The product works great, however read this carefully to determine the quantity to order, the website is misleading. The manufacturer sells the product in 1 gram (small dog), 2 gram (medium dog), and 4 gram (large dog) sizes. Each package contains 3 packets to be given over 3 days. In order to get the correct amount for your dog's weight, you may need to order more than one package. According to the manufacturers instructions, you need to administer one gram of product (daily) for every ten pounds of animal weight. So, up to: 10 lbs = 1 gram; 20 lbs = 2 grams; 30 lbs = 3 grams; 40 lbs = 4 grams; 50 lbs = 5 grams; 60 lbs = 6 grams, etc. So, if your dog weighs 11 to 20 lbs, you need to order a 2 gram (medium dog) size and give him 1 packet per day for 3 days. But if your dog weighs 21-30 lbs, you need to order a 1 gram (small dog) AND a 2 gram (medium dog) package, and give your dog a packet from each size for 3 days. A puppy was pretty much dropped in my lap several days ago, her belly was SO bloated as she hadn't had any vet care prior. Before even getting her home I pondered the wormers at our local Petco, selected this one. On day 3 the worms came out, though her poor bloated belly was reduced after the first day. Will use this again if worming can't wait for the vet. Due to her weight we did have to weigh out the medicine (half a gram ='s 1/4 teaspoon), and you must have an accurate weight on the dog and an accurate measuring device for it to be as effective as it can be without giving too much. during the late fall to the end of winter I give these to my dogs to prevent worms. Then early spring I switch over to Heartguard. You get three packs. I use two packs per dog per month. Each pack 40 pounds. Total 80 pound dog. Sprinkle in with a quarter cup of warm broth, stir well. pour over their dry food and blend in. They won't notice and eat their food. Sneaky but, it works. Saves me tons of money. I have two large dogs and Heart-guard can be very expensive every month so I subsitute during the cool to cold months. You save and your dogs stay healthy from worms. I've tried the Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Antiseptic and Anti fungal Spray for Dogs and Cats on a few of our outside cats. They've been deflead but one still kept scratching and losing fur just above her tail. I'm not sure if it's an allergic reaction to the fleas or if it's the result of a thyroid problem. But we tried this spray and the itching stopped immediately. It's been almost 3 weeks and she still isn't scratching it. I also wanted to try this on some ringworm that a few of the outside cats have. I've been spraying this on for almost 3 weeks now but haven't really seen any improvement with the ringworm spots that I'm treating. Ringworm can respond slow to treatments anyway so I'm not sure if this is going to help with that or not. The spray is a pump and it has a light citrus smell, kind of like oranges. It will not harm your pet if they lick it. It didn't list a minimum age that you can use it on. It contains Chlorhexidine Gluconate, Keratin, and Aloe Vera. It's listed as an antifungal, antimicrobial, and antibacterial. To use this you just spray the area tell really wet, twice daily for a week, then once daily for another week. I read the reviews for this product but was still a bit skeptical for it to actually work. One of my cats (2 yr old orange tabby) literally scratched the size of a 50 cent bare spot (literally overnight) in center of his back below shoulder blade. By the end of the day the circle was warm red inflamed and gross. Being on a tight budget I did my research for home remedies. First I began applying a year old vet prescribed Dermalone antibiotic that was prescribed for one of my other cats for 3 days but area got worse. Then began applying Neosporin for 2 days lightly on and around scab now and ( luckily the spot was where he could not reach to lick off) and it did nothing as well. A week later purchased this product, followed the directions and a week later the area was completed healed. Scab dried and fell off and new skin looks perfect and normal. Unfortunately I dont know what this was for did not take him to a vet. Infected area did resemble pictures of ringworm online. My avid little mouser cat caught herself a little prize just a few days before a month-prior planned trip my husband and i were unavoidably about to go to. Apparently that mouse had bitten her back in the process, right on her tender little lip cleft! Before we knew it, that bite had gotten infected so bad she became lethargic, her face swollen an angry shade of red, she could not eat or even drink on her own and she could not even close her mouth and was drooling on herself. Because of the covid situation and proximity of timing to our trip to see family, there was no way to get her to a vet in time before we had to leave in 3-4 days. So we did the best we could with a dropper to feed and water her and rushed out to get Vetericyn to help stave off the infection which reduced the angry redness to a healthier pinkish. For the very few days we had before we had to go, I was keeping her hydrated and was spraying her face with the Vetericyn regularly (as directed) even as we headed out the door with one last treatment. We did cut our weekend trip short by a day out of concern for her, but when we came back she was doing significantly better in that the swelling was down, but was reddened again. Back to the spray treatment, make sure she got dropper-watered, and by that evening she was gingerly back to parking in her 'askance' spot hoping for bits of our chicken dinner! Using this for hot spots on my canine, this stuff does work but it sometimes can take up to 2 8oz. Bottles to heal the area's treated. Not sure if it's the strength of medicine or just those stubborn spots. I caught the spots early on and started treating them immediately and have been treating them for a month now and they are getting better but slowly, these things are stubborn. I can say that absolutely nothing else I tried worked. Believe it or not, I read online the other day that rubbing Pepto Bismol on hot spots actually works, you heard right, Pepto Bismol. I haven't had the nerve to try it as I thought it could just be some nut trying to infect your pet even worse. Apoquel has done wonders for my German Shepherd who recently developed seasonal allergies at six years old. He was scratching and biting at himself 24/7 and he caused an infection on his foot from the constant licking. I am a vet assistant, and I see all kinds of animals coming in with different skin conditions or allergies and always felt so bad for them and their owners….. then I got a dog with allergies and then I found out what it's really like…. it is devastating watching your dog itch and scratch to the point of pulling their hair out, then when the hair is gone… then there goes their skin…. they will make themselves bleed and still won't stop. I tried benadryl I tried EVERYTHING, had to even do skin antibiotics and steroid Injections and still he was itching…. so… the dr tried him on this….. now… first thing I will say is this medication isn't cheap especially for bigger dogs (if you have a 10lbs dog it's not going to be too bad) but my poor dog had to start off taking 2 16mg 2 times a day and it was roughly 300 for the first month, however from there you taper down and after a few months I got him down to half a tablet once daily…. anyway…. this medication worked like a dream for him. He hasn't had any issues for over a year now and although sometimes he scratches its more of a normal itch. This medication literally saved him and my sanity. I have used Happy Jack 40+ years but after moving off the farm 15 years ago forgot all about it and began using holistic medications, etc. Well, I do rescue and got a little jack russell with 70% of her body scarlet, oozie red, infected red ears, thick red, hairless legs, tail, chest and face. She had been ill for so long her skin was very thick and discolored. I spent hundred of dollars for 4 months without results then ran across Happy Jack again in the Tractor Supply. I bought mange medicine instead of the dip I had used before and, within 32 (I counted them) hours, her itching has stopped, her skin is now pink not red and her little swollen paws and now a normal size. I will continue to use according to the directions to make sure this is gone but might switch to the dip to treat her in 30 day cycles. My dog was scratching constantly causing hot spots an scratches that bled a little not to mention she had this smell that's was offensive. I tried other products and then I heard of this one from a friend, bought it and brought home and put it in a spray bottle to evenly spray her entire body (except in her ears, eyes, mouth or sanitary areas) and to my surprise I Seen instant relief for her and she was able to sleep peacefully and so was I. Would I recommend this product ? Yes, yes I would.. FYI.. You might want to buy a few bottles because you'll have to make sure your pet is wet and massage it into their skin (use gloves) might want to cover areas where your offer lays until your pet is dry. Leave on your pet for 3 days… You'll notice flakes (scabs) that's normal, wash your pet.. Let them dry completely and repeat the happy Jack mange medication. You'll start to notice the hair growing back. You'll be happy and your pet will be happy an you will have saved alot of $ then you would had you went to a vet. I bought all mange treatments from happy jack… I have a white pit with enlarged paw found out it was NOT yeast like the lying vet said it was…..another vet told me it was cancer? only after years of bull! money sucking vet visits! to find out it was mange attacking the animals for YEARS ! I have a 10-year-old Bichon Frise with a lot of fluffy coat that takes a lot of effort in the shampoo and grooming process. The Vetericyn FoamCare product was very easy to use and provided ample amounts of lather to thoroughly clean my dog. The Vericyn FoamCare easily washed out thoroughly and left my dog's coat smelling clean and fresh. The included conditioner made it very easy for me to complete his grooming. I was very pleased when blow-drying his coat and being able to fluff his hair to give him the traditional Bichon look. My Bichon has sensitivities to many brands of shampoos. The Vetericyn FoamCare was very gentle on his skin and there was no evidence of any irritants or rashes on his skin. We have a cocker spaniel that is a puppy mill rescue. Baths are always a stressful event. Trying to get a product on the dog while keeping ahold of them is almost impossible. This product makes it so much easier to get the product on with one hand and having the shampoo and conditioner in one step is even better. Giving my Samoyed a bath is always a tedious, tiring task. The amount of time is directly related to the amount of hair and she has a lot. With typical shampoos I always ended up over shampooing one area and barely touching others as where the shampoo landed is where it would get well dispersed and other areas were left with the run off because otherwise I'd be bathing her for hours to work in shampoo and rinse it off. With the Vetericyn Foam Care it was easy to apply just the right amount of shampoo all over and easily massage it in for amazing results. My standard poodle suffers from outdoor allergies. After battling them all summer the vet just said to double up on benadryl. I felt like I was drugging my dog. I saw an ad for these chews and thought it would be a better option to at least give it a try. My boy wasn't sure about the taste the first day and I had to wrap it in cheese. The second day, and every day since, he's gobbled it right down just like a treat! To test the results I totally stopped the benadryl and only gave him these chews. He only showed minor symptoms a couple of different occassions in which I went ahead and gave him a single dose of bendryl as needed. But the majority of days were symptom free (his biggest symptom is chewing his paws) and no benadryl needed. What's even better? Wow is right, because I am floored at how well this works! I have 2 pups with horrible allergies – one that nothing else works for. I've tried all different meds, including shots, and she still suffered horribly during allergy season. I reluctantly decided to try this, but we were in the middle of allergy season, and watching her suffer is just too much. Fast forward to July 2019, and my order came in the mail. I gave two of the chewables to my pup the next morning, not expecting much, but just hoping that there would at least be a little relief. Much to my surprise, she didn't scratch AT ALL that day!! Both Paisley and Scarlett couldn't get enough of this ice cream on their 1st birthday, they LOVED it! It was super easy to make mixing just hot water in with it.
