I agree that my dog, a lab hates the flavor and was seeking out the pill and spitting it out until I tried baby food turkey and chicken in the little jars. I use a baby spoon and bury the pill in the meat. She gobbles it up and does even notice even the pill. We do it on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. My 12 year old Shiba Inu had 850 liver enzymes. That's so bad and I was so stressed. She has been on this stuff for over 1 year and now her enzymes are about 420. I read some other reviews on how people are getting their dog to take the pill and I laughed because it's what I do also! Cocker has “dry eyes and prescribed steroids and cyclosporine twice daily each eye. Suspect his extremely elevated liver enzymes may be due to long term steroid use or could just be his age. Haven’t tested for Cushing’s but sonograms reveal no tumors on liver or pituitary glands. He was lethargic and never feeling well until his doctor advised trying the Denamarin. His Opthalmologist concurred it was a great idea. Haven’t yet tested his liver enzymes again to see if the numbers have improved (hasn’t been on them quite a full month) but I’ve reordered and will receive the pills monthly. Bottom line: he’s a lot more energetic, playing with his toys again, not sleeping all the time, just overall feeling so much better. He’s acting normal again—normal for an 11-plus year-old Cocker. Did a lot of research before giving him the Denamarin and felt they were safe, and most people had positive results using it. Only drawback would be that the pills for large dogs are really big. You’re supposed to administer 1 hr before or 2 hrs after a meal, which I do with a little piece of boiled chicken breast to hide it and help it go down, and it goes down without a problem. Can’t imagine any dog of any size being able to swallow a pill that size without an owner hiding it in a little chunk of something, cheese, pill pocket, treat. Anything to help it go down easier. And helps if they drink a little water. Can’t wait to have his liver enzymes tested again. I’m confident they will have improved. Side note: when one’s liver is not working properly, urine can have an odd and strong odor, which his did. Standing several feet away, I knew something wasn’t right. That too has resolved which makes me believe his liver is on the mend.Yvonne

The media could not be loaded. With four cats in the home, this isn't my first rodeo when it comes to fountains. My cats drink a LOT more when the water is constantly running, so years back I invested in a large stainless steel fountain set up close to the $100 range. We have well water, which means that many fountains with the cute little "fountain effect" – streaming little rivers from the top – clog easily. I was always cleaning that darn thing. But more annoying? So many pieces when it came time to clean, and multiple consumable parts required for the filter setup. Enter this little fountain. Combination of plastic and stainless steel. I wasn't entirely sold on the idea of plastic, but with a setup like this – where most of the water is not visible from the top – it is nice to be able to keep an eye on the water level. I'm coming around to it, I like that the top part is stainless steel. The deeper "tank' setup versus the big open designs where all the water is exposed constantly means that less dust/debris/etc ends up in the water. I think this design is superior after seeing both in action. This fountain is SILENT and NO SPLASHING/DRIPS! This is huge! Fountains with the sound of running water tend to be soothing for a few weeks and then they are just not. Particularly depending on where you want to put fresh water for your feline friend. Because there is no splashing water and thus no potential drippage, I feel comfortable putting this in the hallway corner straight on the wood floor. Just as awesome? No consumable filters with this set up. It is a three tier divided container with a super simple little turning plastic gear in the bottom that keeps it going. SO easy to take apart and SO easy to clean. If you need your water filtered due to taste then this probably isn't the unit for you, but if you are looking for easy/free maintenance give it a try! Picture included with a cat to give idea on size scale. From a daily use perspective I have two cats that drink from it every day (it is not their only source of water though) and I have to add water once a week. Only note? Don't overfill above the max water line. I did, during initial setup, and the fountain wouldn't turn on. I dumped some water back out and it still wouldn't. I unplugged/plugged it back in, and then it started up. Keep that in mind just in case you, like me, have trouble following directions!
***Update 10/28/2022*** Revising my initial review (below). Eufy customer service reached out after my initial review. They sent me a replacement unit as the first unit I received appeared to be used. Everything works great and the unit is incredibly easy to maintain and use. The "pump" mechanism is a vast improvement to most pet water fountains. Instead of a pump that sits in the bottom of the water reservoir and gets gummed up with whatever schmoo ends up floating around in the tank, this unit uses a magnet driven impeller that is easy to remove and clean. The actual motor that drives the impeller is completely separate from the water tank and can't get all gummed up. All the parts fit together neatly and the unit makes practically no noise. My only gripe is that it doesn't come with the USB wall "brick" that plugs into your outlets. Luckily we have several outlets with built in USB ports. Seems like an easy/cheap fix that would address most of the negative reviews I've seen on Amazon. ***Initial Review 10/10/2022*** Just received this and it appears to be used. There are water stains on the top metal piece and the filter looks dirty and has hairs on it.
We've been thru a LOT of water fountains. Dozens. They are either too loud, too difficult to clean, never stay clean, break after a few months, filters are too expensive, too tall for my Munchkin, or the cats just don't like them. It was easy to set up and I was instantly impressed with how much water it could hold and how easy it is to see the water level. I can see it clear across the room! With most of the others, you either can't see at all, or it has a tiny window you have to stand in front of and bend down to check. So far I was impressed but then it was up to the cats. My little one is obsessed with water fountains and ran right up to it as soon as the water started coming out of the spout. She was a little apprehensive at first, but then gave it a try, and she loves it. Then one day and I was in the living room and heard her meowing, which she doesn't do often, and I came in and she was crying because her big sister was using her fountain! They generally share nothing. Don't sleep in the same spots, won't eat from the same dish, but I guess this fountain is so good, that they are learning to share. Sometimes I find my little one camped out in front of it and her big sister waiting nearby, wanting a turn. I've been using it a solid month now, and I'm very impressed. The crate had obviously been used and returned. The metal was rusted in places and the plastic bottom tray was dirty. When I decided to return it, It was a challenge to get it back in the box. When I took it back to the store, I asked about a discount and received 15% off (the tax). I had previously bought one that was marked down by 50% because the box was damaged. I've owned dogs for the last 40 years. I've used MidWest wire crates for my last 4 dogs. This iCrate didn't disappoint. It's sturdy and and easy to put up and take down. I use them when I travel with my dogs too. My dogs only use their crates for sleeping in at night or napping in during the day. During the day, their crate doors are left open. I close the dogs in at night. I don't have an issue with my dogs trying to escape from their crates, so I can't speak to whether or not this would be sturdy enough for a dog that's determined to get out of their crate. These crates are more than sturdy enough for my miniature Schnauzer, Havanese, and Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. All three of my dogs love their MidWest iCrates, as did my previous dog! They go in them voluntarily and when told to "crate up". My only concern with the current crate I ordered is that that one of the latches isn't lined up quite right so it's a bit tight when closing the crate door. I bent it slightly and it works much better. I haven't had that issue with any of the previous MidWest crates I've used. I'm a MidWest crate fan.Eddie09
We bought this in April 2022 for our Rhodesian Ridgeback mix puppy. He was weeks old when we rescued him. He was a Parvo pup and barely survived, so rest and his own quiet space was highly recommended for recovery. We first used the divider which was great. However, as he grew, so did his strength. It definitely is not strong enough for large dogs. Even for short amounts of time. At the moment he is 6 months and 60 pounds. Thankfully he did not get out nor hurt himself! Some dogs just don't quite fit into the size charts in the way other dogs do. Our dog Angel, a mountain cur, is one of those dogs. Weight wise, Angel is comfortably in the medium category but she's tall and lanky so she always had to hunch over in her medium crate. This larger crate is a perfect height for the needed room. We bought this product mostly because of the vertical lift feature of the door hinge and the two-door access options which is great for all sorts of configurations (against different walls, corners etc). We like the size and customizable interior of the XL crate for our growing puppy (husky/shepard mix). This is definitely an at home crate vs. care crate. The only issue we have is that compared to our first crate (same company, large single door, 2 locks) is that this crate is very rattly. We crate our dog during sleeping hours and every time he kicks in his sleep or adjusts, it makes a clangy metallic sound that wasn't expected. I bought this shelter for outside cats. I love it! It is esthetic and it was very easy to put together. The size is nice enough for any type of cats. The steps were not very easy to install as the crews were not the right size, too small. I wish it had a protection on the roof in case of heavy rain and snow. The door is large enough for big cats. Interior need to be insolated from the cold (the walls are very thin) and it needs a blanket. I would recommend this shelter for a moderate weather area. This was a life saver. My pug is 15 and needs help getting up and down from couch. It has 3 positions so it is not steep for an older dog to use. It is ready to use right out of the box. Looks like a nice piece of furniture. It is not to long and can be used in the smallest spaces. The carpet like material on the ramp, also has slip resistant material on it (like what is on the bottom of socks). The dogs love it and it does not bother their feet. When going down the ramp, they can go as slow as needed and not slide down. I highly recommend this product. It will not work with really high beds or trucks unless you add to it. But it is perfect for anything else including cars (if needed) It is very light and easy to move around. It is very sturdy and does not move when dogs are using it. Even my younger dog loves it and she is scared of everything. The first day we got it we used treats to get them to use it. I only took a few minutes and they loved it. We had foam stairs before this but my older dog was still having issues using it. Because of the material of the stairs, when going down, it would force her to go fast and slide. This does not do that and allows them to go as slow as possible (I know I repeated this but it truly makes a difference for an older or injured dog/cat.)Nic

The stroller required some very minor assembly. The wheels had to be attached to the stroller, but quickly and easily snapped into place. Once the wheels were attached, all that was left to do was to unfold the stroller and to secure the part where the pet(s) would be riding. That was done by pulling the flap that runs along the front and sides of the stroller over the bar and snapping it into place. The drink holder, which attaches to the handle, also just snaps into place. The small "basket" on the bottom also has a flap that has to be pulled over a bar and snapped into place. That's all the assembly the stroller required. There was no need for any kind of tool. Two of my cats tooks turns in the stroller and were both able to sit and lay down in it without being cramped and both looked really comfortable in it. Sitting up, they could probably both sit side by side comfortably in the stroller. One cat is approx. 11 lbs and the other is approx. 16 lbs. The stroller handles easily on hardwood, but is slightly more challenging on carpet. Going around corners and turning around was fairly easy. Lastly, the color is a slightly darker purple / lavendar than it appears in the picture. I don't know how well it works outside or when it's been exposed to the elements, since it only just arrived a little while ago, but it seems sturdy enough at the time of this review. Sorry not a review but a question. Sounds like this works well but I have a horrible time keeping my Shepard from licking his wounds. Ok, so I have a large breed dog in his senior years. I have raised him (from 9 weeks) on a large breed, good quality food. If you have a large breed dog, you know what that means. Per Vet recommendations, I have been supplementing his food and other meds with Free Form Snip Tips. They are VERY easy to use and give him the extra support he needs for his old joints. I was using the bite-sized chewable Omega 3 supplement "treats", and found that I hated to handle them. they would crumble when touched and it was a bit of a mess giving them to all three dogs. Then, I discovered the snap-tip capsule form and I think it's way better. The dog's coats really shine and there's no more chronic itching by my 13-year old girl. The capsules do smell strongly of fish oil and I have to handle them with rubber gloves on, because if I don't I have to scrub the smell off my fingers (sometimes twice) with a nail brush before it comes off. Very piercing fish smell! But, these caps really work, and the dogs love the taste of the oil in their food. I will stick with the caps from now on.rosie64
A veterinary orthopedist recommended this product for our dogs, and we really do believe it's helped with their joints, and over-all well being. I started them out on the capsules, but they got to where they wouldn't eat them. I find the "snips" too difficult to remove, and messy. We went to the liquid, and I just add two pumps to their food in the mornings. This works well, but my only complaint is that the liquid only comes in a 4 oz. size. This kennel is strong. The tie-down holes, one per corner, go through both the top half and the bottom half of the kennel, which is an excellent improvement over no tie down holes. Another improvement over the old version is that water cannot collect on top since there are no bowl-like indentations on the top. The door is heavy construction, and can be mounted as Left or Right swing. I put the kennel on the passenger's side of the vehicle so that I can use the empty space behind the driver for carrying a jug of water, leashes, and other stuff. The advertised length is 40", but be aware that the usable length or "inside" length is 33". This is adequate if your dog is 33" or less from the top of the tail to the end of his front nails, while lying in the "sphinx" position. ONE CON: There are no drainage holes in the bottom half. I plan to drill my own (well, get the hubby to do it). A suggestion for the manufacturer: Make a Truck Version of the kennel. It would be the same as this except for two changes: (1) Add drain holes, and (2) Make the top rear panel (opposite the door) from transparent acrylic, so the driver can see through it. This would be a safety feature, as the blind spot would be reduced.Karen

I needed a carrier for my grandsons' kitten. I also needed a place for her to sleep. I had looked (on-line) at several "pet," stores that had the same product. But they were 30 miles away, and you had to purchase in store! I purchased this one on-line with next day delivery. Even with tax, shipping, and handling it was CHEAPER than the same one, which was at a store 30 miles away. ONE WORD OF CAUTION. The back of the carrier snaps together. It has 2 tiny matching holes on the top and bottom. It would be great if they supplied a fastener. BUT IT CAN EASILY BE MADE STURDY AND SECURE FOR PET SAFETY – WITHOUT FEAR OF COMING APART. (Especially if the pet is rambunctious!) I used small zip ties – very inexpensive, that I already had. I trimmed the ends after putting them on the back sides. The door in the front is secured at top – 2 and bottom – 2. Plus you can open it from either right side or left. It has plenty of openings at the top of the carrier for air to circulate. I definitely would recommend this product. "Alice," the kitten loves it. I leave the door open, and she goes in there during the day and sleeps on her towel. It's light weight, attractive, easy to carry, easy to assemble, and definitely easy to clean. Even with the lack of the 2 back fasteners, I still give it 5 stars. Great sturdy carrier,bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside. Sturdily made plastic. I use it to carry for my 9 lbs cat and it can support his weight very well ,even though it could have had a luggage style handle for more comfort holding it than the recessed one it has but no biggie. Also even thought it is sturdy and pieces fit well together I would recommend you tie up some zipper cable ties on key areas where the two halves meet and close to where the gray little pieces go, to avoid the unions popping open and falling apart,just in case it stresses from the weight of the pet, that should give more reinforcement to the structure and peace of mind, not that it will happen but it could as other customers have stated. The carrier is not really that tall and long so my cat cannot stand full height or stretch full length, it is comfortable enough for him to be in on short trips or for a shorter cat (mine is very long and tall,almost 19 inches long head to base of tail).. The door is a little tricky to use since it doesn't have a hinge but you will get the hang of it, and if you just open it from one of the top knobs and leave the other closed it can even be used as a swinging door. The instructions were simple and the the assembly was quick. The sides of the steps and the actual tread area that's walked on was more of a pressboard material that you would not want to get wet, causing it to swell and weaken. I helped my construction by using Gorilla Glue along the areas that were fastened by the screws. I was not so certain that the screws themselves would have stayed in place under continuous use and would likely have vibrated out. Overall, I'm satisfied. I was very upset when the package arrived & I discovered that it consisted of 6 little pieces of very light weight wood, a cover and a bag of screws. Nowhere in the description had it mentioned assembly required. The only reason these steps are working for me is because my puppy only weighs 4 lbs. These steps are extremely small and lightweight. On the positive side, the steps are sturdy enough to hold a 30 lb. toddler.Porchpuppy

My labrador has always been on Cosequins since his elbow surgery when he was 5 months old. He is now 9. He started to go lame frequently this year which we knew would happen at some point. We have changed to Flexadin as an experiment suggested by our vet. Within a month the lameness has been far less frequent. Coincidence maybe but it is the only thing we have changed so let's hope it continues. Maybe worth trying if you have a dog with joint problems. Good luck!Fiona R
When I read "chewable" I thought "not this dog" but I am amazed to say that he does actually have to chew it as opposed to gulping it down. He's only been on the tablets for less than a month but already he's walking better. People who don't see him every day really notice the difference and Flexadin is the only new thing in his diet.
