I got one of these for each of my dogs, along with matching leashes. I was really excited for them but not in love once they finally arrived. Partially my fault – when I saw reviews mentioning the new neck clip, I thought that meant they had added it to every color, not just the new bright yellow. Unfortunately I don't like that color, and the lack of a neck clip on the ones I got is REALLY annoying. It's just too much effort to loosen and tighten the neck multiple times a day when I want to walk my dogs. For now I'm only using it on the dog that pulls more on walks, or when they both need to ride in the car, and I'm looking for a replacement for the meantime. If they add neck clips to the other colors I'd definitely repurchase though. The other small but annoying issue is that the fabric "wings" of the harness aren't attached to the straps if that makes sense – it's only sewn together in the center. That means that despite how soft and comfy the material it is, it tends to slip out from underneath the straps while my dog walks. I can easily fix this with a few stitches but I feel like it shouldn't be necessary. The good parts: the fabric is really soft and smooth and lightly padded so it seems very comfy, and the colors are great.Molly C.
I recently purchased small harness in blush. This was for my 16lb Shiba. The harness is soft, and it sturdy quick-release buckles and straps. The build of the harness is quality, and the overall fit and color looks nice on my dog. The harness fits mostly well, but I cannot tighten the neck area down enough. Her neck is a little more than 12 inches, so I thought the Small would tighten enough for that. Also, tightening the neck strap all the way allows me to put it on and over her head easily, but taking it back off of her head is quite difficult. She pulls and struggles to get out. So I have to loosen it every time I take it off. Which is for the four times a day that I take her on walks. TLDR- for the build and overall quality, it is worth the price. However, if you have to take it on and off your dog multiple times a day, it may become a little frustrating. Easy to get on, hard to get off. I wish the neck straps also had quick release buckles.
I realllllly wanted to love the Wild Ones walk kit I got. I like my leash, albeit a little heavy and I love the poop bags – they're luxurious to the touch but feel substantial when picking up messes. also the bag holder is luxe too and very sturdy. The harness is so cute on my little 10 lb maltese mutt puppy but unfortunately, he absolutely hates the neck part sliding over his face. he has a meltdown and is aggravated every time. some of the newer Wild One colors have the feature where the neck buckles similarly to the chest part (this came out after I ordered mine) but honestly, it should just be standard across all the colors. Maybe that's the plan after they sell out of inventory, but until that is the case, I won't be replacing the harness when my pup grows out of the XS. The material the leash is made of has started to tear in multiple spots a little over a year after owning it. Very concerned because I’m not sure if theres any other material in the leash that will hold it together if it completely tears. No serious use, only used it for walks around the block starting roughly 15 months ago. Warranty is only good for a year though so it’s bound to happen and isn’t covered. Not to mention the whole set of leash, harness, and collar are pretty cheap feeling. The paint on all the metal pieces has chipped off and looks awful and they’re much harder to clean than they look.
***WARNING***I love this leash, I have one in nearly every color. Its easy on the hands with a pulling dog, durable, easy to clean and very modern and stylish. It always gets compliments when we are out and about. There is however, a major major flaw that nearly cost my dogs life! The problem lies with the clasp. Its easy to clip on easy to clip off which is great, but I sadly discovered if the clasp twists at a certain angle it presses against my dog or her harness and unclips. The first time this happened we were at the vet in the vet office and she was suddenly loose from her leash and running around. I thought that was strange but I thought they just put the clasp on funny. The second time was horrific. We were walking my dog on a moderately busy street near my house. I stopped to pick up her poop and suddenly I felt a release of pressure, look up and see my Frenchie running into the street! The clasp had turned and pressed against her harness and unhooked. Thankfully there were no cars in the street at the time and I was able to get her back on to the sidewalk and secured but I think I had a literal heart attack. That could have turned out so badly, she could have run away (she is super fast) or probably been killed by a car! Now I have no trust that the clasp is safe. I love this leash like I said, so I attached a separate carabiner that locks to use instead of the clasp. The design of the clasp really needs to be redone. Something more secure like a locking mechanism must be implemented before someone else's dog runs off and gets hit by a car or something terrible.Caleah
I have many thoughts on this leash. First and foremost: cute and mostly functional leash, NOT worth more than $20. I got this on a sale and even at the sale price I considered returning it. It’s an adorable leash, and I’ve actually figured how to use it best for me and my dog, but this leash is definitely not for dogs who don’t walk well. I think they would snap it right in half if they’re big enough. I was excited about the multiple lengths option, but I’m finding that the long length is just too long to ever use, but the short length is too short to use in anything but a heel walk. It turned out to be the perfect size for me that I can slide it over my shoulder cross body style and it gives my dog just enough leash for a nice walk, but it’s definitely not meant to do that because I think only someone my height could utilize that (5’ 5”). Overall I don’t think my problem is with the leash itself, but with the price point. This is not a $60 leash. No frills, just solid construction; this is the harness I recommend when people ask. It is the very best thought out design I've seen on a harness: the dog doesn't need to step through anything; the back clip-in point is oriented to distribute the force of a pulling dog throughout the harness (which minimizes pressure points when your dog who's bred to sled is pulling you to your destination); and there's a front clip in point when you want to minimize pulling tendencies. Super burly and durable, while being comfortable and breathable. One of my dogs has put thousands of miles on his with no damage or fraying at all – incredible. I love these harnesses so much. Not only is the quality great, but I love that the clips are not metal. My dog is very sensitive to this sound and would tense up in fear when I’d put his old harness on from the sound of the metal clips clinking together. He had no reaction except excitement when I put this one on him. I do love the color, but I just wish there was a true red to match the maple collar (which is the one he wears). I have two of these harnesses because I bought the smallest one for my miniature dachshund when these originally launched. My wife and I both love the harness. Our dog is a rescue and we got him at 2YO, and VERY afraid so it has always been a challenge to touch him from day one. We've always had issues with bulky harnesses or, as we realized later, uncompfortable ones for him. We were kind of afraid using this one because it seemed a little bit bulky but after only 2 walks, we can see that it very light and he's feeling comfortable with it as he played and ran a lot. Also, I know for some it's not good to hear that there was an issue with the order, but realistically it can happen in any company and the main point here is that they SOLVED IT FAST AND WITH GREAT ATTENTION to what we, as customers, needed. We received a different color than ordered and within 24hs we already had a second one shipped. I wanted to love the Wild One pet carrier, aesthetically it looks so well designed. Unfortunately, in use, it’s just not as great as I wanted it to be. My dog is 11 lbs and I used this carrier for the first time on an international trip just 3 weeks ago. Using this pet carrier while connected to / on top of my suitcase before checking luggage was fine. Problems arose when using the pet carrier independently of other luggage. Due to the zipper along the top of the carrier, the shoulder strap is attached off center which tipped my dog either into or away from my body while carrying him. It would have been a lot easier if the strap kept the carrier centered so my dog didn’t easily sway / tip back and forth with every step. I live in a small apartment so I really liked that the carrier was collapsible for storage but it was also easily collapsible with my dog in it while traveling. The side zippers that hold the shape of the carrier easily unzipped and my dog nearly slid out on to the floor at the airport. The snap on the end of the zipper pull is just not enough to secure the zipper from unzipping, a carabiner or ring through the zipper pull may be more effective. This was point where I knew I had to write a review – I purchased this carrier to give me peace of mind that my beloved dog was contained and safe for travel but an unzipping compartment that my dog very nearly slid right out of is not easier nor safer. After TSA I ended up carrying my dog, carrying the pet carrier and carrying my carry on – my confidence that my dog was safe in the Wild One pet carrier was gone. Upon return from my trip I left the carrier with a luggage repair service to get some feedback about fixes to make this carrier safe and secure for my dog. I didn’t have a much to expect when I placed the order, thought for sure I would be returning this. But this is beyond beautiful and comfortable to use! The green color is so pretty and less likely to get dirty and not as boring as black. My pet is 7 pounds, she can’t stand up when the zipper is closed but lying down she still got a lot of space. The bag is super functional and the material is a bit stretchy like a wet suit material but super durable and great quality. I bought tons of carrier over the years including designer names like LV Prada. None would cover many features like this bag. It has zippers at every corner so you can assemble those in whatever way you want. You can leave the mash open or covered it with the inner liner. You can put The bag through your luggage handle, put your personal items in any of the pockets ( it has plenty pockets everywhere ) meet the only two carry on items standard for most airliners, so you don’t have to use the luggage claim area at all. This item came in in monogrammed shipping box with free gifts wrapped nicely like it’s from a luxury retailer. The only complaint I have are all the zippers, they can slip down when they are not pinned together, I wish there are less zippers as all I need is one side to be open. I suggest the seller to sell this on Amazon because there is no any other carriers like this one in the market, in terms of design,functionality and quality. trust me, I bought them all! One point I was going to design one myself. Please add A plastic pad/shield for the airplane floor, this bag will last much longer. And please have more color choices. I bought this carrier in December. Given the price, it was a significant investment and I expected to use the carrier for a long time. By May, my 11lb dog had figured out how to escape from the carrier. I saw a few other reviews stating this, and I assumed it was just a minor design flaw that they had fixed (because 2 of the zippers snap together). I was wrong- my dog manages to escape by bending the flimsy wiring on the carrier. I cannot even travel with him in it anymore, because now he knows he can escape. My previously silent, well-behaved and well-traveled dog works himself into a frenzy trying to escape from the carrier now that he knows he can. This had made my last times traveling with him a nightmare, and I can not use this carrier any longer. I contacted customer service about this and spoke to Katie. Rather than offering me any sort of compensation at all, they just told me my dog was smart and that was my problem. So now I'm out $125 and need to buy a new carrier. I have two pugs and their sizing for harnesses can be more difficult due to the way they are built body wise. I have a female about 20-25 lbs and a male 30-34 lbs . The female size I picked was L and works and the male was XL. The harnesses are gorgeous ( I bought 6-3 for each dog) and fit well due to the ability to adjust . They are very well made and better to hand wash and line dry or was on a gentle cycle to prolong their quality and of course style!! These are very unique, trendy, and fashionable . There’s no denying it. My little Joey (four pounds of adorable Maltese) ❤S his dinky American River Step In Harness and it shows when we walk. I got the dark purple and they are beautiful. I have two Crocker Spaniels. Both girls have a wide chest but a short back so they can be difficult to get things to fit correctly. These work great if you need a little room to play with the size because the top closes with velcro and then a clasp. If you're dog pulls these feel really solid. Overall they are well put together and the colors are eye catching. When I take both girls to the dog park in their matching harnesses I always get asked about where I got them and what colors do they have!!
I have 4 of these harnesses from a few years ago and loved them. I decided to order 2 more… Unfortunately the new ones all gape at the neck terribly! Even pulling it back more so it’s flat on the neck first doesn’t work as it won’t close the Velcro and then the arm holes rub under the armpits. I realized they changed the arm holes slightly (by overlaying it onto my old ones) and it’s thrown off the whole pattern. They are now useless. So Disappointing since all else is perfect- quality, price, patterns. Try the “Wrap & Snap” instead, it fits great and is nice for summer as there’s no extra fabric on the back.Dog Mom

The material the leash is made of has started to tear in multiple spots a little over a year after owning it. Very concerned because I’m not sure if theres any other material in the leash that will hold it together if it completely tears. No serious use, only used it for walks around the block starting roughly 15 months ago. Warranty is only good for a year though so it’s bound to happen and isn’t covered. Not to mention the whole set of leash, harness, and collar are pretty cheap feeling. The paint on all the metal pieces has chipped off and looks awful and they’re much harder to clean than they look.
***WARNING***I love this leash, I have one in nearly every color. Its easy on the hands with a pulling dog, durable, easy to clean and very modern and stylish. It always gets compliments when we are out and about. There is however, a major major flaw that nearly cost my dogs life! The problem lies with the clasp. Its easy to clip on easy to clip off which is great, but I sadly discovered if the clasp twists at a certain angle it presses against my dog or her harness and unclips. The first time this happened we were at the vet in the vet office and she was suddenly loose from her leash and running around. I thought that was strange but I thought they just put the clasp on funny. The second time was horrific. We were walking my dog on a moderately busy street near my house. I stopped to pick up her poop and suddenly I felt a release of pressure, look up and see my Frenchie running into the street! The clasp had turned and pressed against her harness and unhooked. Thankfully there were no cars in the street at the time and I was able to get her back on to the sidewalk and secured but I think I had a literal heart attack. That could have turned out so badly, she could have run away (she is super fast) or probably been killed by a car! Now I have no trust that the clasp is safe. I love this leash like I said, so I attached a separate carabiner that locks to use instead of the clasp. The design of the clasp really needs to be redone. Something more secure like a locking mechanism must be implemented before someone else's dog runs off and gets hit by a car or something terrible.Caleah
I have many thoughts on this leash. First and foremost: cute and mostly functional leash, NOT worth more than $20. I got this on a sale and even at the sale price I considered returning it. It’s an adorable leash, and I’ve actually figured how to use it best for me and my dog, but this leash is definitely not for dogs who don’t walk well. I think they would snap it right in half if they’re big enough. I was excited about the multiple lengths option, but I’m finding that the long length is just too long to ever use, but the short length is too short to use in anything but a heel walk. It turned out to be the perfect size for me that I can slide it over my shoulder cross body style and it gives my dog just enough leash for a nice walk, but it’s definitely not meant to do that because I think only someone my height could utilize that (5’ 5”). Overall I don’t think my problem is with the leash itself, but with the price point. This is not a $60 leash. I wanted it to be so badly because it’s so cute, but I think if you’re spending that on a dog leash you have to absolutely love everything about itAugust39
