This is one of the best slicker brushes that we have used on our dog. He hates to be brushed because most brushes and slicker brushes either get stuck in his fur is ruff on his skin but this particular slicker is awesome. It doesn’t stick or irritate his skin. I do love this. It definitely does get a lot of my dogs loose coat that she sheds. And I can tell its getting some of her undercoat as well. She is a husky/German shepherd mix. So she's furry!!!! I sweep daily at least 3 times and can make a whole dog out of the fur I get up from the floor. But when I use this, I don't need to sweep nearly as much. This slicker brush really helps, when brushing the undercoat out, on your dog. Because it has bristles that are closer together, it works better than most slicker brushes do. But you have to work with smaller sections when using it. If not, you will get the brush stuck, or wind up hurting your dog when removing matted fur or "shed fur". If you have a large dog, I'd recommend a larger slicker brush. But this one works great for my pomeranian's furamanda.c

It's very challenging to find a brush that is tough enough to take on a German Shepherd, but remain pliable and also be soft enough not to cause them any pain. I liked the idea behind this product. It is a really customizable tool that accommodates for short/long or thick/thin. It is a hard plastic- which is something that I am not use to- its usually a tough metal that always makes me feel like I am hurting her whenever I use it. With this being so adjustable you can determine how deep you want the deshedding tool to go. There is nothing to catch all the hair as you go would be my only complaint. I have two dogs currently. A retriever/collie mix and a corgi. Both dogs shed pretty regularly and I have purchased deshedding brushes in the past. This particular brush worked well for my smaller corgi, but I was not confident/ nor impressed in it's ability to properly get as much hair from my larger dog with longer hair. The amount of loose hair and dead, dry skin it loosened up was AMAZING! And this is on my horse who I groom everyday! My mare really loves it over her lower back and hindquarters. Thomas, our rescued rat Terrier REALLY enjoyed it. He lost and leg and can't scratch so this was a welcome treat. He also now battling cancer and COPD so it something makes him happy we are happy and its much easier scratching him with the brush than with our fingers. I like the GROOMER'S BEST slicker brush for cats. The shape is better compared to the rectangular brush I have. This brush is best for a light daily grooming. I have a longhaired cat, so it wouldn't glide easily through the thicker part of her hair. During the spring and summer, she gets so many knots in her hair that I have to use a special brush that is more sturdy for removing knots and undercoat. However, although this brush is meant to glide easily through the coat, it didn't seem to remove much hair.Bunny

It is so great not having to worry about using a desheder before AND after her bath. This product gets so much fur off so easily. It gets rid of the hassle and cuts down her grooming time by about an hour. Also using this in the bath stops her from getting impatient quicker. Since quarantine, I’ve been brushing my dog every single day for about a month. It was a dual sided brush, one soft and one hard bristle. I wasn’t happy with how it was working, so I picked up this brush. And I’m amazed! I was extremely skeptical see it online, but now I’m all in. It looks like a scalp massager. The photo attached is after about 30 mins of doing circular motions. My dog loves it and will lean her whole body into me while I brush her (she didn’t like the other brush that much!) it’s also super easy to clean off. Just run it under water with some soap. If your dog has a waterproof coat, this is so nice during baths. I have a bloodhound and it takes forever to get water through her coat, this brush helps with that. It also removed so much hair, so I suggest brushing out your dog several times before using this in the bath to spare your drains! The down side is this doesn’t collect the hair. Hair will go flying everywhere. So I suggest using a brush (or your hand) to wipe off the hair and then keep at it with the Kong brush. Do this outside! I use a soft brush and then scrap the Kong brush through the soft brush to remove the hair. It’s also a little bit of an odd shape to hold, so if you have arthritis this might not be the brush for you. But if you want a brush to completely remove a winter coat, here it is!natalia.c

It is so flexible it's useless. I have a pekingese whose fur, while not all that long, was matted, especially his tail. I tried this brush thinking it would bother him less than the rake but it is totally useless. It got stuck in tangles but did not get anything out. I recently bought this deshedding tool to use on my two Pomeranians. One of them has a very thick show quality coat. I had given her a bath and brushed her out. I noticed she had a lot of little mats underneath her collar. I thought I would have to resort to cutting them out. I had seen this at my local Walmart and decided to give it a try. It worked great! I am a dog bather and at our shop we have the Furminators, I know how valuable they are for de-shedding but I just could never warrant buying a $60 dog brush. I found this and decided to give it a shot with my six hairy heelers who were massively blowing coat! I can say from using both this works as well as, if not better than the furminator! the only thing the furminator has on this is the hair release button but for $30 less I don't need a button! This tool works like a charm! I have 2 dogs ( A Cairn-Terrier Mix and a Chinese Crested Powderpuff). My doggie was really shedding, and daily brushings with a regular dog brush weren't getting to the bottom of the problem–that undercoat that I can never really get to. Well, that changed with this Slicker Brush. When I took it out of the box, I jabbed my finger on the sharp metal bristles and it hurt. I wondered if it would hurt my doggie, being so sharp. But I looked at the instructions and saw an illustration of how to use the brush, which made me realize it would not hurt him if used correctly. I could not believe how much of his undercoat I was able to get off in just the first brushing. The gentle strokes soothed him, and he laid down and took it all in. I amassed a surprisingly large amount of hair, considering I brush him every day. But here's an extra "value benefit" I did not expect: I took him in for grooming, which is normally $80. This time, it was only $65, so I asked why. The groomer said, "I didn't have to spend an extra half-hour on his undercoat." I told her about the new brush, and she said, "That's great. Keep on using it. It will make him feel so much better." So, I saved $15 which more than covered the cost of the brush itself. This really works, and I especially appreciate that I'm able to press a button that raises the brush from the base for easy cleaning as I work.BlueHeelerMom
