I bought this puzzle for my 13 week old Staffy Puppy. She had not used a dog puzzle before but I knew the easier level puzzles wouldn't challenge her enough after I had observed her getting through a lot of other mental stimulation toys with ease. On her first use it took her 30 mins to complete it and the time has reduced considerably after each use. After 2 weeks of use she can now complete it in 10 minutes and I really enjoy watching her move all the pieces to get to her favourite treats. This puzzle is fantastic for mental stimulation and it really tires her out. You can also fit an entire meal of dry food in it so it is a great slow feeder and provides me with some time out. I bought this for the time after our pup got spayed, to keep her occupied during recovery. I love that there are no separate parts to get lost or chewed. The material is very durable and has not gotten scratched even though our dog paws at it quite roughly to turn the middle circle around. It took her a while to figure out how to get her kibble out of it but still seems to enjoy it even now that she knows what to do. It also serves as a slow feeder which is a bonus! Excellent puzzle feeder, the middle disc can be easily removed as starting level. Our dog first quite easily figured out how to slide the knobs to reveal treats. When she mastered that, we added the disc back and had to help her a few times and show her how it works till she fully got it as it's much more challenging that way. You can fit quite a bit of dry food in it if you want to serve big part of their meal in it or you can simply put one or two crunchies in each compartment if you want to occupy your dog for a while without overfeeding them. The kids had a blast playing Soggy Doggy. The parents were very hesitant with the “shaking”but it really does not make a mess. It is simple for the group of 5 years olds to pick up on and play. It comes with the soggy doggy, the bathtub, game board, player pieces, tokens and die. You do need 3AA batteries so make sure you grab those too. Bought this for my 7 mo Queensland Heeler. Put a few training treats in each hole, covered it with the flap and then put the slide against the flap to make sure he had to do the two motions to get the treats. He had the first flap open in about 15 seconds. The flaps and slides have zero resistance so he didn't have to work to get them open. This Mr. Bill toy is bigger than I expected which was a nice surprise. I also expected a wheezing/squeaky sound to come from it, but no it does indeed have a voice box and it shouts "OH NOOOOOOOO!" when my dog bites on his belly. Both my dogs took to it quickly. I decided to try it out only for extra stimulation. One dog is an awfully fast eater so I eventually figured this would be a good “slow” feeder for her. She does not like working for her dinner haha. She’ll turn over a few bones and then walk away. I have to remind her to keep going but she does eventually finish.
