Sending this back. Was excited to see my dog play with this. I knew by reading some reviews that I would need to teach her how to drop the balls in the machine. It work great for the first few minutes , then it stopped working. I unplugged it and waited thinking maybe it needed to reset but no. So I waited the next morning, tried it again and it worked but after a few minutes stopped again. So I’m returning it. But hope to find another type maybe just a gravity flow one.edty

I think the our little dog is training my partner. They are both having lots of fun. She is no longer bored and is so much fitter and happier. The deal at the moment is she will drop the ball for him to put in the machine, she wants him involved. The noise build up before firing is so exciting for her and she has it down to the millisecond. I know she will master it as she does sometimes, but it is more about them both playing that she loves the most.archibaldtheyounger

Bought this for my too poodle and he absolutely loves it. Hours of fun and exercise, just drop the ball in the top and it launches it and off he goes. Trying to train him to drop the ball in himself. Purchased 2 of these kennels after using a pet mate sky kennel for years. Received one of two broken during shipping. The kennels are made of a cheap plastic that cracked assumingely upon an impact during shipping. Pet mate is replacing unit, however the quality is not that of the unit I’ve had for 10+ years. I guess in retrospect, I should have spent more to get the sky kennels in hopes price would dictate better quality.Cavalier owners

I got this recently on a great sale price… it was half the cost of another dog house that I bought (and returned). The one I ended up returning was designed as an actual house, but cost $100 and the plastic was very flimsy… I felt it wasn't worth the price, and my dog never liked it. I looked online and saw this "dog house" (it's really a crate, IMO); and Petco had the least expensive price, at half the retail cost. I was also able to pick it up the same day at a local store, and received a further discount for picking it up at the store. There's only 2 pieces (a top and a bottom), and the top basically just sits on the bottom, with tabs that are supposed to hold it in place. It's not the most secure, but I don't see this being blown across the yard or anything. The plastic is heavy duty and sturdy… I mean sure, if you live in a tornado or hurricane area, then of course, yes, it'll get toss across the neighborhood; but otherwise, it should stay in place. Great for when you need to leave your pet outside for a while. It's very wide, but not very long though. My dog can curl up in here and he can fit, but he can not stretch out or lay out in this… which is fine, because dogs usually like sleeping curled up and they like snug fitting enclosures to sleep in. My standard size labradoodle fits into it. He uses it to sleep in. This is not something he can stand straight up in or something he can stretch out in… but for sleeping, he loves to curl up in it. I bought it for use outside during the winter or a rainy day, to get out of the cold or rain when I have to put him outside in the yard for a while. We put it inside the house first so that he would get use to it. The one I got said it was for dogs 50-90 lbs., which is the large size. He has no problem getting in and out of this, and he likes it a lot better than the Suncast house shaped doghouse I got him (which I ended up returning). This is plastic, but it's made of heavy duty plastic and it's sturdy; there's only a top and bottom part, and basically the top part sits on the bottom part, with tabs that are supposed to hold the two pieces together. I got it on sale, so I got it for a great price.NYCGalOut

Got these doghouses as an outdoor reprieve from the elements for our 2 Huskies. They are very sturdy and made of solid hard plastic. They've managed to remain dry inside even in a couple of downpours and driving rain. The only time that wasn't the case is when I had one on an uneven patch of grass. So you definitely want to place it on a platform if there's no flat surface. Unfortunately our pups, house dogs that LOVE to go out and play, still haven't embraced the concept of having a private pad "outside." Other than that, it's easy to set up and clean. It has plenty of room for our 70 pounder and is absolutely palatial for the 45 pounder. I got the large size for both since they were so affordable – $44 bucks each! Love the color. My dogs are both pretty big, with both weighing around 110 pounds and sometimes it is harder for them to jump up into my families vehicles. I am so glad to own this now, as it makes travel time so much easier and much more streamlined. Instead of taking several minutes trying to lift them into my truck, I am able to easily take out the ramp and set it up and have them walk up the ramp in a minute or so. I love that this ramp folds up and doesn't take up a lot of room as I store it in my trunk. Having it in my trunk makes it so much easier to just load my dogs up and go for an adventure or to take them to their appointments. My husband threw his hip out, so this ramp has been a huge help to me personally. I love how sturdy this ramp is as well, I do not have to worry about it buckling or being unsteady while my dogs are on it. I want to purchase another one of these for my other vehicle, I love it so much. This ramp will be even handier when my family is able to go camping, as we love going on many adventures. I needed one of these for my dog who just happened to have surgery on his hip. This ramp made is easier for him to get in and out of the truck safely without injuring himself after surgery. Easy to set up and is not very heavy which is a huge plus. This would work for almost any breed of dog in my opinion as its fairly sturdy and is large. Great for senior pets, or even pets who are nervous about getting in and out of vehicles. Or also perfect for your pet after having a surgery like mine. I'm using this ramp to assist my older dog with a bad hip to get into my SUV. The ramp came fully assembled. It's light weight, easy to transport, and fits easily in the cargo area of my SUV. It might be light weight, but it's well made and sturdy. I really like the no skid surface on the ramp – the entire surface of the ramp is covered so you dog doesn't slip while using the ramp . It's easy to use, just open it up. Watch your fingers at the hinge! I think it could be a little wider, but I have a fairly large dog (65lbs). We followed the instructions and did a little training with the ramp on the ground. My dog still gets a little anxious about using the ramp, but is getting better. It is much easier than lifting a 65lb dog into the vehicle. Our dog doesn't get on our bed or furniture, so I can't review the ramp for that purpose. I gave it 4 stars because it does slip back slightly when my dog is on it. We live in the country and our drive is gravel, so that might make it harder to stay in place. It would also be nice to have a handle for carrying. Overall this is a nice ramp that will make life a little easier for our senior dog.molly's mom

I bought 2, thinking they would be perfect for my feral cats as their wet food gets covered in flies in the summer – sadly the lids keep closing even when the poor cats are standing right in front eating! I've tried removing the batteries in the hope that this might reset them, but it has made no difference – after a short period of time the lids close automatically, even when the cats are standing in front eating.sgib5284

The concept of this bowl is excellent and it's excution good. Instructions are clear and packaging neat. It is only plastic so not brilliant value for money. The quality is better than most. (Rather binary answer choices are not helpful in providing a proper review.) My cat took to it easily. An improvement would be space for an ice pack underneath the dish. An option for a second dish at a reduced price purchased at the same time would provide additional value.maestrohealth

If you feed your pets wet food and they are slow-eaters (eat a little now and a little later), this is a must-have item. The lid opens automatically when my cat approaches and closes again when he leaves. So it really does prevent wet food from drying out. It is amazing. I used to throw away left-over canned food. I like the crate but the condition was very poor. (I'll explain below.) The features I like the best are the two doors and that it is big enough for my cat to stand up in it and move around. It’s big enough to make a comfortable bed and add a water bowl. But if an adult cat wants to stretch out completely, including his tail, he won’t be able to, unless his tail is outside the cage. Someone had asked for the dimensions in the collapsed state. In the shipping box, it measures 25”H x 19”W x 4”D and weighs 14 lbs. It has to be collapsed to get it through the doorway of my medium sized 4-door car. But after it's through, and assembled, it leaves about a foot of seat left. Not only does that disqualify it for my original purpose, but it is too cumbersome to carry my cat(s) in it to the veterinarian’s exam room. There is no handle on top of the cage. I often wondered what the handle shaped wire was doing on the bottom of cages. It turns out its not a handle, but a lever, to keep the tray from sliding out of the crate. The assembly was super easy after I realized that there was a black metal divider holding down the short walls of the crate. I forgot that it had one and the instructions gave no indication that one was included. You have to stand the cage upright, and hold it there, while you remove the divider, and then pull up and lock the short walls into place. And speaking of the divider, I don’t think it is safe to use, unless you attach a permanent rubber sleeve, for each of the eight sharp hooks. The hooks protrude in one of the compartments, and this puts the animal in danger, during a rough ride in a vehicle or wagon. If the animal lands on the hooks during a sudden stop, or the cage falls over with the animal inside, the animal(s) would be bruised or punctured in the skin or eyes. Another option would be to take some pliers and close the ends inward towards itself. But in order to bend them, you’d have to decide whether you want it in there permanently. Once it is in there, you can’t use the side door anymore. If you used a rubber sleeve, then it would not only protect your pet, but those sharp hooks wouldn’t scrape the paint off of the crate, while you’re attaching it. In my opinion it’s better to let one adult cat or similar size animal have the whole crate to themselves. Keeping an animal that size in half the space for longer than 15 minutes would be callous indeed. For quality, I was disappointed in the condition of the crate when it arrived. I noticed that the wire frame was bent between the tray and the door, and there were multiple places on the cage, where the paint had been scraped off, while some spots were unprofessionally, painted over. When I called up the Carlson Pet Products, to get two questions answered, I told them the condition the product was in before I used it. A couple days later, a replacement came, but the whole of one side, was corroded. The box itself didn’t have water damage. And even though I was shocked that a customer would receive a product in this condition, I suspect that the company was unaware of the damage to their inventory.Laurie

This is not just a crate to put your pet into, this is a really nice black coated wire crate. It is 48 inches by 33 inches by 30 inches, and has a back plastic tray in the bottom for easy cleaning. The tray is not a thin plastic but gives good support when the pet is in the crate. When you receive it you will find it folded onto itself. After pulling the top section to the side you pull the unit up and you have the bottom with a tray and the back and front and the roof section all together. Now you pull up the end sections and you are done. Now for the best part, you have two very large doors, one on the end and one on the side and they are big enough to get in and clean up the cage, to change bedding and all that we do for our beloved pets. You will be so pleased with the double lock deadbolt style on each door. Most crates are probably used for dogs, but mine will be used for my cat. I needed an area big enough for my cat, his litter box, and food and water. My cat needs a safe place when I have work done in my house as he is scared of strangers and this will provide him his safe place when needed. I set it up in my living room for him to get familiar with it and it did not take long. I save the cardboard that the crate was shipped in to set it upon, until I can get a rug the correct size, this crate at a guess is between 35-45 pounds and is not that heavy but is big to move from place to place. I would recommend you set it up where it is going to be used. This crate is going to provide many years of safety for my cat at present and will be with for any future pets that come into my life. I appreciate the product as a well put together and can tell it is not a one time use, but is meant to be used through many pets. I will tell my friends and family how please I am with this product so they can consider this as an option for their future purchases.dixies2cats

This huge crate for large dogs provides the dog plenty of quality-size, comfort space. Every dog should be able to lie down and stretch fully out to really be comfortable. It is very hard to find and get an extra large (XL) pet “carrier” shipped because shipping the plastic or resin carriers cost as much as the carrier due to shipping companies’ rules. So, XL are not made very much because of shipping costs. Therefore, the steel crate with bars and pan is the best solution for the extra large dog. Newspaper can be laid on the pan to keep fallen hair, and if the dog digs the paper a little, it can be changed. Hair can be vacuumed right off the paper using the weakest suction tool on a vacuum. Hair does not have to go all over. For the large pet who is very active inside the crate, activity could be controlled by hanging newspaper over two or three sides and the top. The dog will believe it is a solid wall and enjoy extra privacy. Also, possibly keep the very active dog in a carrier first to learn his/her boundaries and feel comfortable, then, the dog can get accustomed to the more open crate. The openness of the metal crate gives the dog more association with its people which helps pets get better socialized. It is less the private den than is the pet carrier, and the metal crate seems just like being out with the people comfortably all the time and makes less babysitting necessary for the people. Two doors are greatly convenient for rooms with different space areas. This crate unfolds well, yet when I lifted up the rear panel, it was held in place completely by only two bent metal tabs on the left and right top to keep it from falling back in, and the same for the front panel. On the sides, except for one metal tab of the twelve, all were open and work to keep the end panels from falling outwards, but not from falling in. Big dogs are strong and can bump things a little and those things can move a lot. Because I do not want my beloved dog to ever have the metal panel inadvertently fall in onto him, I must use strong metal hooks to hold the tops of the end panels, additionally in place, so they cannot ever go in on him. Then, I do not have to check the holding tabs every time I put him inside the crate in case he bumped the crate and popped a tab off. With time, if both end panels were to come off the tabs, the ends will fall in, and then the rest of the collapsible cage would collapse down on a dog. Therefore, with my nice strong hooks added, this is a sturdy, very well built cage, and with my care we both love it for a long, long time. Huge, and very, very happy!Maureen

Not quite what I expected based on the price. . . I was expecting more of a Trex like material based the price and description however, it is just a heaver plastic with a wood like graining to it. Overall pretty nice and I do like the metal rails. Assembly was very quick and easy (although probably would have been quicker not to try and decipher the directions) A vast upgrade from the ugly basic metal crate.Nick in FL

Very solid and sturdy doghouse for a large German Shepherd. She loves it! I did need someone else to help hold the pieces while I slid things into the proper channels, but it was very easy to put together. Just pay attention to where the floor screws onto the house. The directions did not seem as clear about where the tiny drilled holes actually were, and I tried to attach it through what turned out to be drain holes on the sides! Had to call the toll free number for assistance, and buy four new screws for the correct holes.Brenda

Thin soft plastic plastic, dogs can chew it easily. NO instructions included. Really hard to assemble , keeps falling apart. Nothing to hold it together, if the dog bumps the roof the whole thing falls apart unless you glue it together. If the insulation plug is pulled out by the dog the insulation spills out… it's that HORRIBLE tiny beads of styrofoam. Makes an incredible mess. I have built and bought and owned probably about 40 dog houses, I'm in the dog business. These are horrible. The flap door will just blow open in the wind and is a target for chewing by the dog.Smitty

i am a volunteer at a resuce centre on the sunshine coast and this book has helped me alot. It ocvers ways of helping these animals in a positive way and that is exactly what they need. The crate had obviously been used and returned. The metal was rusted in places and the plastic bottom tray was dirty. When I decided to return it, It was a challenge to get it back in the box. When I took it back to the store, I asked about a discount and received 15% off (the tax). I had previously bought one that was marked down by 50% because the box was damaged. I was quite disappointed in the whole experience. Apparently the merchandise was supposed to be checked if the box was damaged and that wasn’t done in this case.Janice

I've owned dogs for the last 40 years. I've used MidWest wire crates for my last 4 dogs. This iCrate didn't disappoint. It's sturdy and and easy to put up and take down. I use them when I travel with my dogs too. My dogs only use their crates for sleeping in at night or napping in during the day. During the day, their crate doors are left open. I close the dogs in at night. I don't have an issue with my dogs trying to escape from their crates, so I can't speak to whether or not this would be sturdy enough for a dog that's determined to get out of their crate. These crates are more than sturdy enough for my miniature Schnauzer, Havanese, and Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. All three of my dogs love their MidWest iCrates, as did my previous dog! They go in them voluntarily and when told to "crate up". My only concern with the current crate I ordered is that that one of the latches isn't lined up quite right so it's a bit tight when closing the crate door. I bent it slightly and it works much better. I haven't had that issue with any of the previous MidWest crates I've used. I'm a MidWest crate fan.Eddie09

We bought this in April 2022 for our Rhodesian Ridgeback mix puppy. He was weeks old when we rescued him. He was a Parvo pup and barely survived, so rest and his own quiet space was highly recommended for recovery. We first used the divider which was great. However, as he grew, so did his strength. It definitely is not strong enough for large dogs. Even for short amounts of time. At the moment he is 6 months and 60 pounds. Thankfully he did not get out nor hurt himself! I wish I could share photos of how bent up this crate is and the cracked floor liner. IWifeMomLove

Have bought two collars for two separate uses the 1900S and YS600 both are working perfectly for their intended purposes, the 1900S I love the way the remote allows greater control so the action can be more closly aligned with the action you want to correct without the harassment of searching for the controller and the button, better for me and better for the dog.Michael F.

This my 2nd Dogtra collar setup, and this one feels far bette in quality. The collar does sit a little tighter on the dog's neck, so I go one notch loser than normal. Remote feels a lot better than past one. Smaller tighter feel, and cleaner touch effect.swingboy01

I love all the ventilation on this crate and the two door option. It has a handle on top and its not too heavy although a little unwieldy. However its pretty compact and my 5 month old toy Aussie Shepherd weighs 14 lbs sleeps in it overnight.Consumer

This "medium" doghouse was smaller than described in the online details. The length was 2 inches shorter. The width and depth were each 1 inch shorter. I had most of the doghouse assembled before I decided to measure it. I had to take it apart, package it up and return it to my local store. Fortunately, the return process was easy.
