated beforehand. The chair no longer smells like dog urine at all! That's the hard part is getting the smell out, especially when it goes down deep. The chairs were only minimally wet after we were done. The vacuum has a self-cleaner on it that's really easy to use, which I love! Overall, I think this vacuum is a big success, especially when I look up the price and see it's under $200. It's not a professional grade cleaner but it also doesn't cost nearly as much as one. We will definitely get a lot of use out of this vacuum. I bought this upholstery cleaner specifically for the wide attachment. I needed this to clean large areas like my couches, rugs, and car. First time I used it it worked fairly well but I had to go over with a few passes. For the rugs I shampooed them first and this tool worked great on those! The problem when I tried to use it the second time—water leaked everywhere. And I don’t mean a little bit of water, it was enough that I got worried it would have ruined my floor and used large towels in a panic to clean it up. By that point the return window had passed for it and now I’m stuck with an expensive machine that I can’t use indoors. I still use it outside for my rugs because the water leaking isn’t an issue there. Coming to write a review and reading all the positive ones I thought maybe mine was just bad luck. I’ve never had an upholstery cleaner and was debating which one to get. I like this one, seems to clean well. However, novices need to read this: no matter which cleaner you get, spot cleaning may cause water marks on your furniture. After cleaning my pieces, they look worse than before, because I spot cleaned rather than cleaning the whole thing. This may be because I have white furniture but if you clean one area of a dirty chair, that area will be cleaner/lighter and make the rest look dingy. I’m super bummed, all my upholstery looks much worse after cleaning it. I wish I had never cleaned it to begin with. Again, this is absolutely no fault of Hoover. The machine worked well and cleaned well. Moral of the story- clean the ENTIRE piece of furniture to avoid patchy areas. Other thoughts: – I thought the tough scrubber head would ruin my upholstery but it didn’t seem to – good suction (though you need the entire vacuum head to connect with something to maintain suction, so suction doesn’t really work if you are trying to do a thin chair arm that doesn’t allow you to press the whole head down against the fabric). – the hose cleaner is a nice feature – it does seem to clean well – the cleaning solution sprayer is spotty, not like a regular spray bottle. I have had these beds for my Irish Wolfhounds. It is not easy to get beds big enough. They wear well and last. I machine wash and dry them. I cleaned the carpet in my living room. I have two 10 pound dogs, one or both sometimes use this rug as a backyard green lawn, in the middle of the night. Yes, I have tried the blue doggie pads. Using Pet Pro Oxy, the rug was cleaned, and did not smell anymore. I have tried other rug cleaners in my Bissell, they did not take the smell out. Thank you for a product that works. Vicky
Because I have allergys i was very careful to buy the upholstery cleaner that didnt have febreeze in it. I bought a shampooer and a pet oder product and shampood my couch and love seat. I cant sit in my living room at all. I have constricted breathing,am coughing and need a puffer. After my couches were dry i then tried dusting with baking soda to remove the odor. That didnt work. Then i tried misting with white vinegar. Twice misted with vinegar it took a small margin of smell away. I have even tried putting just the cushions outside to air out. Still smell. I cant even sit in the room long enough to drink a coffee. There doesnt seem to be a way to smell a product before buying. Iif we are starting to ban car hanging deodorizers and plug ins, why dont manufacturors at least let their be warnings on products for fragrances. This is a terrible product for people with asmtha and allergies. I havent needed a puffer for over ten years until i bought this shampoo.
This formula surprised us. Too often formulas scent afterwards are either too strong or has a chemical smell that lingers until the carpet is completely dry. The Pet Pro Oxy Urine with Febreze does not exhibit any of the strong scent; just a nice refreshing smell. When used with the Big Green the Pet Pro Oxy removed old and new protein stains. My carpets look great, clean and bright. The Urine formula is ok, probably better off with the Enzyme or Bacteria one to completely remove.
