This is my third itouchless trash can. I’ve had one for years in my kitchen & I just love it! The battery life is excellent. I don’t use the batteries I had my own plug ac plug-in that I was able to use which was awesome. I was hoping this would be fun to use for my grandkids however it seems it will take a few teaching sessions for my 4year old grandson as he wants to open the lid like a typical trash can. We got this since we have a toddler in the house always getting into the garbage. It worked great and deterred our toddler grandson from getting into the garbage, but after 3 months the lever broke off and it doesn’t stay shut anymore. It’s made with cheap plastic and for any item that is opened constantly throughout the day, you would hope that it would have a heavy grade plastic to withstand the continual opening and closing and locking. I bought 3 of these about 2 months ago (one for the kitchen trash and 2 to store dog food in a way that my 1-year old can't access it) and it worked great! For about a month. This is my third itouchless trash can. I’ve had one for years in my kitchen & I just love it! The battery life is excellent. It works very well & I especially love that while I’m cooking & baking with clean hands, I don’t have to touch the garbage lid to open it. I used to have a trash can with a foot pedal but it always moved & marked up my wall. This one stays put. My friends & family all love it & some have gotten similar sensor trash cans, like at Costco, but the battery life on those can’t compare. I got my second one for our RV. I accidentally broke the lid on my first one recently & decided I’d get a whole new one for a replacement rather than just the lid. I am 100% happy with this product. Just received our iTouchless trash can a couple of days ago and I’m loving it. I ordered the waste can with wheels which makes it even more convenient. When cleaning the kitchen floor it’s just a matter of easily rolling the can out of the way, which wouldn’t be as simple if we had a model sans wheels. Then one would be required to physically pick up the can to move. Kitchen chores are so much easier now and I would highly recommend this product. I don’t use the batteries I had my own plug ac plug-in that I was able to use which was awesome. I was hoping this would be fun to use for my grandkids however it seems it will take a few teaching sessions for my 4year old grandson as he wants to open the lid like a typical trash can. We got this since we have a toddler in the house always getting into the garbage. It worked great and deterred our toddler grandson from getting into the garbage, but after 3 months the lever broke off and it doesn’t stay shut anymore. It’s made with cheap plastic and for any item that is opened constantly throughout the day, you would hope that it would have a heavy grade plastic to withstand the continual opening and closing and locking. After all, why do people buy garbage cans with lockable lids but to keep toddlers safe.KimZ
I bought 3 of these about 2 months ago (one for the kitchen trash and 2 to store dog food in a way that my 1-year old can't access it) and it worked great! For about a month. After a month of normal use, the plastic pieces that hold the hinge-springs in place started bending out (making it impossible to open without some sort of tool to pry the latch open) and have since broken off entirely so the lid doesn't even attach to it's frame anymore. And I haven't found anywhere where I can just purchase a replacement lid… I'd have to buy a whole new trash can.WishingInAlaska

This thing is exactly what I needed (wanted) having a primarily inside dog who is pad trained. This thing is sleek, discreet, and looks a whole lot nicer than the target bag full of used dog pads that once was 😄👍 for smell purposes it also hides that stench as well, although it wasn’t much a problem for me beforehand. Either way I love how this contains everything. I drop a few drops of lavender essential oil for a new bag and it also makes each opening use smell better!MOT
Having owned an Ubbi diaper pail I thought the dog version would have been made to the same standards. Unfortunately that’s not the case. I was surprised at how light it was, I specially went with an Ubbi because they are metal cans which doesn’t absorb orders like plastic trash cans do. It was pretty pricey for a light weight pail.Nikka
