Best Antibiotic For Dog Sinus Infection (Jan 2023 Update)

I highly recommend this antibiotic to any one that has to absolutely-positively needs to rid their animal, , of any nasty- "ooey-gooeyies." I had two experiences with this this pill. First, was for a major surgery for my tabby cat, Pippen, where he was recovering and on Clavamox for several weeks. I believe the quality of this rx, helped minimize down time for his recovery. He was back to normal in no time. The second was for my elderly rescue, Chula, whom I inherited a lot of malnutrition problems, Her tummy was a size of a basketball, which earned her the nickname " HeffeLump", Well after testing she was found to have severe liver infection and was 800 over 120, so in comes Clavamox. She has been on the pill fro appx 2 months and her tummy has gone down 3/4ths already. Clavamox is not he cheapest pill, at 0.89$++ per pill, but the first experience w Pip , made me go with it again. I highly recommend this pill. It is worth the extra$$$

I have a 20yo toy poodle whom I truly believe is only alive because of Clavamox. Well, Clavamox and peanut butter. She'll do anything for peanut butter! Her vet told me she would eventually need to be on it daily, particularly for her chronic dental/sinus issues, but other presenting problems included incontinence, difficulty breathing, signs of senility, struggles with her joints and recent cries out of the blue. I realized she must have reached the point where she needed daily doses, so I bought a large supply from Pet Meds. I hid the little pill in a scoop of peanut butter twice a day, and watched as she literally seemed to come back to life. She's no longer struggling to breathe through the dental/sinus infections, has stopped screaming, shows fewer signs of senility, and has regained control over her bladder. I do NOT like pills, but I would sincerely recommend this for anyone struggling with putting their pet down like we were. She is now back to licking us, wagging her tail, and walking! I have used Clavamox for several years. When one of my 3 boys (male cats) gets sick I start the Clavamox. The Vet has been cooperative enough to allow me to keep a couple doses of it (unmixed) on my shelf. It has been effective every time. One of the guys likes to get into fights and gets bit. The serious bites usually get infected and the Clavamox gets the infection cleared up in short order. I would like to call your attention to another thing that works. Colloidal Silver….. Colloidal silver was well known for it's antibiotic properties for hundreds and hundreds of years before antibiotics elbowed it out 50 + years ago. Colloidal Silver is making a come back outside the field of traditional medicine. Colloidal Silver does work. Many times it works where other antibiotics fail. Research "Colloidal Silver" on Google. You will be amazed at how many articles are there and how many people are giving it to their pets to keep them healthy. Also information on how to make it at home. I have read scientific articles that claim that adding Colloidal Silver to the regular antibiotic treatment improved the results. Read the ariticles and you be the judge. Donnie

My old boy 13-15 y/o make cat is suffering from a UTI or bladder inflammation. We have 2 new cats living with us now, and he's been marking..and consequently now has a bit of a UTI..had him on this for only 5 days and it cleared it up..but it started to come back. Apparently needs to be on for at least 10 days So just ordered a 10 day supply. He eats them like treats .

I am so grateful my vet approved this for me to receive at home. I have a healthy bunch of feral cats now all tamed, fixed and with shots. Did not intend on having so many but I can take good care of them and keeping them healthy was so important. My vet reccomended PETMEDS and being on social security they are affordable. God provides us with the right people.

My 12 yo cat Magi has urinary tract disease and has crystals on her bladder, my vet originally ordered Clavamox which is quite expensive. I did some research and found that clavamox isn't much different from amoxicillian and asked my vet if Magi could switch meds. I would highly recommend this medicine, it's affordable and effective. The only down side of it is that it came in bubble gum flavor and Miss Magi wasn't thrilled with that lol normally she takes her meds very calmly and that's it but with this flavor she scratched me up pretty good 🙁 but it worked and that's all that matters!!

This product is great for doggie ear infections. I have a German shepherd and they are known for ear infections due to there ears always being open and this stuff is amazing. Just use it once a week and you'll never have problems.

My 20 y.o. senior cat has had upper respiratory issues since he was 1 year old, but had gotten so chronic and so bad that he has literally had a stuffy nose and sneezing for an entire year straight. It was really draining his energy. Even in the summer, he was spending all day in his heated bed. The only thing my vet knew of that might help was an off-label use of Cerenia, which is expensive and was hard to get him to take. Out of desperation I tried this, and that same day I could tell a noticeable difference in my cat's ability to breath and how he felt. Within 24 hours his stuffy nose was almost gone, and it has stayed mostly gone with regular use of this product. It felt like such a miracle after seeing my cat be miserable for an entire year! I've been taking care of homeless cats and trying to find them forever homes for around 8 years. A lot of the babies have gotten eye infections. I live on disability and barely get by, so I can't afford to take them to a vet when something is wrong. I have to figure out how to heal them and I really like to do things natural when I can. I've tried everything I've heard about from L-Lysine, to apple cider vinegar on the neck, to antibiotic cream in the eyes, to Terramycin. Terramycin works the best, but only 1 store has it, it's $17 for a tiny tube, it's not a natural medicine, and it has to be put in the eyes which can't be done to the ones that can't be caught, so I can't and don't like to use it all the time. I'm always researching on the internet and found this site. Boy, am I glad I did! There's grown cats here that sneezes a lot so they need this also. I used this on 2 seven week old kittens that had eyes in terrible shape and were cleared up after putting it in their food twice. Also, I had read an article years ago about how good Plant Enzyme & Probiotics are for cats and dogs and I bought some for my cat. I ran out and low and behold, they sell it. I'm a customer for life!

One of the most frustrating problems I have faced as a veterinarian of 18 plus years experience is in client compliance in treating various infections at the appropriate dosing frequency and length of time. Many commonly used veterinary antibiotics either are very large to administer, often being in large capsule form, or have very poor palatability thereby frustrating animal guardians who will then be more likely not to follow the prescribed course of antibiotics, if there is too much of a struggle in administering a prescribed medication.. When Pfizer came out with this wonderful, easy to administer ONCE daily antibiotic, the compliance rate and clinical success rate in treated dogs improved dramatically for my clients. From its coated formulation and small size, this antibiotic is much easier to administer and use by my clients. Unlike other cephalosporins, like cephalexin, that often have to be given twice or three times daily, this small caplet reaches therapeutic concentrations in the blood for prolonged periods with only once daily administration. In particular this is most useful when treating the common staph skin infections in dogs , where length of therapy is sometimes 4-6 weeks or longer. With the development and efficacy of simplicef, I have seen much better case outcomes, especially with these skin cases, as well as other soft tissue infections including those of the urinary tract and lungs. I find that giving it with a small amount of food cuts down on any small chance at digestive upset. Of course like other antibiotics administered orally to our animals, a written prescription is necessary from your veterinarian. It is slightly more expensive, however in my opinion, the extra cost is certainly worth it, given the improved compliance and clinical outcome of my cases. I therefore give this product an overall rating and efficacy of a 5 with a taste and ease of use a 5 as well.

I have a 12-year-old mixed breed dog named Lucy. Lucy suffers from pretty intense allergies. Her number one culprit is grain. When she consumes grain, she gets very itchy ears. They often have to be treated with an anti-yeast drop. She has caused herself to have burst blood vessels in her ear that needed to be drained at the veterinarian. We tried. The Aller immune chew for her for the past three weeks and we noticed that she is not shaking or scratching nearly as much as she typically does since starting these Chews.
