Then got another for her 3 year old great grand daughter who cherishes her new puppy. "Chelsey" is the newest addition to our family. My 8 year daughter absolutely loves this cute little plush dog. It is soft and cuddly and made really well. Our new little pup came complete with her own adoption papers as well. The removable diaper is a cute idea especially since my daughter is into dressing her new pup up. One day Chelsey will be a newborn the next day she is a teenage dog! She has been quite creative and has made clothes for her. When I first picked up the box I was a bit surprised with how light it was, but that is to expected with the amount of plastic used in today's toy market. Having said that, the car looks very good, I received several updating emails once shipping was imminent, and it arrived promptly. Considering it came from the UK to Canada, I was very impressed with the packaging. There was not a single crease in the cardboard nor the clear plastic blister. We paid a decent amount of money for this product as a birthday present for my daughter. She was super excited but the collar case to hold the “food/poop” kept coming undone so the food got lost. The leash came apart anytime you tried to walk him. It was a mess and we ended up buying a different toy due to my daughter being so upset. I don’t recommend.chassidy.l

My Jack Russell Terrier usually destroys squeaker toys within hours, ripped to pieces with the squeaker itself in her clutches. This flamingo lasted 2 weeks before she ripped the feet off and it continues to be a great toy, and still squeaks!GreenBandit

I bought his toy in hopes of my Australian cattle dog mix not being able to rip it to pieces. But, nope in the first 5 minutes of her having it she ripped the tail right off and pulled all the stuffing out. Not good for powerful chewers.Aspen93

The orange rubber is very sturdy, to this day my dog has not broke it; however, the the rope didn't last 10 mins after the dog opened his present. The rope is a very good idea because it would've given me a chance to pull the toy, but unfortunately its construction didn't stand a chance with my 7old months large puppy. Ended up cutting the rope and still using the rubber so not all money was lost.Naldo

I like the Ruffwear toys. They hold up well. Bought this toy and played with it once with my dogs. Took it to the lake and my son threw it in the water before I could test whether it would float or not. Needless to say it sunk. Not a water toy, but good quality. I'm a little disappointed that we lost it to the lake because I think it would have been a good toy that lasted a long time.Collin Z.

Putting the batteries in was not very difficult but the on/off switch did not work very well. No matter what I did, when I was trying to put the ball back in the cover, it would keep going off. I would turn it off just as illustrated but I guess my hand would hit the button and turn it back on and it would turn on and start barking and vibrating again. I thought I would never get it back together. Then the real fun started. Three dogs – three fails. I really thought that the Shepherd-mix we were babysitting would get a kick out of this toy. She was terrified as was my dog and my sister's dogs. If it went off downstairs they all charged upstairs or outside. So sad. The only one who enjoyed is was the 11-month old who was visiting at Christmas. She loved the vibration and she loves dogs so it was made for her.YAHSATX

It's not expensive and appears to be made well, but 1. was nearly impossible to open the pocket that houses the ball to insert the 3 x AAA batteries. Actually had to cut the stitching to remove it. 2. My 2 dogs were scared of it and wouldn't even engage with it, possibly because, in addition to jumping around, it has barking and whimpering sound effects (what were they thinking?!?!). 3. If they had played with it as intended, most dogs would grab the tail and shake it side to side. This would result in them getting smacked on either side of the head with the ball, which is hard plastic and has a good bit of mass, due to the electronics and batteries.barbmartbiz

My dog who loves strange noises toys absolutely loved this. He doesn't really care about squeakers but anything that makes different noises he just loves. It also wiggles and rolls around randomly and he LOVED that. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is there is an on off switch which can be easily pushed down by playing with it. I ended up taking it out of the squirrel tail it came in and just putting a regular squeaky ball in that which my female loved. I use the burlap zip up bulk rice bags from warehouse stores for all the torn toys, squeakers that are removed, noise makers. We call them "bags of fun" It's perfect in there because it makes the whole thing wiggle and bark and he plays until he is panting even at 8 years old. Hilarious. Whippets.Visioneyz

My dog is medium sized and with her curiosity was able to knock the bone lever completely off after only a couple of times trying to open it. The paw "catapault" didn't do anything but lift the treat up and down. The tall tower even though well fastened down was not quite strong enough to stand up to her pawing it and came off the board and apart every time. Love the idea. Needs more durability thoughHolly

I am very disappointed in this product. The “bone” lever came off immediately and comes off every time used. The flip item gets stuck and does not drop down. The top of the cylinder comes off more easily than the shelf part pulls out. The side lever that ejects the treat comes forward when other items are used. It is just not the robust product that I was expecting.White

We received our NEW FURREAL FRIENDS®: Get Up & Go-Go, My Walkin' Pup™ free from Hasbro, thank you Hasbro! This puppy has been my daughter's new best friend since she saw the box. She has wanted a puppy, but due to her allergies we have not gotten her a real one, so this was a great treat for her! The first thing she did was name her puppy "sparkle." This toy takes four C batteries, which for this promotion came with. The quality of the puppy is great. A very solid toy. Also, pretty realistic for a toy puppy. The fur is super soft and great for cuddling with a young girl. The puppy comes with a collar and a leash (which is non-removable), this is the device for walking with the puppy. On the end of the leash there is the handle with the button for walking the puppy. You push the button and the puppy walks/barks/talks (of course in puppy language). On the top of the puppy's head there is a bow, which if it is tapped the puppy sits down. The instructions said that the puppy responds to voice commands, although not super clear with what commands it responds to. This puppy came with an optional application which can be downloaded to your phone or tablet. The application is free. This really optimizes the interaction that the child can have with the puppy. The puppy just has to sit close to the phone/tablet and they connect via blue tooth. There are numerous games that you can play with the puppy with the application and the puppy with interact according to what is being done. Very cute and intuitive application. It does make a bit of an annoying sound of the "talking" between the puppy and application. This puppy has played with the girls for hours. I would recommend this toy hands down, except the price point is a bit high ($60.00). Great toy for a preschooler if would love and animal and cannot have one.TinyRose

We received this product as a review from Hasbro. From the perspective of my 4yr old daughter this was a hit. This toy has gotten more teeth brushed and tea times that any of her other toys. Taking it out of the box and getting it ready was a breeze. She quickly caught on on how the buttons on the leash worked to control it. For the first few weeks I just let her play with just the toy and then showed her the Iphone app for this toy. It was like getting a new toy all over again. Initially she thought it was just a game and did not understand that it interacts with the actual dog. She still has not caught on to it yet but the app has kept her entertained. Her parents get a kick out of how when you wash the dog in the app the FURREAL Dog starts getting upset and makes noises to show it This toy also moves around by rollers, it does not walk. Movement on rough terrain was a bit unsteady. The noise leve from this toy is acceptable. It is not loud or overpowering. It has been a few weeks and she is still playing with it and having tea parties with it. So in her eyes she still loves it. In her parents eyes we are hoping that the novelty of this does not wear off any time soon.CaptK13

NOTE: I received this product free from Bzzagent to honestly review. Though I might not have sought out such a toy on my own, I was excited to see how my four year old child would interact with it, and she was overjoyed at its arrival. The toy is even cuter in person, and well made. The fur is thick and soft, so the puppy is cuddly, her eyes appear almost bright and "shiny" and the mouth and nose look quite realistic, all things considered. The leash walking is fun and she seemed to respond quite well to the leash control button and moved fine on tile and carpet. The tail wag is very much like a real dog's, as are the head tilt and the playful open mouth expression. Sometimes the pup will also spontaneously charge forward on its own. My little one discovered that one cool thing the pup can do is be "stood up" on her back legs and then flip back down to the ground on her front paws. It would be nice if the toy could react to simple voice commands or to hugs, or run purposefully towards objects placed in front of it. However, as she is, there is plenty of room for creative play, such as running doggy daycare or a training obstacle course for pups (which is what my child and her friends have done, among other things). The variety of sounds she makes (from whimpering to dog singing to loud belches) is entertaining but random. One issue I have is with sound-based interaction. The toy is supposed to react to hand clapping by moving forward, but this seems to be a bit spotty and can be a little disappointing for smaller children when it doesn't work. Also, it's advertised as being compatible with a downloadable interactive app. My issue with the app is that only about 50% of the time does the dog respond to it in any way indicating that they're really interacting– it's supposed to make sounds in response to activities, such as getting a bath or being fed, but the dog just continues making random, unrelated noises. I'm aware that the phone must be placed close to the dog (and loud enough) for it to respond, but this has been very hit and miss. This could be a phone issue, I suppose, but there is nothing wrong with my phone or its volume. My daughter still enjoys playing with the app sometimes with her puppy next to her, and apps are definitely not a top priority in my book for a toy given to (in this case) a preschooler, but if I were paying good money for this toy, I would not have been very impressed with this function. Two months out, the toy has definitely not been abandoned in our household. The toy has seen daily use and still looks brand new. Battery life is great. This seems to be a very durable, quality-made product. Given a few limitations, I don't think that I would pay the current "going rate" for this toy (maybe the price will drop over time?), but it has been an enjoyable companion, and my little one certainly likes her.bluepoodles

Purchased toys for both my daughters dogs and mine for several years now, repeat shopper. dog.com sends merchandise quickly, well packaged. I have never found any defects. Their prices are unbeatable. This Kong toy, octopus dog toy is very sturdy and my 2 matipoos enjoy playing with it. My dogs are 12 lbs each and moderate chewers. Its nice to find a toy that I can grab and they can play tug of war without having something too rough on their mouths. I have have great experience with Kong toys, sturdy and enjoyable items. the only thing I would mention, is that I ordered Large, even though my dogs are 12 lbs, because it was recommended by Dog.com that this toy runs small; they were correct…the toy is perfect in Large for my dogs. Will order from Dog.com and Kong again for the doggies !Barbara

My little puppy loves this cute toy. Only complaint I had was that it came with a little rip in the seam of the lime. Expensive for a little toy to be coming with a rip already.
