After just the first bath using this shampoo my dog stopped shedding as bad. The type of dog I own are known to go through two shedding seasons a year where they shed their top coat so a new one can grow in. During these times the shedding is so bad that I have to vacuum no less than 3 times a day. Its uncontrollable. But the shampoo really did make a huge difference. Using it once or twice a week during that time of year is ideal to cut down on the shedding . My puppy definitely looks and feels cleaner after a bath with this shampoo. I have ALWAYS loved burts bees. I’ve always loved the brand and it’s affordable price. It’s truthfully the most natural drug store product you can put on your skin. The same goes for dogs. I read in a lot of reviews that people were disappointed that there was no fragrance to the shampoo. Some look for that to neutralize odor. That’s actually not what you would want. If you want them to smell nice, purchase a cologne for your dog. The fragrances can be very harsh to the skin depending on what it is. My new puppy has had the worst skin issues since we got him and this was so gentle and relieving to my baby. I gave him an coconut oil bath along with this and it softened his skin and coat. Got this for my poodle puppy. If you want the wet dog smell after a bath… this is the perfect shampoo. It is tear free which is good but she never smells clean after a bath. It came highly recommended but I will certainly never buy it again. This was a great shampoo for my chihuahua. She has a skin condition and is constantly itching herself. I feel that it’s very gentle and doesn’t cause any buildup or irritation. This is a very good company and they have good products for humans and pets. My dog, unfortunately, happens to have very dry sensitive itchy skin. Especially during flea season. Just one flea bite and it's off to the races. She has severe "flea bites venom" allergy. So flea season I have to be hyper vigilant with everything from yard, home, pet flea and tick treatment, and grooming. I purchased this one day because I know that oatmeal is very soothing to itchy dry skin. I have used regular oatmeal as a paste and as a bath/rinse with very good results. This shampoo smells good, it was a little higher priced but I was OK as long as the results were equal to the price point. Sadly, I was not impressed. In this case it was the name brand reputation was bigger than the results. while it did clean her fur thoroughly and nicely , she was scratching a lot within the first few hours after her bath. And she was properly rinsed. I spend triple the time rinsing.  I put her back in the shower and rinsed her with the homemade oatmeal bath that I use. Regular old-school oatmeal, mixed with water, and just use it as a soak/rinse. I also put in a few drops of high-quality Teatree oil, the mother of apple cider vinegar, and a cup of chamomile tea. that's my homemade treatment for itchy sensitive skin this shampoo, for the price, did not meet my expectations. This is a great natural dog shampoo that i use on my dog regularly. I used to use a lot of product, like a quarter of the bottle every time I bathed my fur baby. I was told from my groomers to create a foam with some water and soap in a bottle and it makes the product lather better and uses so much less! We rescued a puppy, Zeus, in early July. All he did was scratch and scratch and scratch. I brought him to 2 vets to help. I want to add before I start my review that I no longer use Burt’s Bees products because I wanted something stronger for my dogs. I also originally bought this product with the intention of using it for one of my dog’s dry skin. With that being said I have a miniature poodle with severe allergies that caused him to scratch at himself until he was bleeding and scratched off the skin in multiple location on his body. He is now medicated and is a lot better with the correct products. This product did help with his allergies minimally but did help his over all coat a lot. His coat was soft and shiny after using the product and after a few weeks his dry skin that was caused by a previous product was much better. I would recommend this product to any dog with dry skin or in need of a moisture boost.anisha.d
This conditioner is perfect. Barely scented. Doesn't affect my allergies. Tried first spraying brushes and all the static fur stayed on the brush. I’ve waited a couple months to leave this review just to see if there were any adverse side effects and am happy to say we’ve experienced none at all! My little corgi doesn’t mind it and she tends to be very opinionated on most smells. It’s lightly fragranced, lathers extremely well and a small amount goes a long way. I'm not a fan of most doggie shampoos out there because they aren't always transparent about ingredients, and often there's a ton of neon colouring. This was quite a splurge for a shampoo, as my last shampoo purchase was a gallon of Buddy Wash for $60. However, it's my pup's birthday so I always get a few presents for her. My primary concern was that the fragrance would be too overpowering (dog's noses are super sensitive), but it's no more noticeable than other shampoos. I find Ouai products are very perfumey, but this is definitely not as fragranced as my human products. My goldendoodle has very high-maintenance, SUPER fine hair so I always follow up a shampoo with a bunch of conditioner. However, once this shampoo was rinsed out her hair didn't feel stripped of all moisture so I forewent the conditioner, and so far so good. I have a Golden Retriever (double coated) and wanted a shampoo that made her clean, soft, and not smell like wet dog. We bought the 8-in-1 Perfect Coat Puppy Shampoo for our newly adopted 2.5 month old GermanShepherd/Labrador pup, Darla. It's true, the smell is great- not overbearing. However, it didn't lather too well. Though, I can admit, that many have our fault because it was our first experience bathing Darla. But, I guess it did it's job as it rinsed out very well, leaving Darla's coat very soft, shiny, and smelling great! My puppy definitely looks and feels cleaner after a bath with this shampoo. I have ALWAYS loved burts bees. I’ve always loved the brand and it’s affordable price. It’s truthfully the most natural drug store product you can put on your skin. The same goes for dogs. I read in a lot of reviews that people were disappointed that there was no fragrance to the shampoo. Some look for that to neutralize odor. That’s actually not what you would want. If you want them to smell nice, purchase a cologne for your dog. The fragrances can be very harsh to the skin depending on what it is. My new puppy has had the worst skin issues since we got him and this was so gentle and relieving to my baby. I gave him an coconut oil bath along with this and it softened his skin and coat. The bottle came already open, and spilled all over. A good 1/4 was already gone. For as much as this costs, they could really put some time into the packaging. How Do I know something wasn't put in that could harm my sister’s dog? This also has absolutely no scent which I guess if you want to go that way fine, but Burt's bees products usually have a nice natural scent and this had none. This was a great shampoo for my chihuahua. She has a skin condition and is constantly itching herself. I feel that it’s very gentle and doesn’t cause any buildup or irritation. I’ve been using this product for 5 months now and probably won’t switch up shampoos for her. The smell is so nice! It doesn’t have a strong odor and her reaction to it is pleasant. This is a very good company and they have good products for humans and pets. My dog, unfortunately, happens to have very dry sensitive itchy skin. Especially during flea season. Just one flea bite and it's off to the races. She has severe "flea bites venom" allergy. So flea season I have to be hyper vigilant with everything from yard, home, pet flea and tick treatment, and grooming. I purchased this one day because I know that oatmeal is very soothing to itchy dry skin. I have used regular oatmeal as a paste and as a bath/rinse with very good results. This shampoo smells good, it was a little higher priced but I was OK as long as the results were equal to the price point. Sadly, I was not impressed. In this case it was the name brand reputation was bigger than the results. while it did clean her fur thoroughly and nicely , she was scratching a lot within the first few hours after her bath. And she was properly rinsed. I spend triple the time rinsing.  I put her back in the shower and rinsed her with the homemade oatmeal bath that I use. Regular old-school oatmeal, mixed with water, and just use it as a soak/rinse. I also put in a few drops of high-quality Teatree oil, the mother of apple cider vinegar, and a cup of chamomile tea. that's my homemade treatment for itchy sensitive skin this shampoo, for the price, did not meet my expectations. I have gotten similar if not better results from shampoos that were 1 to 5 dollars a bottle. Keep in mind this is just my opinion and my results on my dog. This is a great natural dog shampoo that i use on my dog regularly. I used to use a lot of product, like a quarter of the bottle every time I bathed my fur baby. I was told from my groomers to create a foam with some water and soap in a bottle and it makes the product lather better and uses so much less! My fur baby suffers from itchy skin and this shampoo seems to temporarily relieve that! I enjoy using this on my dog! This shampoo did not disappoint and I am happy with the results Im getting. The product itself is excellent, my grandfurbaby is silky smooth after her bath. Unfortunately, we were under a time limit when bathing her so she was unable to get the full grooming experience. As for the packaging, not so great. it was put in a box that was 4 times the size and the bubble air didn't fill around the entire bottle, the bottle was put in the bottom of the box the air packets put on top. I have a 10-year-old Bichon Frise with a lot of fluffy coat that takes a lot of effort in the shampoo and grooming process. The Vetericyn FoamCare product was very easy to use and provided ample amounts of lather to thoroughly clean my dog. The Vericyn FoamCare easily washed out thoroughly and left my dog's coat smelling clean and fresh. The included conditioner made it very easy for me to complete his grooming. I was very pleased when blow-drying his coat and being able to fluff his hair to give him the traditional Bichon look. My Bichon has sensitivities to many brands of shampoos. The Vetericyn FoamCare was very gentle on his skin and there was no evidence of any irritants or rashes on his skin. We have a cocker spaniel that is a puppy mill rescue. Baths are always a stressful event. Trying to get a product on the dog while keeping ahold of them is almost impossible. Giving my Samoyed a bath is always a tedious, tiring task. The amount of time is directly related to the amount of hair and she has a lot. With typical shampoos I always ended up over shampooing one area and barely touching others as where the shampoo landed is where it would get well dispersed and other areas were left with the run off because otherwise I'd be bathing her for hours to work in shampoo and rinse it off. With the Vetericyn Foam Care it was easy to apply just the right amount of shampoo all over and easily massage it in for amazing results. This was truly a gem to find, especially in the heat and humidity that dries out her skin and paws. This is a great product to use on your fur baby between baths or after a bath. My younger lil man loves it he thinks he's Mr hot stuff when he gets his spray on and his brother doesn't like the spray part so momma has to put it on her hand and rub it on him then he'll do his strut through the house it actually doesn't irritate his skin as he's got really bad allergies and this doesn't affect him at all. I swear by this especially between baths. Its a light fragrance so its not over powering at all. Price is very pocket friendly also.wanda.p
