These are great healthy treats, but I took off 1 star because they are called "Peanut Butter", but they put chicken in them, and they also add sugar (cane molasses). I don't want any added sugar in my dog treats, and I don't always want them getting meat, either (on weekends, I give their bodies a break from meat to try to clear residues out and instead feed them other foods for their meals on those 2 days each week). That includes treats. So I have to be careful to avoid these treats on weekends. If a treat is called "Peanut Butter", I expect it to be Peanut Butter, without meat in it. My dogs are both medium sized and about 15 pounds each. They truly enjoy the combination flavors of the turkey and pumpkin ingredients. These treats are boned-shaped. I will purchase again. Just an observation: I tried to break one treat in half so that I could share each side with both dogs, but it was pretty hard to do. These treats may be a challenge for senior dogs with less teeth. However, it may also provide them with an opportunity to chew on the treat longer. I guess it just depends on your pet.Jasmin S
My dog is a 10 year old male 25 pound Papillon. He has always had a great appetite but will set aside something that is repetitive for something new. The exception to this is the Milkbone peanut butter flavored treats. He gets these treats a lot so when I offered him one of the new biscuis he dropped it and looked at me like he was expecting the the original treats. As soon as I told him that was all he was going to get he picked up the biscuit and promptly ate it. In a side by side test he choose the original treat over these biscuits but never left the biscuit without eating it. Definitely fell short of my expectations! The description in the name is, “SOFT and chewy”! There’s in no way anything soft about this treat. I’m very disappointed because I thought that I may have found a treat for dogs that really was soft. My furry baby is old and missing many of her teeth. Actually, missing all but a couple. A dog trainer introduced these treats to me. I do a lot of dog training every day. Training is for competing in Obedience, Rslly, Agility and Scent Detection. Every dog's preference should be known for 3 levels of treats – low, medium, and high, for motivation. I use these treats, broken into pieces, for positive reinforcement at all 3 levels for different dogs performing in different disciplines. No dog has refused this treat. I am sure there are dogs that are so shy they would refuse every thing. These are easy to break into the appropriate size which also allows the rest of the treat to remain in my hand – the dog doesn't have to wait for me to fumble in a treat pouch for the next treat. Timing is important. They are soft and don't crumble into bits when broke. The treat isn't wasted because of crumbling. They are soft. If left in treat pouch that is not air tight, they will become hardened. Makes them less easy to break, but they remain useful and the dogs love them. Better than a treat pouch full of dust or mushy from moist rewards like hotdogs. The value from Walmart is better than other online sellers. The treats in the beef/fillet mignon flavor is a favorite, don't become focused on chicken being a main ingredient unless the dog is allergic to chicken. All in all this treat has tamed the need for6 or 7 types of treats to use as positive reinforcement.Coysmom
Dont know whether its the smell or texture, but out of all the treats I give my dog, he shows the most exhuberance for these (almost becomes aggressive which isnt necessarily something i'm promote). I have always purchased pupperoni dog treats for our dogs as long as I can remember. My larger dogs have never had any issues with them. I have an older yorkie mix and I couldn't figure out why she kept getting severely sick. This last time she threw up her pupperoni snack and had liquid diarrhea for days! She had to be kept in her crate because she couldn't hold it at all. A minimum of 10 baths a day it was a complete nightmare. I just wanted to put it out there that I had to bring my dog to the Vet because she was suddenly acting lethargic and wouldn't play around like she usually does. My dog is not picky, but she LOVES these. Any time she hears the word “cookie” she comes running for one of these, it’s hilarious. They are HUGE and super crunchy. These baked treats satisfy my little toothless pup's desire for a crunchy treat, without choking him on a hard biscuit. They break easily for smaller portion sizes, and they crumble when he bites down on the cookie with his gums. Little gobbler is so excited when we give him his crunchy cookie and probably more excited that he can still eat crunchy treats. I haven't found any other hard dog biscuits that match this perfect balance of hard and crunchy in the box while breakable by hand, and evenly crumbly under pressure. My pup prefers the peanut butter flavor by far over the chicken for these baked treats. A little pricey compared to the national brand perhaps but, we can't use those anymore now that this aging pup is a toothless yapper. I have been using these treats for several years. They worked out well until recently. My dog started throwing up as soon as she has a few. I threw the bag away and bought a new one. The sane thing happened each time. She had only thrown up very rarely in her life, 3 years old. Unfortunately I will no longer be purchasing these treats. These are great healthy treats, but I took off 1 star because they are called "Peanut Butter", but they put chicken in them, and they also add sugar (cane molasses). I don't want any added sugar in my dog treats, and I don't always want them getting meat, either (on weekends, I give their bodies a break from meat to try to clear residues out and instead feed them other foods for their meals on those 2 days each week). That includes treats. So I have to be careful to avoid these treats on weekends. If a treat is called "Peanut Butter", I expect it to be Peanut Butter, without meat in it. Otherwise, it should more correctly be called "Peanut Butter and Chicken".SummerBalm

If I could give this company negative stars I would😡 I bought these to put in my two pups Easter baskets I gave each of them a half when I got home. Thursday morning they had there regular dog food by 9:30am she got deathly sick vomiting diarrhea enlarged stomach and by 3pm my female pomchie was gone because of this bone this is the only thing they had besides there normal dog food. I found these recently at Costco and my dogs love them. I struggle with dog chews as most state they are not to be consumed. These bones are soft and they have a divided center if you want to break them in half for smaller dogs. The fact that I can break this in half is brilliant! I have tried all sorts of things to break bones in half in the past. I was able to get a large bag of these and Costco had a coupon so I got them at a great price. Yes yes yes ! I found this brand maybe 2 years ago because I wasn’t committed to the brand I was using and wanted a change. Omg I love these! This was one of the very first treats I had purchased when my puppy was cleared for treats. The vet had suggested a soft treat since he was teething so badly at the time. I ended up breaking these in half so it was smaller and required less chewing.
