I just received my cat carrier today. It is sturdy and well-equipped. It has the regular carrying handles and it also has a large shoulder strap with ample cushioning on it. It opens from the top or there is a flap on the front of the carrier if you prefer to put the cat/dog in that way. Our cat has only been in a cat carrier one time and there was a lot of "fighting" just to get her into it. I suppose this one would be no easier to load a cat/dog. The carrier is black with mesh sides and front and there is a short leash attached to the inside, if needed. I wish it was a nicer color though. Our cat is also black, so it will be harder for us to see her once we put her inside. The carrier looks and feels very strong and durable though. It has a full zip front panel. The doggie is not as cute. The fur is very matted and not very soft and fluffy. My daughter loved it anyhow. After 3 three's the fur was in pretty bad shape however. My three year old daughter just fell in complete love with her own little puppy. We love that it’s very lightweight where she can carry her puppy in a bag all by herself.
