The media could not be loaded. I have four indoor and outdoor Eufy cameras and a Eufy doorbell. They provide great value (no monthly subscription required) and perform well with many features. I was intrigued, therefore, by this Eufy dog camera. The unit is larger than I expected, coming in at over a foot tall with a 6-inch diameter. The large size allows capacious treat storage and the rotating components. There is also a clean-out compartment on the bottom for treat crumbs, which is a nice touch. Overall it is designed and built well. Purchasers should note that the camera needs to be plugged into the wall as there is no battery. The camera quality is a standard 1080p and presents a clear picture on my phone. It has a wide-angle lens, and the unit can rotate 3/4 of a complete circle. The camera can see just about anywhere in a room. The rotation is done manually through the app or by tracking motion automatically. I set it to only track dogs, but it occasionally follows me as well (quite disconcerting). You launch treats through the app with a gimmicky slingshot that you swipe back. The more you swipe back, the more forceful the launch. A preset noise or recorded command plays (intended to call your dog over before the treat launches). We have treats on the smaller size of the recommended range (0.24' to 0.6'), and I could not tell much of a difference among the various launch distances. In fact, at each level, they launched further than I would have liked. With my dog sitting in front of the camera, they come out too quickly for him to react. Moreover, the treats come out 2-3 at a time, which furthers his confusion. I suspect that larger treats would fare better. The app is nicely done and functional. I did not encounter any bugs. I do wish that Eufy would combine their various apps into one. The rest of my Eufy cameras use the Eufy Security app, while this dog cam uses the Eufy Pet app. This should not bother me as much as it does. Inside the app, you can choose to be notified by motion (generally or just dogs) and when it thinks that the camera hears a bark. This did not work consistently well for me. The app often thought that loud, sudden noises were barks, leading to false positives. Other features allow you to record commands for your dog to come to get a treat, view past events, get a live feed, launch treats, and rotate the camera. Set up was simple, and I have had no issues connecting. Owners who are frequently absent from their dogs will like this unit. If you use larger treats (and have a smarter dog) than I have, I think the treat launcher will perform better. The false positives on the image and sound recognition are downsides but not dealbreakers. Overall, it is a well-built unit that showcases the great value that Eufy offers.
Delivery was very fast, got it 2 days early than expected date. Already have it set up, and love it! I was at first considering the Furbo or Pet Cube Lite because they were more well known. I'm so glad I did my research and chose this instead after reading so many bad reviews on the other brands. This is very easy to set up, the quality of the videos are crystal clear, easy to download and share with others, haven't had a single issue with the treat launcher, and the cam itself isn't cheaply made either. Very heavy duty and sleek. If anyone's on the fence, I'd highly reccomend this. Easily worth the $200 in my opinion. Love that I can talk too and keep an eye on my dogs while I'm away. The media could not be loaded. I purchased this camera because I am away a lot since I am a teacher and I am a cancer patient. I miss being away from my dog as I get infusions, at doctor appointments, or just at work. This camera is great and allows me to keep an eye on my pup while I am away. My dog just sleeps or eats while I am away, but seeing him perk up when I talk to him or throw him a treat is one of my favorite things! The only reason I rated this 4 stars is because I did buy this new but when I received my package and opened the treat container it had clearly been used as there was treat residue already in the canister. Other than that it's been awesome to watch my dog throughout the day, throw treats, and it even sends a doggy diary at the end of the day to show everything your dog did! It's also great security as it can detect people so if you have an intruder it will record them. This is super easy to set up and use and is so convenient. I highly recommend this product!

Bought this a year ago and it worked great to keep an eye on my senior dog. Then suddenly stopped.. won’t connect. There’s no way to actually speak with someone it’s all via chat. Our Furbo quit working after six months. We couldn’t get it to reconnect. We contacted Furbo and they said they would send another one to us if we sent the first one back. I sent the first one back and we received the “new one“ today and it was dirty, had dog treats in it, and had no power cord. I think at this point the people at Furbo don’t care what I think, and they don’t care if I can toss treats aimlessly my dog during the day while I’m working. Please learn from my mistake. I was gifted my first furbo a few years ago. It was great, I was able to watch my dog and calm her down when I get alerts about her barking. But once I started working from home more often I didn't utilize it as much. When I changed jobs I tried to use it again but it just stopped working. I did everything they told me to do with no results. Since the unit was out of warranty there was nothing they could do. The only option they had was to purchase one of there other plans for a new or refurbished unit, which I did. And now, once again the unit stopped working and won't connect. Once again, did everything they suggested, changed the cord, changed the power box and also did a hard reset but nothing fixed the issue. And once again my warranty had expired and once again they wanted me to purchase one of their nanny plans for a new unit.
How are these devices only lasting a few months. The unit stays on a shelf only being moved when I'm cleaning. Save your money and learn from my mistake. I really wanted to love this unit. The camera is great on this device, when it works. I have it connected to a 2.4Ghz but 99% of the time it says it is not connected. After weeks of messing with it I just gave up. Another issue is that in order to see your pets you have to keep it pretty low to the ground. The lid for the treats is not secure and my dog just takes her paw lifts the lid and and eats the treats, so there is also that. I got this as a present this holiday for both my dog and cat. Set up was very easy to connect to my home wifi. The app associated with this camera is a little slow, but it functions. It comes with a wall mount but I chose not to mount it as Id prefer to move the camera location from time to time. The camera allows a colored setting and a night setting which switches it to black and white. The clarity is pretty well on that too. We own a dog and bird that do not get nearly the attention they deserve. So, we were thrilled to receive our Petcube Play. If you are in the market for a wifi camera to look-in on your pets, I would highly recommend this one. The camera is not perfect; however, so there are a few things you should know before purchasing. Positives – Great HD video quality. – The App (at least on our iPhone) is top quality. It has never crashed nor behaved badly. – Set-up was extremely easy. – Two way audio is clear with only a slight second delay. – The automatic alerts always work, even when the app is not open on our devices. – The laser light is bright and can be moved remotely. – Multiple settings for everything! Pretty great to be able to fine-tune the experience without complication. – The Petcbue comes with a long power cord and the 5 watt usb connection uses very little power. Negatives – The actual build quality of the cube is good, but not the greatest. I would be somewhat nervous if the cube was dropped onto a non-carpeted floor. – The laser light is a little tough to calibrate in order to have quick and fluid control. -If you imagine your pet chasing a very fast moving light as though you were holding and moving a flashlight – well, it just doesn’t work that fluidly. – The refresh rate was not the greatest. If I had to guess it was probably about 5 frames per second. Comparable to that of security camera I would say. Perhaps our slow-ish wifi is to blame. It looks like that the app is updated fairly often so the some of the negatives that are software based are periodically improved with updates. In conclusion, we personally are very happy with our Petcube play. We mainly use ours for our bird but wouldn’t mind purchasing a second to be able to check-in on our dog when away. We have used a couple of other wifi cameras within this price range, and so far this is the best.david_w

The build quality is solid and there is a nice rubber base so that it won't slide around on you. The first time I used this product I was blown away. I was able to go into the app on my iPhone and I was able to see my entire living room with the wide angle camera. At night the camera goes into what I like to call night mode where even in pitch black you are still able to see the video feed. I used the built in laser pointer to play with both my cats and my dog and they loved it. I was also able to either take a picture of what I was seeing or record video. Which I can then later share with friends and family. You also have the option to turn on two way audio so that you can talk to your pets while you are away from home. What I like the most about it is that I can sort of use it like a security camera for the home. I can check in from time to time to not only check in on the animals but also to see who or what is going on in the home. I would recommend this product to anyone that travels and wants to keep an eye on not only their pets but also check in on the home for security purposes.Edbo316

I've been playing with the settings and just doesn't want to come in. I've noticed my phone getting really warm when I'm looking at the live feed. So I'm sure that's a phone thing but it just makes you think. We had some issues with installing it and using the app with 2 androids, but was really easy set up for the iPhone. I love the function of not being notified. It's annoying to have it keep having the motion detection on when you have a house full of people. After about 3 weeks of playing with it I finally figured out all the settings. I finally got our other devices set up and after that it was good to see that all the devices were still getting the blurry video feed. The wide camera makes it able for me to see my kitchen, living and dining room-so It makes it easy to check in often. Love the speaker to communicate on the other end and vice versa. We own a dog and bird that do not get nearly the attention they deserve. So, we were thrilled to receive our Petcube Play. If you are in the market for a wifi camera to look-in on your pets, I would highly recommend this one. The camera is not perfect; however, so there are a few things you should know before purchasing. Positives – Great HD video quality. – The App (at least on our iPhone) is top quality. It has never crashed nor behaved badly. – Set-up was extremely easy. – Two way audio is clear with only a slight second delay. – The automatic alerts always work, even when the app is not open on our devices. – The laser light is bright and can be moved remotely. – Multiple settings for everything! Pretty great to be able to fine-tune the experience without complication. – The Petcbue comes with a long power cord and the 5 watt usb connection uses very little power. Negatives – The actual build quality of the cube is good, but not the greatest. I would be somewhat nervous if the cube was dropped onto a non-carpeted floor. – The laser light is a little tough to calibrate in order to have quick and fluid control. -If you imagine your pet chasing a very fast moving light as though you were holding and moving a flashlight – well, it just doesn’t work that fluidly. – The refresh rate was not the greatest. If I had to guess it was probably about 5 frames per second. Comparable to that of security camera I would say. Perhaps our slow-ish wifi is to blame. It looks like that the app is updated fairly often so the some of the negatives that are software based are periodically improved with updates. In conclusion, we personally are very happy with our Petcube play. We mainly use ours for our bird but wouldn’t mind purchasing a second to be able to check-in on our dog when away. We have used a couple of other wifi cameras within this price range, and so far this is the best.david_w

I got this as a present this holiday for both my dog and cat. Set up was very easy to connect to my home wifi. The app associated with this camera is a little slow, but it functions. It comes with a wall mount but I chose not to mount it as Id prefer to move the camera location from time to time. The camera allows a colored setting and a night setting which switches it to black and white. The clarity is pretty well on that too. So far I haven't had issues and this is great to check up on my pets to say hi, and dispense them a treat as well! Any cons that I have is sometimes the treat dispenser sends more than one treat at a time. And sometimes the app crashes on my phone, but it just has to be restarted and its good!NTJT
