Collar as a whole works. The shock is effective and adjustable to fit many needs. My 2 gripes are that the audible tone warning is so quiet that my dogs don't seem to notice it. Second, is that as soon as you hear the tone, it starts shocking. I wish there was a 10 foot or more buffer, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Other than that it fits well and is effective enough for our border collie. I would not recommend this for the tone only setting as it appears useless.sa_turkey

This collar works great. It took about 10 mins for for two mini aussies to figure out bark and spray. Its been a year and the battery still works. Now, i just put the collar on, and don't even turn on the device, and i get the same results, no barking from the dogs. My question is, do you turn the device off? I got this collar for my 130 lb Anatolian. While it works beautifully for while I'm not at home the battery has only lasted a week. No I don't have it on him all the time and I shut it off when it's not on him. I now have to drive 30 miles to my nearest store to get replacement batteries. Big hassle. Love these batteries for my Old English Sheepdog . They last long and it works well with my ICT 700 Series Fence, I ordered a battery last year (different brand) and it had a short life period, and that specific battery was barely a week old, my dog is pretty much trained on the fence and he knows his bounderies but I still feel more at ease if he has a collar on with a good working battery in it > Ya never know for he is a male and I live out in the Country, but if there is a dog in heat somewhere I just have a feeling Logan would risk it all and try to go where the action is !!
