I have been using these treats for several years. They worked out well until recently. My dog started throwing up as soon as she has a few. I threw the bag away and bought a new one. The sane thing happened each time. She had only thrown up very rarely in her life, 3 years old. Unfortunately I will no longer be purchasing these treats. I got these for my dog as we're doing some training. He's a small dog. 20 pounds at his goal weight. And we had a bit of a scare. Pancreatitis sent us to the vet, after some serious diarrhea. He started having this diarrhea on the day I got these for him. I didn't feed him a ton while training him. But, I just want people to be aware of what can happen with these treats. It was a $400 bill from the vet, a not great feeling pup, and a worried dog Mom. Please be careful with these. I don't want this to happen to anyone else. It was definitely a scary moment.sarah.d
When our pups were first starting out potty training, and when we were teaching them tricks, we used these all the time! Between these ones and the Charlees training treats we had all the treats we needed! We love these because they are low calories so you can give you dog multiple treats at a time without having to worry about giving them too many, and they're small and easy to eat so you can give it to them fast and them move on to the next one! We got recommended these when we took our one pup, Tucker, to obedience training, and now I can see why they like to use them! I would highly recommend these! Especially if you're potty training, we used to bring a couple of these outside with us and as soon as our pup would pee or poop they automatically got a treat. I have three smaller, older dogs. I ordered the liver flavored. The treats are small soft, low calorie and odorous! Perfect for my dogs who definitely do NOT follow commands like a German Shepherd! One of them can't see very well anymore, but the all can smell when I have these in my pocket and come running when I whistle just like a dog commercial! One of the dogs is an older shelter rescue who loves to run outside but couldn't get it in his head to relieve himself outside rather than in. He also paid no attention to my calls to return. A friend suggested that I give him a treat when he finished urinating. He is a very stubborn little terrier and I was surprised to learn that it worked like a charm. High quality, limited ingredient treat. The bag may not hold many ounces, but as each treat is dehydrated, it will plump up to twice as much in the stomach so not much as needed and they are a treat, not a food. My putz requires lower fiber diet than most and it's not easy to find low fiber, high quality treats. I am happy this brand is available. She has no problems digesting these, they are healthy for her and still high motivation treats for her. Her coat and overall health is such that though she is on the boarder of "elderly" for a dog, everyone mistakes her for a puppy. I credit that to her quality food and treats.VancK

The Acana Yorkshire pork treats were absolutely amazing for my senior Schnauzer! These treats are made with premium fresh ingredients. The packaging is very well thought of. Yes yes yes ! I found this brand maybe 2 years ago because I wasn’t committed to the brand I was using and wanted a change. Omg I love these! This was one of the very first treats I had purchased when my puppy was cleared for treats. The vet had suggested a soft treat since he was teething so badly at the time. I ended up breaking these in half so it was smaller and required less chewing. Our 2 Girls started putting on weight so we cut out their high calorie treats and started giving them these as their main treat, at first one of my girls didn't like it but when she realized she wasn't getting anything else she came around and now she seems to actually like them. my dog loves these! when i shake the bag she comes running just like when i shake the treat bag for my cats. when i go into my kitchen, hershey sometimes watches to see if i'm headed for the treats. i feel so good feeding her these treats. i find as hershey is aging (she's 7.5) her stomach is more sensitive. these don't bother her at all. and did i say she loves them? i can tell the quality is superior to other treats that i've fed my dog. i will buy these for my dog, and i will check out other acana products.hershey2014
When I received the package I was impressed as it also contained a reusable bag and a hankie for my pup. When I opened the bag I saw cute little heart shaped snackies. I gave one to each of my pups and they wanted another right away and they even sat for them. My little pug had a bit of a hard time chewing it as it was almost to big for lil mouth but she managed and then proceeded to give me the puppy eyes for another so of course I gave in. I saw a demonstration being done at petco and the representative told me how other dog foods expand in the dogs stomach while theirs does not! It’s much healthier than other dog foods. My chihuahua loves it! All they need is a smaller amount since the product does not contain extra fluff. My dog is small and the feeding size is 1/4 cup. The small bag lasts her around 3 months or so. It’s well worth the price and lasts long! Paisley has a very shiny coat and is extremely healthy! I think the food may be the reason!
