Reviews:
I got this machine to clean up area rugs, especially because of the dog, there is more dirt ending on the carpet in the family room, regardless of top how well we clean his paws. I used the machine today for the first time and used it with the Bissell's detergent I had sitting around for years (from the previous machine I owed years ago). Since the carpet hasn't been cleaned for a while, I used deep clean setting. It refreshed the carpet all right, especially considering that some dirt has been there for a longer time and may be more stubborn (see pic for the dirt in the dirty water tank) . This being an area rug, I had an issue with tassels, as in spite of me being careful, they got sucked up by the brush. It would be convenient if the power button was closer to the handle as it would help with quicker shutting off and therefore prevent possible damage to the machine. It would be even better if it had an option for cleaning up fringes of the area rugs (I understand that this machine is designed with carpets and not necessarily with rugs in mind). When I finished cleaning and turned the machine off, it spit out a lot of fiber pulled from the rug. To me, that means that it is damaging to the rug, as it is effectively thinning it. Still, even that's ok cause the rug will likely last longer than me. My biggest complaint on this machine though is complexity on cleaning it and difficulty to clean the nozzle in particular (from the piled fiber remaining in it – see pic). I ended up using a zip tie to pull the dirt out. The brush is also not all that easy to clean and I ended up just wiping it the best I can. If I haven't run into difficulties described above (especially with cleaning the nozzle), I would give it 5 stars. I am glad I have gotten this machine as it did what I expected it to do.
After having rented and used Bissell's commercial Big Green Machine I decided to buy this unit for my own home use… mainly on the basis of cost levels. The rental unit cost me about $98 for a two-day rental (including a $30 deposit) so.a three-times-year rental worked out to about the same as buying this unit (including solution costs). I've used the unit once today for a total of about 3 hours and found that, unless you rush your use of the unit and treat it like a common vacuum cleaner, it works well enough… but there are a couple of qualifications. First, in filling the clean-water tank the markings on the outside of the tank are in WHITE in which can make it rather tough to read the volume levels in the tank. Switching to a black ink for the printing on the tank would alleviate this problem. Second, the unit is rather LOUD… especially in the upper sound register. While the unit overall is loud (as is to be expected) the suction motor emits sound in the high frequency range (1000-2000hz) that makes it suspect for long period use without adequate hearing protection… something that isn't mentioned anywhere in the printed material supplied with the unit. A pair of standard hearing protectors or at least a set of foam ear plugs will go a long way towards reducing this. Third, after rather prolonged use – a total of 3 hours the first day, I noticed that the motor/pump housing (near the on/off switch) was quite warm to the touch… well above human body temperature… around 140˚F as measured with an infrared thermometer. Not having any other unit(s) to test, I don't know whether or not this is the normal operating temperature for this model. Lastly, for those who claim that this model leaves the carpet extremely wet, I can only offer that this isn't a standard vacuum cleaner… the user needs to go much, much slower on both the push and pull strokes in order to get sufficient suction to remove as much moisture as possible.
Boy did I do My research on this Baby! As a user/owner I am being honest by saying There are a few issues with this Machine. No issue alone is Problematic, it CLEANS VERY WELL INDEED, however when there are 5 issues at once, it starts to ad up.The Bissell Cleaning Solutions are Exellant but Soo expensive(look for Generics). To clean a 3BD Home with Lounge/Dinning Stair case and Hallways will set you back between $100- 150 on Bissell Cleaning Solutions, I'm not kidding!!The 2 roller Brushes are Very Agressive compared to the suction, they literally rip the Carpet Fibres up in Chunks then block the Machine. The On/Off button is way down the side were you have to feel for it because You are standing to high trying to Juggle the Power cord and God knows what, it should on the top Driving handle. The water/Solution tank is far to small and the Water and Solution level marks are impossible to see. There is allot of Back and forth to the Bathroom tub to keep refilling and adding yet more Expensive Solutions while splashing water about. Don't even try and use it to clean your Matress(big Soggy mess). The cleaning attachments are OK, but it will take hours to clean Your Sofa and will hurt Your wrists (RSI) good job though. It is heavy and Combisome. The 2 roller Brushes don't disengage when you are using utility tools, so the hole Machine is blasting full bore all the time.It was fun at first, however the pipes kink, the Power cord keeps getting stuck under Machine, it keeps getting blockedITS A BIG JUGGLING ACT, and takes allot of Practice. PLEASE read instructions very carefully. If You can manage all that, it is a GOOD MACHINE in that it does Clean very well.If You have the Money for expensive Machines and are a 'Gadget Queen' this Carpet cleaner is a allot of Fun, and a Challange!Once Your things are cleaned, then there is the Question What do I do with this $600 Machine now IN THE CUPBOARD with all the other Gadgets. For Your Time, Your Labour and the Outragious cost of Bissell Cleaning Solutions YOU are better off getting the Professionals in once a Year to be honest! They use their Labour, Time and Products so You don't have to bother.Andrew

Reviews:
Ok, so I see the reviews and I can say I personally have owned 1 of the Bissell Revolutions 2x whatever cleaning power and I was satisfied (extremely satisfied as it still runs). I have a black lab and a long haired cat and I live in the country. We have absolutely no concrete or asphalt surrounding our house, and live by the coast so our dirt is probably about 30-40% sand, so tracking mud and sand is frequent in our home. I still have the Bissell (no complaints there), however I clean mine everytime after I use it and vacuume very very thoroughly before I shampoo with my shark navigator (that I am also very very happy with). The thing with all carpet cleaners is the way you treat them. You can't just vacuume once briefly then expect the shampooer to not pick up hair clumps. Do this: vacuume the area until you think u did good, then empty the vacuume and do it again. If you pick up no hair, use the shampooer. If you keep vacuuming up hair, then keep vacuuming until you basically aren't picking up hair, then you will not have issues with your shampooer. I just got the Hoover Powerdash (I got a super good deal for $20 from a garage sale brand new in box never used so I figured why not, my Bissell isn't a pet model so this will be good to try) and am writng this review in response to all the negative recent reviewers I see just because they are having so many of the same issues with clumped hair and leaks.. First off, don't leave your shampooer with dirty water, and it won't leak. Also, don't leave solution in it or simply store the resiviour separately so you won't have leaks either. These machines mainly use gravity to apply solution, possibly with the assist of a small pump like device that might be powered by the belt rotation to feed water (which is great, never have to replace an actual pump) so if you leave solution or dirty water stored in the resiviors, your bound for issues. It's all common sense, if you expect to just leisurely vacuume and have your shampooer do all the rest, then hire a pro. If your willing to take the correct steps in maintaining and shampooing your carpets to remove grime, these are for you.
One lady stated she's owned 12 of the exact 1 that I own (which is I'm assuming for a business or a friggin mansion) so not sure what she's doing wrong but I guarantee the problem is operator error. Especially if she's having the same issues with the same shampooer that I have never seen, unless of course she's overusing them when she shoulda got a commercial cleaner for whatever she needs 12 of these things. I use mine about 15-20 times per year for the past 2 or 3 years and don't have issues. This is for residential use, if taken care of they will last. One last thing, clean your shampooer directly after use, I take mine out front and rinse it on our gravel driveway, being careful to only lightly spray the nozzle and brush assembly, keeping water away from the motor. This will ensure a clean start next session, and is a hell of a lot easier than cleaning clumped up dirt and hair that's caked up and dried solid before u even get to shampooing and even better for the machine instead of just flat out not cleaning at all and burning out the motor due to naglagence and poor maintenance. Use your head people, these are designed to clean what dry vacumes can't, not vacume up hair and remove grime at once. You need to remove a majority of the hair and then these come in and remove everything else just fine. Plain and simple.
Tip: make your own solution using a mixture of baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, laundry detergent or dish soap and whatever essential oil fragrance you like (orange or grapefruit recommended). Search online for the correct amounts of ingredients for your needsTyler D

this cleans pretty well. Much better than my big Spin Scrub Hoover. This tiny little thing has the right kind of brushroll to pick up the carpet fibers and sweep off the dirt. It has good suction. Traffic areas get matted or compressed so they need the brushroll. What makes it a problem, is that the dirty water reservoir has very limited capacity so it only cleans about a 3×3 foot area before it is too full. That is, in a high traffic area. It might clean a slightly larger area if you are only lightly cleaning invisible dirt. I think the mechanism senses SUDS and freaks out and quits suctioning, and it also let a large amount of sudsy water leak out on my hardwood floor next to my carpet, without warning. If it's not very sudsy, it won't leak so bad, just a little, when full. so i had to empty this dirty water tank 3x on a 2.5x 8 foot hall carpet with low pile. . Not cool. Definitely ONLY for small areas as i said above. I was attracted to the bigger more expensive ones of this style that have 2 brush rolls and much larger capacity, and wider cleaning path. I will probably have to get one of those, as this one won't work well for a regular sized room, even just the traffic areas.lexy
Initially bought to clean carpet from when my pup was sick and tried to hide downstairs in the only part with carpet when she wasn’t feeling well. Unfortunately, that liquid sat into the carpet without knowing for a while. This carpet cleaner took care of that and then some ! I LOVE the feature that it has heat to help dry the carpet so you can basically walk onto it right after. I’ve had my basement get water in it after a storm and I was able to also use this to suck up all the water out of the carpet. It saved us from having to replace the baseboards/carpet. I understand it is compact so it’s not really meant to clean your entire house of carpet. The bin gets full quickly with the dirty fluids. The unit isn’t heavy like a commercial use which could be an issue if you have thick/deep carpet. It’s easily disassembled for cleaning of hair in the brush. I did notice when sucking up water from the thick carpets constantly to save us from flooding it was almost as if I could start to smell the belt running hot. In that case I tried my best to wait longer between vacuuming. I’d recommend this to anyone. 4.5 stars only for unit capacity is slightly not enough for my liking.kelsey.k

Reviews:
I've had a carpet cleaner for 18 years and it has gotten so heavy now because I broke my neck and I can't push and pull like I use to so I thought I would purchase a new one that was lightweight and easier to use. This is is easier to push and pull but it's not as lightweight as I thought it would be. It works good, picks up well. But I don't like not having a separate tank for the cleaning solution. If you're like me and can't always afford high dollar cleaning solutions and use Pinesol or Lysol to clean your carpet it foams up. You can still do it you just need to be careful how much you use at a time. The tanks are smaller and you have to empty them more often but I knew that when I bought it. I REALLY like where you attach the hose for cleaning your couch. If you don't need it you can keep it put up out of your way. I hated my last one because the hose would always fall off and you would have to stop and wind it back up onto the handle of the cleaner. If you live in a large house this is definitely not for you but it you live in a apartment or mobile home I recommend it highly.Happygirl03
DO NOT BUY…. Horrible design first off making the return tank a nightmare. Second, suctions leaves a lot to be desired…. Third, so loud may drown out a concert…… Here is the reason why I am posting this: 4 months in possession, 3 uses only to have a major part break due to cheap plastic and a roller completely seized. Anything outside the motor such as any moving part has only a 30 day warranty. The warranty is so limited you might as well not even buy it given poor poor quality of products these days. Eventually I fought hard enough to get a replacement, but trust me you do not want the hassles. Stay away unless you absolutely will be buying an extra warranty. That is what companies do anymore, pass the warranty on crap products to insurance… The American Way, no liability and yet make that profit. Serious junk and rollers alone are $82 which is a joke….Brittany
My review is accurate and I endorse this product 💯 % This company is very responsive to solutions to any questions or problems . This shampooer takes deep cleaning to the max with the powerful double antimicrobial power brushes on the Dual Power Max Pet cleaner with heavy-duty bristle action .. i have multiple pets and tough urine stain issues and it did terrific to lift tough, deep down dirt up ans with correct solution the urine stains were successfully removed … one good feature is the built-in edge cleaners that cover edge-to-edge carpet cleaning. This Hoover® Brand pet carpet cleaner's lightweight design, dual tank technology and accessory tool pack makes cleaning tough pet messes easier and was a purchase must for me and my furbabies. Finish fast no soaked carpet and worry if tracking more dirt on damp carpet … with heated cleaning and easy to empty tanks and fast drying. Features listed by the company that I have found to be so accurately depicted… Antimicrobial Pet PowerBrushes: lift the tough, deep down pet stains up and out by scrubbing and grooming for deep carpet clean 👍 Brushrolls and Upholstery Tools: Tools are treated with antimicrobial materials to help prevent bacteria growth and odors … works super 👍 Clean Boost® Control: Adds the extra solution you need to get the tough pet stains up and out HeatForce™ power means faster drying I love the fast drying options !!!! 13" Removable Nozzle: Gives you a wide cleaning path and hassle-free clean-up ( this is very handy and a favorite feature of mine) Large Tank Capacity: Tank makes cleanup easy with fewer trips to the sink ( I hate to get prepared for a big cleaning and be discouraged by things that don't work … that will kill my cleaning mood if I have to repeatedly stop and empty so I like the large capacity tank ! Let's talk long term ::: 2-year Limited Warranty :: the Hoover company stands behind their product ! I personally had an issue and it was quickly resolved and even has follow ups to make sure all was well. So, if there are any in warranty issues feel secure in knowing I give a good report on the companies promot response and resolution. Oh and it's Recommended for rugs also !Judy

Reviews:
I did a lot of research before purchasing this, and this one was the best reviewed, for good reason. It works very well. Pre-treat, soak and then scrub the work area in different directions using a brush (or using the included brush head tool, but don't apply suction yet). Don't over-saturate the work area. Take it slow, keep the fit tight to maintain suction and make multiple passes in different directions for best results. It's easy to clean, and there is a special attachments (not included, but available for purchase separately) called the HydroRinse Self Cleaning Tool, that aids in cleaning the hose. The only negative is that it is a little loud considering how short the hose is and how close your head is to the motor. Let me conclude by saying….Bissell sure does make things confusing. So, here is a summary of what I learned that might save you some time: This portable carpet cleaner is sold at a few different major retailers, and each retailer seems to sell a different version of it. The only differences are the name (some call it "little green", some don't), accent color (blue, purple, green, etc.), the number and type of attachments / cleaning tools and their color, and which starter cleaning solution it comes with. The machine itself is the same. The attachments / cleaning tools and cleaning solutions will work interchangeably and can be purchased separately if you want to expand your cleaning capabilities, but some attachments can be surprisingly costly, so it's generally best to buy the version that comes with the attachments you prefer. One of the reasons I chose this model is because it comes with three cleaning tools (whereas most versions sold elsewhere only come with only two), and the extra tool is a crevice tool, which none of the other retail versions came with. To find this information, I found the best approach was to get the exact model number (number, not name) and then look up the product info / support page on the Bissell website.XprofQ
I like that it’s a portable handheld. I don’t like that it can really only be used in 2 positions. Flat, with bristles parallel to the ground, or upright where the bristles are positioned at the top. According the the manual, you must not turn the vacuum around on its head to vacuum upside down, and you can’t vacuum sideways. If you have back cushions that can’t be removed, then you can clean the top portion (wherever the vacuum head reaches). But the long body and handle will prevent you from getting to the bottom areas. And like I said, according to the manual you’re not supposed to turn the vacuum upside down or sideways because of the risk of leaking. If your seat is at a slight angle, so that the vacuum’s bottom is higher than the front bristle area, then performance suffers again. You can see water being sucked up, but then coming down again around the sides. I think if you’re only doing flat vacuuming, like for carpets or cushions that you can sit flat, then this handheld will perform better for you. Cleaning curtains upright might be alright too, provided you’re not trying to get to a spot near the bottom.Becs
This is a great little bundle for pet owners and anyone that wants a tool to help things clean. The attachments are easy to use and the machine is easy to figure out. The trial size will basically get you one full tanks worth of cleaning if you go for full strength, so it's good that the bundle also comes with a full size. Ignore the label on the full size bottle that says for upright machines only, apparently that doesn't apply to the little green pet pro, it's exactly the same formula as the trial bottle. Only thing to give a heads up about is that when you use the 2-in-1 pet tool, make sure you have the slider slid all the way down to the wet selection or you'll think that it doesn't work. It has some play in between the dry and wet selection, almost like a neutral area, so if it's not spraying just make sure you've slide the button as far as it can go towards "wet". It is very loud, so you may also want to grab a pair of earplugs to use while using the machine since there isn't much distance between you and the noise as you use it, they will definitely help. sSydney

With 2 Great Dane puppies and 2 19 year old cats I have a tons of experience with removing animal odors and stains. Most less expensive products, that I have tried, mask the smell temporarily. They do not, however, neutralize the protein in the urine which is what smells. Nature's Miracle contains ingredients to neutralize that protein. This results in odor removal. It leaves a fresh scent behind. Notably it also is a great stain remover on upholstery and carpet both. Just wanted to mention here that Nature's Miracle also makes a separate product for removing skunk stink from animals. I keep a gallon of Nature's Miracle on hand at all times. And, a bottle of de-skunk. You never know when you might need it!elissa.y
I decided to give this a shot after trying a few different shampoos with varying results. This stuff is great! I cannot believe the difference in my carpet color, and it smells great! It got out all the stains from when my dog was a puppy, and some older stains left from an elderly cat we had. My carpet looks just about as clean as it did when I first moved in! I was also very happy that this shampoo was not sudsy at all, as it makes it hard to fill the little tank on my carpet cleaner up without making a mess.Noodle and Freyja
Because I had 6 senior dogs (with one paralized for the mid back down) itvwas nit uncommon for one of them to have an accident in the house. I tried every brand of carpet shampoo until I finally paid the few extra dollars and tried Natures Miracle. It removed the spots and the odors immediately. It is a little more costly than the other shampoos but because it works on the first shampoo you actually end up saving money on the long run.lisa.f

I will start off by saying that I had problems with my order but Bissell Customer Service was very good. I would like to thank customer support agent Nilka for their help in resolving the matter. When I finally received my carpet cleaner it was easy to assemble. The instruction manual is well written and easy to follow with diagrams explaining everything in detail. Included in the box is a sample of cleaning solution which was good for just over 3 full tanks of clean water. In use the machine is light weight and easily maneuverable. There is a noticeable change in motor sound when the dirty water tank reaches the full line which is very helpful. I was surprised at how much water was extracted from the carpets. The carpets were just damp after cleaning and dried in about 5-6 hours. Just be sure to go slow during the extraction passes and allow the carpet cleaner to do it's work. The 2 tanks are small but they are easy to remove, drain, refill and replace. I went through approximately 12-14 full tanks to thoroughly clean a large 1 br apartment with wall to wall carpet. (Living room, dining room, bedroom and hallway). The carpet cleaner does an excellent job of cleaning the carpets. Afterwards the carpets are clean, fresh and look revitalized. After use the PowerClean TurboBrush pet advanced carpet cleaner is really easy to thoroughly clean before storing it away. I highly recommend Bissell for both their customer service and superior product.
I purchased this item in a pinch. I was visiting my mom and walked into a house of fleas! Pest control was unavailable for 4 days, and offered a flea bomb service. which meant all animals and people would need to gone for a day. This was a huge problem! My mom has 4 cats and a dog. 2 of the cats are saved strays, so she can not touch them yet. Anyway after googling our options we got some flea meds from the vet, and purchased this item, as my research said fleas drown easily, and any soap will also kill them. We choose this item because it was small and lightweight as neither of us are young anymore. We got it home and assembled it easily. Added water and soap and began flea control! We cleaned the wall to wall carpet in her 2 bedroom flat! It cleaned nicely, and looked good. Everything soft was put in the washer and dryer. It dried in a few hours with the ceiling fans on! We didn't know immediately if we removed any fleas. After pest control came out a week later, they didn't find any! She was given the all clear! Although my first night visiting was spent carpet cleaning the rest of my visit was very nice! This little machine was easy to use, and I ended up purchasing one for myself a couple months later. Neither of our homes are big, so since this is easy to use and lightweight, I can get it upstairs. You have to fill and empty nearly every room, sometimes more depending on size. The dirty water tank looks big but stops picking up water when the noise changes. Which is intensional, so you know when to empty. Looks like it would hold much more, but after a quick empty, it was cleaning again. The power button is in a really weird location, can't hit it with your foot, but is way low down. Again not a big deal, but I would prefer not to bend if I don't have too. This item was decently priced. It was better than renting one of those giant store machines, which would have been a struggle for us to transport and use ourselves. This thing works!Vallerii
Hi, just tried out my new 2806D rug cleaner. I'm a senior with arthritis issues especially in the hands. It is a light a weight machine (good for my hands), it's easy enough to assemble, has a great design (2 compartments, clean water and dirty), it has a good length cord but I had to add an extension cord due to logistical plug outlet situations, but, I did find a couple of challenges…. I find the on/off button to be very difficult to navigate as in it takes several attempts to get it on or off. It is a weird button in my opinion. And I find the latch releases on the dirty tank to be difficult as well; to even be able to open them is challenging. Compared to my last Bissell rug cleaner, this machine seems like a "baby" machine, as in not as big as my original one. But as the reviews state, it does great job! I am not sorry I chose this model and maybe it will get easier with each use.

I'm in love❤ with this carpet cleaner. No wrestling with a heavy bulky rental cleaner. Easy to fill and dump dirty water, it disperses the cleaner automatically to perfection. It cleaned better than store rental. Extremely easy to use and the brushes on bottom help clean rugs or carpet. I had some very tough stains and it did superb..just a little pretreat. I never thought it would perform ad great as it did. Seen some bad reviews and wondered if they correctly used it? Can't imagine it doing a bad job. Just remember to vacumn prior to using the carpet cleaner as it says. Thank Hoover for saving the back if a sixty year old with this easy to use and to put together carpet cleaner. Going to clean car seats next with the accessories.Iseaulater
I clean houses for a living. Residential, rentals, Airbnb's move-outs/move-ins, I've had this carpet shampooer for maybe a year and a half, used it a handful of times not as much as I would have liked to or needed to. I ended up getting a little hand held spot cleaner that I use but it doesn't even cover the ground I needed the normal size shampooer for. In the despencer where you are supposed to put the cleaner in, it has gotten clogged and no cleaner will come out of it at all anymore and when I do use it just water comes out? But it smells so much like mold and mildew, I don't understand why it would smell so bad especially when I clean it thouroughly after every use. On top of that when I bought it brand new in the box that had never been opened, I didn't get all the attachment pieces or the filters or a lot of the parts that are supposed to come wirh it, it was just the hose one basic attachment piece for that hose and a couple other parts but it was missing most the accessories it was supposed to come with. It worked good the first two times I used it maybe but after that it was garbage. I'm very disappointed with this product, it was a waste of money 100%.Jill
I had to send it in for repair after having it for 14 months because it stopped suctioning. Assurion sent me a gift card via mail. It's been well over 7-10 business days, so I made contact again. They're resending me a gift card, and I should receive it in 1-2 business days. Hopefully, I get that card soon because I need to clean my carpets, I run a dog rescue and get a lot of accidents. Now I have to research for another one. I could rebuy this one, but honestly, after using it for a few months, it really didn't clean well. It reminded me of a cheaper carpet cleaner, and I was not satisfied with the results. Also, keep your box if you get a warranty with your carpet cleaner. In order to use my warrant, I had to send in my carpet cleaner to "get fixed". I was fortunate enough to have found my box buried deep in a closet! Otherwise, it can be difficult to find a box big enough to send the product in. According to All-State/Asurion, my carpet cleaner was "not able to be repaired" so they sent a gift card that doesn't even have a sufficient amount of funds to repurchase a new one. Warranties are great at times, but can really be a hindrance when trying to settle your clam(s).Shanell

I got this for my 2 area rugs that are both about 5×8. I have a dog but she's house trained so it's mostly for my 5 and 1 year olds messes. It has worked well for me the past few months. It does spit clumps of hair and dirt out but it wasn't anything that was too bothersome for me I just picked them up. But now about 5 months in, the suction plate keeps popping off mid-run and stops suctioning completely. I clean it regularly after every use. I've followed the cleaning instructions and even took it apart to clean it piece by piece and it worked for about 7 minutes then quit again. Not sure why it keeps popping off and losing suction but I'm too broke to afford another one so looks like duct tape will be my friend on this one.
My home has mainly hardwood and tile, but the bedrooms are carpet. I wasn’t really in the market for a huge machine, so I went with this one. I’ve done two bedrooms and so far, generally pleased. Pros—lightweight, easy to assemble and maneuver, easy to use. It has done a pretty decent job of removing general dirt that accumulates over time in my carpets. The carpets have also dried quickly for me. I just turned on the ceiling fan after and they were completely dried overnight. Cons—clean water tank is small, so you have to stop multiple times to empty and refill. My standard size guest room took 3 refills; however I considered the size when I bought and knew that was probably going to happen. I also have a problem with the soap suds bubbling through the vent on the top of the dirty water tank. I’m not really sure why it does this. It doesn’t really cause a problem; it’s just weird. The dirty water tank also is designed in a way that makes it hard to clean the inside and get all the water out. Overall, it’s still a solid, compact little machine for the price. As for the complaints about cleaning the brushes, I would make sure that you vacuum you vacuum your home thoroughly before you clean, especially if you have pets. I have had no issue with the brushes.krystlerb

This product is okay. It's not as phenomenal as a small shampooer would've been, but it does a good temporary job. I have a sectional which 3 dogs occupy basically all day long. There's dirt, there's hair, and there's a few mystery spots, which is what leads me to buy this product. Price isn't terrible, especially seeing as a little goes a long way with the foam, so, this will last you a while. What knocks stars off for me is the fact that a lot of the foam gets trapped in the bristles that I can't get use out of, and the foam sprays out of everywhere, making it a bit messy, and the part that sucks the most is it didn't get every stain out completely. It lightened them, definitely, but it did not fully remove, but from a distance, you wouldn't even know. I'll use this product again, hopefully a second go around will remove the stains I have. #springcleaningjayd.m
I have a cat who will pee on bedding or furniture if something is wrong with the litter box. We recently tried to switch to the litter robot and it was a disaster! He Peed all over our couch and more. This urine remover was a lifesaver. It got both the stains and the smell out. You just have to follow the directions exactly!nada.e
This is perfect for the smaller messes on the couch, bed or rug. I really love this product for the convenience and ease of use. It does the job and leaves the accident stinky free and smelling clean. It works in a pinch and it even works on messes from my grandson especially when he was a newborn. So for someone with a house full and pets it’s a must when I just need a quick solution. We have bought several cans of this and will consider to do so. We’ve already recommended this and would recommend to any fellow pet owner.jessica.a

Since getting my puppy who is very adamant on sleeping with me at night. She isn’t fully potty trained yet or able to jump off my bed so when she needs to use the restroom, my bed is her toilet. This stuff is amazing, it cleans the stains right out, can instantly see results. The only thing I dislike about it is how much product gets dispensed, definitely take it slow when spraying this stuff. Also smells very nice, nothing like chemicals more of a lemon/citrus scent that my puppy wants to lick up (be aware of that too)korina h
This will get a spot up and out, but I can't tell you that it gets rid of the scent. I mean, for an old stain, definitely not. For newer stains, can't really tell, it is highly fragranced itself and seems to only mask scents. It certainly doesn't prevent new ones from being made in the same spot, and I have concerns about how safe it is for pets. I feel I need to wash the carpet after using it just to be sure there is no residue to be harmful. Just invested in a Bissell Little Green machine. If I need to wash it anyway, may as well do it right and easier for me in the end!Kat
Now, would you believe this cutie makes such a mess with his shedding? We only have large rugs and no carpets so I use the Resolve large area for pet hair (also have used high traffic) and they both work great for pet hair. We have 3 dogs inside (2 being long hair) and this stuff works great. I just spray and let it sit and then vacuum or use my squeegee to get all the hair up. Works like a charm!brittany.w

I have a cat that I love dearly but the poor thing does have a sensitive stomach sometimes. For this reason, I was excited to give this OxiClean Carpet & Area Rug Pet Stain & Odor Remover a try. Previously I used one of those bulky cleaning machines and it has been a pain to drag that out to do a quick spot cleaning. OxiClean is more effective because it easily lifts away the stain while leaving the carpet nicely scented. It wasn’t until a started using this product that I realized how dingy my carpets had become all over. The pet vomit areas cleaned with OxiClean have made my carpet look fresh and new. It is still several steps to cleaning (saturate stain, let sit, wipe away, let dry, then vacuum) so I wish the product was even more simplified (e.g. a spray it, blot it, and forget it). But overall it is a simpler and more effective process really and I would definitely recommend it to a friend. I received this product free for the purpose of my review but opinions are 100% my own.mlminwilm
I have been using Dawn liquid on hairballs from my two wonderful cats around here, but never could remove all residue. I have been dreading pulling out carpet shampoo machine. But I noticed this Oxy Clean for pet stains. I read a lot of mixed reviews, but I was desperate! I am not up to shampooing at this time. I have carpet through out the house except bathrooms and kitchen. Of course my girls never leave a mess on the tiles (easy to clean), they are so sweet. But they have left hairballs everywhere else. I have blue carpet, and one room gray carpet. All carpet low pile, some height, but sorta low. I chose the cats room first incase of bleaching out color. But to my relief no bleaching. Same on all the carpets. No bleaching out color! I started by vacuuming first to remove all cat hair, or what ever. Then I sprayed stained areas till pretty wet. Nice white foam covered areas. I used timer on stove, set it for 20 minutes, because these are old stains. I got out the soft cloths for removal. Timer went off in 20 minutes. Went back in room and I had my doubts because no foam seen except one. I wore kitchen gloves for cleaning to protect my hands. Well got down on knees with soft cloths. I wiped residue off with ease. One was stubborn. Had to work at removal. I even had to repeat the spray process on it. I even blotted areas to remove excess moisture. But my goodness! It looked great. I went back two days later to give it time to really dry, and vacuumed it. Ladies and Gentlemen! Beautiful! Beautiful! I can shampoo another day! Yippee! No stain can be seen anywhere I cleaned with Oxy Clean carpet and rug cleaner for pet stains. Best just under $5 I have ever spent. I noticed there is still quit a lot still in bottle. But I plan to purchase another one next time I am in my Neighborhood Walmart for the future. This is liquid gold to me. I am very happy, carpets look great, I highly recommend this product. I have not been influenced by anyone in this review, just wrote what I experienced.AlwaysAskingQuestions
Absolutely in looooove with this product. My Co-Op will not give my rug deposit back without the floors being 80% covered. I inherited 3 area rugs with the place but they smelled and looked not so fresh. I picked up same day delivery at Lowe's and used Resolve Pet Stains remover thinking the reviews were accurate and maybe it would smelly goods – Nope not at all. Used 3/4ths of the bottle and it just smelled like wet not so fresh. Fast forward to my Walmart delivery, sprayed it on – the scent is still absolute yummy smelly goods like Febreeze but with stain Oxy fighters. Hope the stains will vaccuum up in the morning – Didn't read the directions I was so excited about the smell! Only 2 more rugs to go 5/5 Recommend

I have always had good luck with Resolve Carpet Cleaner getting up whatever spots and stains we end up with, so when I saw this while trying to finish filling a box of "Prime Pantry" products, I didn't hesitate to add it to my order. Good thing I did too because within a week it earned its keep. A two-inch long ink mark appeared (was discovered) on our brand new, dove grey living room sofa shortly after a sales rep left. It was next to where he sat, and pretty much exactly where he placed his clipboard and pen. Since this was the ONLY time we have been in the living room since the sofa arrived, and only my husband and I have been in the house during this time, there is little doubt in my mind where the mark came from. Lucky for me, the Resolve Carpet Cleaner and a white washcloth cleaned the mark with little effort and absolutely no fading or piling of the velvet fabric.jennifer.f

I love this product and the price is reasonable. It also gives off a nice clean scent when you are done. The little bottle that came with my shampooer and that is substantially more expensive on here, didn't have a scent…some people may like that, but I like that not only did my carpet look clean but it smelled clean too!liz.g

It's tough to please me! I've used lots of other carpet and upholstery cleaners for my home and cars. I have NEVER had a product that works as well as Blue Magic. It's an aerosol which makes it easy to use and it just works, on all fabrics. I had a few stains on my carpet for years and tried EVERYTHING on them, nothing worked. Used Blue Magic, let it sit for a little bit, scrubbed it a little and those stains disappeared! GONE! Without discoloring the carpet (wall to wall, so I was taking a chance) not even a little bit. I can compare it with WISK, the best stain remover ever for clothing…but now that's gone. Well, I'm going to stock up on Blue Magic before that goes too. It happens every time, if something works, they get rid of it too!Jack
I have no idea where I got this magical spray. it made itself into my cleaning items that I keep under my kitchen sink. I picked it up once and thought i'd give it a try. since then, (about 2 years ago), it's the only carpet stain remover i'll EVER USE. Ive been told, many years ago, that most domestic household carpet stain removers, (Resolve), only cause the stained area to further attract dirt and stains. this information was from professional carpet cleaners. initially I figured that was their tactic to get you to use them. But after a couple of uses, I hated to admit it, they were right. Now I have a spot remover that takes care of EVERY stain I, and my 4 dogs, can throw at it. I wish I could thank whomever it was that brought this incredible product into my home!satisfied
This stuff is great! Have used it for years. When removing spots from carpets, directions say to spray the spot, and then get a towel or something and dab it dry. So i spray a couple of spots, then go get a cloth to dab it with and often, when i return I can't fine the spots i'm supposed to dab!!Wentz

I have a commercial style Rug Doctor carpet cleaner and it's the best machine I have ever laid my hands on! Nobody can believe what this machine and the cleaners that coordinate with it, can do. Rug Doctor products are incredible and I never ceases to be amazed at how fresh, and new my carpet and rugs look after using this solution in my machine.
Never have issues with Cleaning Product adding Pic just so you have documentation on how disgusting this machine was and had to be cleaned before I could use it. So Disgusting would even spray solution because it was clogged. Had to blow it out with an air compressor to get it to function.gale r.

I wanted to make sure I gave it a chance before I wrote my review. My cat peed on my bed and it got thru my blanket, sheet, mattress topper and it got on my mattress. I washed everything else a few times and that took care of the smell on all of that but I couldn’t get the pee away from my mattress. It smelled at night and I couldn’t fall asleep and I tried every pet stain remover we had in our house. So I decided no harm in trying this… I used it for two days. Sprayed really close to the mattress and let it soak. Then I took a damp rag and scrubbed and did that about twice. The second day I just sprayed it and then an hour later I blow dried it to help it dry faster. It worked! I can’t smell the pee anymore (thank god) and I can finally sleep! Absolutely recommend this product.Kay
Well, it works! Usually I use natures miracle but it wasn’t actually cleaning my carpet that well and the smell was just insane after a while. A couple of minutes after scrubbing this into my carpet in some spots where my dog had marked hard, I didn’t think it was going to work and I could still smell the urine but after an hour of letting it air out, the stains were gone except one bad one (I’d expect that and will just try using this again in that spot more thoroughly as it was lightened back up by 50%) and the smell was gone and everything smelled good again. Took some elbow grease but it works well for bad pet stains and smells.Hannah
Omg!!! I’m impressed! My son and puppy marked their territory in a couple places in the house and we could never get the smell out. It was embarrassing and we haven’t had anybody over because of it. I saw this in Walmart and decided to try this since the other sprays didn’t work. I sprayed this on a spot and it has a strong lemon smell. I went back over there an hour later and I smell NOTHING. I can’t believe it! It definitely works the first time like the bottle says.dominique.p

I've been using this for years and along with the spray, it really does remove everything from the carpet and rugs. I'm not sure I can attest to ANY product having a deterrent that works for dogs re-marking, but so long as it comes out, it's all part of having pets. We have two house chickens that are recuperating so they can't be with the flock and they've spent the winter indoors with us. They wear diapers, but nothing is fool-proof and when the chickens make messes, this product miraculously removes EVERYTHING and makes my carpet look brand new. The dogs make enough mess so I'm thrilled to have a product I can count on to have a clean home that doesn't look like we have animals running all over!
Clothes have fibers just like a carpet does. When all else fails and the stain will not completely disappear, I use resolve carpet stain remover. It really gets down into the fibers and out comes the stains. If the stain is really bad…..dried blood or grass stains that never come out no matter how many times it gets washed, sometimes need to re apply carpet stain remover 2-3 times and eventually it comes clean.Anne
I’ve been using this carpet cleaner for many years and will continue forever – it is the best out there. Pet stains, food stains, random unknown source stains, you name it, it treats it all. I find the best method is to spray the stain, let it sit, then scrub/dab (people tend to have strong opinions here HA!), let it sit a little more, then vacuum. Depending on how bad or deep the stain is, you might have to repeat. Highly recommend!xokimmy

I have twin boy toddlers and let me just say there is no possible way I can go without a carpet cleaner. Since my boys were born I went from cleaning my carpet a few times a year to a few times a week. I’ve literally had just about every carpet cleaner on the market. I know what I want in a carpet cleaner and either they didn’t meet my expectations or they couldn’t handle the abuse.
My Hoover smartwash pet is by far the best I’ve had. The suction this cleaner has is unbelievable. I’ve read some reviews about it losing suction before I bought it and the only thing I can think of is maybe they’re not putting the lid of the dirty tank on correctly. They’ve made it easy to clean the brushes. My carpet dries very quickly and the dirt that comes out of it is amazing!
It cleans better than the others I’ve had, but I still carry my little hand held scrubber brush to get the ground up stuck to the carpet messes my toddlers are notorious of leaving behind. However I cont think there’s a carpet cleaner out there that can handle that. What this does have is the neat pre treating wand that I can use on the mess before I scrub it, which is awesome! I’ve owned it for a few months now and I can honestly say I’m so happy I found this carpet cleaner. It’s well worth the money! I love it!Jamie Adkins

So far I've used this on two carpets. Our garage (very tight low profile and thin) carpet and our bedroom ( on a very dens plush pile carpet with 1/2" pile). Both carpets were extremely dirty (hadn't been cleaned in years). Both carpets came out looking almost brand new. I'm beside the fact that I didn't get pictures, but trust me, this thing works great! Oh, and even if you already had the Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe, you've got to upgrade! The Power Scrub Deluxe works great, but wait till you get your hands on this baby! There are some things that I don't like about this new cleaner and I will list them here, but this is just so hopefully someone in engineering is listening and can make changes to the next unit: – Carry handle: So unbalanced! Why did you move it from the front of the unit!? If I pick up the unit just from the carry handle, it tips over. Especially with water tank full. – If going really slow forward, sometimes the unit things I've stopped and goes into the dry mode and stops spraying solution. I was going pretty darn slow though so not sure if this can be fixed without a manual override. – Water splashes out of the side (mostly on the left side) past the reach of the vacuum. Enough to leave a long streak the length I've pushed forward. Since it's mostly on the left, I've decided to work my way from left to right to be sure and vacuum up that excess water. Maybe a shield is needed to prevent this. -As with my last unit. getting right against walls on wall to wall carpets is impossible. Luckily those are less traveled areas, but unfortunately since this thing cleans so well, there is a noticeable difference between what is scrubbed and what is not. But WOW! this thing cleans well! I don't think even the professional cleanings we've had in years past did this well of a job! Thank you Hoover!Captn Jim
My last Hoover carpet cleaner lasted 10 years. So we wanted to buy another Hoover product. The machine we bought is very easy to use. Does a great job cleaning and is very easy to clean the machine when finished. All covers and tanks can be removed without the use of any tools, brilliant. Including the rotating brushes. My only concerned about this machine is the plastics are all very light weight. So durability is a concern. I'll have to be very careful when using this machine so as not to damage it. Other than that I'm very happy with its performance. A very well designed carpet cleaner. Will

Reviews:
We have two cats (one who is spayed but still sprays to mark his territory; and one who consistently overeats and throws up on the carpet…) AND we have two kids, a toddler and a newborn. So between cats, toddler spills, and newborn spits-ups, our rugs and carpets are CONSTANTLY getting messy or stained. This deep cleaner is LEGIT. I have only ever rented one from a grocery or hardware store and hadn't considered having one for my home due to their usual bulkiness. However, this one isn't bulky at all! It is practically the same size as our traditional vacuum, which I love. My favorite feature was its size and ease of use. It is not too difficult to maneuver and move around the house. (However, if you have stairs, and are starting with a full water bucket, you may need to take the cleaner up first followed by cleaner bucket, since the water can add some weight.) It was pretty easy to follow directions and assemble. I was a little hesitant to pull the water/cleaner solution bucket off at first because it didn't seem to slide out as easy as instructions showed, and I didn't want to break it. However, it was okay to pull a little harder, and it pops right out (and easily pops back in too). This deep cleaner was great at getting stains and pet odors out of our carpet! It made the carpet look new too! I also was super grossed out and surprised with how MUCH dirt was being pulled up from our carpets… the dirty water bucket was soooo dirty. I love seeing the results and knowing that the carpets don't just look cleaner, but actually are so much cleaner (especially with a small baby who spends a lot of time on them). The tough stain hose and tool worked well and were easy to switch to and use too. I would prefer if it was a little wider though. It's a great size for upholstery but would have been quicker for my narrow carpeted staircase if the tool was wider to cover more ground quicker. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this carpet clean
I highly recommend Bissell for both their customer service and superior product.GeoM
I love the look and feel of this carpet cleaner! It's slim, sleek and lightweight and the crystal clear tanks are beautiful! I feel like it did a good job of getting the carpets clean, as most carpet cleaners on the market do. It was easy to assemble and the accessories are great. I love that it came with a mechanism to clean out the front where the water and debris gets sucked up, because with our previous machine there was no way to get this clean and it would get pretty nasty and stinky. I also love how the dirty water tank has smooth pieces instead of foam, it's far easier to clean. These both were huge pluses for me. There are a few downsides to this machine, which is why I rated it four stars. The running time of the clean and dirty water tanks don't match up and the dirty water tank is deceptively small (it looks huge!). Both are not deal breakers by any means, but I found it odd that the machine doesn't have a way to signal when the clean water tank is empty, especially since they don't fill at the same rate. When the dirty tank is full, the pitch changes, but there is no way to tell when the clean is empty besides bending over to look. I often found myself thinking I was making progress only to find that I had no idea when the clean tank ran out. The dirty water tank is also a little bit difficult to remove without making a noise that sounds like you're going to crack the plastic. The beater bar also continues to spin when you use the attachments, which is unfortunate. In Bissell's defense, they do mention that you'll need to keep moving the machine while using the attachments so it doesn't ruin the carpet, but it would be far more convenient if it could just stop when the attachment is put on. Overall, I think this is a good machine, even with these quirks. It definitely does the job it sets out to! A big thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for giving me the opportunity to test this carpet cleaner!
