I promptly received the training crate but spent two hours on putting it together. The booklet's instructions were confusing beside the metal crate is not completely sturdy without having some type of snapping connectors to hold all four corners tightly. I was so drained by the time I realized that the four standing legs do not support the metal crate corners. Whatever you do, please do not sit on it, or place any heavy object on top of it. In doing so, you may cause it to collapse hence staring all over again with the assembly. Aside from that, the wood grain is nice as well as the metal product itself. Overall, my Shorkie did not like it at first but he is getting comfortable with it. Then again, it would have been really nicer if the front bottom wood placement slid inside as opposed to pushing it toward the tray. My puppy keeps pushing it away without much effort.Pauline
The most sturdiest thing of the end table dog crate is the crate itself. The wood is very flimsy. When the tables first arrived, the bottom pieces were broken and I had to call customer service to get replacement pieces which took two months to arrive. Since it’s a 3rd part seller you can’t just get a refund and ship back. I would not recommend this to anyone due to the quality and poor 3rd party customer service when you have problems.Krys3875
I did not read Hayneedle's return policy close enough before ordering. My husband put this together a few days ago and we are very disappointed in how flimsy it is. The bottom front panel comes off frequently and it just doesn't feel stable. The "magnets" have no strength to them. We wouldn't feel comfortable having a drink sit on top. When I went online today to submit the return request, I was shocked to see that the return shipping fee would be $43! So much for "satisfaction guarantee." There are plenty of other shopping sites that have a more understanding return policy- no one wants to return and deal with the hassle. We have a Catahoula pup and ordered the 36” soft camo crate. It fits perfectly in our Jeep and is great for travel purposes. I have read reviews on rips and tears but this crate is made very well! Only reason there would be an issue is if the dog is not crate trained/loves to chew and scratch. It did take a bit for our pup to get use to it in the car but once he did it has been the best! Super easy to store away as well.

Ive had this crate for my dog for over a year. Its easy to set up and tear down and light enough for a woman to carry. These soft crates are for crate trained dogs. If you didnt use a crate when training your puppy it will not work for your dog. I have a 56 lb. Goldendoodle. She has plenty of room in the 42 crate and is very comfortable in it. I am THRILLED with my end table/ crate! First, it came within 3 or 4 days of ordering! We ordered it for our boy Rambo because he likes to be to himself once in awhile, especially if he doesn't feel well or is scared. (He's a 15 lb. Pomeranian mix.) Well, we were delighted to find that this was so big and that it was made VERY sturdy with quality wood. It took us about half hour to put together and our boy has taken a liking to it. We didn't put the door on-just left it open. Our boy is a rescue and panics if enclosed in a cage. So with the sides and the back having the spindles and the door not on it, he really enjoys going in it. (He now takes his bones in there to chew on.) So we are very pleased with it overall. These solid wood pet crates are gorgeous and well built! High quality! Deep espresso with a sheen! My 20 year old daughter assembled both in an hour! Great price! My one Yorkie won't come out of this crate -he loves it! Ordered the small and my medium sized Yorkies have plenty of room even with cushions and blankets! Just be ready to make tiny predrilled holes bigger with drill bit little bigger than size of screws or you'll need the Hulk to get screws in! Just be careful not to drill through to other side! I purchased this Newport Pet Crate End Table 2/19/2018. It arrived allot sooner than expected. Easy to put together and it looked just like the web pages pictures. However, the locking latch could've been more sturdy. The wooden bars across the windows were also not as solid as I would've preferred. The first time using it was the evening I received it. It is a thin type of material. The sides and such are put together with plastic screws, not metal. A big minus for me was the bottom for the crate. I am using to created train a puppy, I was hoping it had a pan like the metal crates with sides to catch urine. Instead it is just a flat piece that fits inside, leaving gaps around the edges. I would have given this 5 stars had they had all the colors shown – a pet peeve (like that pun?) of mine. I haven't really used the two beds purchased yet but I have seen similar in stores and this one seems to be of better quality. A bit thicker on the bottom. I didn't measure it like some reviewers but my dogs are 8 lbs. and under so I know they will fit. It is SMALLER than advertised size (not 30×21, maybe 28×19 if I round up), not at all padded except on the outer ring and STINKS something awful. It's more like a bath mat with a ledge around it. First night success! 1st experience: It was the first night we got our pup from our breeder & we were worried that it would be a tough night because the pup was use to being with his brothers and sisters. We introduced the crate that same night and our pup was drawn to it. Everyone slept great! Our pup isn't afraid to go in at all. Few things I notice that this crate does well: 1) noise of the crate is soft when the pup pushes on it rather than the typical crate sound where it creates your pup to be anxious 2) Spacing of the holes are good enough for pup to see and reward it with a treat 3) Got the mint color and it brings such a calming vibe – aesthetically pretty too. Would liked to have: A divider and maybe the top to prop open. Customer service: They're quick with same day replies. A good product The Kindtail Pawd is exactly what I wanted in a crate. I wanted something much prettier than the the wire crate, but also quite simplistic and light weight. Some other good looking crates out there are either super heavy, bulky, or have too many unnecessary features for me. I love that the Pawd is truly portable, but still quite sturdy. I appreciate that all the connecting joints of the crate were smooth and fit perfectly together, without having to force pieces together, which shows me that attention to detail was put into the design and execution. I will say that I only bought the Pawd after my dog became full crate trained, and is no longer trying to chew through and escape her area. I don't actually use it to contain her with the door (which very nicely folds completely out of the way), but only as a nice den for my dog to chill in, so I can't speak to its ability to actually keep a dog inside. Like any other plastic crate, I suspect it would not be able to withstand aggressive chewers. I think the price is reasonable.Dee T.
A miracle! When we rescued our 5-month old pup, we were told she was crate trained, but when we brought her home to a generic metal wire crate she refused to go in it let alone rest or sleep in it. She was particularly sensitive to the sound and it was a constant struggle that felt like punishment for her. We hoped the Pawd we purchased would be more appealing to her, but we never expected what actually happened. Only minutes after unpacking the Pawd and Lounger, she walked into the crate on her own and laid down (see photo). It's a miracle. Our pup now has a cozy place of her own and we couldn't be happier. I would recommend it. It is a nice piece of furniture and can blend into your home. The latch works very nicely. Haven't tried it as a gate yet. It went together very easily. I really wanted a size small, but settled for a medium because we were desperate and our dog likes to see everything, so the openness of it works out well for her. I was disappointed that it came with two small scratches on the wood. The small plastic tabs that cover the screws on the inside of the cage fall off. We had to remove them because the dog would chew them.Donna
This item was delivered as promised. It was packed to protect the cherry finish, however, the were finish imperfections most likely due to poor handling of the product. When putting this item together (an easy process) we discovered that the wrong hardware had been installed at the bottom of one of the sides and the door opening. No excuse for this error and that's why the 1 star rating. We are returning this item which means we have to disassemble the item and box it to ship back to the supplier for a refund. Since this is a pain in the (you know where) the 1 star also reflects this process. One other item was sending pictures to the manufacturer to show the problem with the wrong hardware having been installed. They were very nice and helpful….but it took time to make the calls, send a picture…send emails and so on. In other words, another pain in the( you know where). We very much liked the looks of this item and the finish goes with our furnishings well. But……this is a classic example of ……" not doing it right the first time"…….therefore, I recommend the several companies we dealt with go to Quality Management School……James

This crate is very light weight and great for travel. It pops up quickly and though a little tricky to compress again, is easy to put away. Larger dogs may be able to roll this crate around. It is utilized in our camper for our 90 pound chocolate lab. She fits well enough to lay down and it was not wrecked the first few uses, but she is crate trained. I do however believe the bottom material could've used some more reinforcement as a dog that size wont take much to make an accidental rip. This crate tucks in nicely by the bed. I had to twist the crate to get it to fit, but since it is soft sided, it was easy to do. I have 2 long haired miniature dachshunds, and they both have plenty of room and are really happy to have their blankets and sleeping space. The crate is well made and is perfect for my needs. I looked at a number of options and could not find another crate as narrow as this one. The metal door is easy to close and I was able to flip it so the door opened the direction I needed. The only negative is with the limited space, the opening radius of the door is fairly limited. Both my dogs can easily fit, but depending on the space in your unit, a larger dog might have troubles fitting through the door. (Again, this limitation is based on the narrow width I have available in my unit.) So happy with the purchase-perfect for the trailer. The dogs give it 4 paws up.Dog L.

These are the only crate beds I could find that were the exact right size for my crates AND were very cushy looking. The dogs love them. They're a little thin – our crates are in the garage and I'm afraid maybe the cold from the cement floor is coming up through the bottom. This is a little smaller than our crate, which is fine because it's big for our dog and leaves room for food and water bowls. It's super soft and our dog seems to love. This is smaller than I thought. I must have clicked on the wrong size because it doesn't fit my crate at all. It is very thin and wouldn't support my cats' or kittens' weight, so I'm not real happy with this mat. It could be used as a liner to keep litter off the plastic bottom of the crate, but that's about all.
The mats were the perfect size for the crates. I liked the backing as it helped keep the mats from sliding around in the crates. Unfortunately in less than 24 hours my dogs chewed these mats up. They were able to undo the stitching around the mat and then access the fiberfill interior. I was not thrilled about that. I may repurchase later after my pups outgrow their chewing phase.PyrOwner
When I received it in the mail I was surprised to see how thin it was. I was expecting something a little more plush. The fabric is very soft, however. I have noticed that the material frays a bit and I find brown fuzz on the carpet outside of the crate. My dog seems to like it but when it comes time to buy a new one I'll probably get something a little thicker. I am so very impressed with the quality of the sofa bed by Lazyboy! The fabric has a soft, pleasant feel to it. The shape of the bed is very nice and curves so that it can contour to your pets sleeping position and the padding is lightweight and comfy for my animals when they sleep.I have a mid size puppy and 2 adult cats. They can all fit on it all at once if they wanted to which is great because there will be no fighting over who gets to sleep in the bed. Before we actually let our dog test it out, I didn't really expect it to be this big nor that comfortable where my daughter and mom actually sat on it before the dog did ha ha. The material is super soft it feel like a regular cloudy couch. Kind of like a throw but as a doggy bed. When our dog finally came home she really enjoyed her new bed especially since it's been cold it kept her really warm. She didn't know how to act after she got very comfortable in it. She didn't want to get up from it so that made me very happy that she actually like this bed. Normally she will just smell it, toss it around for a little bit and maybe every now and then sit inside her bed She would just climb on to the couch with us. Beautiful cozy dog bed that’s easy to care for and looks nice in your home. The cover unzips easily, washes quickly in the washing machine and tumble dries fast with no signs of wear. Loved this bed so much I got a second one. Only problem came when we got a new dog that likes to nest and has sharp claws. The cover couldn’t stand up to that and ripped after a while. Once the cover ripped it’s game over because dogs have quick access to the fun stuffing. The dogs loved this bed for over a year but I can’t get another one because of our Pointer’s nesting habit. I will miss it but had to get one with a thicker cover that will hopefully not rip.Teresa
